Joe s Descriptive Writing
Have you ever tried a slice of real, famous New York pizza? It s nearly impossible to find that quality
outside of NY, especially down here in the South. However, I had heard of this place right off
Issaqueena Trail in Clemson that claimed to take you to New York City with one bite. After visiting
Joe s, I realized they weren t lying! Joe s New York Pizza sets the bar high for other pizza places due
to its high food quality, prompt service, and overall welcoming environment. The sun hung low in the
sky as I walked up to the entrance to Joe s. When the front door opened, scents of roasted garlic,
melted cheese, and spices and a smile greeted me. The place was spotless with glimmering floors, and
the glass looked like you could put your hand through it. There was no mistaking that this was a
Clemson oriented shop; orange and purple tables, booths, chairs, and walls filled the building. On the
main wall, there was a mural stretching to both ends depicting a roaring tiger, Death Valley post win,
and a plethora of Clemson sports. Towards the back of the dining room, there was an open kitchen,
guarded by two stainless steel shelves. I could see the industrial oven through the window, as they
pulled out hot, freshly baked pizzas, cut them, and sent them on. Sounds of clanking plates, a ... Show

place I have ever stepped foot in. Their menu had an eclectic group of choices, the place was

without a shadow of a doubt. Not only is the food excellent quality, but the first rate staff and the
convivial atmosphere created really sets them apart from other restaurants in the area. I will be

Earthquake In California
California is suspected of experiencing a killer quake, one that reaches the magnitude of 7.5.
However, it is impossible to predict an earthquake. The Puente Hills Fault is one of the most
dangerous sleeping monsters (if it were to) create an earthquake. It is located in the Los Angeles basin,
where it can cause approximately 45 seconds of rippling instead of just 7 seconds because it is on
softer ground, cause thousands of deaths, and potentially destroy the city of Los Angeles. The first big
one that hit California was in San Francisco by the San Andreas Fault. This earthquake gave
recognition to the dangers of the tectonic plates right beneath us. In Northridge, a 6.4 earthquake
occurred that caused the I 5 and route 14 highway to

The Reasons For The European Age Of Exploration
The European Age of Exploration, a period from the early 15th century continuing into the 17th
century, brought about expansion, technology, and nation building with explorer ships traveling the
seas in a search for a new trading routes and new land. There was a multitude of motivations for the
European nations want to fund explorers who desired to take on the challenges of exploration. Though
the motives for exploration were different, in many ways they were the same. The rulers and leaders
of the European nations had much the same main motivations driving the push for exploration. The
driving motivations of European exploration were the acquiring of wealth, the want for glory, the
search for new and ease of trade routes, the need of natural resources, and the spreading of religion.
Competition between the Portuguese and the Spanish motivated both nations to seek colonization of
the New World quickly and aggressively. Prince Henry the Navigator spearheaded Portugal s
exploration of Africa and the Atlantic in the 1400s [Saylor]. Portuguese sailors successfully navigated
an eastward route to West Africa, where they established a trading foothold. Portugal then spread its
empire down the western coast of Africa to the Congo, along the western coast of India, and
eventually to Brazil and the Atlantic islands. While the Portuguese did not rule over a large mass of
multiple colonies, their strategic holdings of islands and coastal ports gave them almost unrivaled

The Importance Of Life On Earth
Earth is living and breathing planet, it takes a lot of energy to keep the Earth health, to keep all its
inhabitants functioning. Earth is a special planet because it is the only know planet that can allow life
to thrive. Earth receive a tremendous amount of energy from the Sun, solar energy is necessary for life
on Earth. A planet filled with life needs water, it is one of the essential pieces for all humans, animals,
and plants. Earth is cover primarily by water, a unique substance that keeps life going. Water is unique
in many ways, water is the only liquid found at Earth s surface in large quantities...is readily converted
from one state of matter to another (solid, liquid, gas), and water s solid phase, ice, is less dense than
liquid water (Lutgens 90, 2016). All these unique attributes of water make life on earth easy for all its
inhabitants. On a warm day, a cold drink of water with ice can be refreshing, just like a dip in a cold
late, the same can be said for a warm cup of tea in the middle of the winter. Water moves through
Earth; the process of waters movement is explained by the hydrologic cycle. The hydrologic cycle is
the continuous exchange of water among the oceans, the atmosphere, and the continents. The
hydrologic cycle has several essential parts, evaporation, transportation, and precipitation.
Evaporation is the action of water moving into the atmosphere where it condenses and forms clouds,
moisture is then transported in the atmosphere all over earth

Analysis Of Nicolo Machiavelli s The Prince
Nicoló Machiavelli s The Prince highlights important aspects of successful leadership and power. The
representations of gender and power in this text help to display the principles and guidelines that
would make a leader successful in Machiavelli s eyes. Throughout The Prince, Machiavelli implies
that an individual with good morals will not obtain power, but rather that an individual who obtains
power is assumed as morally upright by the people. One may wonder how a man whose reputation
was a worshipper of the devil can have a profound impact on the individuals who live in this current
generation; in this text, Machiavelli gives readers his advice on how to rise to power using history as
evidence. Although Machiavelli s The Prince was written in the 1500s, his work is still being read,
praised and applied to this day, which suggests that his principles really are applicable to anyone.
Machiavelli s advice on power emphasizes that power is a game of deception, however an individual
must master themselves before they can deceive. Through analyzing Machiavelli s advice on power,
one can see how the text contains nuances about power concepts which can aid individuals to attain
power regardless of their gender. Machiavelli values the concept of gratitude because it illustrates that
individuals must first give to receive, a vital concept for increasing one s power. Machiavelli
emphasizes that individuals must offer what they value highly in life to win favor with a prince,

Proposed Bill Legislation For A Reform Of The Current...
PART A
The Succession (Scotland) Bill passed stage 3 of the parliamentary process on 29 January 2016 and
will be brought into force at a future date. Critically evaluate the extent to which the provisions in the
bill relating to survivorship and forfeiture represent an improvement to the current legal position.
The Succession (Scotland) Bill is currently in the process of being processed in order to alter the
current position of Statute in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 and also Trusts (Scotland) Act 1921.
The alterations being made are currently disputed as to whether they will create improvements for the
functionality of the law of trusts and successions or that they will cause more problems for the courts
in passing judgements. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Bill introduces a very drastic change to the aforementioned provisions in Section 31 as it states
that despite the circumstances when the presumption of order of death is uncertain then neither of the
parties are to be presumed to have survived the other, ergo diminishing the current legal stance
relating to the general rule that the younger of the parties is presumed to have survived the elder.
However this change has the ability to give rights to beneficiaries in both wills rather than vesting in
the younger of the two deceased persons. For example if an unmarried couple die and leave wills to
each other whom failing their two children then by applying the proposed rule in the bill then both
children will receive from the will rather than the younger of the deceased.
The idea of the provisions set out in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 were to help benefit the
younger person who is presumed to have predeceased the elder so that the possible whom failing
clause can be met rather than the estate falling into partial intestacy. A case which illustrates this
outcome well is the Ross s Judicial Factor v Martin when both died and the common law rule was
applied it was determined that neither would have survived the other. This therefor caused both of the
estates to be treated as

