Critical Thinking Essay Example
Writing an essay on the subject of critical thinking is, without a doubt, a challenging endeavor. It
requires a deep understanding of the concept itself, as well as the ability to analyze, evaluate,
and synthesize information effectively. Critical thinking involves questioning assumptions,
considering multiple perspectives, and arriving at well-reasoned conclusions.
One of the primary difficulties lies in the nuanced nature of critical thinking. It's not merely
about expressing personal opinions but rather about presenting a well-structured argument
supported by evidence. This necessitates extensive research and a comprehensive grasp of the
topic at hand. Moreover, the essay should reflect the ability to think critically about the
information gathered and communicate those thoughts coherently.
Another challenge is the need for clarity and conciseness. Crafting a critical thinking essay
requires the writer to articulate complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner. Striking the right
balance between depth of analysis and simplicity of expression is a delicate task that demands
careful consideration.
Additionally, the essay should avoid fallacious reasoning and logical pitfalls. Identifying and
addressing potential biases in one's thinking, as well as acknowledging counterarguments, adds
an extra layer of difficulty. It demands intellectual honesty and a willingness to engage with
opposing viewpoints, making the writing process both demanding and intellectually stimulating.
In conclusion, composing a critical thinking essay is no easy feat. It requires a blend of research
skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication. However, the rewards lie in the
development of a sharper intellect and a more nuanced understanding of complex issues.
If you find yourself struggling with such tasks, there are resources available. Similar essays and

Seahorse Description
The vibrant colors of underwater fish and othercolorful sea elements enhance the
beauty of sea environments. There are more than 30 different kinds of seahorses.
Their charming formbeauty and beautyforms make them an inspiring subject yet
challenging to paint. One of favorite habitat of seahorses is seagrass. For my first
project, a yellowish brown seahorse against a blue underwater background comes to
my mind. I want to add colorful seagrass alongside the seahorse rather than plain
green seagrass. The goal is to capture the texture and rhythm of the underwater
environment.

I mask out the seahorse to protect it from the wet wash of seagrass and the second
wash of the underwater background. I apply the masking fluid to the seahorse
thickly and carefully as I would paint it. While the masking fluid dries, I prepare a
pool of ultramarine, thalo blue, thalo green, new gamboge, quinacridone gold,
magenta and indigo. I wet each seagrass with clean water and then mingle two or
three colors I prepare. I drop one color after another and allow them to blend
together. I repeat the process for the other seagrass, changing colors as I work. To
add an interesting texture, I lift out some wet colors with a face tissue. I let the
washes dry.
4. I decide to mask all seagrass before applying the second wash of the underwater
background. Using a 2 wash brush, I wet the entire paper again carefully, trying
not to disturb the initial wash. I apply new gamboge first at the left side and bottom
corner, then move into other water areas. I continue dropping in thalo blue and
ultramarine blue wet in wet. For areas where the main elements are overlapped, I
drop in thick and dark indigo to make them stand out more. Before the wash dries, I

The Path Between the Seas Book Report Essay
Lulu Stevens HST 143 Dr. Quirk 10/26/14The Path Between the Seas By: David
Mccullough David McCullough s The Path Between Seas was printed in New York
City, New York in the year 1977. The events regarding the Panama Canal as
discussed in David McCullough s The Path Between Seas allowed an impressive
assertion of American power the likes of which had never before been displayed. In it
s rich history, this novel offers recollections of failure on France s part, American
strength overcoming Columbian resistance, and triumphant success of medical care
and engineering. During the late 1800s, France was an undeniable force in the
engineering world. It would turn out, however, that America was the country which

As it would turn out, the French didn t exactly accomplish what they had hoped. A
major loss in funds due to gross misuse and bribery and large casualties rendered
the project a total bust. Many of the early deaths were of the brightest engineering
graduates of the time. Exaggerated claims of false progress kept the money flowing
into the project, but before long the fraud was exposed. Only two fifths of the canal
had been dug after the French spent 2 years longer than they d intended digging. De
Lesseps s reputation was destroyed; all assets the French had gathered were sold to
the Americans for a measly $40 million. America unlike their predecessors in the task
would learn from prior mistakes and have much better luck with this undertaking,
eventually accomplishing the task. America would even defeat Columbian resistance
and assist in developing a new country. After settling the close debate as to where the
American s wished to build their canal and purchasing the area under the 1903 Hay
Herran treaty, the U.S. needed only permission to unearth the ground. Colombia wasn

country went quite poorly as well. Arthur BeauprГ© was chose to communicate with

The Geological And Geographical Conditions That Set The...
Chapter 1
1)Describe the geological and geographical conditions that set the stage for North
American history. In the geological aspect, the Native Americans that tended to the
land did not aggressively control the land leaving rich soil for the incoming
Europeans to later on control. But they also burnt down many trees to create living
spaces for the tribes. Geographically it was good for the Europeans because it was by
the water and all the rocks underneath the top layer of soil were rich for farming.
2) Describe the origin and development of the major Indian cultures of the Americas.
The Indian Tribes like the Aztecs and the Incas were very infamous for working the
fields, like taking care of corn and crops, which later reached the Southwest first and
later on North America. This led to the cultivation of beans and maize in the
southwest which inevitably started farming in America.
3) Explain the developments in Europe and Africa that led up to Columbia s voyage
to America. Because Spain and Portugal were rivals, they were always trying to out
beat each other. Since the Portuguese set up trading posts in Africa first, other
European countries started and later on Spain set up posts too. Because the
Portuguese didn t like taking water routes, it took them longer to get to India through
land to get spices and jewels. While this was happening, the Spanish people became
unified and seeing that they were now stronger, planned to outstrip their rivals of the

T-V-Pointer Experience
Firstly I would like to start off by mentioning I am an Engineer so my week was
different than the rest of my shipmates however, I think the trip was an invaluable
resource, especially as a senior, keeping my skills sharp for the merchant fleet I
will soon be joining. Every time I take a trip on the T/V Kings Pointer I am
impressed at how my shipmates and I are able to safely navigate and operate a
vessel. This is a true testament to the education we receive at the Academy and
during our time at Sea. With great weather, our time in Virginia was just as
impressive when pulling into Norfolk harbor. Seeing the stern of the USS
Wisconsin, as a relic of one of the greatest vessels our American Shipyards have
produced, was just icing on the cake compared to the Countless US Naval
destroyers and cruisers and aircraft carriers we passed while transiting the
Chesapeake bay and Elizabeth river. The best part of it all was seeing the US

In particular, I was able to put in to practice knowledge I learned about overhauling
pumps and working against a clock while trying to get the stern thruster in a capacity
where it could be used for DP operations. The maintenance task became more
challenging when things didn t go as planned, but as an engine department we
adapted to the situation and came up with a solution that was ultimately better than
the initial plan. The US Merchant Marine Academy is defiantly a unique experience
and it is not just for anyone. Trips like the ones that take place on the T/V Kings

Machiavellian Folly in The Prince Essay
Machiavellian Folly in The Prince
In the annals of history, many individuals have contributed great works of literature,
waxing philosophically on the meaning of life, death, and love. Niccolo Machiavelli
wrote not on love or life, but on power: How to capture it, how to consolidate it, and
how to defend it against all comers. His work has been talked about and dissected to
the extent that his subject matter and methods have earned their own moniker:
Machiavellian. Nonetheless, this great philosopher s works did not meet with
unanimous approval. His own student, Thomas Hobbes, presented a very different
account of politics. This essay offers a Hobbesian critique of some of Machiavelli s
arguments, focusing in and around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2 Humans, according to Machiavelli, are not the morally grounded beings the Bible
espouses them to be. He writes in The Prince: For one can say this generally of men:
that they are ungrateful, fickle, pretenders and dissemblers, evaders of danger,
eager for gain.3 Clearly, Machiavelli argues that man is precarious a being of
dubious morals and selfish desires. Hobbes agreed with this analysis, and took it
one step further. According to Hobbes, all mankind has a restless and perpetual
desire for power, which ceaseth only with death 4. Moreover, man can never be
satisfied with the power he has. Hobbes writes:
... [man] cannot assure the power and the means to live well, which he hath present,
without the acquisition of more [power].
Man s first need is to provide security for himself. Past experience and reason
dictate that he will do this by any means necessary even if it means killing
everyone around him. Critics argue that Hobbes and Machiavelli are too
pessimistic; but they would both beg to differ. To both Hobbes and Machiavelli,
Aristotelian virtue is a deception; it can never be reached. Men do not want to be
good; they want to lie, they want to cheat, and they want to kill. To expect otherwise
would be contrary to their hostile nature. To both Hobbes and Machiavelli, political
analysis must begin by identifying the human being for what he really is a self

Gfba Gene Essay
Effect of cultivation conditions and gfba gene on formation of biofilm by
Streptococcus dysgalactiae
Abstract
The pathogenesis of Streptococcus dysgalactiae is attributed to a combination of
extracellular factors and properties such as adherence and biofilm formation. The
aim of this work was to evaluate the influence of different factors, additives and
bovine milk compounds on S. dysgalactiae biofilm formation, as the presence of
the gfba gene by PCR. Additionally, extracellular DNA and the effect of DNaseI
were evaluated in the biofilms yielded. Optimal biofilm development was observed
when the pH was adjusted to 7.0 at 37 ВєC. Additives as glucose and lactose reduced
biofilm formation as bovine milk compounds tested. PCR assay showed ... Show

