Symptoms Of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
It is estimated that as many as one out of every four people suffers the symptoms of seasonal affective
disorder; better known as SAD. SAD is a form of depression that comes about as the daylight grows
shorter in the autumn and winter months and changes the way people s bodies react to their day. The
causes of SAD and its symptoms are comparable to clinical depression, yet has risk factors that force
it to stick out. SAD can be best understood by learning about its causes, symptoms and risk factors.
SAD may not have any specific cause, but some factors include your biological clock and serotonin
levels. One of the main sources of a person s decline is a lack of natural sunlight: The reduced level of
sunlight in the fall and winter may cause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Symptoms can differ depending on the season and person: The timing of SAD symptoms can vary by
months or weeks. As someone may begin to feel SAD symptoms in September, another person can
feel well until after Christmas (E. Rosenthal, 2013). During the colder months of the year it is no
surprise that gaining weight, oversleeping or having low energy occurs in 10 20 percent of people.
These symptoms increase through the months of keeping warm in our houses and holidays with
family. Sufferers may crave comfort foods such as pastas, breads and sugar which would lead to
weight gain and negative body image. In the spring and summer months a person with SAD is more
likely to have weight loss, insomnia or anxiety. Those symptoms bear resemblance to mania than
depression. The symptoms for the seasons seem to be opposite of each other, and show that SAD is a
depression to take seriously. Sometime the location of where a person is living can change how they
are affected: The timing of the appearance of symptoms also depends on where a person lives (E.
Rosenthal, 2013). People who live further from the equator are more likely to suffer from more severe
symptoms. These symptoms include thoughts of suicide or death, low self esteem and loss of interest
in daily activities. These sufferers will feel down for days at a time and may even turn to alcohol or
drugs to cope. These symptoms should drive a person to want to see their doctor. The symptoms of
SAD have the ability to change based on the risk

The Worst Phone Call Of My Life
On February 5th 2006 I received the worst phone call of my entire life. The day before was my
eighteenth birthday in which two of my best friends help celebrate with food, pop, and games! On that
night I invited my three closest friends, one of which never showed. Throughout the night my friends
and I continually phoned our friend to try and figure out why he never showed up. After numerous
attempts we decided he most likely drank too much beer, while his parents were known to be out of
town, and just passed out forgetting about my birthday. The next morning I had a voicemail from my
friends Mom asking me if he ever came over my house because he was no were to be found. I
immediately phoned my friends mother and she sadly informed me that my friend was found in the
woods unconscious after hitting a tree with his snowmobile. He was found at 6 am in the morning by
his father in 20 degree weather. My friend was unconscious for almost 8 hours in the cold before being
rushed to the University of Michigan Medical center. I have always been interested in computers my
entire life, from the engineering aspect all the way to software development. The weeks following my
friend s accident proved to shape my interest in computer science and artificial intelligence greatly.
Frostbite to his fingers prompted doctors to remove all ten with just leaving his hands in place. Three
separate brain surgeries occurred to remove multiple blood clots and an entire facial reconstruction

Exploring How Alfred Hitchcock Manipulates The Audience In Psycho
Alfred Joseph Hitchcock is thought to be, by most, the greatest film director of all time. He was born
in Leytonstone, London on13 August 1899. He directed many great films such as The Lodger, The
Birds, Sabotage, Notorious, Rear Window, and of course one of his greatest achievements ever,
Psycho in 1960. He directed the first British sound film Blackmail. Alfred Hitchcock once said,
Audience reaction is more important than the content of the film . Throughout and before the playing
of Psycho, Hitchcock manipulates the audience in many ways.

Normans mother is dead, but is alive in the mind of Norman. She is therefore dominating Normans
mind. Alfred Hitchcock makes us infer that the mother was alive throughout the film. This
manipulates the audience throughout the film. The audience thinks that the mother is alive, and
therefore, she can potentially be the killer in the film. She is the killer in the film, yet is not the killer.
Hitchcock also makes some scenes in the film sound so immense, that he is unable to describe it. As
he describes something, he talks really fast, giving us an impression that it is a fast scene. He also does
not finish the sentences. This makes the audience want to see what really happens in the film.

When describing some scenes in the film, he uses hand movements to show twisting . This makes us
eager to see what happens. When Alfred Hitchcock reaches some parts of the set, he makes some faces
and talks differently. This makes the audience infer that something important or something significant
has happened there. This manipulates the audience because they know something is going to happen,
but do not know exactly what.
Music is also used to manipulate the audience during the trailer. Bernard Herrman composes the main
theme music used in Psycho. This music is very sinister,

The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract
The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts
intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties have
expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the courts have
become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby encroaching upon
the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a prevailing philosophy
which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to agree on their own terms
without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can be viewed as a technique of
construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the courts are interfering too much
in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a contract. The aim of this essay is to explore
this argument further and in doing so consider whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts
imposing implied terms. The essay will outline how the common law implies terms. The final part of
the essay will examine whether Parliament, by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict
freedom in a contract. An overall conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident
that terms implied at common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter
of fact are said to give effect to unexpressed intentions of the

Essay on Magic and Superstition in the Middle Ages
Superstitions have influenced the lives of human beings perhaps since the beginning of mankind. For
millennia, people have clung to beliefs and practices surrounding preternatural activities. Even after
science has produced evidence to explain what was once considered supernatural, the superstitious
traditions have continued. During the Middle Ages, many new superstitious rituals were developed
and some can still be seen in use today. However, the trivial superstitious rituals of today, such as
hanging a horse shoe on a door or knocking on wood to bring good fortune, did not begin so simply.
Superstition, as defined by the Oxford dictionary is, excessively credulous belief in and reverence for
the supernatural. In no other time was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here, the belief shifted from searching for a higher spirituality to having found that elevation in the
Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ. This alteration in the philosophical outlook of the people brought about
a whole new aspect of the supernatural. Now that there was a great power to believe in, there were sets
of rules introduced to ensure pure worship of the new found Incarnate Word. A few centuries later, the
renowned Roman Statesman Cassiodorus (485 585AD) would quote the meaning of philosophy in a
way that would help characterize the culture of Christendom, which would therefore determine the
way for superstitions to transpire throughout the Middle Ages. Cassiodorus said, Philosophy is to be
assimilated to God insofar as this is possible for a human being (McGinn 33). Following this
impactful clarification, many changes occurred in Christian spirituality. Ancient Christianity was
evolving into a new Medieval Christianity . With those changes came the birth of many interesting,
sometimes bizarre, superstitions which would affect the lives of many and even contribute to the
modification of other religions. Around 1141AD, Hugh of Saint Victor would claim that Magic was
not accepted as a part of philosophy, but stands with a false claim outside it ( Chronology of Modern
Christianity: Timeline of Witches and Witchcraft ). Magic, evidently, had its own metaphysical
classification with its own set

Analysis Of Ellen Degeneres s The Puppy Episode
Ellen DeGeneres got almost destroyed after her coming out to the public during her career peak. In
1994, DeGeneres reached her height of popularity as an actress with her self titled television sitcom,
Ellen, which was originally titled These Friends of Mine. This ABC show was popular in its first few
seasons due to DeGeneres s style of observational humor.
Following DeGeneres came out as a lesbian on The Oprah Winfrey Show in February 1997, her
character in Ellen became the first lead in sitcom history to openly acknowledge her homosexuality on
air. The coming out episode, titled The Puppy Episode , was one of the highest rated episode of any
show on the network during that time ( Ellen DeGeneres Biography ).
However, the show faces stronger criticism and was forced to end. An ABC affiliate in Birmingham,
Alabama, refused to air the landmark episode. Fearing controversy, some of the show s sponsors,
Daimler Chrysler among them, withdrew advertisements ( Ellen DeGeneres Biography ). Even though
ABC made no comment other than to confirm the cancellation officially, It was believed that The Walt
Disney Company, ABC s parent owner, had become uncomfortable with the subject matter depicted
on the show now that DeGeneres character was openly gay (Carter). Despite a supportive audience, an
Emmy Award for the coming out episode and the show s groundbreaking place in television history,
Ellen was canceled in 1998.
The specter of earlier intolerance cast a long shadow

