they both are and how they like to gossip.
I am pretty positive Chaucer meant for the Old Hag to be related to the Wife of Bath for the
different reasons I have explained. It is still odd how the character made it into Canterbury Tales but
interesting all the same; The Wife of Bath s story best describe whom she herself actually is.
Chaucer s portraits of the clergy and church related position show evidence of a religious system
full of corruption and hypocrisy. Examine in depth 2 or 3 of Chaucer s pilgrim portraits from the
prologue, illustrate or demonstrate how the medieval church was in need of reform.

hidden sins among the townspeople and himself. The veil acted as a mirror, making all the

The Birth Of Pregnancy After C Sections
A majority of mothers prepare for their pregnancies with full intention of a vaginal birth at the
end of their third trimester. However, there is a possibility that medical conditions could arise,
such as a baby who is positioned incorrectly, preeclampsia, or toxemia. Therefore, a cesarean
delivery is the safest way. Most believe that subsequent pregnancies require subsequent C
sections. Today, many mothers are opting for VBACs aka vaginal birth after C sections. A C
Section, or Cesarean Section, is a major surgery to deliver a baby who may suffer from
complications or could be breech. They may also be done in response to the mother and the
complications that she may have. It is done by cutting through the wall of the mother s abdomen.
It can be life threatening to the mother and the baby. It can raise the risk to the mother and could
even complicate future pregnancies. American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist
suggest offering the opportunity to pursue a VBAC. An evidence review in 2003 found that
overall VBAC success rates were greater than fifty percent (Ebelle 1192 4). This study shows that
the success rate of VBACs are improving each year. C Sections are the most common surgery in
the U.S. and account for about one third of all U.S. births today. Since the 1990s, the C Section
rate has risen sixty percent (Shute: Doctors Urge.... ). The risk of a C Section to a mother include
but are not limited to: weakened uterus, bladder injuries, and/or blood