Change In Government And Politics In Japan, 1931-1941
Throughout the years of 1931 1941, Japan was politically unstable due to divisions among politicians
and those in the military. Due to those divisions, the government had changed multiple times as a
result of power struggles within the different government factions, and actions of the military. Change
in government were a way for Japan to survive through these times with different leaders, albeit the
military had most control over the political situation in Japan. Just as a bicycle would be used for
survival, Japan was trying to survive through different government factions to lead the country. There
were two leading factions within Japan between 1931 and 1941; the Koda ha and the Tosei ha, both
being imperialist and expansionist, with Koda ha the more radical group. The Koda ha believed the
best way for Japan to survive and thrive was through dictatorship, ...Koda ha was generally the more

Analysis Of John Vargas The Tenth Mile
Real: A Review of John Vargas The Tenth Mile
In action pictures, there was no virtuous side to identify with and nobody you really felt very good
about cheering for. (Kael 113) This forty two year old remark is still true for at least half of present
day action movies; the remaining ones are either about good triumphing over evil or about dopey loser
unlocking inner genius. These movies usually (and perhaps unavoidably) involve vendettas too bad to
be true or masters too good to be true. While I openly distain their outright unreality and secretly savor
their gripping intensity, I am aware of a hope, an expectation, a desire, deep in my heart, awaiting
something with both stylish actions and a realistic plot. The Tenth Mile perfectly fits that blank space.
Born in America and raised in six different countries, the young avant garde director John Vargas set
out to produce something different. And he did it. The story seems incredibly real and resonates well
with us normal people partly because Vargas based the story largely on his own experience living and
learning martial arts in different countries. There is no dark, dread, dangerous gang leader, nor old,
white, near divine grandmaster. The protagonist Pete Harkin, played by the action movie icon Mason
Grey, is no more than an avid lover of martial arts. Anyone can be Pete. Anyone can learn martial arts.
Convinced by his very first western boxing master of the Nine Miles to becoming a real martial artist,
Pete goes

The Pros And Cons Of Gun Control
As opponents against gun control have numerous reasons as to why guns should not be restricted
amongst the American public but pointed to the Second Amendment to the United Constitution as the
main reason why gun control should not be permitted in the U.S. However, what these critics do not
want to accept is that since 1980, several crucial events in the United States have led to excessive gun
control movement. Remarkably, it takes a lot more than one appalling catastrophe to influence
Americans that more attention should be taken into monitoring the number and types of guns the
public can get access to. However, some major shooting calamities in the U.S such as assassination
attempts on President Reagan s, Columbine, Virginia Tech, and Sandy Hook have all triggered
majority of Americans to take a stance in favor of gun control legislation. The first key push in the
direction of the gun control movement begun during the era of Ronald Reagan presidency since he
happened to be of one of the most pro gun presidents in American history.
During the first few months of his presidency, a notorious assassination effort nearly terminated his
life. This almost tragic moment in history happened on March 30, 1981, as President Reagan finished
delivering his speech at the Washington Hilton Hotel, to a group of union members of the AFL
CIO.21. Nonetheless, unknowingly to the President s Secret Service detail was a 25 year old named
John Hinckley Jr. was waiting outside the hotel, with the determination of killing president Reagan.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) records states, at 2:25 P.M., as the President
go out of the hotel from side of the VIP entrance, and made his way to his limousine, six successive
shots were fired from Mr. Hinckley s handgun, in the direction of the President and his Secret Service
detail. The FBI accounts state, President Reagan was struck in the left chest area by a bullet along with
his press Secretary Brady who was also shot from the same spate of bullets which entered his brain
above his left eye. and also two of his Secret Service Agent McCarthy and officer Delahanty. Reagan,
Brady, McCarthy and Delahanty were dashed to the hospital, while other officers

Comparison Of Beloved And Ceremony
Beloved, written by Toni Morrison in 1987, and Ceremony, written by Leslie Marmon Silko in 1977,
have many overlapping characteristics. The two novels discuss finding identity through culture and
the importance of tradition. Beloved tells the story of an ex slave named Sethe and her daughter
Denver. They resided in a house haunted by the ghost of Sethe s child, named Beloved. Beloved came
back to haunt the family in human form and attempted to tear the family apart. In the end, Sethe s
neighbors, who abandoned the family many years before, come back to exorcise the baby ghost and
rid the family of all of its misfortune. The title Ceremony is based on the oral traditions and the
ceremonial practices that the Native American people partook ... Show more content on

They use stories to pass down all of their past, including history, science, religious beliefs and many
more subjects. One of the poems goes like this: Ts its tsi nako, Thought Woman, is sitting in her room
and what ever she thinks about appears. She thought of her sisters, Nau ts ity i and I tcs i, and together
they created the Universe this world and the four worlds below. Thought Woman, the spider, named
things and as she named them they appeared (Silko, page 1). This poem shows how poems pass down
the Native Americans heritage from past to future generations. This discussed how they believed the
world was created, which is part of their religion. Silko uses poems as her way of showing their oral
tradition and they are used throughout the novel. The stories represent the Native American
understanding of the world for Tayo, even though the white people tried to make him believe they
were false. He became very confused for a long time in his life, but once he begins reenacting these
stories he reconnects with his community and feels complete again. The stories take away his
loneliness because his whole community shares them because they have gone through similar
experiences. The influence that stories have on his culture is described like this, They aren t just
entertainment. Don t be fooled. They are all we have, you see, all we have to fight off illness and
death. You don t have anything if you don t have the stories. Their evil is mighty but it can t stand up
to our stories. So they try to destroy the stories let the stories be confused or forgotten (Silko, page 2).
This quote is saying that the storytelling is what is keeping the Native American tribes connected and
if these stories are not told anymore, then their culture will fall apart. Storytelling in both Beloved and
Ceremony controls the lives of all the characters and

Jobs That Stress Never Ends
Jobs That Stress Never Ends
The world population is excessively on the rise making people hard to find a job for a living so that
almost every job in this highly competitive world is increasingly stressful, so can anyone find a job
that has no stress? Perhaps, the answer for this question is always no because stress actually comes
from many causes whether people like it or not. For example, stress comes from bosses, colleagues,
compensation, and jobs pressure. Stress mostly depends on what types of jobs. There are many types
of jobs that are stressful, but people often think about the top three stressful jobs such as police
officers, airline pilots, and firefighters.
One of the most stressful jobs is police officers. Three causes that make police officers stressful are
working long hours and unusual time, strictly conforming to non disclosure policy, and dealing with
many kinds of perpetrators. First, working long hours and unusual time makes them stressful because
they do not have much time to stay together with their family and take care of their children as well.
They start working in the early morning but get off duty late at night. Working during weekend does
not become an unusual task for their job, and sometimes they have to be present urgently by the order
of their chief officer due to a serious case. They unintentionally lose a lot of good chances to celebrate
holidays or birthday parties together with their family. Their jobs bring in a lot of stress for them.