Tilt The Business Towards Biscuits
Tilt the Business towards Biscuits
Introduction
We found the solution for off season problem. Now, Big Bottom Market owners can touch the
difference. By focusing on food products offered by Big Bottom Market, we found that the store menu
is characterized by colorful verity of food. Especially, a signature item Big Bottom biscuits. The
biscuits are home made, and credited to one of the owners mother who supervises personally on
making them. The biscuits offered with different flavors and shapes earned the customers admiration
and provided relatively high percentage of the store sales during the peak season. Using our
competitive advantage, we can introduce our unique product to other food stores and restaurants.
From this standpoint, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Adding 5 percent discount to our cost structure will motivate new customers and keep our profit at the
same level by increasing quantities sold.
Target market. We are going to target an area with different sales trend during our off season. Focus on
area with positive sale trend during the fall season. For example, the American Football season starts
on September to December followed by Basketball season which start on October and finish by April.
Focusing on area which has plenty number of sport clubs and restaurants would enhance the
likelihood to success applying this solution.
Implementation
The road map to implement this solution is described as step by step process. It shows how we can
enhance our profitability, shows how our capital structure would change when we apply this method,
and shows guidelines how to bring this idea into execution
Profitability. As a beginning we can start deal with five different restaurants to introduce our biscuits
into their menus. Depending on available data, we can recover 60 percent of the $20,000 short in sales
during the off season. In addition, we can keep distributing theses biscuits during the high season as a
second source of income. According to an article based on the National Restaurants Association and
Deloitte LLP report in 2010, we found that food industry profit margin represents around 20 percent of
the overall sales. This means, our $20,000 sales the peak season results $4,000 profit weekly basis.

Sample Based Music Plagiarism
Based on research I have undertaken from articles and my own opinions I intend to look into the
ethics of sample based music and music plagiarism in the use of making music today and looking to
see if musical quality has suffered. Some may argue that the quality of the music has suffered, this
maybe true but is it only a problem that lies within sample based music? I will look to put forward my
argument and ideas as to why I think music on the whole may have suffered and it is not just down to
sample based music. Musical borrowing is a pervasive aspect of musical creation in all Genres and all
periods.(From J.C. Bach to Hip Hop:Musical Borrowing,Copyright and Cultural Context

Pros And Cons Of Justin Theroux
Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux may not be legally married A few days after Justin Theroux and
Friends star Jennifer Aniston announced their separation following two years of marriage, reports have
emerged alleging that the duo were not legally married. According to TMZ.com, there is no evidence
of them being legally married in LA County. The couple had met on the sets of Tropic Thunder in
2008 and began dating in 2011. In 2015, Jennifer and Justin got married at their Bel Air mansion.
However an investigation in the marriage records in LA County has shown that the couple have no

The Cash Rate Is The Overnight Money Market Interest Rate...
The cash rate is the overnight money market interest rate implemented by the Reserve Bank of
Australia. The Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia meet monthly to determine the cash rate for the
following month, taking into account various economic conditions, both globally and domestically.
Since August 2013, the cash rate in Australia has been at a record low, of 2.5 per cent (Reserve Bank
of Australia, 2013). The three factors which will be considered in determining the cash rate for
October 2014 are; the housing market boom , the falling value of the Australian dollar and iron ore
prices trading at an all time low. Based on these three factors, on the 4th of October, the cash rate
should be kept at the current rate of 2.5 per cent.
With the latest inflation result showing inflation to be around the mid band target of the 2 3% target,
no immediate cash rate decisions need to be made to control inflation. The cash rate is closely related
to the monetary policy. As the inflation target helps the RBA achieve its three objectives of monetary
policy, and the cash rate ultimately influences the level of inflation in the economy, the cash rate and
monetary policy can be seen to be closely related. The three objectives of monetary policy are;
maintaining price stability, full employment and economic prosperity and welfare of the Australian
people (Reserve Bank of Australia, 2013). The objectives of monetary policy will also be covered in
this essay and how the current will

VI.Causes of Bullying VII.Stories Bullying Bullying in its many forms affects all people no matter
what age, gender, and class, but the effects can be very dangerous and very hurtful. There are many
different types of bullying and they can affect people in many different ways that can be very harmful
to kids that do not know how to handle it. Kids that do not know how to handle getting bullied often
become depressed or even suicidal. Why do kids get bullied, and why do kids bully other kids?
Bullying is a repeated aggressive behavior where one person is in a position of power to harm or
abuse someone else. There are three main characteristics when incidents occur with bullying. One of
the characteristics of bullying is intentional; behavior is an aggressive and deliberate attempt to hurt
someone. A second characteristic involves the repeated aggressive actions, which occur over time to
the same target or group of targets. The third characteristic involves a power imbalance where the
person bullying has more power over the target being bullied ( What is bullying? 1). The four types of
bullying affect each kid differently because of the way it

Advantage And Disadvantage Of Housemaids
Introduction For this project, I investigate the current debate surrounding the idea of keeping
housemaids with children for purposes; such as, taking care of the children and serving them is a good
or bad idea. Besides, because our values and norms are changed; as well as, our behaviors and
thoughts are changed by technology and globalization. In the past, there were no housemaids and the
parents have to serve themselves; in contrast, now, both parents are working, so they need somebody
to help them at home and to look after their children. However, with all advantages of housemaids,
everything has a negative side and housemaids also have disadvantages. This research will examine
this on a global or international scope. The aim of the research ... Show more content on

The sub reasons are parents don t know to deal with children as this research stated that housemaids
know things about the children more than their parents. Besides, this research reported that housemaid
was treating the child harshly, that is because housemaids see this work as a job to have money which
means they are not parents.
Conclusion/Recommendations
To conclude, leaving the children with housemaids can create problems; for example, they will make
unethical behaviors, they will be close to the children more than their parents and they will impact the
children s language.
However, you can solve those problems by putting your children in daycare or nursery school where
can play and interact with other children instead of picking up a new language or bad behaviors. The
second solution is living with a big family that children can communicate more with people from
same beliefs and behaviors. The last solution, if the parents decide to have children, one of them has to

All Saints Day in Guatemala
All Saints Day, which is celebrated in Guatemala, is a day of celebrating loved ones who have died.
This day, Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, originated in Mexico centuries ago. 1 It is a day
of joy and not of sorrow. This is the when people pray for help from the saints who have passed on.
They also pray that those who have died without becoming saints will become saints. Fancy
decorations, food, and fun are all joined together to help celebrate this day in Guatemala. The home is
one of the places that is beautifully decorated. An alter is set up with pictures of their loved ones,
candles, flowers, bread, fruit, atole and aguardiente. Atole is a drink that is made of corn flour and
water; while aguardiente is liquor made from sugar cane. The people continue their rituals and before
dawn they place flowers above the doors of their home to welcome the spirits of their deceased loved
ones.2 This adds to the beautiful decor of the home. Next, comes the decorations at the grave side.
People clean the tomb stones, paint them, and then decorate them with many colorful flowers. Flowers
like lilies, chrysanthemums, and flor de muerto (a strong marigold) are used to decorate.3 At the tops
of the graves are placed wax paper wreaths.4 The cemeteries on this day turn into a massive color
display. After the wreaths are placed, it is time to eat.5 The families have picnics there in the

Aristotle’s Theory of Virtue and Happiness
Aristotle s Theory of Virtue and Happiness
Aristotle was one of the most respected philosophers of all time. He wrote on many subjects covering
a wide range of topics; politics, psychology, metaphysics, logic and ethics. In the article Nature of
Virtue written by Aristotle, his theory of a persons happiness and good morals is explained. I agree
that a human s goal in life is to be happy, and to live a good life but happiness and good do not come
hand in hand. In this paper, I disagree with Aristotle s proper function argument.
The word happiness is a much broader term to Aristotle than what we think of. (Johnston, Para. F) By
happiness he means successful, living a good life and physical well being. A fully happy life would ...