Treatment of the disease is currently based on antimicrobial susceptibility tests
according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) [5]. Standard therapy
designed for bacteria isolates at planktonic state continues to be applied. However,
the pathogenic profile and the antimicrobial resistance are totally different from
biofilms, causing reduced cure rates. Furthermore, the ability to form biofilm is
important both from the pathogenicity to the animal as for the manufacturing milk
industries, where the pathogen can adhere to abiotic food processing structures and
persist in adverse conditions through biofilms. The development and establishment of
the biofilm depend on the ability of pathogen to adhere to bovine mammary epithelial
cells. S. dysgalactiae have many virulence factors including the capacity to bind to
the host s cells surface by a protein called GFBA, which is involved in adherence and
internalization, by its linking to lactoferrin [6]. It was demonstrated that the S.
dysgalactiae isolated from mastitis cows was able to produce biofilm [7]. Economic
negative effects in the milk production around the world and the possible
involvement of biofilms in S. dysgalactiae mastitis infections, address the research to
the study of factors that may contribute for the biofilm production in order to
establish more effective treatment strategies. Different studies report that
environmental conditions influence the capacity to form biofilm in
Multicultural Society
Multicultural Society.
The retrospective view of human history shows that it has always been a moving and
mixing of peoples caused by different reasons. For centuries the intervention of
cultures grew reciprocally. As a result of this process people now have mixed cultures
and many intercultural conflicts. The United States is a great example of a pluralistic
society made up of many different cultures and nationalities. It is a nation that is
composed of people who came here from around the world. In the 20th century, after
new immigration laws were enforced, two opposing trends became obvious: the one
state that America is multicultural; the other claims that America is monoculture.

As well as Reed, Schlesinger describes America as a nation made up of different
cultures and ethnicities. We have always been a multiethnic country , writes the
author. He also traces back the creation and evolution of the American culture, and
estimates the present contradictory character of it. Both authors speak in unison
about the uniqueness of American culture. Schlesinger quotes the French author of
the 18th century who said: Here individuals of all nations are melted into a new race
of men. If Reed describes blurring of cultural styles in America as a cultural
bouillabaisse , Schlesinger names it The melting pot . Moreover, Schlesinger admits
the healthy consequences of new immigrations laws. He is against racism and
discrimination of minorities and salutes the recognition of achievements of those
groups, which were subordinated during the high noon of Anglo dominance.
Nevertheless, the author is threatened by the fact that dividing the country along
different cultures, idolizing of ethnicities, and welcoming group separatism will lead
to very bad consequences. Group separatism crystallizes the differences, magnifies
tensions, and intensifies hostilities. According to Schlesinger, America has always
been a country where many different cultures get along together without any serious
visible problems due to their assimilation to American culture, values, laws, customs,
and beliefs. Schlesinger conveys

Beckham s conversion from villain to hero happened in England s 2 2 draw
against Greece. Needing only one point from the match in order to qualify for the
World Cup, Beckham dragged an otherwise poor England side to qualification with
sheer determination and a perfectly executed, last minute free kick. Meanwhile,
taking the role of captain seems to have helped mature him, in both skill and
temperament. Beckham played in all England s matches at Euro 2004, but failed to
shine. He had his penalty saved by former Manchester United team mate Fabien
Barthez in his side s 2 1 defeat to France in their opening group game. Then, when
England s Quarter Final against hosts Portugal went to a penalty shootout, he was
the first England player to attempt a shot. Beckham fired his shot far over the
crossbar and England went on to lose the shoot out 6 5 after Englishman Darius
Vassell also missed. Beckham later blamed the miss on the poor state of the pitch, the

Why Is Shakespeare Still Used Today
Shakespeare: Why He s Still Studied Today
Shakespeare once wrote, To be, or not to be, that is the question. (Hamlet, 3. 1. 64).
This is to be considered one of Shakespeare s most famous and used quotes. Though
Shakespeare was alive and wrote many decades before our time, students are still
subjected to using his works. This leaves people with the question, why? William
Shakespeare s works are still used today due to his universal themes, uncanny ability
to take ideas and turn them into new and captivating wonders, and amazingly rich
language.
Whether or not you have read or watched one of the many fascinating works done
by Shakespeare, his name is everywhere, giving that students have contemplated at
least once or twice about this incredibly intelligent man. One of Shakespeare s most
famous plays would be the tragic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Though Romeo and

controversial themes. Critic Kelvin Odoobo states in his essay, Book Review:

Cloud Storage And Direct The Conversation Of Digital...
Digital preservation is key in enabling individuals to access, understand, and use
information (Meghini). There are many challenges facing digital preservation
including limited storage, policies, and cost. To meet these challenges, some have
proposed the incorporation of cloud storage in long term preservation plans; I
disagree. This essay seeks to highlight the weaknesses of cloud storage and direct the
conversation of digital preservation to more reliable means.
To begin with, the rate of creation of digital data far exceeds the storage available to
host it. Berman addresses this alarming trend by explaining that it is not possible to
store all of our digital data and that within the next decade, it is highly likely that as

Moreover, cloud storage provides the option to grant others access to your data for
viewing and editing, transforming your data into a group project. Cloud storage is
also beneficial in that it is a way to create backups of information. Should disaster
strike your computer system, the information you stored using cloud storage
would still survive off site. I can testify to the usefulness of cloud storage. While
working as a librarian assistant at a public library, I was introduced to the many
benefits of cloud computing and storage. It also comes in handy for the occasional
group project as a GSLIS student. How wonderful it is to easily access documents
and collaborative projects on the go, away from my desk, without need for
contacting my coworkers or fellow students for updates on what they each had
accomplished; it is all accessible wherever I have access to the Internet.
However, with the convenience of cloud storage come real risks. Cloud storage is
quite attractive, given the advantages previously stated, but there are still great
concerns, including reliability and security. Organizations relying on cloud
computing must ensure that the third party they ve entrusted to store their data can
guarantee that they can access their information at any time and that their information
is safe from the threat of hackers (Berman, 2008, p. ).

The Baroque Period Essay
Music reached its peak of success between the 17th and 18th century. This time period
is known as the Baroque period. Countless composers achieved immense success
during this point in history, two of the most famous being, Johann Bach and George
Frideric Handel. The first opera, oratorio, and cantata occurred during the Baroque
period. Amazingly, most of the instruments used during the period, remain in use
today. The Baroque period in music obviously played a tremendous role in the growth
of music through its numerous successful composers and various types of instruments.

After years of lessons, Handel attended Halle University. Simultaneous to his father
s death, Handel became a full time musician. Contributing significantly to the
musical world, he is considered to this day as one of the best organists of all time.
Over the course of his life, George Frideric Handel participated in over 50 operas,
dramatic oratorios, and orchestras.
The myriad of instruments used during the Baroque period are divided into four
groups: brass, keyboards, strings, and winds. Included in the brass group are
trumpets, horns, and sackbuts. The trumpet, originally made of bamboo or wood,
was replaced by a shorter version in 1300 and later fashioned into the shape of an S
in 1400. Continuing to evolve rapidly, the trumpet became formed, coiled into an
elongated loop in 1500 and could be constructed in both brass and silver. In 1820,
valves were added along the body of the trumpet, which changed the pitch of the
music it played. Orchestral, or French horns, were first developed in 1650 in France
and in the 1700s, the French hunting horn entered the orchestra. Like the trumpet,
valves were added to the horn in the early 18th century.
Although they are not the best known group of instruments, keyboards play a
prominent role in the orchestra. The keyboard group includes organs and
harpsichords. The organ is formulated of flue pipes, an air supply, and keys. Flue
pipes are made of either metal or wood, and act like a whistle for the organ. The air

The Laffer Curve, By Mark Koba
So, what exactly is the Laffer curve? According to The Laffer Curve:CNBC
Explains, by Mark Koba , The Laffer Curve is an economic tax theory that argues
that increasing tax rates beyond a specific point would prove to eventually be counter
productive to the economy as well as government revenue. The Laffer curve is a
special graph that depicts the relationship between a government s taxrate as a whole
as well as the number of tax revenue it receives. According to Laffer Curve Center s
article, the Laffer curve is one of the large theoretical constructs of the supply side
of economics. They also go deeper as to say that in simplicity, the Laffer Curve

The response to revenue to a tax rate change will be reflected on depending on what
the tax system is in place at that specific moment as well as the time period, the
movement of it inside the underground activities, the levels of tax rate that is already
in place, the prevalence of legal and accounting driven tax loopholes, and the
proclivities of the productive factor.
When analyzing the concepts of the Laffer Curve it is detrimental to understand all of
the aspects that make up the Laffer curve. When analyzing it is simple to point to the
idea that if there are no taxes, then there will be no income for the government
revenue. However, one question remains whenever the government decides to set a
high tax. What affect will this high tax have on the governments revenue? Naturally I
assumed that if the government took the action of implementing a higher tax in their
system, then this would mean that they would receive a higher a revenue from the
people. I was wrong in this sort of thinking, because this is generally not what
happens. I have come to find out through research from the article Exploring the
Laffer Curve: Behavioral Responses to TaxationBy: Samuel Kazman that whenever
the government sets a high tax on the people, the causes a sense of reluctance in
them to pay the taxes. No one is willing to give a large portion of their income to the
government, and if they were forced to then this would cause for them to
Thin Layer Chromatography Of Amino Acid
Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) of Amino Acids
Introduction:
Thin layer chromatography (TLC) separates compounds, through migration, from a
mixed solution with the assistance of a solvent and an absorbent strip of cellulose.
The purpose of this lab is to allow students to determine an unknown amino acid by
comparing results to six known amino acids (slowest to fastest: lysine, glycine,
alanine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, and leucine) and properly separate a combined
solution of amino acids using the TLC method. But to fully understand the lab, two
terms must be understood: amino acid and protein. Amino acids are building blocks of
proteins linked by peptide bonds that contain both carboxyl and amino functional
groups.
The six amino acids used in this experiment: ... Show more content on