A Narrative Of The Captivity Analysis
Though taken prisoner, the captured have mixed emotions towards their masters. The captives become
more comfortable in their environment, they begin eating their food and enjoying their culture. The
captives forget their situations when their captors show even a little compassion, they begin to praise
them when in reality the captors have only given them skewed freedoms. Yet, the captives begin to
want to be a part of their community and begin to hate themselves for those thoughts. The narrator of
Captivity strikes the earth uselessly in her dream where she yearns to be a part of a Native American
ritual, because she knows she never can truly take part. Though the captee s vision can be blurred by
their closeness to the situation, the readers can see that the captors treat the captured with no human
understanding by taking away their families. Ultimately, captors are portrayed negatively, even if their
captives begin to want to be like them by eating their foods and yearning to be a part of their
traditions. In Mary Rowlandson s. A Narrative of the Captivity, Rowlandson becomes more
comfortable with her captors and their culture, by feeling comfortable with the people, though she is
still in captivity and has limited freedoms. The captive becomes comfortable enough with her
surroundings to ask one of the Native Americans to pay her for her services. She has lost some of the
fear she once had. She goes into wigwams without fear of being hurt by the unknown tribe members.

Plato s Views On Socrates
The most significant writings on Socrates came from one of his own disciples, Plato. Plato s writings
are the reason Socrates is historical figure he is today, without them Socrates would have been nothing
more than a minor presence (Navia 93). Plato s writings are classified as either early, middle, or late.
However, only the early writings best portray the real Socrates (Navia 105). These writings include the
Euthyphro, Crito, Phaedo, and most importantly the Apology, which discusses the trial and execution
of Socrates. Similarly Xenophon s dialogue of the same name also discusses the same subject. While
both authors demonstrate similar positions defending Socrates, their approach to their discussion
varies significantly.
Even though it is not known how close of a relationship Plato and Socrates had, it is very obvious that
Socrates played a major role in influencing philosophy into the life of Plato. Plato was born in Aegina
on 427 BCE and ultimately died in Athens in his school, The Academy, on 347 BCE (Navia 95). He
had two older brothers Glaucon and Adeimantus, and a half brother, Antiphon, who were also students
of Socrates. He was born into an aristocratic family involved in government, and in turn he would be
destined for a life involved in politics as well. However Plato avoided involvement in government
after witnessing all the corruptionmby his uncle, and as a result, leads to his first encounter with
Socrates as his pupil at the age of twenty (Navia 96).

Terrell Trojan War
The topic of the Trojan War has been analyzed, criticized, and researched for millennia. Many
archeologists have spent decades trying to unveil the truth of the Trojan War. In 1894, the University
of Texas was presented with the opportunity to purchase the alleged site of Troy. Alexander Watkins
Terrell, the minister to the Ottoman Empire, believed it was imperative that the University of Texas
capitalize on this opportunity as he felt the site was teeming with academic possibilities. The
University of Texas, however, did not purchase the site. The decision to not obtain the land was a
mistake on the part of the University of Texas as the site held the potential to gain an advantage over
other universities of the time and reveal truths pertaining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alexander Watkins Terrell, having been offered a chance to obtain the site thought to be Troy,
proposed that the University of Texas purchase the land alongside its antiquities. He believed that this
would have furthered the success of the University and would offer for an attraction that would have
proven beneficial for the University. Because the University did not accept the proposal, it missed out
on a plethora of possibilities. The University, on a microscale, missed the chance to present its
archeological department with a valuable tool. However, on a larger scale, the University missed the
opportunity to lead archeologists around the world in the search for the truth of the legendary city of
Troy. I believe had the University listened to Terrell, the knowledge of ancient Greco Roman
civilization, especially pertaining to Troy, would be exponentially higher than modern archeologists

A Interview On The Film The Night Of The Eyes
As the cheers and enthusiasm came from the roaring crowd, all chanting the word Spice Time, Spice

Responsibilities And Responsibilities Of Fiduciary...
it might be said:
I INTRODUCTION
In Australia, the doctor and patient relationship does not fall within an established category of
fiduciary duty. The High Court in its decisions has been unwilling to alter equity s principles in a
manner that would allow fiduciary obligations to be imposed upon doctor and patient relationships. In
order to understand the High Court s unwillingness, this essay will examine and discuss the
established categories of fiduciary relationships, fiduciary relations outside of the established
categories and the nature of fiduciary obligations in terms of prohibitive (negative) and prescriptive
(positive) duties and existing common law duties.
II DISCUSSION
A Fiduciary Obligations and the Established ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, when one considers the primary role of a doctor, it seems much more suitable to describe
their duty as relating to the exercise of reasonable care and skill in the provision of professional advice
and treatment .
At first glance, it is easy to see how even this could be perceived to be fiduciary in nature, whereby
patients often confide in and depend on their doctor who they believe will act in their best interests.
Even so, there is a major difference between the doctor patient relationship and the established
fiduciary relationships.
In established fiduciary relationships the fiduciary acts like a representative character in the exercise
of his responsibility . When considering the role of doctors generally, it cannot be said that the role of
doctors is to act as the representatives of their patients. As such, the High Court in Breen v Williams
determined that it would not impose fiduciary obligations between doctor and patient since
traditionally there was no such established relationship in Australian law.
B Fiduciary Relations Outside the Established Categories
In spite of this, it should be noted that the categories of fiduciary relationship are not closed and the
courts powers may be extended, so as to be able to find a fiduciary relationship outside the established
categories. The finding of a fiduciary relationship in such circumstances will be based on the factual