You must be taught to be good in order to be good. According to Aristotle, your characteristics come
from your actions; in other words, you become good by doing good (Cahn 113). Under Aristotle s
theory, to be a good person, you must have been taught to be good at a young age to acquire good
morals. In order to profit from the sort of study he is undertaking, one must already have been brought
up in good habits ( Traditional Virtues and The Skeptic .) This means the group of people with
potential to have virtue and happiness is limited. It is limited to the people who come from a family
with good ethics. The only people who are going to become good, are the people who are already well
on their way to be good because their family is training them to be this way. But what about the people
who come from bad families? Or what about the people who were raised by ethically good families?
For example, a child who was brought up by parents who had no ethics or good morals at all. The
mother was a drug addict, and the father ran away while the child was at an early age. The child wasn
t taught anything about morals, and did not have a proper upbringing what so ever. Everything the
child knew was learnt on his own, and he decided who he wanted to be an acted in relation to this.
This child ends up being a good person, has a good job, and lives in happiness. When Aristotle makes

The Pro Life vs Pro Choice Debate
History of Abortion The 1973 court case Roe v. Wade was a landmark decision for United States
history, and it still remains very controversial today. The Court ruled that the right to privacy applied
to a woman s choice to have an abortion, therefore legalizing the action. Abortion is officially defined
as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of
pregnancy. Today there are two groups continuing this battle, pro life and pro choice . People who
define themselves as pro life believe that abortion is unethical and insist that the Roe v. Wade decision
be overturned. On the other side of the battle, pro choicers fight to get even more liberation for
women.
Pro choice Argument The main argument of pro choicers is that women should be responsible for
anything involving their own body, because no one else is living her life, and...she will have to live
with [her] decision [to have an abortion] (Pollitt 12). The government isn t affected by a woman
having an abortion, so they shouldn t be involved in the decision. Although they re pleased that
abortion is legal in the United States, present day supporters are still pushing for modifications to the
1973 Supreme Court ruling: Roe v. Wade was all about privacy, but the most private parts of a woman
s body and the most private decisions she will ever make have never been more public (Pollitt

I Chose Roses And Birds Number 5 By Kiki Smith Essay
I chose Roses and Birds Number 5 by Kiki Smith as my western piece and for my non western piece I
chose a Spanish Colonial piece called Ornaments. I was originally drawn to Roses and Birds Number
5 because of the thin lines, the flowers, and how its fragility added an aura of femininity. Upon closer
inspection of the art, I appreciated the artist s use of Nepalese paper as her canvas. Unlike Kiki Smith
s piece, I wasn t immediately drawn to Ornaments. The metal, while shiny, looked cold and hard. The
piece is a floral arrangement, but looking at it I couldn t envision the soft petals of flowers. Once I put
aside my personal feelings and started observing the piece from the stand point of my Art
Appreciation class, I can see the effort and elements the artist must have used. That is why I chose it
as my contrast for this paper. In this paper, I will attempt to compare and contrast a western and non
western piece of art using the visual elements and the design principles I ve learned this semester. I
will also explain why I believe the western artist was influenced by non western art and give a brief
description of the artist and the culture that inspired them. Kiki Smith was born in Nuremberg,
Germany in 1954. Her father was an American artist who specialized in sculptor. Having a parent who
studied and practiced art would have no doubt given Kiki Smith the ability to expand her own artistic
pursuits from a young age. However, as she grew into adulthood, she

issues can be as much of a determinant of state behavior, as any other factor. This is not to prove that
certain explanations are better than others, but rather to underscore the validity in geographical
explanations; even if variables are not exclusively affiliated to the central subject of my study, they
can still hold powerful implications. My research design would organize a geographical positioning

Second, Polity IV offers a much more detailed signal of change than most other indicators of
democracy. The data set ranges from 10 to +10, in which a Polity Score is determined through a
country s placement in one of three categories: autocracies ( 10 to 6), anocracies ( 5 to 5), and
democracies (6 to 10). In this, a 20 point measurement of political class is produced of each country,
every year. To measure economic reform, I chose the Index of Economic Freedom; an annual index
and ranking system created in 1995 through the Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal. This
particular tool evaluates countries on ten economic factors:
1. trade policy 6. property rights
2. taxation 7. banking

only these indicators because I believe they provide thorough insight into the conjoining issues of post
Communist legacies and overall geographical access namely, how close they are to a body of water
large enough for ports. The scores for this computation are ranked as follows: Repressed (0 to 49.9),

Why the Spanish Armada Invaded Britain and Lost Essay
Spanish Armada Essay
In this essay I am going to look at why the Spanish armada wanted to invade Britain and why they
failed to do so, was it down to luck or were the British too smart for the Spanish. And was it all
England s glory?
The Spanish wanted to invade England was mainly to turn England back into a catholic country, and
to get Queen Elizabeth of the throne and to get a queen who was for the catholic monarch on the
throne. However there are many other reasons: Firstly Philip II couldn?t accept that was not the king
of England, as he was married to Queen Mary I, who was the Queen before Elizabeth. Secondly, when
Philip proposed to Elizabeth she turned him down. Another reason is Elizabeth wouldn?t stop the
privateers from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, before Philip sent the ships out Admiral Sanata Cruz, Spain?s best sailor, died and Philip
replaced him with the Duke of Medina Sidonia, who suffered from seasickness and did not really want
to do the job. Was this a good idea? And should the Spanish of waited to find a new leader who
wanted to do the job?
During the sail up to England the Armada were told to keep a crescent formation no matter what
happened this was the golden rule. The idea of this was so if an English ship was to come in from
behind they could scoop it up like a net. The formation was that the stronger ships would go at the
front so they could easily surround any English ships that threatened the centre. This was the plan,
however it did not all go that way! Lord Howard, commander of the English fleet, used some of the
lighter and faster English ships to ?pick off? some of the stragglers (ones that were lagging behind)
whilst they were sailing up the English channel. Unfortunately this did not really affect the crescent
shape. Next came arguably one of the smartest moves in the battle, on 7th August Sir Francis Drake