Discussion:
Based on my results from Lanes 2 and 4, I predict Unknown T to contain both
lysine and glycine based on the slow reaction/movement the unknown experienced
once the solvent was introduced and the shortest distance it underwent. My
prediction was supported with the development of Lane 2. As I analyzed Lane 2, it
became obvious that the six Rf values represented the six known amino acids; the
lowest Rf value was lysine and the highest Rf value was leucine. Once the Rf
values for the unknown was calculated it was easy to identify the two amino acids
present in the unknown sample due to corresponding values in both lanes.
Although one value (Rf = 0.515) in Lane 4 did not completely match with the
second value (representing glycine) in Lane 2, I can conclude that the Rf value in
Lane 4 was still glycine because the values are similar and close in range, and Lane 1

What Is An Extended Metaphor Used In The Book Wild

While ,Cheryl Strayed s writing uses ad extended metaphor to represent her self
discovery in nature; Bill Bryson depends on using similes to describe his love for
nature and his experience on how he wants to becomes a mainly man ; since this is
the case, they try to portray their reasoning for going in the woods and going on
difficult trails. In Cheryl Strayed s book Wild, Strayed writes in the first person
about her reasoning for going into the wild. In the beginning, the author gives the
reader her present state. After she gives the reader a glimpse of her past life she
starts to uses an extended metaphor of how her life is compared to her present
state. Strayed has lost her boot, my boot was gone. Actually gone . The boot
represents her mother passing years before. Cheyl still has the other boot on, then
thosses it, I lifted it high and threw it will all my might . Her tossing the other boot
resembles her throwing her step father and siblings out of her life, which she did
after her mother s passing. Cheryl uses an extended metaphor to show how her past

In Bryson s story ,A Walk in the Woods Bryson uses similes, imagery and humor to
describe his reasoning of going in to the woods. A Walk in the Woods has a tone of
reverent which corresponds with his desire to venture into the woods. Bryson
compares the Appalachian Mountains to a grandfather, The AT is the granddaddy of
long hikes . By his comparison of the Appalachian Mountains to a grandfather gives
the reader that mountains to him was like a matriarch of a family that was the
foundation to all hikes that came after it. Another example of Bryson s use of similes
is when he compares himself to a cupcake , in other words a womanish man that has
never seen nature, I would no longer feel like a cupcake . Bryson uses all this

How Did Perseus Become King
Perseus, son of Zeus, destiny was not giving to him. Born In a chamber locked
away because Acrisius (his grandfather) was told Perseus would kill him. They
were kicked out the tower when Acrisius found out he was born, and put in a chest
to drift away at sea. Heres the summary on how young Perseus became king.
Perseus and his mother landed on the island of Seriphos, where Polydectes ruled.
His brother Dictys was a fisherman. He found the chest and freed them. By then
Perseus had grown up to be a strong young man. This is important because
Polydectes wanted to marry Danae (Perseus mother), but Perseus didn t allow it.
Because of these actions Perseus was banished until he could bring back the head of
Medusa. Therefore Perseus set
Symbolism In The Road
In The Road, carrying the fire heavily symbolizes a sense of humanity and hope
that both the man and the boy still have and are trying to keep in the world. Even
after experiencing the cruel new world, the man still has some sort of hope that
they will be able to remain civilized and moral. The boy himself really has the most
humanistic values because he really wants to help as many people as he can in the
new cruel world, even though his father disagrees most of the time. The fire
represents the power to avoid going to extreme and animalistic means to protect and
save yourself, which is especially the ones resorting to cannibalism. Especially
throughout the novel, the characters face many hardships, but they still try not
retaliate against the other survivors or each other in hopes to be able to have a
successful future in this new world. However, there was one time when the road

Further, the fire is also an area where they have sanctuary and campground, so when
the father and son were walking away from their campground on page 103 and felt
danger, they went back to the camp with the fire. The fire itself represents the
humanity that is slowly being lost due to this new world, but the man and the boy are
trying to keep it alive and facilitate an environment that it will be protected and safe.
They must keep together, even if something happens to one of them, to make sure
that the fire never goes out because once it does, humanity will be
Dinosaurs And Birds Essay
Dinosaurs and Birds
Are birds really dinosaurs or are they simply related? That is a question that has
gained new life in recent years due to the overwhelming facts the are pouring in
from newly found fossils and studies from fossils that have been found in the past.
Two groups have formed in the study of this question: those who believe birds are a
direct result of dinosaurs and those who feel dinosaurs and birds must have had a
common ancestor. Determining which view is correct is a matter of opinion based
on fact. The main problem involves the use of cladistics or phylogenetic systematics
to group organisms according to characteristics they share. When one looks at
dinosaur fossils, he or she may feel that certain ... Show more content on

Also, support is gaining that Archaeopteryx was not in fact the first bird, but instead
a descendent of an earlier bird ancestor that had developed along a different pathway
and actually represents an evolutionary dead end.
Two opponents of the birds are dinosaurs theory are Alan Feduccia of the
University of North Carolina and Larry Martin of the University of Kansas. They
believe that birds evolved from some unknown reptile from a time before dinosaurs
came to be. One point they make is that flight must have begun from tree climbing
or an arboreal ancestor but that all the proposed dinosaurian ancestors were ground
dwellers or cursorial On the other side, supporters for the birds are dinosaurs theory
feel there is an unknown dinosaur bird that was arboreal, or simply that birds evolved
flight from the ground by chasing after insects.
In recent years other fossil finds have stirred the argument even more. One of these
is the fossil named Sinosauroptyrex found in China. It appears to be an important
link between birds and dinosaurs. Sinosauropteryx appears to be a feathered
dinosaur having a mane of feathers along its neck, back, and tail a feature until then
seen only in birds. Sinosauroptyrex appears before Archaeopteryx and gives a
substantial link between the theropods and birds. One opponent of this find is Martin

Nitroglycerine Benefits
While the Civil War was a horrid act, it turns out it had some benefits. For example,
after it ended, new markets sprouted from the materials used in the war, which
allowed factories to be the most productive than ever before. But amidst all the
productions, many inventions were either already being created or were on the verge
of being finished. One of the most important developments was the Transcontinental
Railroad, created in the last third of the nineteenth century because it was a
development that led to much improvement and evolution in the world. But also,
other important developments such as nitroglycerine, which greatly contributed in
helping the TC Railroad work, and barbed wire, which also helped later in history.
Nitroglycerine is a dense, oily liquid explosive that contributed greatly in making the

Summertime Maintenance Flow Analysis
Summertime can be a great time to drive a vehicle. You aren t generally forced to
navigate your way through harsh weather conditions, such as the snow and ice of
winter. You may have vacation time scheduled, and you might wish to spend that
time taking a summer road trip. Taking your WRX in for a summer maintenance
check could enable you to get the most from your vehicle. When you have access to a
local, dependable repair shop in Abbotsford, you can have your car serviced
periodically and avoid costly repairs. The following are a few of the top reasons for
scheduling a summertime maintenance check for your Subaru WRX.
The Brakes May Require Repairs
If your brakes need to be repaired, you should have this done as soon as possible.

They may be used often in the fall, winter, and spring, so summer is an ideal time to
have them replaced. Summer rains can be powerful, and you will need to ensure that
the windshield wipers on your vehicle are in good shape.
The Engine Might Require Basic Maintenance
Having a technician perform some basic engine maintenance for summer is
probably a wise strategy. Certain filters may need to be replaced, such as the fuel
and air filters. The oil should also be filled or changed, so the engine runs smoothly
when you re on a summer road trip. The oil filter must be replaced periodically; this
will allow the engine to breathe and help to prevent it from overheating.
Once you understand the reasons to schedule summer vehicle maintenance, you may

Universal Intellectual Essay
Deciphering the Differences Between Universal and Specific Intellectuals
It is said that a Universal Intellectual is a person who has a worldly view. Having an
opinion on information they believe they possess may be correct but here s this
thing even if they are correct hundred percent of the way, they are a universal
intellectual so they have the want to be involved in every topic and be able to express
their opinion in every topic, because that is what truly interests them.everything and
everyone, believing that they can give analytical information to anyone on any
subject. While a Specific Intellectual has precise information and expertise on one
individual thing, providing their main knowledge and stay completely out of topics
that a universal intellectual would dive straight into.
My definition of a universal intellectual is someone who believes that they know
everything, they talk about and when they do talk they don t stop until you
understand that their information is truly correct. Linder elder says from The Critical
Thinking Community Universal intellectual standards are standards which must be
applied to thinking whenever one is interested in checking the quality of reasoning
about a problem, issue, or situation. For example, if you have an opinion on
something and you are having a discussion about said topic, then that person is going
to step into that conversation and possibly correct you or give their own in depth
detail on that topic because they know
Evolution Of Nanoscale Science And Technology
In the last twenty years Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies have become more
significant and have found a lot of applications in many aspects; the synthesis making
nanostructured materials with helpful and tunable properties is central to the
evolution of nanoscale science and technology. Nanometre scale metal particles
exhibit optical, electronic, magnetic and chemical properties which have wonderful
technological and scholar value. Among them silver, copper, and gold nanoparticles
(NP) offer powerful adsorption bands (Localised Surface Plasmon Resonance, LSPR)
in the visual spectrum. The frequency of the LSPR is mightily dependent on
various properties of the NP. The optical properties of metal NP are mightily
affected by their composition, shape, size, and concerning climate, like the
closeness of other particles. These nano particles, in a collective surround the core,
will do a shell. Metal nanoshells have shown formidable troth for systematic
engineering of SPR. These are composite nanoparticles that make of a dielectric
core covered with a few nanometers to a little tens of nanometers of a metal,
ordinarily gold or silver. The SPR of these nanoparticles may be alteration over
hundreds of nanometers in wavelength, across the visible and into the infrared region
of the electromagnetic spectrum by the relative dimensions of the core and the shell.
Firstly, the fabricated unclosed nanoshell composite SiO2@ Au Cu was made by
chemical methods for different cases.
Examples Of Josephus Problem
The next base the essay will explore is base 3 also known as ternary, this is the base
that was used in the original Josephus problem. By exploring this base and a few
more bases, I will find a pattern and derive an equation to solve Josephus problem
with any number of people in any number base.
Josephus problem in base 3 is when each person kills the person who sits two seats