2. What Types Of AdWords Advertising Campaign Should I Start With?
Set up the best Google AdWords campaign for your business needs. The first question to ask is, What
type of AdWords advertising campaign should I start with? Before you ask, it s important to
understand the difference between them.
Ads go far beyond those little boxes filled with words and pictures that pop up when someone
conducts a Google search. When it comes to Google AdWords, there are two main types of ad
campaigns the search network, and the display network. Though, it is also possible to select a
combination of search and display network ads. Additionally, there are some specifically focused
campaigns that use shopping, video and apps to draw and keep customers. Here are some of the most
widely used and successful ad campaign types.
The Search Network The way this type of advertising campaign works is that you link AdWords to
keywords and phrases. When someone searches for these linked key words or phrases, your ad will
show up. The ads that appear are relevant to the person s search. The person searching looks up what
they want under a category heading through Google much like they used to do with a phone directory
or Yellow Pages. For instance, if you are searching for a dentist, related ads for dentists will
conveniently appear. The Search Network type of ad campaign targets the search partners so that your
ads display not only in a Google search but also in other Google partners, like

A Comparison Of Intertextuality In The Matrix And The Matrix
The Matrix
Intertextuality is the relationship between two texts with the same setting or theme. For example The
Matrix is just one of many films that use more than one intertextuality in the film. By using
intertextuality it helps send messages out that the audience will understand better from the dialogue. In
the film The Matrix the main character Neo (Thomas Anderson), finds out that the world he is living
in is controlled by false intelligence to hide the truth about the real world. Some references from this
film are Alice in Wonderland and Plato s Allegory of the cave these films are used because of how
both of these films use imaginary worlds and also machinery taking over society. These films all
revolve around one metaphysical question, what is real? and both of these films have many
similarities.
Neo, who is the main character, is trapped in a false existence, which is crated by a computer program.
The Machines created the program also took over the planet. In Plato s Allegory of the Cave is about a
prisoner who is able to understand the difference between the reality of the cave and the real one out
side of the cave. But both of these films revolve around the same metaphysical question, what is real?
there are quite a few similarities that the matrix and the cave share. One of the biggest similarities is
the fact that they both, Neo and the freed prisoner have to face the acceptance of the truth about
themselves. Both of them have to accept the truth before they can learn the truth and about the
essential truths. Neo and the freed prisoner need to experience proof that the senses are inadequate and
that they can be systematically deceived before they can learn the knowledge they need. Both of the
worlds in the stories are controlled by a greater power. For example, Plato s prisoners live in a cave
that is controlled by the leaders, while Neo lives in a world that is controlled by the matrix. In the end
both of the characters realise that they are just prisoners and were unaware of the reality they thought
they know.
Both of these stories have the characters learning new achievements. In the Matrix, neo can learn
physically impossible things once he learns how to manipulate the matrix. And the

Frankenstein vs Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

Frankenstein Comparative Essay Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley, is a novel about a creature
that is produced by Victor Frankenstein, as a result of his desire to discover the secret of life. Dr.
Frankenstein founded this secret by animating dead flesh and stitching human corpses together to
create a superhuman. As a reader, one realizes the consequences of Victor s discoveries through series
of unfortunate events that occur in the novel. The story begins with four letters which help introduce
the story from Walton s perspective as he meets Victor and learns the truth and tragedy behind Dr.
Frankenstein. However, throughout the novel, letters are sent from Elizabeth and Alphonse, which
further develop the story. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Character development determines what ways characters affect the progress of the plot; therefore in
both novels, one can identify events that begin to answer each novel s mysteries. In Dr. Jekyll and Mr.
Hyde, Lanyon receives a registered letter from Henry Jekyll, that presents a list of duties he wishes
Lanyon can do in his favor. He asks if he can go to his drawer in his lab, to pick up items that are to be
given to a man, that would visit Utterson s dwelling that same evening. The items included salt, a vial
of blood, and liquor. That evening Edward Hyde, the strange looking man, arrived and used the items
Utterson had picked up. In the next moment, it was no longer the strange man that stood before
Utterson, but Henry Jekyll. As a reader, this discovery explains that Jekyll took a special potion, which
changed his identity of Mr. Hyde to Dr. Jekyll. This also explains that the murderer of Sir Danvers
Carew was Jekyll in Hyde s body. Lanyon states, The creature who crept into my house that night was,
on Jekyll s own confession, known by the name of Hyde and hunted for in every corner of the land as
the murderer of Carew. (Stevenson, Page 59) This quotation signifies the verification of the murderer,
as well explains why the letters of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde were identical. This further develops the
plot, as characters are developed which help justify the mystery in the novel. Elizabeth s letter written
to Victor Frankenstein, expresses

Essay on Uranus
The bland aquamarine face of Uranus bears witness to the fact that Uranus is enshrouded in clouds.
The planet appears to be blue green because the atmosphere absorbs the, red wavelengths of the
visible spectrum, . The uniformity of the planet s appearance confirms that the planet s atmosphere is
composed almost solely of one element, methane gas. There is a preponderance of haze, composed of
ethane and other hydrocarbon ices high in the stratosphere, and clouds of methane ice low in the
troposphere. The cloud particles constantly recycle themselves, first creating then destroying the
heaviest crystals. This is an indication that Uranus atmosphere is still evolving from its formation out
of the solar nebula. Because Uranus lies on its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Giant planets do not have the same kind of structure inside that the terrestrial planets do. Their
evolution was quite different than that of the terrestrial planets, and they have much more gas and ice
inside.
Uranus s interior composition is primarily that of methane ice.
Motions in the interior of Uranus contribute to the formation of the magnetosphere of Uranus. Heat
generated within Uranus contributes to the unusual motions of the atmosphere.
The magnetosphere of Uranus is medium sized, but still much larger than the Earth s. It extends well
beyond the orbits of Uranus moons. It is probably generated in the icy interior layers, rather than with
a metallic component at the core.
The magnetosphere of Uranus has a very strange orientation, tilted by almost 60 degrees from the
vertical. The extreme tilt, combined with the extreme tilt of the rotation axis of Uranus, provides for a
completely unique magnetosphere, one which has a twisting structure!
Mathematical theory suggests that the rings of Uranus affect the both the motion of particles in the
magnetosphere, as well as creating a strange,

Peloponnesian War Essay
There were two sides to the Peloponnesian War, Sparta and Athens. Athens was the head of the Delian
League, and Sparta was the head of the older Peloponnesian League. The war lasted from
approximately 460 to 404 BCE. There were two parts of the war. The first lasted from 406 to 446
BCE. The second part, the most important stage, was from 431 to 404 BCE. Both Sparta and Athens
were two very powerful forces in Ancient Greece (Cartwright). They never really trusted or liked each

Athens decided to helped Corcyra, but Sparta helped Corinth. Sparta chose to try to keep the peace