American Dream Argumentative Essay
In 1937, James Truslow Adams coined the term American Dream in his book The Epic of America.
Adams stated the American Dream was a land of opportunity for everyone. In this utopia, every man
and woman is able to reach their highest potential in employment, housing, and family regardless of
birth or position, because they worked hard and earned it ( What is The American Dream? ). Ever
since 1937, Americans have had this idea in their head of finally achieving the American Dream with
their spouse, house, white picket fence, 2.5 kids, and movement up the socioeconomic ladder. It is
what people whisper at night as they leave their war torn streets for a better life. Yet in the past few
years, that dream has begun to crumble. I believe Millennials are waking up to see that this dream
utopia is flawed.
Homeownership is a double edged sword. It is the American Dream to one day own a house.
Compared to their predecessors, Millennials are seeing the advantages and disadvantages of
homeownership at an earlier age. These early generations believed owning a house was the cherry on
top to being an all around American and achieving the American Dream . As a cynical generation who
grew up with information at our fingertips and the world falling around us, millennials see
homeownership differently. The cautious and conservative approach to home buying displayed by
millennials is driven by the fact their outlook on life was shaped by a number of bad things when they
were young the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, the 2008 financial crisis, the
housing bust with mass foreclosures and a weak recovery that has so far provided incomes below that
of prior generations (Stowe England, 36). We learned that the world was not fair and that it is time to
redefine the American Dream to reflect our current economic society.
Owning a house comes with various responsibilities, many of which Millennials cannot absolve.
Firstly, homeowners set down roots by owning a house. Previous generations knew that once they
bought this house they would live there until the end of their days. Millennials do not experience that
type of lifestyle, especially in a job market where they might be required to move outside of

Types Of Threats Faced By Malicious Softwares ( Malwares )
1. Based on the information in this case analysis, what are the types of threats DBR may be facing?
Major threats faced by DBR are:
Attacks by Advanced Persistence Threat (APT): APTs are the attacks usually carried out by some
humans who stealthily targets a specific entity to steal intellectual property for personal or business
gains. These are some highly sophisticated attacks which are very difficult to detect unless you have a
sound cybersecurity measures put in place to prevent them to target your system. APTs are major
threat in case of DBR because some vendors have informed management about such activities but
they are not sure if it is a real threat nor do not have any mechanism to counter such threats.
Attacks by Malicious softwares (Malwares, Phishing): All the workstations of DBR uses a local virus
scanner. Viruses come in various forms like Malwares, Worms, Trojans etc. and an inefficient virus
protector is as worse as not having any protection at all. One good thing about DBR is that they us
VPN to transfer information across the network but security threats can still occur if the individual
workstations are not protected properly. Moreover, a local virus protection can hardly protect from the
phishing attacks which try to get user information through E mails.
Attacks through Social Engineering: Social Engineering involves attacks on information security by
deceiving users and exploiting them and make them reveal the confidential information. The

Development Of A Forest That Is Dominated By Sugar Maple
Abstract
Students conducted research relating to mechanisms of coexistence within a forest that is dominated
by sugar maple (Acer saccharum) compared to beech (Fagus grandifolia). The objective of the study
was to test three hypotheses relating to competition within trees, maintenance along with regeneration
of sugar maple and beech within Warren Woods, located in Michigan, IL. The first evaluated whether
or not highly despotic forms of lottery completion was present, in which a few trees ever achieve
canopy. Second, in response to competition, canopy trees were evaluated in terms of being uniformly
or randomly distributed within their unique environment. Third, evidence of tradeoffs as both types of
trees make their way up to a canopy was assessed. From the plots established and analyzing through
density and frequency, students examined that sugar maple was more abundant, viewed in large
fractions among the sub canopy classes. Beech may have had a lower frequency, yet it had a higher
density in Warren Woods. Evidence suggested that there was a lottery competition taking place in the
forest, as seen by the number of seedlings being higher than saplings, which are greater than sub
canopies, which are greater than canopies. The evaluation of the understory environment determined
that a mechanism of coexistence, between both species, was evident since the number of canopies was
higher than that of sub canopies. Each class appears to coexist well with one another while

Domestic Violence Against Women in Canada Essay
Introduction Intimate partner violence has been a significant issue for centuries in all countries. Since
1974, nearly 2,600 spousal homicides have been recorded in Canada (Bunge, 2002). Of these
homicides, more than three quarters have been against women. Although through feminism and the
women s liberation movement, there has been a slight improvement in the incidences of violence
against women, there has also been a drastic change in the perception of the issue by society. After
reviewing the most recent literature on violence against women and victimization through intimate
partners, it has become prevalent that there are now two crucial stances that are taken. The first
position is that of the women being victimized as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, changing nature of intimate relationships, increasing gender equality, legislative
changes, policy and procedural changes, etc. (Bunge, 2002). Between 1974 and 2000, the homicide
rate for women decreased by 62% and the homicide rate for men dropped by more than half 55%
(Bunge, 2002) which demonstrates the drastic decline in intimate partner violence including
homicides. Secondly, one of the general concepts behind the literature examined would be the idea
that intimate partner violence is now going through a process of normalization. For instance, popular
women s magazines frame domestic violence in a way that normalizes the victims s responsibility
while ignoring the role of the abuser and society (Berns, 2001). Individuals construct their own
conceptions of what is normal and acceptable. These conceptions, what Cicourel (1968) calls
background expectancies govern all social interaction (Berns, 2001). With the norms that society
creates being the main control of interaction amongst society, it is clear that by allowing the
perspective of intimate partner violence as normal will create unawareness about the issue and may
perpetuate further issues. Women who have respect and power outside the home through community
activities, including participation in microcredit schemes, are less likely to be abused than those who
do not (Jewkes, 2002).

Herodotus wrote the most about Cyrus, and his birth story written by him is the one most accepted, on
the other hand this birth story could also be called a folk story as it mentions Cyrus as having
superhuman qualities.
According to Herodotus, Astyages, who was the king of the Median Empire, gave his daughter to an
ally in Persis named Cambyses. While his daughter was pregnant, Astyages dreamt of the baby
overthrowing him and destroying his success when it grew older. Astyages then ordered his grandson
to be killed, but that order was not carried out as his chief advisor gave the baby to a Shepard. 10 years
later, Astyages was unexpectedly reunited with his grandson when he went to discover what he
believed to be a random child with superhuman qualities. Astyages was convinced by his chief advisor
to let Cyrus live. Another birth story is written by Ctesias (another Greek historian), who claimed that
Cyrus was not royal. Instead, he was born into a nomad tribe from Mard. His mother (Argste) dreamt
of her unborn son becoming a great king. Cyrus was born and grew up as a servant of Astyages, and
Astyages sent Cyrus to supress a revolt; however he did not obey the orders and he participated in the
revolt against Astyages, which resulted in him losing his throne and Cyrus gaining it.

Alexander the Second and the Title Tsar Liberator
In the 19th Century, Russia had no zemstva, very little education, industry and railway building, a
biased judicial system and very few freed peasants. Czar Alexander II, who succeeded Nicolas I in
1855, went some ways to remedying these deficiencies through a series of reforms. Alexander II
became the great modernizer of Russia, walking a delicate line between preserving Russia s Slavic
identity and enabling its people to benefit from Western advancements. For this reason he was known
to some as the Czar Liberator . However, indeed he was a liberator in name only.

