2. Cover Page
A block of purple text is here which tells you what you can find
in the magazine itself and on what pages. The colour has come
from the outline of the uniform, but it makes it stand out which
is ambiguous because it makes the text stand out, but also the
students.
A colour scheme of pink and white is used. These old colours
make the magazine stand out to someone who would pick this
up. Also, the colour pink implies that the school is for girls which
is backed up with the picture of the girl as well.
The largest text size is used in the words 'Exam choices'. it
does not stick to the colour scheme and is a cream colour. This
makes it quite bold compared to the other colours which makes
it stand out because the reader would look at this straight.
A picture of a student in their uniform shows to the audience
how smart the student looks. The other colours have been
specially chosen around the grey and purple uniform. These to
colour shows a tough and worn-out look compared to the other
colours of the page.
3. Content Page
Masthead: Instead of using a traditional title, the school's name has
been used as the masthead. The reason behind the could have been
that the developers of the magazine aimed to make the title
appealing and decent for the audiences, therefore allowing it to
appear different than the rest of the cover page, aiming at greater
visibility.
Another interesting fact of the font is that the colour theme used in
coherence with the text aligns with the colour scheme of the school's
logo, helping to reinstate the fact that the magazine is linked to a
school (creating alignment). The intended target youth and late
teens, which could be a target audience for the school.
Different sizing for different content technique is visible, enabling the
reader to differentiate between the varying contents. E.g.: Typing
headings in the largest font, with the subheadings appearing smaller,
and the body in the smallest font.
Half of the magazine consists of pictures and texts therefore; it is
more appealing to the students at the school. because the pictures
would catch the student's attention and the short paragraphs will
make it easy for the students to read it.