Applying the equation to Josephus problem, to find we have to find as . We know
how to solve as there are only 2 people and starts meaning he has to skip and
therefore dies first and wins. Now we know that , we can see from the table above
the answer is correct however we have to do it once more to find .
We can always consider position and we have to repeat the equation until getting to
the required number. This solution can be very frustrating as you must do the same
thing over and over, however it can be programmed very easily and save a lot of time.
This method is the third and the last method to solve the Josephus problem, it is the
most useful method as it works for all bases however it is the most complicated one.
In order to compare between this method and the other two methods, we first have to
write the equation in base
Christian Building Codes Book Report
This story makes a lot of sense to people who live in the Caribbean or other storms
and hurricanes prone countries. The governments of these countries insist that
houses and other buildings are not erected in low lying or flood prone areas. There
are also strict building codes that must be adhered to. People neglect these
warnings at their own peril, for it is certain that in spite of how long it might take,
the hurricanes are sure come. They will test the buildings and only those that were
properly built, that is, only those that adhere to the codes will survive. The same is
true of our spiritual lives, we all live in spiritual hurricane prone areas and as such

Breastfeeding Benefits
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) breastfeeding and human
milk have long been concluded as the standard for infant nutrition (Eidelman
Schanler, 2012). There is a disparity on whether mothers should exclusively
breastfeed or bottle feed. This review will further discuss the costs and benefits of
breastfeedingwhen compared to bottle feeding. Additionally, it will examine the
effects on mother infantbonding.
Infants who are not breastfed result in an increased risk for Otitis Media, respiratory

many others (Eidelman Schanler, 2012; Stuebe1 Bonuck, 2011). Mothers also face

effects on infant and mother health (Jansen, de Weerth, Riksen Walraven). In three
studies reviewed by Jarno Jansen, Carolina de Weerth, and J. Marianne Riksen

however there were no significant differences between breast and bottle feeding
mothers, and no relationship between breastfeeding and infant attachment (2008).
Scientific research does not support the general consensus that breast feeding has
positive effect on the infant mother relationship (Jansen, de Weerth, Riksen
Walraven). However there, are numerous instances that have been documented on
positive effect of breastfeeding, these should be taken into account when deciding on
whether to exclusively breastfeed (Jansen, de Weerth,

The Purpose Of My Research Conducted For This Paper

The purpose of my research conducted for this paper was to examine the relationship
between Parkinson s disorder and its connection to the anatomy of the human body.
Parkinson s is a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement due
to the loss of Dopamine. Dopamine which is a neurotransmitter located in the brain
allows signals to be transported from one nerve cell to another. Its purpose is to
regulate both movement and cognition. The loss of these chemical messengers can
cause both stiffness of the body and tremors, which are two common effects of
Parkinson s. Throughout this paper I will include more information gained through
my research of the disease and its relationship to the human body.... Show more

Several decades after the publishing of An Essay on the Shaking Palsy Charcot took
it upon himself to conduct research of his own. Known as The Father of Neurology
Charcot differentiated tremors found in Parkinson s disease with those of patients
with multiple sclerosis (Aslinia, Kumar, Mazza, 2011). After his findings he found it
necessary to pay homage to the first physician who originally brought recognition to
this disorder. Naming the disease maladie de Parkinson which in English means
Parkinson Disease .
What exactly is Parkinson s? Known commonly as a movement disorder. It affects
movement, muscle control, and balance. It is the second most common progressive
neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer s disease, and the second most prevalent
and disabling condition in the expanding elderly population (Mikkelsen,Stinson,
2011, pg xix). For those that aren t aware what neurodegenerative means it s simply
the loss of nerve cells. Nerve cells which are also known as neurons are located in
the nervous system. Neurons are broken down into three different types. They are
sensory (receptor), motor (effector), and interneurons (connector). Each one of these
neurons plays a different role in the nervous system. The purpose of neurons is to
receive incoming information and in return send signals to other neurons, muscles or
glands. Neurons are made up of three parts. First the cell body which controls the

The Price Of The Penny
The Penny is essentially a vital part of our money system. There has been many
speculation about whether or not the United States should abolish the penny from
being minted any longer. Although the penny has been a part of the American
culture since 1787, it has such a small value, it will always be a part of American
history. So as the years go on we should realize that the penny is everything to the
United States. The penny should not be eliminated from the money system due to the
fact that it is a part of the American culture and has earned its respect over the years.
In America, there is still a debate if the penny should be eliminated. If it was to be
eliminated it would still be used, but in a minimal way. In Canada, the Canadian
penny was eliminated due to cost, time, and the country believed it was a waste of
money, inflation reduced its purchasing power by 95% since it was first minted
domestically in 1908: back then the cent could buy goods of the cost of $0.20, today
in other words. (The Economist). Once a small coin can no longer be used to buy
individual items at that price, but it is only used to make change, it becomes more
trouble than it is worth. Canadian pennies cost 1.6 Canadian cents to manufacture,
and the government expected to save $11 million a year by eliminating them (The
Economist). But that sum equivalent to 0.0006% of GDP is small change. Canadians
feel that eliminating pennies is that their feeble purchasing power means dealing with

Plato Dualism
Dualism is the division of two entities. However, in the case of philosophy, dualism
is expanded upon this definition and is focused on the separation of the mind and the
body. There are several different types of dualism that deal with the mind and body.
There are substance dualists and property dualists and within these different types of
dualism, there are more subcategories within them. For instance, in the substance
dualism, there are interactionists, occasionalists, parallelists, and epiphenomenalists.
All of these subcategories believe that the mindis not the same as the brain and that
the mind is not a creation of the brain. Plato and Descartes believed in these two
common features of dualism as well. Although they had similar approaches... Show

Descartes used Leibniz s Law of Identity to prove that the mind and the body are
considered to be different because they didn t have the same properties. The
Leibniz s Law of Identity states that if two articles have identical properties, then
the articles must be identical. The same can be said if the articles were not
identical. Descartes had used the property of divisibility to illustrate the difference
between the body and the mind. For instance, when one loses an arm, it is
theoretically possible for the rest of the body to still exist. However, divisibility is
difficult to use when it comes to the mind. For instance, it is impossible for
someone to feel half depressed. The mind cannot be divided up like how a body
can. Another property that is different between the mind and the body is the ability
to take up space. Since the body has the capacity to take up volume and a mind does
not have this capacity, they are considered to have different property. Thus, the
differences allow the mind and body to be separate
The Importance Of Restorative Justice
Last year in Chicago, there were nearly 800 homicides that took place throughout the
city and that is just Chicago alone! Imagine what the numbers would be like if you
added up all the homicides that took place in each state throughout the United States.
It would be outrageous and that would only be for our 50 states, it does not include
other countries around our world. Crimerates are skyrocketing and something needs to
be done. For some of these offenders, receiving a harsh punishmentand being put in
jail makes them realize what they have done and makes them want to better
themselves once they get out. On the other hand, other offenders serve their time, get
released, and go right back to their old ways, the ways that put them in jail in the first
place. Punishment does not seem to work for everyone; therefore a new approach
must be put into action, this approach being restorative justice. Restorative justice is

Restorative justice can take place in places such as police stations, courtrooms, and
prisons. Many of the restorative justice programs take place in prisons because it
relates to the victim offender relationship. I believe a good place for restorative
justice within the criminal justice system is in prisons because the prisoners have
nothing else to do so it is a good time for them to focus on that practice and keep
busy because there is much time to be dedicated to mending their offender (RJ in the
Criminal Justice System). But an even better process for restorative practice would
be outside of the criminal justice system in places such as schools, workplaces, faith
communities, families, and communities. Being somewhere outside of the criminal
justice system gives the victim and offender more privacy and makes them feel more
comfortable which can help a lot when expressing and coping with their

flammable gas with no smell as well as being under high pressure and it extracts
natural materials. Carbon dioxide appertains many benedictions to the world. Carbon
dioxidecontains many prosperities due to the increase in the quantity of food for the
human consumption and the rising atmospheric Co2 concentration increases the
quality of the food we eat. Co2, known as carbon dioxide also increases the quality
and potency of many substances found in tissues such as vitamin C concentration,

When the frequency of the IR(infrared) is the same as the vibrational frequency of a
bond or collection of bonds, absorption occurs. This is what an example of an IR
spectrum does once it s put to action
This IR spectrum sets forts wave numbers in the X axis and the transmittance at the Y
axis. This spectrum elucidates the gap in the wavenumbers of the absorptions in the
transmittance in addition to the wavelengths of the infrared light. As you can see the
peak at 2300 to 2400 in the IR spectrum indicates the relation of the carbon double
bonded oxygen. The overall cause of Co2 is that it can be very harmful for global
warming. The solution for this problem is to use green electricity, make energy use
efficiency, use electricity satisfactorily at home, recycle and have public transport.

the negative substances Co2 creates and increase the use of Co2 in a more positive

Cons Of Keeping Exotic Pets
One of the main problems in settling this debate is the variable definition of exotic
pets . By the strict definition, even non native animals that are bred locally and
legally, and not taken from their natural environment, are exotic . Similarly, while the
term exotic animals usually sets alarm bells ringing, not all exotic animals are a threat
to society. Pythons and chimpanzees, primarily, are the culprits in petattacks, and such
animals are obviously dangerous, but the extremely harmless and positively cute
sugar gliders and crested geckos are not even dangerous for infants, let alone adult,
sensible pet owners.
Albeit there are such confusions, here are some points about the pros and cons of
keeping exotic pets.