For the educational reform, the Czar adopted a more liberal education. Censorship was relaxed, the
universities were given freedom and independence, and more Western ideas were introduced to
scholars and students. People were more open minded and became to demand more under these liberal
reforms.
Though Czar Alexander II returned to reactionary rule when an attempt was made to assassinate him
in the 1860s, he did turn once more to reform in 1880. He made plans to set up a General Commission
which would include representatives from the Zemstva. This would not be a parliament but would be a
consultative voice when the Czar required it. But this was an attempt towards a parliamentary
government.
Superficially, Czar Alexander II seemed to be so liberate from his series of reform. Yet,
notwithstanding these measures, it would be wrong, as is sometimes done, to describe Alexander II as
a liberal. He was in fact a firm upholder of autocratic principles, sincerely convinced both of his duty
to maintain the God given autocratic power he had inherited and of Russia s unreadiness for
constitutional or representative government.
For the emancipation of serfs, it was actually essential more than out of the Czar s willingness. The
bulk of the Russian population, about 80%, were the peasants and serfs. Alexander II recognised that
emancipation was vital. Freed

Christian Morality Has Become A Tale Of Shame
According to Nietzsche genealogy of Christian morality has become a tale of shame wherein the weak
promote the propagation of a lie and foster a mistaken explanation for suffering. By overlooking the
will to power that occurs naturally in all the people, Christianity cages, and dulls the will preventing it
from expressing itself. This in turn creates problems by removing the individual s ability to master
their own life turning them into puppets under the guidance of the government. From the Christian
perspective, nihilistic views empower the people giving them hope and a belief in internal strength.
From Nietzsche s view point Christianity and its by product democracy in fact remove any sense of
power or self from the realm of the weak. There is no room for advancement until death. Nietzsche
points to alternative sources of suffering and punishment noting a sadistic expression of will to power
that in some ways is reminiscent of sociopathic tendencies. The best human life uses will to power as
a motivator. The weak and the strong seek to fulfill their desires and the expression as such can be
varied. It can be the source of punishment as expressed in the past and modernity. According to
Nietzsche, man should murder and taunt to fulfill his needs. This all became restricted with the advent
of modern society creating only a space for internal suffering and anger. In moments of public
suffering, will to power is expressed but is still primarily constrained by

The Internet and Academic Dishonesty
Term paper mills are not a new development, and neither is dishonesty. However, the rise of the
internet into an information hivemind has made commiting academic dishonesty easier, faster, and
more clandestine than ever. In the case of higher education, the number of paper mills is rising at an
alarming rate. []
Most paper services fall under one of two categories: editing sites and paper mills. Editin sites seem
harmless from an academic standpoint: students can have their papers proofread at any time, with
quick turnovers in the case of looming deadlines. The students write their own papers and the editors
merely mark areas that need improvement and give general guidelines for grammar and stylistic
changes. Of course, most people would be unwilling to pay $6.95[1] for proofreading. It is more likely
that these sites heavily alter the essays they receive for editing , making them more of a co writer of
the paper rather than just a reader. Paper mills are the more common online paper service: they usually
keep many essays in stock with small excerpts available on their website. Buying a paper from these
websites is not unethical, and there are cases where using another student s work to find primary
sources and integrate such essay in one s own would be beneficial. In fact, most paper mill websites
usually include a disclaimer stating that all papers they sell must be used as a reference. The following

Rust Vs Wild Fly
Phenotypic expression of the mutation is isolated to the eyes of adult flies, with no differences
observed in developmental stages. The feature characteristic is eye color: mutant adults express a
darker, reddish brown color in contrast to the wild type red eye. Additionally, no pseudopupil is
observed in mutants. However this may be due to the darker eye color obscuring visibility of a
pseudopupil. Newly eclosed flies express a lighter mutant phenotype than older flies. The mutation is
nicknamed Rust due to the similarities between iron oxide, a reddish brown compound that forms and
darkens after exposure to oxygen, and the mutant eye color following eclosion. Male and female
mutant flies show no differences in phenotype aside from sexual dimorphism. Figure 1 shows the

The Pros And Cons Of Air Compressor
Introduction
There are few things more frustrating to a car owner than a flat tire, especially when that flat tire is
discovered just before a big getaway. Remedying a deflated tire can be a chore, but when you
introduce an air compressor to the situation it becomes a whole lot easier.
What Is An Air Compressor?
An air compressor is a device which is used to compress and store air. When the time comes to release
the air into another object, the gas is pushed into its new home with immense force, which is what
makes air compressors so useful when it comes to inflating a car tire in a timely manner.
However, the uses of an air compressor extend far beyond the realm of automobiles. Owing to their
ability to convert electric energy into kinetic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cartman Car Air Compressor
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F8HI600
The Cartman Car Air Compressor is a heavy duty yet relatively inexpensive air compressor designed
for those who must inflate a couple of tires at a time.
Pros
Powerful
When it comes to sheer power, you re going to struggle to find a better air compressor than this. It
comes fitted with an extra strength motor, which allows for complete inflation in half the time of the
average air compressor.
Quiet
Powerful motors often create quite a bit of noise pollution, but that is not the case with the Cartman
Car Air Compressor. Despite the incredible strength of its motor, it is almost entirely silent when in
use.
Cons
Possibly Too Demanding
The above average strength of this air compressor is great. That is, of course, if your car can handle it.
If your car isn t particularly powerful, you may run into a bit of trouble. Multiple users of the Cartman
Car Air Compressor have claimed that it resulted in blown fuses in their vehicles. A blown fuse in a
car isn t too challenging to fix, but it is a major inconvenience if you re far from home, so it s best to

