2. What is The Fourth Wheel?
In a poorly paid British workplace, and 18 year old boy has to learn how to work with
his new annoying, comical and just plain weird colleague’s.
4. The Format and Technology
To film the sit-com I am
going to use a Nikon D3100.
My sit-com will be distributed
Via the internet on sites such
As Youtube and the sitcoms own website.
The script is self-written.
5. Duration and Audience
The pilot that we could be filming will be roughly two minutes long. An actual
episode would be 25-30 minutes (excluding E4’s advertisements).
The audience that would watch this type of sit-com would be predominately
male, who are working class between the ages of 15-35. If the sit-com were
to be taken up, it would be shown at a pre-watershed time.
6. Style of this sit-com
‘The Fourth Wheel’ is a predominantly British sit-com with
‘Urban Humour’. With a high level of innuendo and fast paced
comical one-liners, similar to the style of other British sit-coms.
Inbetweeners -”Who wants a model that looks like a spotty baby crossed with the Statue of
Liberty?”
Inbetweeners- “They do say 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... except polio”
The IT Crowd- ”The internet doesn't weigh anything!”
7. Rationale
My sit-com will relate to everyday working
class as the characters will have strong
stereotypical personalities and you would
most likely be able to associate each
character to someone in your life that you
know.
Even though the main subject matter won’t
be current media trends and events, there
will be an underlying reference to them
throughout.
8. • Feasibility- All location and resources could be claimed and
used on site in college. Also all actors for the sit-com could be
willing drama students from the college.
• Budget- There is currently no cost as we would be using
college as a locations and we already have the equipment.
• Deadlines- TBA