Apollo 13 Leadership Essay
Apollo 13 and Leadership
On April 10th James Jim Lovell, John L. Swigert, and Fred W. Haise embarked on
one of the most historic missions in NASA history. Three days later on April 13th,
while performing a routine stir on the O2 tanks, the Apollo 13 mission suffered a
terrible electrical malfunction and was forced to make an emergency return mission.
The movie has forever contributed two phrases to our everyday cultural vocabulary,
Houston we have a problem , communicated by Jim Lovell, and Failure is not an
option , voiced by Gene Kranz.
A Leader
Gene Kranz, the legendary flight controller for NASA during the Apollo 13mission
motivated his team and executed careful planning, extraordinary leadership skills,
and also was able to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Key Theory
Many traits seem to be synonymous with leadership such as intelligence,
personality, supervisor ability, etc. However, managers and true leaders support
their decisions and realize that there is no exact step by step process to the answer.
To compare with the Vroom Jago Leadership model Gene utilized most of his
decisions Group decision styles (the group makes the decision; you as the leader are
just another team member). Group (G) decisions were made throughout the film,
acted equally alongside his co workers in working the problem by helping calculate
trajectories and formulate solutions. Also, the Path Goal model was visually
displayed when Gene came up to the chalkboard, drew the course for the Apollo 13
crew from the moon s atmosphere back to earth.
Successful Leadership
Successful leadership was realized after Gene Kranz and the Houston controlled was
informed of the explosion on the Apollo spacecraft. At this point in the film he begins
his journey into transformational leadership. Through intellectual stimulation he
helps his team rethink rational ways oxygen can be saved using items available on
the spacecraft. Also, he reminds them of the contingent reward by reminding each
team member of the goal to save the astronauts lives and take control of the situation
by mapping out what must be done to receive the outcome they desire.
Key Decision One of the most key and important decisions in the film is when Gene
makes the call on
Respiratory Diseases
Respiratory diseases can be classified in many different ways; by the organ involved,
by the pattern of symptoms or by the cause of the disease (Barron, 2009). Disorders
of the respiratory system can be classified into four general areas:
Restrictive conditions (fibrosis, sarcoidosis, alveolar damage, pleural effusion)
Vascular diseases ( pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension)
Infectious, environmental and other diseases ( pneumonia, tuberculosis, asbestosis,
particulate pollutants): Coughing is very important, because it is the body s main
method to remove dust, mucus, saliva, and other debris from the lungs. If unable to
cough can lead to infection. Smoking cigarettes and second hand smoke are the

How are infections of upper respiratory tract different from those of lower respiratory
tract?
The main difference is the location of the infection. An upper respiratory tract
infection would include infection of the nose, nasal cavity, nasal and paranasal
sinuses, the larynx and pharynex. A lower respiratory infection would include
infection of the traches, bronchi, or bronchial tree, the lungs or pleural cavitiy.
Why are infections of the upper respiratory tract milder as compared to those
pertaining to the lower respiratory tract?
Lower rspiratory tract infections have secretions low down that can block the airways
and prevent sufficient oxygen being available to the lungs (Health Blurbs, 2015).
. Upper respriatory tract infections aren t so bad because if your nose is blocked you
can breathe through your mouth , so oxygen availability isn t much of an issue.
Describe the curative methods for each of upper and lower respiratory tract infections
Treatment for an upper respiratory tract infection may include rest, increased fluid
intake, over the counter medications to manage the symptoms, vitamin C, zinc,
echinacea and nasal spray (Health Blurbs, 2015). Treatment for a lower respiratory
tract infection may include increased fluid intake, NSAIDs, antibiotics and over the
counter
Jacey Observation
I recently had the opportunity to observe a 33 month old boy named Jacey in our
church nursery. On this particular Sunday we had several families unable to
attend worship service due to a nasty virus that has been going through our
community, so Jacey was the only child in the nursery during my observation. I
quickly learned that this little guy is full of energy and excitement, and also a
little bit of attitude, with sticky fingers and rosy cheeks! It was clear to see that he
is an adventure seeker as he explored his surroundings with eyes that appeared to be
thoughtful as his curious little mind absorbed every single inflection of the words
spoken by those who interacted with him and all of this is what I observed within
just the first five minutes of my time spent with Jacey. Over the course of the hour
there would be squeals of joy, rambunctious play, silly faces made, as well as times
of crossed arms and feet stomping in frustration. Life as a two... Show more content

He simply observed her at first, as she suggested different ways to build and play
with the blocks, using the method of guided participation (Martorell, et al., 2014)
to help Jacey feel comfortable and really settle in and begin to play. Eventually,
Jacey did begin to play alongside her, building different designs with the blocks.
This type of play, with building patterns and intention, is what our text book would
call constructive play (Martorell, et al., 2014). As Jacey played, his excitement
grew over what he was creating and every now and then he would speak to his
caregiver and show her what he was doing. His sentences followed the rules for
syntax speech as he put together sentences that made sense (Martorell, et al., 2014).
Not to be too committed with his attention, Jacey would randomly get up and run
about the room he definitely had too much energy to sit still very long and just play

The Reign of Terror
The Reign of Terror was a time during the French Revolution hundreds of thousands
of people were executed by various means: guillotine, shot, and drowned. The
Committee of Public Safety, lead by Maximilien de Robespierre, were in charge of
these executions, and with the job of finding anti revolutionaries forces. Many
thought that what Robespierre was doing would just lead to a greater anti revolution
movement, which would in turn increase the number of executions. Others did not
take action against the terror; for fear that they themselves might be executed.
Those who were still loyal to the revolution saw the terror as a noble cause; they saw
it as a way to rid France of anti revolutionary forces. While the terror started as an...

As said by the British Prime Minster, William Pitt, the French people are urged into
the field by the fear of the guillotine. Most often the people would join the
revolutionary army just to escape the wrath of the army (Doc14). Charles James
Fox, A member of parliament and a sympathizer of the revolution, the leaders of the
French people were guilty of such unheard of crimes and cruelties. The other
countries were even able to recognize how the terror was nothing more than a way to
fear the people into following the revolutionaries commands (Doc13). Louis Antoine,
in a speech to the National Convention, talked about how the French peoples greatest
mistake was thinking that concentration authority would save the state. He thought
this was a mistake; because, the concentration of the authority lead to even more
chaos within the terror (Doc5). Many did think that the revolutionaries in charge of
the trials for anti revolutionary cases were much disorganized and in disarray, as
seen in this picture by an unknown artist who; most likely disagreed with the terror.
The artist depicts a scene where a revolutionary committee is deliberating were or
not a person is guilty. In the painting, you see many different uniforms for the people,
no one is looking in the same direction, dogs are running around the room and the