Compare And Contrast Safavid And Mughal Empires
Safavid and Mughal Empires The decline of the Mongol Empire laid ground for the Ottoman, Safavid,
and Mughal empires. These three empires all had military strength, Sovereign Pride, Religious
commitment, and Aesthetic sophistication in common to varying degrees. The Safavid and Ottoman
empires are usually compared because of the wars that broke out between them and their similar
attributes. However, this will be a comparison of the Safavid and Mughal Empires. The Mughal
empire was founded by leader Zahir al Din Muhammad, known as Babur (the tiger) in 1526. When he
defeated Ibrahim Lodi, the last of the Afghan Lodi Sultans at the First Battle of Panipat, where they
used gunpowder for the first time in India. The Mughal Empire is known as a gunpowder empire.
With the help of gunpowder weapons Babur took Delhi in 1526. When Babur died in 1530 he left a
loosely knit empire he called Mughal. The word Mughal was the Persian term for Mongol. The
Safavid Empire s founder was the Persian mystic Sheikh Safi al Din (1254 1334), after whom the
order was named. The Safavid Empire was based in what is today Iran. This Islamic Empire was
strong enough to challenge the Ottomans in the west and the Mughals in the east. The Mughal Empire

The Heating Phases That Occurred During The Experiment Essay
1. Figure 1 shows the heating phases that occurred during the experiment. There is an exponential
decrease in temperature as the depth of the water increases. Water has a high specific heat capacity
which means that it can resist changes in temperature. This is coupled with the fact that solar radiation
progressively loses its penetrative ability as the depth of the water increases. The light attenuation in
lakes describes the decrease in actual light that can penetrate a water column as well as the fact that
most of the energy that the light has is absorbed by the surface of the water.
2. The end of step 4 during the experiment creates the tripartite thermal structure within the lake
substitute. This is composed of three parts called the epilimnion, the thermocline and the hypolimnion.
The epilimnion represents the surface of the lake which experiences the most heat during the summer
and has the highest temperature compared to the other parts of the thermal structure. The thermocline
is the section of water that has the large exponential decrease in temperature. This is shown in figure 1
at the end of the heating phase, the temperature decreases by a large amount as the depth increases
from 1cm to 9cm. Finally there is the hypolimnion which is shown in figure 1 in all phases as the cold
part of the water column. This is the most unaffected part, as the solar radiation does not effectively
penetrate that deep into the water hence the temperature stays almost constant. The

food they have purchased came from. The reason food is so inexpensive has not been a concern to the

Pollan goes on to suggest that there are many different approaches to the food movement, and

around the recognition that todays food and farming economy is unsustainable, [...] that it can t go on

Literary Devices Used In The Raven By Edgar Allen Poe
Matthew Hylton ENG 200 030 December 7, 2017 The Raven Edgar Allen Poe The Raven by Edgar
Allen Poe is a first person narrative poem that is truly a dark poem of one s sanity when losing a loved
one. The poem is eighteen stanzas long that contains 108 lines. The poem uses many literary and
poetic devices to help construct the eerie atmosphere. Poe begins the poem by describing a setting that
symbolizes darkness and death perfectly Once upon a midnight dreary (1). Poe uses an internal rhyme
to heighten the effect of the setting. He does this to foreshadow the events that happen later on in the
poem, that the reader will soon begin to understand the dreariness of the setting. Poe is a mastermind
of using these devices to draw the reader in and help them understand the narrator on a deeper level
during the reading of the poem. As stanza one continues, Poe uses an alliteration in line 3 of the poem,
While I nodded, nearly napping (3), by using the repetition of the n sound throughout the stanza I
would argue he is trying to build suspense of the narrator answering the door. Poe uses many rhyme
schemes throughout the poem to give a bigger meaning to each word. The first stanza is no different.
Poe uses many internal rhymes in the stanza, but even uses an end rhyme in lines 2, 3, 4, and 5. He
uses the rhyme scheme ABCBBB in the first stanza. As Poe continues, the narrator begins to
remember his lost loved one Lenore . Poe begins to go darker into the poem creating an even larger
suspense, and added dramatic effect as the narrator slowly approaches the door to open it. Ah,
distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; (6) Poe is using symbolism again to further his
dark atmosphere that he created in the first stanza. Poe is trying to get the reader to understand the
severity of the narrator s depression about Lenore . Poe in the very next line continues his emphasis on
the eeriness that is this poem s atmosphere. By describing the embers of the fire going out, he is
creating an image of darkness soon approaching. Because once the embers go out, the light goes out. I
would argue that Poe is foreshadowing even more of what will happen later in the poem. As the stanza
continues, you soon realize

Lab Report Diffusion
In our first unit of honors chemistry, we learned many different concepts through the application or the
completing of experiments. This way we were able to witness different things and create our own
conclusions about our three different labs. After each lab, we critical thought about what we observed
and what these observations meant. In this way, we were truly able to learn and understand the
purposes of the labs and other concepts that were expressed in each lab. Some of the concepts that we
learned included the difference between an observation and an inference, what does diffusion do, what
is the difference between a physical change and a chemical change, and how does energy affect a

A chemical change is an irreversible reaction that involves the changing of the substances chemical
properties and results in the creation of a new substance. A physical change is a change that affects the
physical aspects or form of the substance, but not tis chemical properties. This type of reaction can be
reversed and a completely new substance is not formed. So, to know if a chemical change has taken
place the many thing to look for is if a new substance is created from the reaction. Experiments can be
tested to make sure that no form of a chemical change has taken place if a person is unsure about
whether a reaction is physical or chemical. One way that a person could test to make sure the reaction
was not a chemical one is to simply see if a product has been produced. If there was a substance
created from the reactants coming in contact with each other, then the change was a chemical one.
Then, if you are unsure of if a product was created, then you could view the molecules of the reactants
under an electron microscope to see if they changed from their original form and their chemical
properties. Finally, if you are still completely unsure of if the reaction was chemical, then you could
go through a series of ways that may undo the reaction because if the change can be reversed then it is
a physical change. So, when applying these ways that can confirm that there is no

Canadian Tire s Current Data Warehouse
Overview of Canadian Tire s Current Data Warehouse Gathering requirements from end users was an
important step in resolving the issues that currently exist at Canadian Tire. Gathering requirements for
a data warehouse is not the same as defining the requirements for an operational system (Ponniah, pg.
121). When you research and then develop any system, it is critical that the system produces exactly
what the users need to perform their specific tasks. CTC did not have this production for their end
users. These users typically do not understand the big picture workings of a data warehousing process.
Therefore, the help of a business analyst is critical. From the results provided in the case study, we can
agree that these requirements must be addressed:
Capacity constraints

