This document summarizes the study of single super phosphate (SSP) and granular single super phosphate (GSSP). It describes the different grades of phosphate rock, forms of super phosphate, and processes for producing SSP and GSSP. SSP is produced by treating rock phosphate with sulfuric acid in a ball mill and mixers. GSSP is produced by granulating SSP and drying the granules. Both SSP and GSSP are economical fertilizers that can increase crop yields by improving soil properties and plant growth. They are commonly used in developing countries and for standing crops.