  • 2. Symptoms Of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) It is estimated that as many as one out of every four people suffers the symptoms of seasonal affective disorder; better known as SAD. SAD is a form of depression that comes about as the daylight grows shorter in the autumn and winter months and changes the way people s bodies react to their day. The causes of SAD and its symptoms are comparable to clinical depression, yet has risk factors that force it to stick out. SAD can be best understood by learning about its causes, symptoms and risk factors. SAD may not have any specific cause, but some factors include your biological clock and serotonin levels. One of the main sources of a person s decline is a lack of natural sunlight: The reduced level of sunlight in the fall and winter may cause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Symptoms can differ depending on the season and person: The timing of SAD symptoms can vary by months or weeks. As someone may begin to feel SAD symptoms in September, another person can feel well until after Christmas (E. Rosenthal, 2013). During the colder months of the year it is no surprise that gaining weight, oversleeping or having low energy occurs in 10 20 percent of people. These symptoms increase through the months of keeping warm in our houses and holidays with family. Sufferers may crave comfort foods such as pastas, breads and sugar which would lead to weight gain and negative body image. In the spring and summer months a person with SAD is more likely to have weight loss, insomnia or anxiety. Those symptoms bear resemblance to mania than depression. The symptoms for the seasons seem to be opposite of each other, and show that SAD is a depression to take seriously. Sometime the location of where a person is living can change how they are affected: The timing of the appearance of symptoms also depends on where a person lives (E. Rosenthal, 2013). People who live further from the equator are more likely to suffer from more severe symptoms. These symptoms include thoughts of suicide or death, low self esteem and loss of interest in daily activities. These sufferers will feel down for days at a time and may even turn to alcohol or drugs to cope. These symptoms should drive a person to want to see their doctor. • 3. The Worst Phone Call Of My Life On February 5th 2006 I received the worst phone call of my entire life. The day before was my eighteenth birthday in which two of my best friends help celebrate with food, pop, and games! On that night I invited my three closest friends, one of which never showed. Throughout the night my friends and I continually phoned our friend to try and figure out why he never showed up. After numerous attempts we decided he most likely drank too much beer, while his parents were known to be out of town, and just passed out forgetting about my birthday. The next morning I had a voicemail from my friends Mom asking me if he ever came over my house because he was no were to be found. I immediately phoned my friends mother and she sadly informed me that my friend was found in the woods unconscious after hitting a tree with his snowmobile. He was found at 6 am in the morning by his father in 20 degree weather. My friend was unconscious for almost 8 hours in the cold before being rushed to the University of Michigan Medical center. I have always been interested in computers my entire life, from the engineering aspect all the way to software development. The weeks following my friend s accident proved to shape my interest in computer science and artificial intelligence greatly. Frostbite to his fingers prompted doctors to remove all ten with just leaving his hands in place. Three separate brain surgeries occurred to remove multiple blood clots and an entire facial reconstruction occurred to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Exploring How Alfred Hitchcock Manipulates The Audience In Psycho Alfred Joseph Hitchcock is thought to be, by most, the greatest film director of all time. He was born in Leytonstone, London on13 August 1899. He directed many great films such as The Lodger, The Birds, Sabotage, Notorious, Rear Window, and of course one of his greatest achievements ever, Psycho in 1960. He directed the first British sound film Blackmail. Alfred Hitchcock once said, Audience reaction is more important than the content of the film . Throughout and before the playing of Psycho, Hitchcock manipulates the audience in many ways. The words that Alfred Hitchcock said that illustrates manipulation in Psycho the ... Alfred Hitchcock makes us infer that the mother was alive throughout the film. This manipulates the audience throughout the film. The audience thinks that the mother is alive, and therefore, she can potentially be the killer in the film. She is the killer in the film, yet is not the killer. Hitchcock also makes some scenes in the film sound so immense, that he is unable to describe it. As he describes something, he talks really fast, giving us an impression that it is a fast scene. He also does not finish the sentences. This makes the audience want to see what really happens in the film. It s difficult to describe the way…the twisting of the… it s too difficult to describe When describing some scenes in the film, he uses hand movements to show twisting . This makes us eager to see what happens. When Alfred Hitchcock reaches some parts of the set, he makes some faces and talks differently. This makes the audience infer that something important or something significant has happened there. This manipulates the audience because they know something is going to happen, but do not know exactly what. Music is also used to manipulate the audience during the trailer. • 5. The Doctrine Of Freedom Of Contract The particular focus of this essay is on how terms are implied. This is central because the courts intervene and impose implied terms when they believe that in addition to the terms the parties have expressly agreed on, other terms must be implied into the contract. Gillies argued that the courts have become more interventionist in protecting the rights of contracting parties thereby encroaching upon the notion of freedom of contract. The doctrine of freedom of contract is a prevailing philosophy which upholds the idea that parties to a contract should be at liberty to agree on their own terms without the interference of the courts or legislature. Implied terms can be viewed as a technique of construction or interpretation of contracts. It has been argued that the courts are interfering too much in their approach to determine and interpret the terms of a contract. The aim of this essay is to explore this argument further and in doing so consider whether freedom of contract is lost due to courts imposing implied terms. The essay will outline how the common law implies terms. The final part of the essay will examine whether Parliament, by means of a statute, or terms implied by custom restrict freedom in a contract. An overall conclusion on the issue will be reached. On the one hand it is evident that terms implied at common law can be implied in law or implied in fact . Terms implied as a matter of fact are said to give effect to unexpressed intentions of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Essay on Magic and Superstition in the Middle Ages Superstitions have influenced the lives of human beings perhaps since the beginning of mankind. For millennia, people have clung to beliefs and practices surrounding preternatural activities. Even after science has produced evidence to explain what was once considered supernatural, the superstitious traditions have continued. During the Middle Ages, many new superstitious rituals were developed and some can still be seen in use today. However, the trivial superstitious rituals of today, such as hanging a horse shoe on a door or knocking on wood to bring good fortune, did not begin so simply. Superstition, as defined by the Oxford dictionary is, excessively credulous belief in and reverence for the supernatural. In no other time was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Here, the belief shifted from searching for a higher spirituality to having found that elevation in the Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ. This alteration in the philosophical outlook of the people brought about a whole new aspect of the supernatural. Now that there was a great power to believe in, there were sets of rules introduced to ensure pure worship of the new found Incarnate Word. A few centuries later, the renowned Roman Statesman Cassiodorus (485 585AD) would quote the meaning of philosophy in a way that would help characterize the culture of Christendom, which would therefore determine the way for superstitions to transpire throughout the Middle Ages. Cassiodorus said, Philosophy is to be assimilated to God insofar as this is possible for a human being (McGinn 33). Following this impactful clarification, many changes occurred in Christian spirituality. Ancient Christianity was evolving into a new Medieval Christianity . With those changes came the birth of many interesting, sometimes bizarre, superstitions which would affect the lives of many and even contribute to the modification of other religions. Around 1141AD, Hugh of Saint Victor would claim that Magic was not accepted as a part of philosophy, but stands with a false claim outside it ( Chronology of Modern Christianity: Timeline of Witches and Witchcraft ). Magic, evidently, had its own metaphysical classification with its own set ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Analysis Of Ellen Degeneres s The Puppy Episode Ellen DeGeneres got almost destroyed after her coming out to the public during her career peak. In 1994, DeGeneres reached her height of popularity as an actress with her self titled television sitcom, Ellen, which was originally titled These Friends of Mine. This ABC show was popular in its first few seasons due to DeGeneres s style of observational humor. Following DeGeneres came out as a lesbian on The Oprah Winfrey Show in February 1997, her character in Ellen became the first lead in sitcom history to openly acknowledge her homosexuality on air. The coming out episode, titled The Puppy Episode , was one of the highest rated episode of any show on the network during that time ( Ellen DeGeneres Biography ). However, the show faces stronger criticism and was forced to end. An ABC affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama, refused to air the landmark episode. Fearing controversy, some of the show s sponsors, Daimler Chrysler among them, withdrew advertisements ( Ellen DeGeneres Biography ). Even though ABC made no comment other than to confirm the cancellation officially, It was believed that The Walt Disney Company, ABC s parent owner, had become uncomfortable with the subject matter depicted on the show now that DeGeneres character was openly gay (Carter). Despite a supportive audience, an Emmy Award for the coming out episode and the show s groundbreaking place in television history, Ellen was canceled in 1998. The Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia meet monthly to determine the cash rate for the following month, taking into account various economic conditions, both globally and domestically. Since August 2013, the cash rate in Australia has been at a record low, of 2.5 per cent (Reserve Bank of Australia, 2013). The three factors which will be considered in determining the cash rate for October 2014 are; the housing market boom , the falling value of the Australian dollar and iron ore prices trading at an all time low. Based on these three factors, on the 4th of October, the cash rate should be kept at the current rate of 2.5 per cent. With the latest inflation result showing inflation to be around the mid band target of the 2 3% target, no immediate cash rate decisions need to be made to control inflation. The cash rate is closely related to the monetary policy. As the inflation target helps the RBA achieve its three objectives of monetary policy, and the cash rate ultimately influences the level of inflation in the economy, the cash rate and monetary policy can be seen to be closely related. This is the when people pray for help from the saints who have passed on. They also pray that those who have died without becoming saints will become saints. Fancy decorations, food, and fun are all joined together to help celebrate this day in Guatemala. The home is one of the places that is beautifully decorated. An alter is set up with pictures of their loved ones, candles, flowers, bread, fruit, atole and aguardiente. Atole is a drink that is made of corn flour and water; while aguardiente is liquor made from sugar cane. The people continue their rituals and before dawn they place flowers above the doors of their home to welcome the spirits of their deceased loved ones.2 This adds to the beautiful decor of the home. Next, comes the decorations at the grave side. People clean the tomb stones, paint them, and then decorate them with many colorful flowers. Flowers like lilies, chrysanthemums, and flor de muerto (a strong marigold) are used to decorate.3 At the tops of the graves are placed wax paper wreaths.4 The cemeteries on this day turn into a massive color display. In order to profit from the sort of study he is undertaking, one must already have been brought up in good habits ( Traditional Virtues and The Skeptic .) This means the group of