Overview of Canadian Tire s Business Intelligence The current process for CTC to acquire BI is a
broken system. Much of the information derived, from the current data in the warehouse, was done by
FRAG, individual user groups and hired business analysts who extracted data and created reports.
This was creating a serious misallocation of resources and responsibilities throughout the company.
Shadow groups, created to complete some of the required BI tasks, were not only less efficient than an
organized strategy, but were also a security risk to CTC. With small groups taking over the
responsibility of creating BI, the

My brother has severe pet allergies. If he is with a cat or dog for too long, he could have an asthma
attack and die. A concern for him is service and ESA dogs in public areas. Dogs in public areas are
becoming a problem, but how do we fix it? Before we can fix the situation we must first look at the
differences between service dogs and ESA, the problems with them, and finally how to fix the

Advertisement Analysis Of Advertisement
Healthy living is a common goal for many individuals in today s society. Many individuals state that
the motive behind healthy living is to maintain their outward physical appearance; however, not as
much do individuals state that the reason for their healthy living is to maintain their inward physical
appearance, such as the health of major bodily organs. Eating healthy is vital to keeping bodily organs
functioning properly, and the advertisement, created by Fortis, portrays this. The advertisement tries to
encourage the audience to live a healthy lifestyle by making the decision to eat healthy from the use of
the emotional appeal in the text, and the connection between broccoli and kidneys in the picture.
These two techniques combine to make it easier to convince the viewer to eat healthy.
Before trying to understand the purpose of this advertisement, it s best to observe the creator of the
advertisement. As denoted by the emblem towards the bottom of the advertisement, it was created by a
healthcare company in India, named Fortis. Fortis is known internationally as one of the top medical
institutions in the world. By Fortis being a healthcare company, they often preach about making
healthy lifestyle choices. From their track record on encouraging the public to stay healthy, it is
expected that the motivation behind this advertisement is to do the same. The other emblem on the
bottom of advertisement shows that it was released on or around World Kidney Day. World Kidney

