What is PPST?
• It sets clear expectations of teachers.
• It provides a framework of uniform measures to
assess teacher performance.
• It is a public statement of professional
accountability.
• It has four career stages: Beginning, Proficient,
Highly Proficient, and Distinguished.
• It has seven Domains, 37 Strands, and 37
indicators for each career stage.

PPST is not part of the RPMS. PPST is a
stand-alone document.
Same way, RPMS is not part of the PPST. It
is a pre-existing system requirement from the
Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development What is PPST? • It sets clear expectations of teachers. • It provides a framework of uniform measures to assess teacher performance. • It is a public statement of professional accountability. • It has four career stages: Beginning, Proficient, Highly Proficient, and Distinguished. • It has seven Domains, 37 Strands, and 37 indicators for each career stage.

  • 8. Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development Is PPST part of RPMS? Or is RPMS part of the PPST? PPST is not part of the RPMS. PPST is a stand-alone document. Same way, RPMS is not part of the PPST. It is a pre-existing system requirement from the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

  • 14. Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development Parts of the RPMS Tools In the RPMS Tools, teachers target twelve (12) objectives to realize the five (5) KRAs. These are general outputs or outcomes. In the context of the RPMS Tools, the KRAs capture the Domains of the PPST. Key Result Areas 1 Objectives 2 These objectives are the indicators of the PPST.

Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development 4 They provide descriptions of quality and quantity given five performance levels: 5-Outstanding, 4-Very Satisfactory, 3-Satisfactory, 2-Unsatisfactory, and 1-Poor. Performance Indicators Means of Verification (MOV) It is a list of documents that can show teachers’ attainment of objectives. 3 Parts of the RPMS Tools
  • 16. Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development In summary: The PPST is the core document being used by DepEd to anchor its systems and processes. It is not solely for the RPMS. RPMS is just a portion, but it is an important part to how the PPST could link all other systems.