Disadvantages Of Costas
Spain is the fourth largest country in Europe and due to its extensive Mediterranean
coastline and mild climate, it offers the discerning tourist a wide variety of resorts
that are guaranteed to please. There is something for everyone, whatever their
specific holiday requirements, but sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts alike
are well catered for. Due to the availability of cheap flights and holiday packages, and
an average of two to three hours flight duration from most northern European airports,
Spaincontinues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations on the planet.
Apart from the Costa Verde (Green Coast), the Costa Vasca in northern Spain, and
The Costa Galicia in the north west, the most popular Spanish coastal resorts for sun
seekers continue along the entire east coast of mainland Spain, stretching from the
French to the Portuguese border. Virtually any of these resorts will be ideal for beach
based holidays, although some are more popular than others depending on proximity
to the regional airport. Originally fishing communities, these areas now derive their
main livelihood from tourism. The Spanish Costas (meaning coasts) often merge into
one another in areas that are highly developed. Going from north to south here is a
brief introduction.
By flying to Girona airport in Catalonia, or Barcelona, beach lovers can discover
many sheltered coves ideal for sunbathing and swimming which have largely
maintained their original character throughout the decades of being a popular
package holiday destination. However, those who desire sandy beaches rather than
pebbly ones may be disappointed. This is the Costa nearest to southern France.
The premier resorts of Lloret de Mar and its quieter neighbour, Tossa del Mar are
located here, Lloret offers great night life to the young and lively set as well as
quality beach time during daylight hours. Amazingly intact medieval castles are
typical of this region so there is plenty to discover for those in search of history and
cultural enrichment. Barcelona is also easily reached if a day trip to the city is
something you wish to do as a change from a day on the beach. Here you can spend a
day discovering the famous Sagrada Familia which is one of the
Presentism In Thomas Jefferson
The United States, a developing nation, remained under the influence of idealism
and paradox for a period of time, and thus were incapable of being self sufficient
enough to run a country on their own. They relied on England to protect them and
practically run the colonies from overseas. Subsequently, America joined the family
of nations that preaches men are created to be equal. This notion is expressed in
Thomas Jeffersons Declaration of Independence. Though in the past Jefferson was
seen as the greatest founder of the United States, today his more unknown attributes
in the nation have come to be a topic of discussion, making a debatable
conversation about the concept of presentism arise. Today, Thomas Jefferson is
examined and evaluated from many different perspectives of his career during his
lifetime in both adequate and deficient aspects, arousing the question if founding
fathers, like Jefferson, should be remembered for their highest achievements, or for
their individual failures and how the concept of presentism disarrays these
outlooks. Born in 1743, Thomas Jefferson lived and breathed an age of slavery in
America, which greatly impacted his life choices. The question, How could this
man possess such a number of slaves if he himself was working for a nation of
abolishment? arises due to the concept today of presentism. Presentism is defined as
having an opinion of the past which is heavily influenced by the attitudes and
experiences of the present day. Hence,
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Lifi
Introduction:
Modern age is the age of technology and in this era data communication has become
pervasive in every field of life. It has changed the way we live. Advancements in
technology made the communication more efficient, by carrying more and faster
signals. The transmission media plays an important role in efficient communication
and the technologies used for transmission advanced from wired to wireless.
LiFi is one such advanced wireless communication technology which uses LED s
as a medium of data transmission. LiFi technology was developed by a team of
scientists including Dr Mostafa Afgani, Dr Gordon povey and Prof. Harald Hass at
University of Edinburgh. The term LiFi was coined by Professor Harald Hass which
stands for Light Fidelity. Haas introduced this technology in his TED GLOBAL Talk
on Visible Light Communication in 2011. It will not be... Show more content on

Energy Saving/effiency: In todays Wireless communication a large amount of energy
is spent on the infrastructure and its maintenance than on the data transmission, e.g
lot of energy is used to cool down the base stations whereas you just need 60 watt
simple LED bulb that can act as an access point.
Limitations of lifi
1.The main disadvantage of lifi is that the light can t pass through objects, so if
there is any object or any wall in between sender and receiver the signal will break at
once.
2.Interference from external sources of light like sunlight, bulbs, and opaque
materials will cause disturbance in the transmission of light.
3.Wifi and radio frequency will be still needed in the remote areas where tree and
wall will act as obstacle.
4.VLC system has high initial installation cost ,but once it is implemented at large
scale the cost can be reduced by its less operating costs like electricity bills, less
maintenance charges and fewer operational
Vascular Endothelial Development

Western blot investigation affirmed the vicinity of mRNA and protein for VEGF,

The Great Lawsuit by Margaret Fuller Essay
The Great Lawsuit
Throughout the centuries there have been many groups pursuing equal rights for
themselves. These groups feel that they are excluded from privileges others possess
and are subject to injustices that others are not. These groups feel they deserve
better and that their presence in the world is unequal to others . In the United States
a large percentage of women started to feel they warranted equal rights to men.
Margaret Fuller was among the supporters of the movement and published ground
breaking article called The Great Lawsuit. In The Great Lawsuit , Margaret Fuller
tries to stop the great inequalities between men and women by describing great
marriages where the husband and wife are equal, by stating how society ... Show

Furthermore, the society believes that no married woman can represent the female
world, for she belongs to her husband (747). In this passage, Fuller explains how
society feels that the woman is the unequal property of the husband, as she can no
longer represent females. She views this as a huge inequality because she feels in a
marriage no partner should have more power over the other, much less consider them
property. Ultimately, Margaret Fuller tries to stop the inequalities within society by
describes the various rights that society tries to keep women from obtaining.
Despite revealing the inequality in society for women, Margaret tries to put an end to
the inequality between men and women by describing marriages where both partners
are mutually respected. For example, she feels that the ideal marriage is one of
mutual esteem, mutual dependence. Their talk is of business, their affection shows
itself by practical kindness (739). Fuller believes that mutual esteem and mutual
dependence lead to a relationship of equality between a man and woman. She also
believes that the couple must not only have mutuality but affection in order to
maintain equality. In addition, she feels marriages of mutuality and mutuality and
affection meet mind to mind, and a mutual trust is excited, which can buckler them
against a million (742). The author uses this passage to show that
African American Slaves In The Caribbean In 1789
In 1789 Saint Domingue produced 60% of the world s coffee and 40% of the world
s sugar imported by France and Britain. The colony was the most profitable
possession of the French Empire. Saint Domingue was also the wealthiest and most
prosperous colony, for the plantation owners at least, of all the colonies in the
Caribbean.
In 1789, whites numbered 32,000; mulattoes and free blacks, 28,000; and dark
slaves, an expected 452,000. The most reduced class of society was oppressed
blacks, who dwarfed whites and free non white individuals by an edge of ten to
one. The slave populace on the island totaled portion of the one million slaves in
the Caribbean by 1789. 66% were African conceived, and they had a tendency to be
less tame than those conceived in the Americas. The passing rate in the Caribbean
surpassed the conception rate, so imports of subjugated Africans were important to
keep up the numbers required to work the estates. The slave populace declined at a
yearly rate of two to five percent, because of workaholic behavior, lacking
nourishment and sanctuary, deficient dress and medicinal consideration, and an
irregularity between the genders, with a greater number of men than ladies. A few
slaves were of a creole exclusive class of urban slaves and domestics, who filled in as
cooks, individual workers and artisans ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Around that time, colonial legislations, concerned with this growing and
strengthening population, passed discriminatory laws that visibly differentiated
these freedmen by dictating their clothing and where they could live. These laws
also barred them from occupying many public offices. Many of these freedmen
were also artisans and overseers, or domestic servants in the plantation houses. Le
Cap Français, a northern port, had a large population of freed slaves, and these
men would later become important leaders in the 1791 slave rebellion and later
Aztec Advancement to Herbal Medicine
The Aztecs made great advances in many areas. One of their accomplishments was
herbal medicine. Aztec medicine was based on two areas which are spiritual healing
and herbal healing. Many of the illnesses that affected the Aztecs were caused to
religious reasons: an angry god, bad birth signs, or something to that effect. The first
step of treating an illness was a prayer and/or sometimes animal sacrifices. After that,
herbal medicine would be used. Today, many herbal medicines can be found in
Central America. The Aztecs knew how herbal medicines would work. They
concentrated on finding out what herbal medicine could do. The Aztecs also
concentrated on curing the symptoms of an illness than finding the cause of the
illness. They believed that if a god gave a person an illness, they cannot anything to
cure that patient. According to Azteclegends, Well, if the gods want this man to
suffer, they can make my herbs powerless. If the medicine works, it means that the
gods wish for the patient to be relieved. This statement was used to make herbal
medicine useful. The Aztecs used leeches to help patients to ease their pain. The
Aztecs developed a writing system in which they used pictographs. Pictographs were
simple pictures that were used as a form of writing. With pictographs, they wrote
many codices. The codices were a book or manuscript (written documents). The
codices talked about ceremonies, the ritual calendar, and information about the gods
and the universe. These