people with potential to have virtue and happiness is limited. It is limited to the people who come from a family with good ethics. Wade was a landmark decision for United States history, and it still remains very controversial today. The Court ruled that the right to privacy applied to a woman s choice to have an abortion, therefore legalizing the action. Abortion is officially defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Today there are two groups continuing this battle, pro life and pro choice . People who define themselves as pro life believe that abortion is unethical and insist that the Roe v. Wade decision be overturned. On the other side of the battle, pro choicers fight to get even more liberation for women. Pro choice Argument The main argument of pro choicers is that women should be responsible for anything involving their own body, because no one else is living her life, and...she will have to live with [her] decision [to have an abortion] (Pollitt 12). The government isn t affected by a woman having an abortion, so they shouldn t be involved in the decision. Although they re pleased that abortion is legal in the United States, present day supporters are still pushing for modifications to the 1973 Supreme Court ruling: Roe v. I Chose Roses And Birds Number 5 By Kiki Smith Essay I chose Roses and Birds Number 5 by Kiki Smith as my western piece and for my non western piece I chose a Spanish Colonial piece called Ornaments. I was originally drawn to Roses and Birds Number 5 because of the thin lines, the flowers, and how its fragility added an aura of femininity. Upon closer inspection of the art, I appreciated the artist s use of Nepalese paper as her canvas. Unlike Kiki Smith s piece, I wasn t immediately drawn to Ornaments. The metal, while shiny, looked cold and hard. The piece is a floral arrangement, but looking at it I couldn t envision the soft petals of flowers. Once I put aside my personal feelings and started observing the piece from the stand point of my Art Appreciation class, I can see the effort and elements the artist must have used. That is why I chose it as my contrast for this paper. In this paper, I will attempt to compare and contrast a western and non western piece of art using the visual elements and the design principles I ve learned this semester. I will also explain why I believe the western artist was influenced by non western art and give a brief description of the artist and the culture that inspired them. Kiki Smith was born in Nuremberg, Germany in 1954. Her father was an American artist who specialized in sculptor. The Spanish wanted to invade England was mainly to turn England back into a catholic country, and to get Queen Elizabeth of the throne and to get a queen who was for the catholic monarch on the throne. However there are many other reasons: Firstly Philip II couldn?t accept that was not the king of England, as he was married to Queen Mary I, who was the Queen before Elizabeth. During the sail up to England the Armada were told to keep a crescent formation no matter what happened this was the golden rule. The idea of this was so if an English ship was to come in from behind they could scoop it up like a net. The formation was that the stronger ships would go at the front so they could easily surround any English ships that threatened the centre. This was the plan, however it did not all go that way! Lord Howard, commander of the English fleet, used some of the lighter and faster English ships to ?pick off? some of the stragglers (ones that were lagging behind) whilst they were sailing up the English channel. Unfortunately this did not really affect the crescent shape. Next came arguably one of the smartest moves in the battle, on 7th August Sir Francis Drake sent out a number of old ships that had been set on fire, the Spanish were petrified, they were not sure if the Ships had explosives on it, if they did so did the Spanish ships and the chances of them setting on fire was very high. • 21. American Dream Argumentative Essay In 1937, James Truslow Adams coined the term American Dream in his book The Epic of America. Adams stated the American Dream was a land of opportunity for everyone. In this utopia, every man and woman is able to reach their highest potential in employment, housing, and family regardless of birth or position, because they worked hard and earned it ( What is The American Dream? ). Ever since 1937, Americans have had this idea in their head of finally achieving the American Dream with their spouse, house, white picket fence, 2.5 kids, and movement up the socioeconomic ladder. It is what people whisper at night as they leave their war torn streets for a better life. Yet in the past few years, that dream has begun to crumble. I believe Millennials are waking up to see that this dream utopia is flawed. Homeownership is a double edged sword. It is the American Dream to one day own a house. Compared to their predecessors, Millennials are seeing the advantages and disadvantages of homeownership at an earlier age. These early generations believed owning a house was the cherry on top to being an all around American and achieving the American Dream . As a cynical generation who grew up with information at our fingertips and the world falling around us, millennials see homeownership differently. The cautious and conservative approach to home buying displayed by millennials is driven by the fact their outlook on life was shaped by a number of bad things when they were young the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, the 2008 financial crisis, the housing bust with mass foreclosures and a weak recovery that has so far provided incomes below that of prior generations (Stowe England, 36). We learned that the world was not fair and that it is time to redefine the American Dream to reflect our current economic society. Owning a house comes with various responsibilities, many of which Millennials cannot absolve. Firstly, homeowners set down roots by owning a house. Previous generations knew that once they bought this house they would live there until the end of their days. These are some highly sophisticated attacks which are very difficult to detect unless you have a sound cybersecurity measures put in place to prevent them to target your system. APTs are major threat in case of DBR because some vendors have informed management about such activities but they are not sure if it is a real threat nor do not have any mechanism to counter such threats. Attacks by Malicious softwares (Malwares, Phishing): All the workstations of DBR uses a local virus scanner. Viruses come in various forms like Malwares, Worms, Trojans etc. and an inefficient virus protector is as worse as not having any protection at all. One good thing about DBR is that they us VPN to transfer information across the network but security threats can still occur if the individual workstations are not protected properly. The objective of the study was to test three hypotheses relating to competition within trees, maintenance along with regeneration of sugar maple and beech within Warren Woods, located in Michigan, IL. The first evaluated whether or not highly despotic forms of lottery completion was present, in which a few trees ever achieve canopy. Second, in response to competition, canopy trees were evaluated in terms of being uniformly or randomly distributed within their unique environment. Third, evidence of tradeoffs as both types of trees make their way up to a canopy was assessed. From the plots established and analyzing through density and frequency, students examined that sugar maple was more abundant, viewed in large fractions among the sub canopy classes. Beech may have had a lower frequency, yet it had a higher density in Warren Woods. Evidence suggested that there was a lottery competition taking place in the forest, as seen by the number of seedlings being higher than saplings, which are greater than sub canopies, which are greater than canopies. The evaluation of the understory environment determined that a mechanism of coexistence, between both species, was evident since the number of canopies was higher than that of sub canopies. Since 1974, nearly 2,600 spousal homicides have been recorded in Canada (Bunge, 2002). Of these homicides, more than three quarters have been against women. Although through feminism and the women s liberation movement, there has been a slight improvement in the incidences of violence against women, there has also been a drastic change in the perception of the issue by society. After reviewing the most recent literature on violence against women and victimization through intimate partners, it has become prevalent that there are now two crucial stances that are taken. Secondly, one of the general concepts behind the literature examined would be the idea that intimate partner violence is now going through a process of normalization. For instance, popular women s magazines frame domestic violence in a way that normalizes the victims s responsibility while ignoring the role of the abuser and society (Berns, 2001). Individuals construct their own conceptions of what is normal and acceptable. These conceptions, what Cicourel (1968) calls background expectancies govern all social interaction (Berns, 2001). With the norms that society creates being the main control of interaction amongst society, it is clear that by allowing the perspective of intimate partner violence as normal will create unawareness about the issue and may perpetuate further issues. Women who have respect and power outside the home through community activities, including participation in microcredit schemes, are less likely to be abused than those who do not (Jewkes, 2002). ... This assignment will discuss Cyrus the Great s personal life as well as describe his actions that have founded the basic principles and strategies that contributed to the success of the Persian Empire. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Herodotus wrote the most about Cyrus, and his birth story written by him is the one most accepted, on the other hand this birth story could also be called a folk story as it mentions Cyrus as having superhuman qualities. According to Herodotus, Astyages, who was the king of the Median Empire, gave his daughter to an ally in Persis named Cambyses. While his daughter was pregnant, Astyages dreamt of the baby overthrowing him and destroying his success when it grew older. Astyages then ordered his grandson to be killed, but that order was not carried out as his chief advisor gave the baby to a Shepard. 10 years later, Astyages was unexpectedly reunited with his grandson when he went to discover what he believed to be a random child with superhuman qualities. Astyages was convinced by his chief advisor to let Cyrus live. Another birth story is written by Ctesias (another Greek historian), who claimed that Cyrus was not royal. Instead, he was born into a nomad tribe from Mard. His mother (Argste) dreamt of her unborn son becoming a great king. Cyrus was born and grew up as a servant of Astyages, and Astyages sent Cyrus to supress a revolt; however he did not obey the orders and he participated in the revolt against Astyages, which resulted in him losing his throne and Cyrus gaining it. • 29. Alexander the Second and the Title Tsar Liberator Essay Alexander the Second and the Title Tsar Liberator In the 19th Century, Russia had no zemstva, very little education, industry and railway building, a biased judicial system and very few freed peasants. Czar Alexander II, who succeeded Nicolas I in 1855, went some ways to remedying these deficiencies through a series of reforms. Alexander II became the great modernizer of Russia, walking a delicate line between preserving Russia s Slavic identity and enabling its people to benefit from Western advancements. For this reason he was known to some as the Czar Liberator . However, indeed he was a liberator in name only. Alexander II initiated substantial reforms in education, the government, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the educational reform, the Czar adopted a more liberal education. Censorship was relaxed, the universities were given freedom and independence, and more Western ideas were introduced to scholars and students. People were more open minded and became to demand more under these liberal reforms. Though Czar Alexander II returned to reactionary rule when an attempt was made to assassinate him in the 1860s, he did turn once more to reform in 1880. He made plans to set up a General Commission which would include representatives from the Zemstva. This would not be a parliament but would be a consultative voice when the Czar required it. But this was an attempt towards a parliamentary government. Superficially, Czar Alexander II seemed to be so liberate from his series of reform. Yet, notwithstanding these measures, it would be wrong, as is sometimes done, to describe Alexander II as a liberal. He was in fact a firm upholder of autocratic principles, sincerely convinced both of his duty to maintain the God given autocratic power he had inherited and of Russia s unreadiness for constitutional or representative government. For the emancipation of serfs, it was actually essential more than out of the Czar s willingness. The bulk of the Russian population, about 80%, were the peasants and serfs. Alexander II recognised that emancipation was vital. Freed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