  • 2. Joe s Descriptive Writing Have you ever tried a slice of real, famous New York pizza? It s nearly impossible to find that quality outside of NY, especially down here in the South. However, I had heard of this place right off Issaqueena Trail in Clemson that claimed to take you to New York City with one bite. After visiting Joe s, I realized they weren t lying! Joe s New York Pizza sets the bar high for other pizza places due to its high food quality, prompt service, and overall welcoming environment. The sun hung low in the sky as I walked up to the entrance to Joe s. When the front door opened, scents of roasted garlic, melted cheese, and spices and a smile greeted me. The place was spotless with glimmering floors, and the glass looked like you could put your hand through it. There was no mistaking that this was a Clemson oriented shop; orange and purple tables, booths, chairs, and walls filled the building. On the main wall, there was a mural stretching to both ends depicting a roaring tiger, Death Valley post win, and a plethora of Clemson sports. Towards the back of the dining room, there was an open kitchen, guarded by two stainless steel shelves. I could see the industrial oven through the window, as they pulled out hot, freshly baked pizzas, cut them, and sent them on. Sounds of clanking plates, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their menu had an eclectic group of choices, the place was spotlessly clean, and the pride taken in Clemson via art was admirable. I would rate Joe s 5 stars without a shadow of a doubt. Not only is the food excellent quality, but the first rate staff and the convivial atmosphere created really sets them apart from other restaurants in the area. The Puente Hills Fault is one of the most dangerous sleeping monsters (if it were to) create an earthquake. It is located in the Los Angeles basin, where it can cause approximately 45 seconds of rippling instead of just 7 seconds because it is on softer ground, cause thousands of deaths, and potentially destroy the city of Los Angeles. The first big one that hit California was in San Francisco by the San Andreas Fault. This earthquake gave recognition to the dangers of the tectonic plates right beneath us. The Reasons For The European Age Of Exploration The European Age of Exploration, a period from the early 15th century continuing into the 17th century, brought about expansion, technology, and nation building with explorer ships traveling the seas in a search for a new trading routes and new land. There was a multitude of motivations for the European nations want to fund explorers who desired to take on the challenges of exploration. Competition between the Portuguese and the Spanish motivated both nations to seek colonization of the New World quickly and aggressively. Prince Henry the Navigator spearheaded Portugal s exploration of Africa and the Atlantic in the 1400s [Saylor]. Portuguese sailors successfully navigated an eastward route to West Africa, where they established a trading foothold. Portugal then spread its empire down the western coast of Africa to the Congo, along the western coast of India, and eventually to Brazil and the Atlantic islands. On a warm day, a cold drink of water with ice can be refreshing, just like a dip in a cold late, the same can be said for a warm cup of tea in the middle of the winter. Water moves through Earth; the process of waters movement is explained by the hydrologic cycle. The hydrologic cycle is the continuous exchange of water among the oceans, the atmosphere, and the continents. The hydrologic cycle has several essential parts, evaporation, transportation, and precipitation. Evaporation is the action of water moving into the atmosphere where it condenses and forms clouds, moisture is then transported in the atmosphere all over earth ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Bill introduces a very drastic change to the aforementioned provisions in Section 31 as it states that despite the circumstances when the presumption of order of death is uncertain then neither of the parties are to be presumed to have survived the other, ergo diminishing the current legal stance relating to the general rule that the younger of the parties is presumed to have survived the elder. However this change has the ability to give rights to beneficiaries in both wills rather than vesting in the younger of the two deceased persons. For example if an unmarried couple die and leave wills to each other whom failing their two children then by applying the proposed rule in the bill then both children will receive from the will rather than the younger of the deceased. The idea of the provisions set out in the Succession (Scotland) Act 1964 were to help benefit the younger person who is presumed to have predeceased the elder so that the possible whom failing clause can be met rather than the estate falling into partial intestacy. A case which illustrates this outcome well is the Ross s Judicial Factor v Martin when both died and the common law rule was applied it was determined that neither would have survived the other. • 12. Analysis Of John Vargas The Tenth Mile Real: A Review of John Vargas The Tenth Mile In action pictures, there was no virtuous side to identify with and nobody you really felt very good about cheering for. (Kael 113) This forty two year old remark is still true for at least half of present day action movies; the remaining ones are either about good triumphing over evil or about dopey loser unlocking inner genius. These movies usually (and perhaps unavoidably) involve vendettas too bad to be true or masters too good to be true. While I openly distain their outright unreality and secretly savor their gripping intensity, I am aware of a hope, an expectation, a desire, deep in my heart, awaiting something with both stylish actions and a realistic plot. The Tenth Mile perfectly fits that blank space. Born in America and raised in six different countries, the young avant garde director John Vargas set out to produce something different. And he did it. The story seems incredibly real and resonates well with us normal people partly because Vargas based the story largely on his own experience living and learning martial arts in different countries. There is no dark, dread, dangerous gang leader, nor old, white, near divine grandmaster. Remarkably, it takes a lot more than one appalling catastrophe to influence Americans that more attention should be taken into monitoring the number and types of guns the public can get access to. However, some major shooting calamities in the U.S such as assassination attempts on President Reagan s, Columbine, Virginia Tech, and Sandy Hook have all triggered majority of Americans to take a stance in favor of gun control legislation. The first key push in the direction of the gun control movement begun during the era of Ronald Reagan presidency since he happened to be of one of the most pro gun presidents in American history. During the first few months of his presidency, a notorious assassination effort nearly terminated his life. They resided in a house haunted by the ghost of Sethe s child, named Beloved. Beloved came back to haunt the family in human form and attempted to tear the family apart. She thought of her sisters, Nau ts ity i and I tcs i, and together they created the Universe this world and the four worlds below. Thought Woman, the spider, named things and as she named them they appeared (Silko, page 1). This poem shows how poems pass down the Native Americans heritage from past to future generations. This discussed how they believed the world was created, which is part of their religion. Silko uses poems as her way of showing their oral tradition and they are used throughout the novel. The stories represent the Native American understanding of the world for Tayo, even though the white people tried to make him believe they were false. He became very confused for a long time in his life, but once he begins reenacting these stories he reconnects with his community and feels complete again. The stories take away his loneliness because his whole community shares them because they have gone through similar experiences. The influence that stories have on his culture is described like this, They aren t just entertainment. Don t be fooled. They are all we have, you see, all we have to fight off illness and death. You don t have anything if you don t have the stories. Their evil is mighty but it can t stand up to our stories. So they try to destroy the stories let the stories be confused or forgotten (Silko, page 2). Perhaps, the answer for this question is always no because stress actually comes from many causes whether people like it or not. For example, stress comes from bosses, colleagues, compensation, and jobs pressure. Stress mostly depends on what types of jobs. There are many types of jobs that are stressful, but people often think about the top three stressful jobs such as police officers, airline pilots, and firefighters. One of the most stressful jobs is police officers. Three causes that make police officers stressful are working long hours and unusual time, strictly conforming to non disclosure policy, and dealing with many kinds of perpetrators. First, working long hours and unusual time makes them stressful because they do not have much time to stay together with their family and take care of their children as well. They start working in the early morning but get off duty late at night. Working during weekend does not become an unusual task for their job, and sometimes they have to be present urgently by the order of their chief officer due to a serious case. They unintentionally lose a lot of good chances to celebrate holidays or birthday parties together with their family. Their jobs bring in a lot of stress for them. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The captives become more comfortable in their environment, they begin eating their food and enjoying their culture. The captives forget their situations when their captors show even a little compassion, they begin to praise them when in reality the captors have only given them skewed freedoms. Yet, the captives begin to want to be a part of their community and begin to hate themselves for those thoughts. The narrator of Captivity strikes the earth uselessly in her dream where she yearns to be a part of a Native American ritual, because she knows she never can truly take part. Though the captee s vision can be blurred by their closeness to the situation, the readers can see that the captors treat the captured with no human understanding by taking away their families. Ultimately, captors are portrayed negatively, even if their captives begin to want to be like them by eating their foods and yearning to be a part of their traditions. In Mary Rowlandson s. A Narrative of the Captivity, Rowlandson becomes more comfortable with her captors and their culture, by feeling comfortable with the people, though she is still in captivity and has limited freedoms. Plato s writings are the reason Socrates is historical figure he is today, without them Socrates would have been nothing more than a minor presence (Navia 93). Similarly Xenophon s dialogue of the same name also discusses the same subject. While both authors demonstrate similar positions defending Socrates, their approach to their discussion varies significantly. Even though it is not known how close of a relationship Plato and Socrates had, it is very obvious that Socrates played a major role in influencing philosophy into the life of Plato. Plato was born in Aegina on 427 BCE and ultimately died in Athens in his school, The Academy, on 347 BCE (Navia 95). He had two older brothers Glaucon and Adeimantus, and a half brother, Antiphon, who were also students of Socrates. He was born into an aristocratic family involved in government, and in turn he would be destined for a life involved in politics as well. Even so, there is a major difference between the doctor patient relationship and the established fiduciary relationships. In