  • 1. Critical Thinking Essay Example Writing an essay on the subject of critical thinking is, without a doubt, a challenging endeavor. It requires a deep understanding of the concept itself, as well as the ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information effectively. Critical thinking involves questioning assumptions, considering multiple perspectives, and arriving at well-reasoned conclusions. One of the primary difficulties lies in the nuanced nature of critical thinking. It's not merely about expressing personal opinions but rather about presenting a well-structured argument supported by evidence. This necessitates extensive research and a comprehensive grasp of the topic at hand. Moreover, the essay should reflect the ability to think critically about the information gathered and communicate those thoughts coherently. Another challenge is the need for clarity and conciseness. Crafting a critical thinking essay requires the writer to articulate complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner. Striking the right balance between depth of analysis and simplicity of expression is a delicate task that demands careful consideration. Additionally, the essay should avoid fallacious reasoning and logical pitfalls. Identifying and addressing potential biases in one's thinking, as well as acknowledging counterarguments, adds an extra layer of difficulty. It demands intellectual honesty and a willingness to engage with opposing viewpoints, making the writing process both demanding and intellectually stimulating. In conclusion, composing a critical thinking essay is no easy feat. It requires a blend of research skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication. However, the rewards lie in the development of a sharper intellect and a more nuanced understanding of complex issues. If you find yourself struggling with such tasks, there are resources available. • 3. Seahorse Description The vibrant colors of underwater fish and othercolorful sea elements enhance the beauty of sea environments. There are more than 30 different kinds of seahorses. Their charming formbeauty and beautyforms make them an inspiring subject yet challenging to paint. One of favorite habitat of seahorses is seagrass. For my first project, a yellowish brown seahorse against a blue underwater background comes to my mind. I want to add colorful seagrass alongside the seahorse rather than plain green seagrass. The goal is to capture the texture and rhythm of the underwater environment. Palette : ultramarine blue, thalo blue, thalo green, magenta, new gamboge, quinacridone gold, indigo, burnt sienna, purple, opaque white 1. Before I start my drawing on my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I mask out the seahorse to protect it from the wet wash of seagrass and the second wash of the underwater background. I apply the masking fluid to the seahorse thickly and carefully as I would paint it. While the masking fluid dries, I prepare a pool of ultramarine, thalo blue, thalo green, new gamboge, quinacridone gold, magenta and indigo. I wet each seagrass with clean water and then mingle two or three colors I prepare. I drop one color after another and allow them to blend together. I repeat the process for the other seagrass, changing colors as I work. To add an interesting texture, I lift out some wet colors with a face tissue. I let the washes dry. 4. I decide to mask all seagrass before applying the second wash of the underwater background. Using a 2 wash brush, I wet the entire paper again carefully, trying not to disturb the initial wash. I apply new gamboge first at the left side and bottom corner, then move into other water areas. I continue dropping in thalo blue and ultramarine blue wet in wet. For areas where the main elements are overlapped, I drop in thick and dark indigo to make them stand out more. Before the wash dries, I add more salt and rubbing alcohol to the left side of the
  • 4. The Path Between the Seas Book Report Essay Lulu Stevens HST 143 Dr. Quirk 10/26/14The Path Between the Seas By: David Mccullough David McCullough s The Path Between Seas was printed in New York City, New York in the year 1977. The events regarding the Panama Canal as discussed in David McCullough s The Path Between Seas allowed an impressive assertion of American power the likes of which had never before been displayed. In it s rich history, this novel offers recollections of failure on France s part, American strength overcoming Columbian resistance, and triumphant success of medical care and engineering. During the late 1800s, France was an undeniable force in the engineering world. It would turn out, however, that America was the country which would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As it would turn out, the French didn t exactly accomplish what they had hoped. A major loss in funds due to gross misuse and bribery and large casualties rendered the project a total bust. Many of the early deaths were of the brightest engineering graduates of the time. Exaggerated claims of false progress kept the money flowing into the project, but before long the fraud was exposed. Only two fifths of the canal had been dug after the French spent 2 years longer than they d intended digging. De Lesseps s reputation was destroyed; all assets the French had gathered were sold to the Americans for a measly $40 million. America unlike their predecessors in the task would learn from prior mistakes and have much better luck with this undertaking, eventually accomplishing the task. America would even defeat Columbian resistance and assist in developing a new country. After settling the close debate as to where the American s wished to build their canal and purchasing the area under the 1903 Hay Herran treaty, the U.S. needed only permission to unearth the ground. Colombia wasn t too fond of the idea and thus rejected all of America s efforts. Negotiations with the country went quite poorly as well. Arthur BeauprГ© was chose to communicate with Colombia but negotiations continued to go poorly as, he was frequently blunt, even dictatorial, in his
  • 5. The Geological And Geographical Conditions That Set The... Chapter 1 1)Describe the geological and geographical conditions that set the stage for North American history. In the geological aspect, the Native Americans that tended to the land did not aggressively control the land leaving rich soil for the incoming Europeans to later on control. But they also burnt down many trees to create living spaces for the tribes. Geographically it was good for the Europeans because it was by the water and all the rocks underneath the top layer of soil were rich for farming. 2) Describe the origin and development of the major Indian cultures of the Americas. The Indian Tribes like the Aztecs and the Incas were very infamous for working the fields, like taking care of corn and crops, which later reached the Southwest first and later on North America. This led to the cultivation of beans and maize in the southwest which inevitably started farming in America. 3) Explain the developments in Europe and Africa that led up to Columbia s voyage to America. Because Spain and Portugal were rivals, they were always trying to out beat each other. Since the Portuguese set up trading posts in Africa first, other European countries started and later on Spain set up posts too. Because the Portuguese didn t like taking water routes, it took them longer to get to India through land to get spices and jewels. While this was happening, the Spanish people became unified and seeing that they were now stronger, planned to outstrip their rivals of the Indian
  • 6. T-V-Pointer Experience Firstly I would like to start off by mentioning I am an Engineer so my week was different than the rest of my shipmates however, I think the trip was an invaluable resource, especially as a senior, keeping my skills sharp for the merchant fleet I will soon be joining. Every time I take a trip on the T/V Kings Pointer I am impressed at how my shipmates and I are able to safely navigate and operate a vessel. This is a true testament to the education we receive at the Academy and during our time at Sea. With great weather, our time in Virginia was just as impressive when pulling into Norfolk harbor. Seeing the stern of the USS Wisconsin, as a relic of one of the greatest vessels our American Shipyards have produced, was just icing on the cake compared to the Countless US Naval destroyers and cruisers and aircraft carriers we passed while transiting the Chesapeake bay and Elizabeth river. The best part of it all was seeing the US Merchant fleet at its finest with the bustling ports of the tidewater... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In particular, I was able to put in to practice knowledge I learned about overhauling pumps and working against a clock while trying to get the stern thruster in a capacity where it could be used for DP operations. The maintenance task became more challenging when things didn t go as planned, but as an engine department we adapted to the situation and came up with a solution that was ultimately better than the initial plan. The US Merchant Marine Academy is defiantly a unique experience and it is not just for anyone. Trips like the ones that take place on the T/V Kings Pointer require midshipman that are diligent, committed, and personable in a close quarters environment but at the same time our ability to stay composed under pressure and perform exceptionally well is what sets a true Kings Pointer
  • 7. Machiavellian Folly in The Prince Essay Machiavellian Folly in The Prince In the annals of history, many individuals have contributed great works of literature, waxing philosophically on the meaning of life, death, and love. Niccolo Machiavelli wrote not on love or life, but on power: How to capture it, how to consolidate it, and how to defend it against all comers. His work has been talked about and dissected to the extent that his subject matter and methods have earned their own moniker: Machiavellian. Nonetheless, this great philosopher s works did not meet with unanimous approval. His own student, Thomas Hobbes, presented a very different account of politics. This essay offers a Hobbesian critique of some of Machiavelli s arguments, focusing in and around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 2 Humans, according to Machiavelli, are not the morally grounded beings the Bible espouses them to be. He writes in The Prince: For one can say this generally of men: that they are ungrateful, fickle, pretenders and dissemblers, evaders of danger, eager for gain.3 Clearly, Machiavelli argues that man is precarious a being of dubious morals and selfish desires. Hobbes agreed with this analysis, and took it one step further. According to Hobbes, all mankind has a restless and perpetual desire for power, which ceaseth only with death 4. Moreover, man can never be satisfied with the power he has. Hobbes writes: ... [man] cannot assure the power and the means to live well, which he hath present, without the acquisition of more [power]. Man s first need is to provide security for himself. Past experience and reason dictate that he will do this by any means necessary even if it means killing everyone around him. Critics argue that Hobbes and Machiavelli are too pessimistic; but they would both beg to differ. To both Hobbes and Machiavelli, Aristotelian virtue is a deception; it can never be reached. Men do not want to be good; they want to lie, they want to cheat, and they want to kill. To expect otherwise would be contrary to their hostile nature. To both Hobbes and Machiavelli, political analysis must begin by identifying the human being for what he really is a self interested, self seeking

Furthermore, the ability to form biofilm is important both from the pathogenicity to the animal as for the manufacturing milk industries, where the pathogen can adhere to abiotic food processing structures and persist in adverse conditions through biofilms. The development and establishment of the biofilm depend on the ability of pathogen to adhere to bovine mammary epithelial cells. S. dysgalactiae have many virulence factors including the capacity to bind to the host s cells surface by a protein called GFBA, which is involved in adherence and internalization, by its linking to lactoferrin [6]. It was demonstrated that the S. dysgalactiae isolated from mastitis cows was able to produce biofilm [7]. Economic negative effects in the milk production around the world and the possible involvement of biofilms in S. dysgalactiae mastitis infections, address the research to the study of factors that may contribute for the biofilm production in order to establish more effective treatment strategies. Different studies report that environmental conditions influence the capacity to form biofilm in

