Project Management Task
What Went Well
Logistics Finance Creative Processes
Managing People
Managingpeople while doingthe
production was done by the use of call
sheets which meant that everyone
already knew where they had to be and
the time they had to be there for.
Because I had good management of people,
the production was ableto go smoothly and
meant that I didn’t need people any longer
than the set time.
I made sure that I managed the people as
effectively as possible.I did this by makingcall
sheets which showed content such as dates,
times and locations.
Management of
Resources (both human
and
physical)
I managed all theresources by usinga
day rate so I could be sureof the total
cost. In doing this,I would be ableto see
how longand how much equipment
would cost.
By me usingcall sheets and booking sheets I
decreased the amount of time I needed with
both the actors as well as the equipment
because itwas already completed before the
filmingwas started. This meant I didn’t need
to pay for any extra things such as actors.
Call sheets and booking forms were signed for
the use of equipment. This is how I managed
resources duringpre-production.
Managing Time
I managed my time by making sureeach
shot was already planned out ahead of
time. Also making surethe shot was
accurateto the storyboard scene.
Because I planned time efficiently,I reduced
the time I needed for actors and equipment,
meaning I didn’t have to pay as much, saving
more money.
I made production schedules to prepare and
plan every day of the filming.I also included the
times it would take to set up equipment. I had
also used the scripts and storyboardsI madeto
plan out the times it would take to filmevery
scene.
Being Professional
I planned the scheduleand was positive
that all equipment was ready to start
filming.I also madesure that all of the
required documents where correctly
filled in,which includes,call sheets,
booking forms and risk assessments.
I shaved off a lot of time by planningand
makingsure that all documents were
correctly filled out, meaning that I saved
money and didn’t need any extra time.
I made sure that all the documents such as call
sheets and bookingforms were all filled out
right. I also made surethat both the crew and
the castwere availableduringthe times I
needed them.
Ensuring Progress is
Sustained
Progress was always beingmade during
this time becauseI had made a schedule
of when tasks had to be completed.
Such as filmingand getting equipment
set up in the rightpositions.I had kept
note of what was done on every day.
I used a scheduleto ensure that the day was
planned out ahead of time.

Managing Risk
Managing Crisis
I was ableto manage crisis’by makinga
good plan of the production which
meant that
I managed to lessen the budget by usingcall
sheets and budget plans efficiently.This
made production finish quicker.
I made risk assessments to try and lower the
probability of any injuries or damages.
Keeping Documentation
up-to-date and relevant
I kept the documents up to date. I did
this by keeping track of all things
production related such as all of the
shots.
The budget was not affected by this as I was
not required to use more time to do stuff
such as fillingoutforms.
The plan of production was used to note all
progress made of the production.

What Could be Improved
Logistics Finance Creative Processes
Summary of any problems
with project management
Project management was affected by a
few things such as the time it took to set
up the equipment, lightingin certain
places and some actors were slightly
delayed by other things.
Financewas not affected, as the overall
production was short.
This could be improved by addingmore detail
to the storyboards as well as thescript
Ways you could be better
in future productions
I would improve by givingequipment set
up more time whilesacrificingtimeon
other things such as props.I would also
try and have lightingsetup more quickly
as this is a factor that increased the
overall time of production.
The financewould not need much
improvement as itdidn’t exceed the expected
amount. However, money could be saved by
hiringequipment for less days if it isn't
needed.
I would add more detail to the storyboards by
addingarrows to show the direction the
camera would pan and also arrows to show
which way the actor will move in the shot.
I made a risk assessmentinan
attemptto lowerthe chance of
injuriesonset.