No two cultures are exactly alike they all differ from one another, for example the Nacirema present such an unusual aspect that it seems desirable to describe them as an example of the extremes to which human behavior can go. • 31. Christian Morality Has Become A Tale Of Shame According to Nietzsche genealogy of Christian morality has become a tale of shame wherein the weak promote the propagation of a lie and foster a mistaken explanation for suffering. By overlooking the will to power that occurs naturally in all the people, Christianity cages, and dulls the will preventing it from expressing itself. This in turn creates problems by removing the individual s ability to master their own life turning them into puppets under the guidance of the government. From the Christian perspective, nihilistic views empower the people giving them hope and a belief in internal strength. From Nietzsche s view point Christianity and its by product democracy in fact remove any sense of power or self from the realm of the weak. There is no room for advancement until death. Nietzsche points to alternative sources of suffering and punishment noting a sadistic expression of will to power that in some ways is reminiscent of sociopathic tendencies. The best human life uses will to power as a motivator. The weak and the strong seek to fulfill their desires and the expression as such can be varied. It can be the source of punishment as expressed in the past and modernity. According to Nietzsche, man should murder and taunt to fulfill his needs. This all became restricted with the advent of modern society creating only a space for internal suffering and anger. In moments of public suffering, will to power is expressed but is still primarily constrained by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The present study showed formulation of ICPNP using electrostatic interaction in between SA, a negatively charged polymer and GCS, a positively charged copolymer 4. This ICPNP has ability to self assemble in aqueous phase due to hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts present in GCS copolymer 4. The zeta potential of nanoparticle was negative that represents SA present in outer surface of polymeric nanoparticle. This nanoparticle composed of SA and GCS copolymer has four distinct function: i) SA on outer surface provides stability to formulation and sustained release of drug; ii) the GCS part of ICPNP restricts conversion of AmB molecular forms from monomeric to multimeric thus reduces toxicity of the AmB; iii) the ICPNP provides desired localization and biodistribution of AmB in tissues; iv) the SA in outer surface of ICPNP have ability to induce various proinflamatory cytokines and chemokines through macrophage activation via NF kappaB pathway (Saswat, et al.2104). The self assembled ICPNP gained significant attention from various researchers as particulate drug delivery system for its ability to encapsulate high drug payload and deliver at target sites 21. There are many reports about PIC nanoparticles but in this study we have prepared self assembled copolymer based ICPNP. The GC was first conjugate with stearic acid in molar ratio of 4:1 to form GCS copolymer 4 that has positive zeta potential measured by zeta sizer on its surface that was referred as cationic polymer. Along with the EPA, the Regional Optimization Master Plan (ROMP) is also involved in this program. ROMP is an important environmental factor because it is working towards better water quality, clarity, and an enhanced environment for wildlife. It has done this by upgrading the two main wastewater treatment plants that release to the Lower Santa Cruz River (Pima County Arizona, 2017c). ROMP has been successful with treating the wastewater and has been a very important contribute to making this water better for the environment and the community. It did not run any candidates in the 2004 federal election but Peter Wong continued to represent Unity in the NSW Parliament, until the expiry of his term in March 2007. In October 2000, Hanson expelled Oldfield from the party. His expulsion created even more instability in a party which was constantly embroiled in scandal and internal strife. Oldfield engineered a split within the party, creating One Nation NSW, in 2001. The new party took advantage of electoral party registration laws to register itself as a political party under the One Nation name with the NSW electoral commission, and achieved registration in April 2002. This meant that the original One Nation party was unable to gain registration for NSW elections. • 36. The Internet and Academic Dishonesty Term paper mills are not a new development, and neither is dishonesty. However, the rise of the internet into an information hivemind has made commiting academic dishonesty easier, faster, and more clandestine than ever. In the case of higher education, the number of paper mills is rising at an alarming rate. [] Most paper services fall under one of two categories: editing sites and paper mills. Editin sites seem harmless from an academic standpoint: students can have their papers proofread at any time, with quick turnovers in the case of looming deadlines. The students write their own papers and the editors merely mark areas that need improvement and give general guidelines for grammar and stylistic changes. Of course, most people would be unwilling to pay $6.95[1] for proofreading. It is more likely that these sites heavily alter the essays they receive for editing , making them more of a co writer of the paper rather than just a reader. Paper mills are the more common online paper service: they usually keep many essays in stock with small excerpts available on their website. Buying a paper from these websites is not unethical, and there are cases where using another student s work to find primary sources and integrate such essay in one s own would be beneficial. In fact, most paper mill websites usually include a disclaimer stating that all papers they sell must be used as a reference. • 37. Rust Vs Wild Fly Phenotypic expression of the mutation is isolated to the eyes of adult flies, with no differences observed in developmental stages. The feature characteristic is eye color: mutant adults express a darker, reddish brown color in contrast to the wild type red eye. Additionally, no pseudopupil is observed in mutants. However this may be due to the darker eye color obscuring visibility of a pseudopupil. Newly eclosed flies express a lighter mutant phenotype than older flies. The mutation is nicknamed Rust due to the similarities between iron oxide, a reddish brown compound that forms and darkens after exposure to oxygen, and the mutant eye color following eclosion. Male and female mutant flies show no differences in phenotype aside from sexual dimorphism. Figure 1 shows the differences between Rust and wild type flies in eye color and pseudopupil observed. ... Remedying a deflated tire can be a chore, but when you introduce an air compressor to the situation it becomes a whole lot easier. What Is An Air Compressor? An air compressor is a device which is used to compress and store air. When the time comes to release the air into another object, the gas is pushed into its new home with immense force, which is what makes air compressors so useful when it comes to inflating a car tire in a timely manner.
