Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) has become an exciting and important technology in recent years because of the rapid proliferation of wireless devices. A mobile adhoc network consists of mobile nodes that can move freely in an open environment. Communicating nodes in a Mobile Adhoc Network usually seek the help of other intermediate nodes to establish communication channels. In such an environment, malicious intermediate nodes can be a threat to the security of conversation between mobile nodes. The security experience from the Wired Network world is of little use in Wireless Mobile Ad hoc networks, due to some basic di_erences between the two Networks. Therefore, some novel solutions are required to make Mobile Adhoc Network secure.
Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a bidirectional, high-speed and fully networked wireless communication technology similar to Wi-Fi. The term was coined by Harald Haas[1] and is a form of visible light communication and a subset of optical wireless communications (OWC) and could be a complement to RF communication (Wi-Fi or cellular networks), or even a replacement in contexts of data broadcasting.

According to GSMA, 5G to account for 15% of the global mobile industry by 2025 as 5G network launches accelerate. 5G is on track to account for 15% of global mobile connections by 2025, as the number of 5G network launches and compatible devices ramps up in 2019, according to a new GSMA report. Let us look at the supporting technologies for 5G and the widespread applications of 5G across multiple industries.
Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking technology that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for data transmission.Li-Fi is designed to use LED light bulbs similar to those currently in use in many energy-conscious homes and offices.
ABSTRACT
Cloud computing promises to significantly change the way we use computers and access and store our personal and business information. With these new computing and communications paradigms arise new data security challenges. Existing data protection mechanisms such as encryption have failed in preventing data theft attacks, especially those perpetrated by an insider to the cloud provider. For securing user data from such attacks a new paradigm called fog computing can be used. Fog Computing is a paradigm that extends Cloud computing and services to the edge of the network. Similar to Cloud, Fog provides data, compute, storage, and application services to end-users. The motivation of Fog computing lies in a series of real scenarios, such as Smart Grid, smart traffic lights in vehicular networks and software defined network .This technique can monitor the user activity to identify the legitimacy and prevent from any unauthorized user access. Here we have discussed this paradigm for preventing misuse of user data and securing information.

We are nearing the dawn of a very interesting age. From robotics, to smart homes, to web-connected lightbulbs, HVAC units, servers and routers—machines are in use everywhere. These machines have a lot to say, but what happens when you start listening? What things come to light and what new discoveries can you make? What questions can you now ask of your world? This session will explore the vast use cases where we have asked: Can I get data from that thing? If I can, what can it tell me? What happens if I Splunk it?

Get Cloud Resources to the IoT Edge with Fog ComputingBiren Gandhi
Fog Computing as a foundational architectural concept for Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoE).
Embedded devices in the IoT are hampered by the compute, storage, and service limitations of living life on the edge. As IoT edge devices comprise broader sensor networks for industrial automation, transportation, and other safety critical applications, their high uptime requirements are nonnegotiable and service latencies must be kept within realtime or near real time parameters. However, the size, weight, power, and cost constraints of edge platforms also inhibit the ondevice resources available for executing such functions. In this session, Gandhi will introduce Fog Computing, a new paradigm for the IoT that extends compute, storage, and application resources from the cloud to the network edge. Beyond the interplay between Fog and Cloud, Gandhi will show how Fog services can be leveraged across a range of heterogeneous platforms—from end user devices and access points to edge routers and switches—through software technology that facilitates the collection, storage, analysis, and fusion of data to drive success in your next IoT device deployment.

This presentation is focused on Automotive and 5G, the drivers, the current status and the challenges including network slicing and management and orchestration
This presentation is highlighting the architecture of 5G network and the need for a very efficient Management and Orchestration environnement, very automated and autonomous that monitors the network and services and trigger actions to optimize resources and meet quality of service.
With 5G comes slicing that will greatly benefit to the Automotive Industry to have virtual dedicated networks for different traffic, from Safety highly reliable to entertainment or less critical sensor data collection
5G will connect billions of devices, things and people and bring an Ocean of new opportunities to cope with continuous traffic growth, low latency service expectations, energy efficiency, urban density and many other requirements demanding more and more innovation in the CMOS, MEMS and Protonics space but also many other areas.
with IoT, the set of new requirements on the communication infrastructure is growing, leading to re-engineering of the network, introducing new technologies such as NFV, SDN, MEC, Fog , towards a 5G highly distributed, programmatic and dynamic architecture

A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