For centuries the intervention of cultures grew reciprocally. As a result of this process people now have mixed cultures and many intercultural conflicts. The United States is a great example of a pluralistic society made up of many different cultures and nationalities. It is a nation that is composed of people who came here from around the world. In the 20th century, after new immigration laws were enforced, two opposing trends became obvious: the one state that America is multicultural; the other claims that America is monoculture. We have always been a multiethnic country , writes the author. He also traces back the creation and evolution of the American culture, and estimates the present contradictory character of it. Both authors speak in unison about the uniqueness of American culture. Schlesinger quotes the French author of the 18th century who said: Here individuals of all nations are melted into a new race of men. If Reed describes blurring of cultural styles in America as a cultural bouillabaisse , Schlesinger names it The melting pot . Moreover, Schlesinger admits the healthy consequences of new immigrations laws. He is against racism and discrimination of minorities and salutes the recognition of achievements of those groups, which were subordinated during the high noon of Anglo dominance. Nevertheless, the author is threatened by the fact that dividing the country along different cultures, idolizing of ethnicities, and welcoming group separatism will lead to very bad consequences. Group separatism crystallizes the differences, magnifies tensions, and intensifies hostilities. According to Schlesinger, America has always been a country where many different cultures get along together without any serious visible problems due to their assimilation to American culture, values, laws, customs, and beliefs. Needing only one point from the match in order to qualify for the World Cup, Beckham dragged an otherwise poor England side to qualification with sheer determination and a perfectly executed, last minute free kick. There are many challenges facing digital preservation including limited storage, policies, and cost. To meet these challenges, some have proposed the incorporation of cloud storage in long term preservation plans; I disagree. This essay seeks to highlight the weaknesses of cloud storage and direct the conversation of digital preservation to more reliable means. The myriad of instruments used during the Baroque period are divided into four groups: brass, keyboards, strings, and winds. Included in the brass group are trumpets, horns, and sackbuts. The trumpet, originally made of bamboo or wood, was replaced by a shorter version in 1300 and later fashioned into the shape of an S in 1400. Continuing to evolve rapidly, the trumpet became formed, coiled into an elongated loop in 1500 and could be constructed in both brass and silver. In 1820, valves were added along the body of the trumpet, which changed the pitch of the music it played. Orchestral, or French horns, were first developed in 1650 in France and in the 1700s, the French hunting horn entered the orchestra. Like the trumpet, valves were added to the horn in the early 18th century. Although they are not the best known group of instruments, keyboards play a prominent role in the orchestra. The Laffer curve is a special graph that depicts the relationship between a government s taxrate as a whole as well as the number of tax revenue it receives. When analyzing the concepts of the Laffer Curve it is detrimental to understand all of the aspects that make up the Laffer curve. When analyzing it is simple to point to the idea that if there are no taxes, then there will be no income for the government revenue. However, one question remains whenever the government decides to set a high tax. What affect will this high tax have on the governments revenue? Naturally I assumed that if the government took the action of implementing a higher tax in their system, then this would mean that they would receive a higher a revenue from the people. I was wrong in this sort of thinking, because this is generally not what happens. I have come to find out through research from the article Exploring the Laffer Curve: Behavioral Responses to TaxationBy: Samuel Kazman that whenever the government sets a high tax on the people, the causes a sense of reluctance in them to pay the taxes. As I analyzed Lane 2, it became obvious that the six Rf values represented the six known amino acids; the lowest Rf value was lysine and the highest Rf value was leucine. Once the Rf values for the unknown was calculated it was easy to identify the two amino acids present in the unknown sample due to corresponding values in both lanes. Although one value (Rf = 0.515) in Lane 4 did not completely match with the second value (representing glycine) in Lane 2, I can conclude that the Rf value in Lane 4 was still glycine because the values are similar and close in range, and Lane 1 helps support my theory as

  • 29. Christian Building Codes Book Report This story makes a lot of sense to people who live in the Caribbean or other storms and hurricanes prone countries. The governments of these countries insist that houses and other buildings are not erected in low lying or flood prone areas. There are also strict building codes that must be adhered to. People neglect these warnings at their own peril, for it is certain that in spite of how long it might take, the hurricanes are sure come. They will test the buildings and only those that were properly built, that is, only those that adhere to the codes will survive. The same is true of our spiritual lives, we all live in spiritual hurricane prone areas and as such we much observe the spiritual building code given to us by our Lord. The storms... The Purpose Of My Research Conducted For This Paper Was The purpose of my research conducted for this paper was to examine the relationship between Parkinson s disorder and its connection to the anatomy of the human body. Parkinson s is a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement due to the loss of Dopamine. Dopamine which is a neurotransmitter located in the brain allows signals to be transported from one nerve cell to another. Its purpose is to regulate both movement and cognition. The loss of these chemical messengers can cause both stiffness of the body and tremors, which are two common effects of Parkinson s. After his findings he found it necessary to pay homage to the first physician who originally brought recognition to this disorder. Naming the disease maladie de Parkinson which in English means Parkinson Disease . What exactly is Parkinson s? Known commonly as a movement disorder. It affects movement, muscle control, and balance. It is the second most common progressive neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer s disease, and the second most prevalent and disabling condition in the expanding elderly population (Mikkelsen,Stinson, 2011, pg xix). There has been many speculation about whether or not the United States should abolish the penny from being minted any longer. Although the penny has been a part of the American culture since 1787, it has such a small value, it will always be a part of American history. So as the years go on we should realize that the penny is everything to the United States. The penny should not be eliminated from the money system due to the fact that it is a part of the American culture and has earned its respect over the years. In America, there is still a debate if the penny should be eliminated. If it was to be eliminated it would still be used, but in a minimal way. In Canada, the Canadian penny was eliminated due to cost, time, and the country believed it was a waste of money, inflation reduced its purchasing power by 95% since it was first minted domestically in 1908: back then the cent could buy goods of the cost of $0.20, today in other words. (The Economist). Once a small coin can no longer be used to buy individual items at that price, but it is only used to make change, it becomes more trouble than it is worth. Canadian pennies cost 1.6 Canadian cents to manufacture, and the government expected to save $11 million a year by eliminating them (The Economist). But that sum equivalent to 0.0006% of GDP is small change. Canadians feel that eliminating pennies is that their feeble purchasing power means dealing with coins,

There are several different types of dualism that deal with the mind and body. There are substance dualists and property dualists and within these different types of dualism, there are more subcategories within them. For instance, in the substance dualism, there are interactionists, occasionalists, parallelists, and epiphenomenalists. All of these subcategories believe that the mindis not the same as the brain and that the mind is not a creation of the brain. Descartes used Leibniz s Law of Identity to prove that the mind and the body are considered to be different because they didn t have the same properties. The Leibniz s Law of Identity states that if two articles have identical properties, then the articles must be identical. The same can be said if the articles were not identical. Descartes had used the property of divisibility to illustrate the difference between the body and the mind. For instance, when one loses an arm, it is theoretically possible for the rest of the body to still exist. However, divisibility is difficult to use when it comes to the mind. For instance, it is impossible for someone to feel half depressed. The mind cannot be divided up like how a body can. Another property that is different between the mind and the body is the ability to take up space. Since the body has the capacity to take up volume and a mind does not have this capacity, they are considered to have different property. Thus, the differences allow the mind and body to be separate

They relied on England to protect them and practically run the colonies from overseas. Subsequently, America joined the family of nations that preaches men are created to be equal. This notion is expressed in Thomas Jeffersons Declaration of Independence. Though in the past Jefferson was seen as the greatest founder of the United States, today his more unknown attributes in the nation have come to be a topic of discussion, making a debatable conversation about the concept of presentism arise. Today, Thomas Jefferson is examined and evaluated from many different perspectives of his career during his lifetime in both adequate and deficient aspects, arousing the question if founding fathers, like Jefferson, should be remembered for their highest achievements, or for their individual failures and how the concept of presentism disarrays these outlooks. Born in 1743, Thomas Jefferson lived and breathed an age of slavery in America, which greatly impacted his life choices. The question, How could this man possess such a number of slaves if he himself was working for a nation of abolishment? arises due to the concept today of presentism. Limitations of lifi 1.The main disadvantage of lifi is that the light can t pass through objects, so if there is any object or any wall in between sender and receiver the signal will break at once. 2.Interference from external sources of light like sunlight, bulbs, and opaque materials will cause disturbance in the transmission of light. 3.Wifi and radio frequency will be still needed in the remote areas where tree and wall will act as obstacle. 4.VLC system has high initial installation cost ,but once it is implemented at large scale the cost can be reduced by its less operating costs like electricity bills, less maintenance charges and fewer operational
  • 49. Vascular Endothelial Development ABSTRACT: The disclosure of the vascular endothelial development component (VEGF) relatives VEGF, VEGF B, placental development variable (PlGF),VEGF C and VEGF D and their receptors VEGFR 1, 2 and 3 has given devices to contemplating the vascular framework being developed and additionally in illnesses going from ischemic coronary illness to malignancy. VEGF has been built up as the prime angiogenic particle amid advancement, grown up physiology and pathology. VEGF C and VEGF D are basically lymphangiogenic elements, however they can likewise impel angiogenesis in a few conditions. While numerous studies have tended to the part of angiogenesis and the blood vasculature in human physiology, the lymphatic vascular framework has as of not long ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As of late VEGF expression has been exhibited in heart myofibroblasts, non endothelial cells with the morphological elements of fibroblasts. Myofibroblasts assume a noteworthy part in the development, improvement and repair of typical tissue and are found at the site of localized necrosis. RT PCR, Northern blot and Western blot investigation affirmed the vicinity of mRNA and protein for VEGF, VEGFR 1 (VEGF receptor 1 otherwise called Flt 1, fms like tyrosine kinase) and VEGFR 2 (KDR/Flk 1, fetal liver kinase 1 is the murine homologue of human Kinase embed Area containing Receptor) in rodent myofibroblasts segregated from heart infarcts.10 Coexpression of VEGF and its receptors on the myofibroblasts proposes that VEGF adds to tissue rebuilding at the site of dead tissue in an autocrine way. VEGF might likewise assume a part in atherosclerosis. Uptake of oxidized low thickness lipoprotein (bull LDL) by macrophages starts froth cell development in atherosclerotic sores. Oxidized LDL expanded VEGF creation by the U937 monocyte cell line and by macrophages. As VEGF likewise increments vascular penetrability, VEGF creation by froth cells and macrophages may bother atherosclerosis by improving vessel porousness to

The colony was the most profitable possession of the French Empire. Saint Domingue was also the wealthiest and most prosperous colony, for the plantation owners at least, of all the colonies in the Caribbean. The Aztecs knew how herbal medicines would work. They concentrated on finding out what herbal medicine could do. The Aztecs also concentrated on curing the symptoms of an illness than finding the cause of the illness. They believed that if a god gave a person an illness, they cannot anything to cure that patient. According to Azteclegends, Well, if the gods want this man to suffer, they can make my herbs powerless. If the medicine works, it means that the gods wish for the patient to be relieved. This statement was used to make herbal medicine useful. The Aztecs used leeches to help patients to ease their pain. The Aztecs developed a writing system in which they used pictographs. Pictographs were simple pictures that were used as a form of writing. With pictographs, they wrote many codices. The codices were a book or manuscript (written documents).
