To help me I used call sheets to arrange when and where my staff or my actors where needed.
Finance
In my project I used BECTU to gather information about the pay rates for the different members
of my crew. With this I was able to plan my budget around the costs.
Creative Processes
In the pre-production phase, I used auditioning to get actors for my project.
Management of resources both human and physical
Logistics
Call sheets, scripts and location recces were used to plan out the schedules for my actors and
staff, through this I was able to plan out the management of props, costumes, equipment and
makeup for the project.
Finance
I was able to cut down on any costs with my actors, staff, props, costumes, equipment and any
makeup. To do this I looked through stores and websites that offered discounts to film projects.
I than looked through job agencies for people looking for acting jobs.
Creative processes
To prevent actors or staff from turning up on set when they are not needed, I created schedules
that told them when and where they were needed.
I used the schedules to combine filming sessions so that I could collect all the footage with that
actor in one go.
Managing time

I made production schedules to avoid paying for actors and members of staff when they are not
needed for that filming session.
The time schedule tells the actors and staff when they are needed and where they need to go.

The time plan reduced the cost towards the budget, freeing up money for any emergencies or
last-minute additions.

The creative process that I used was time plans, production schedules and call sheets.
Being Professional
Logistics
I professionally made my budgets, scripts, storyboards and any other document that I needed
for my film project.
When I finished looking for actors I had them sigh the contributors release form and I informed
them of their roles and what they would be doing. After this I handed them a copy of the script
with their lines highlighted.
Finance
When I was creating the budgets, I did research online about the pay rates for my staff and the
rates on the different pieces of equipment needed for my project.
I then used a booking form to book out the equipment when I needed it.
Creative Processes
I created storyboards, diagrams, scripts and I made schedules for my staff and actors.

I ensured that progress would be sustained with schedules and plans.

I used schedules and whenever I made a change I updated both the storyboard and the script
with the changes made.
Managing risk

At the locations where I planned on filming in, I created risk assessments that identified all the
risks in that location and methods of preventing them.
To inform all my actors and crew about the risks, I made them read the risk assessment.

3. Creative processes
I used risk assessments on all the locations where the project was going to take place.
I also used the BBC health and safety sheets to list off all the possible hazards in the location.
Managing Crisis

The crisis I had to deal with was that my actors weren't showing up, so I replaced them with
other actors.

The creative processes that I used was that I made schedules that were convenient to my
actors and when they didn’t show up I replaced them.
Keeping documentation up to date and relevant

I made lists of the different documentation needed and then I kept track of what was needed.

I made sure that my budget and purchases are documented.

I made lists, tables, and bullet point lists on what I had planned and what was left for me to do.
I created storyboards for my project and then any changes made on set were added to the
storyboard.

In the project I found that sometimes there could be too much paper work causing you to lose
some.

4. I found that on the internet, there were different pay rates for staff and equipment, with
equipment the prices varied based on the company. This led to the budget changing whenever I
found equipment at cheaper prices.
Creative processes
Some of the problems I had was that auditioning could take time reducing the total project time,
when my actors didn’t turn up I had to replace them with actors who did turn up.
Ways you could be better in future productions
Logistics
In my next production, I could do better with keeping all the different documentation I needed in
order and by making extra copies, adding the names of the different equipment onto the
booking forms.
Finance
I could improve my next project by having more props, costumes to add more content and any
improvements to the budget.
Creative Processes
The creative processes I used were story boards and I could improve my next project by adding
in more scenes which will provide more content.
