Vascular plants have three main organs: roots, stems, and leaves. Roots function to anchor the plant and absorb water and minerals, stems support leaves and reproductive structures, and leaves are the primary photosynthetic organ. These organs work together through vascular tissue to transport water, minerals, and food between roots, stems, and leaves. Roots absorb water and minerals which are carried by xylem to leaves, while leaves produce food through photosynthesis which is carried by phloem to the rest of the plant.
