A major retail distributor needed a solution to analyze huge volumes of sales data across multiple time periods for strategic decision making. Their current system could not handle the data volumes and dynamic calculations required. SAP HANA was implemented with attribute views, an analytical view using a star schema, and calculation views to perform complex revenue calculations dynamically at runtime. This allowed reports to be generated instantly for over 3 million records across multiple years, solving the customer's issues with manual efforts and long report runtimes with their previous system.