established fiduciary relationships the fiduciary acts like a representative character in the exercise of his responsibility . When considering the role of doctors generally, it cannot be said that the role of doctors is to act as the representatives of their patients. In the film The Matrix the main character Neo (Thomas Anderson), finds out that the world he is living in is controlled by false intelligence to hide the truth about the real world. Some references from this film are Alice in Wonderland and Plato s Allegory of the cave these films are used because of how both of these films use imaginary worlds and also machinery taking over society. These films all revolve around one metaphysical question, what is real? and both of these films have many similarities. Neo, who is the main character, is trapped in a false existence, which is crated by a computer program. The Machines created the program also took over the planet. In Plato s Allegory of the Cave is about a prisoner who is able to understand the difference between the reality of the cave and the real one out side of the cave. But both of these films revolve around the same metaphysical question, what is real? there are quite a few similarities that the matrix and the cave share. One of the biggest similarities is the fact that they both, Neo and the freed prisoner have to face the acceptance of the truth about themselves. Both of them have to accept the truth before they can learn the truth and about the essential truths. Neo and the freed prisoner need to experience proof that the senses are inadequate and that they can be systematically deceived before they can learn the knowledge they need. Both of the worlds in the stories are controlled by a greater power. For example, Plato s prisoners live in a cave that is controlled by the leaders, while Neo lives in a world that is controlled by the matrix. In the end both of the characters realise that they are just prisoners and were unaware of the reality they thought they know. Both of these stories have the characters learning new achievements. In the Matrix, neo can learn physically impossible things once he learns how to manipulate the matrix. And the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Frankenstein vs Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde Samantha Fajardo Frankenstein Comparative Essay Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley, is a novel about a creature that is produced by Victor Frankenstein, as a result of his desire to discover the secret of life. Dr. Frankenstein founded this secret by animating dead flesh and stitching human corpses together to create a superhuman. As a reader, one realizes the consequences of Victor s discoveries through series of unfortunate events that occur in the novel. The story begins with four letters which help introduce the story from Walton s perspective as he meets Victor and learns the truth and tragedy behind Dr. Frankenstein. Character development determines what ways characters affect the progress of the plot; therefore in both novels, one can identify events that begin to answer each novel s mysteries. In Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Lanyon receives a registered letter from Henry Jekyll, that presents a list of duties he wishes Lanyon can do in his favor. He asks if he can go to his drawer in his lab, to pick up items that are to be given to a man, that would visit Utterson s dwelling that same evening. The items included salt, a vial of blood, and liquor. That evening Edward Hyde, the strange looking man, arrived and used the items Utterson had picked up. In the next moment, it was no longer the strange man that stood before Utterson, but Henry Jekyll. As a reader, this discovery explains that Jekyll took a special potion, which changed his identity of Mr. Hyde to Dr. Jekyll. This also explains that the murderer of Sir Danvers Carew was Jekyll in Hyde s body. Lanyon states, The creature who crept into my house that night was, on Jekyll s own confession, known by the name of Hyde and hunted for in every corner of the land as the murderer of Carew. (Stevenson, Page 59) This quotation signifies the verification of the murderer, as well explains why the letters of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde were identical. • 31. Essay on Uranus The bland aquamarine face of Uranus bears witness to the fact that Uranus is enshrouded in clouds. The planet appears to be blue green because the atmosphere absorbs the, red wavelengths of the visible spectrum, . The uniformity of the planet s appearance confirms that the planet s atmosphere is composed almost solely of one element, methane gas. There is a preponderance of haze, composed of ethane and other hydrocarbon ices high in the stratosphere, and clouds of methane ice low in the troposphere. The cloud particles constantly recycle themselves, first creating then destroying the heaviest crystals. This is an indication that Uranus atmosphere is still evolving from its formation out of the solar nebula. Because Uranus lies on its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Motions in the interior of Uranus contribute to the formation of the magnetosphere of Uranus. Heat generated within Uranus contributes to the unusual motions of the atmosphere. The magnetosphere of Uranus is medium sized, but still much larger than the Earth s. It extends well beyond the orbits of Uranus moons. It is probably generated in the icy interior layers, rather than with a metallic component at the core. The magnetosphere of Uranus has a very strange orientation, tilted by almost 60 degrees from the vertical. The extreme tilt, combined with the extreme tilt of the rotation axis of Uranus, provides for a completely unique magnetosphere, one which has a twisting structure! • 34. The Heating Phases That Occurred During The Experiment Essay 1. Figure 1 shows the heating phases that occurred during the experiment. There is an exponential decrease in temperature as the depth of the water increases. Water has a high specific heat capacity which means that it can resist changes in temperature. This is coupled with the fact that solar radiation progressively loses its penetrative ability as the depth of the water increases. The light attenuation in lakes describes the decrease in actual light that can penetrate a water column as well as the fact that most of the energy that the light has is absorbed by the surface of the water. 2. The end of step 4 during the experiment creates the tripartite thermal structure within the lake substitute. This is composed of three parts called the epilimnion, the thermocline and the hypolimnion. The epilimnion represents the surface of the lake which experiences the most heat during the summer and has the highest temperature compared to the other parts of the thermal structure. The thermocline is the section of water that has the large exponential decrease in temperature. This is shown in figure 1 at the end of the heating phase, the temperature decreases by a large amount as the depth increases from 1cm to 9cm. Finally there is the hypolimnion which is shown in figure 1 in all phases as the cold part of the water column. This is the most unaffected part, as the solar radiation does not effectively penetrate that deep into the water hence the temperature stays almost constant. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Literary Devices Used In The Raven By Edgar Allen Poe Matthew Hylton ENG 200 030 December 7, 2017 The Raven Edgar Allen Poe The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe is a first person narrative poem that is truly a dark poem of one s sanity when losing a loved one. The poem is eighteen stanzas long that contains 108 lines. The poem uses many literary and poetic devices to help construct the eerie atmosphere. Poe begins the poem by describing a setting that symbolizes darkness and death perfectly Once upon a midnight dreary (1). Poe uses an internal rhyme to heighten the effect of the setting. He does this to foreshadow the events that happen later on in the poem, that the reader will soon begin to understand the dreariness of the setting. Poe is a mastermind of using these devices to draw the reader in and help them understand the narrator on a deeper level during the reading of the poem. As stanza one continues, Poe uses an alliteration in line 3 of the poem, While I nodded, nearly napping (3), by using the repetition of the n sound throughout the stanza I would argue he is trying to build suspense of the narrator answering the door. Poe uses many rhyme schemes throughout the poem to give a bigger meaning to each word. The first stanza is no different. Poe uses many internal rhymes in the stanza, but even uses an end rhyme in lines 2, 3, 4, and 5. He uses the rhyme scheme ABCBBB in the first stanza. As Poe continues, the narrator begins to remember his lost loved one Lenore . Poe begins to go darker into the poem creating an even larger suspense, and added dramatic effect as the narrator slowly approaches the door to open it. Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; (6) Poe is using symbolism again to further his dark atmosphere that he created in the first stanza. Poe is trying to get the reader to understand the severity of the narrator s depression about Lenore . Poe in the very next line continues his emphasis on the eeriness that is this poem s atmosphere. By describing the embers of the fire going out, he is creating an image of darkness soon approaching. Because once the embers go out, the light goes out. I would argue that Poe is foreshadowing even more of what will happen later in the poem. As the stanza continues, you soon realize ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A chemical change is an irreversible reaction that involves the changing of the substances chemical properties and results in the creation of a new substance. A physical change is a change that affects the physical aspects or form of the substance, but not tis chemical properties. This type of reaction can be reversed and a completely new substance is not formed. So, to know if a chemical change has taken place the many thing to look for is if a new substance is created from the reaction. Experiments can be tested to make sure that no form of a chemical change has taken place if a person is unsure about whether a reaction is physical or chemical. One way that a person could test to make sure the reaction was not a chemical one is to simply see if a product has been produced. If there was a substance created from the reactants coming in contact with each other, then the change was a chemical one. Then, if you are unsure of if a product was created, then you could view the molecules of the reactants under an electron microscope to see if they changed from their original form and their chemical properties. Finally, if you are still completely unsure of if the reaction was chemical, then you could go through a series of ways that may undo the reaction because if the change can be reversed then it is a physical change. Canadian Tire s Current Data Warehouse Overview of Canadian Tire s Current Data Warehouse Gathering requirements from end users was an important step in resolving the issues that currently exist at Canadian Tire. Gathering requirements for a data warehouse is not the same as defining the requirements for an operational system (Ponniah, pg. 121). When you research and then develop any system, it is critical that the system produces exactly what the users need to perform their specific tasks. CTC did not have this production for their end users. These users typically do not understand the big picture workings of a data warehousing process. Therefore, the help of a business analyst is critical. From the results provided in the case study, we can agree that these requirements must be addressed: Capacity constraints User query times Defined data model Full enabling of access to enterprise data Overview of Canadian Tire s Business Intelligence The current process for CTC to acquire BI is a broken system.
