• Most people feel safe at their house because they feel protected inside
this places.
• On 9/11/2001 a terrorist attack happened in the U.S when the terrorist
group name Al-Qaeda forced a plane to crash with the World Trade
Center.
• During the attacks of 9/11 people felt in danger and worried when the
event happened and shortly after they felt unsecure and sad
• The government reacted to the 9/11 attack by passing the Patriot Act that
increased the security on the U.S they also declare war to the terrorist,
• USA was fighting a war with the terrorist group of Al-Qaeda that was
located in Afghanistan and Iraq

4. CONTINUATION
• The U.S attacked Afghanistan because they wanted to stop and eradicate the
terrorist groups that were in this country because the president of
Afghanistan did not want to hand over Osama Bin Laden and expel Al-Qaeda
members.
• The U.S attacked Iraq to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end
Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people.
• Some people think that terrorist wear turbants, have long bear and are
Muslims but know days a terrorist may look like a normal person and it does
not need to be a Muslim.
• The most recent act of terrorism in the US prior to the 9/11 It was the
Oklahoma bombing, was a domestic terrorist bomb attack on the Alfred P.
Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.

5. THE PATRIOTIC ACT
 was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October
26, 2001.
 Is a ten-letter acronym (USA PATRIOT) that stands for Uniting
(and) Strengthening America (by) Providing Appropriate Tools
Required (to) Intercept (and) Obstruct Terrorism
 The act authorize the indefinite detentions of immigrants; the
permission given law enforcement officers to search a home or
business without the owner’s or the occupant’s consent or
knowledge; the expanded use of National Security Letters, which
allows the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to search
telephone, e-mail, and financial records without a court order; and
the expanded access of law enforcement agencies to business
records, including library and financial records.

6. CONCLUSION
 We think that the Patriotic Act gives the citizens of the U.S
more security but takes away some of their liberty
 Benjamin Franklin said “They who can give up essential liberty
to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor
safety.”
 We also conclude that now days a terrorist can look like
anybody so it is more hard to detect one
