to them when they tell us to not ride a golf cart at 1 A.M. on a freezing cold winter
night. My day started off just as it usually does, I wake up and go straight to the
kitchen for my morning cup of hot chocolate. I knew that this day was going to be
fun, it was New Year s eve. My grandparents were having a familyparty that night. I
have a very close relationship with all of my family so seeing everyone together
again was extremely exciting. We got to my grandparents house around 7 P.M.
Most of my family arrived earlier so, I went off to see what my cousins were
doing. I found them in the backyard driving rampant on my grandfather s new golf
cart. I probably should have taken this as a sign to not get on, but everyone else
was doing it so I decided I should just do it too. Our parents eventually told us it
was getting too late and to come inside. After watching the ball drop, My cousins
and I decided to take my grandfather s golf cart for one more ride. Our parents told

People living in this era must have had an experience of people bumping into each
other, and just walking away without apologizing. Some of them are in an urgent
situation and we can tolerate that there is no time to be polite but most of them,

the rude person was in a crucial situation. It s true that it gets really frustrating to see
the impolite person walk away like nothing happened when my feelings are hurt. It is
becoming certain that manners and courtesies are disappearing at a rapid speed.
Manners have been greatly valued and judged since the ancient times, but not
anymore. People who did not keep their ways to monarchs or even to high officials
were often severely punished or executed. Whenever I did something that was

mental health system, to help mentally ill patients in coping with the psychosocial
devastation brought on by severe mental illness and behavioural problems
(Correctional Services Canada, 2013). The traditional methods of treatment viewed
recovery as a process of curing an illness, usually with medication, but recovery does
not subsequently occur once their illness is treated (CSC, 2013). This traditional
method was ineffective because their recovery was halted by limited support and
skills and abnormal behaviours learned in institutions (CSC, 2013). These deficits
resulted in chronic impairments and maladaptive social functioning (CSC, 2013).
These individuals were unable to fulfill normal social roles and successfully live
independently in the community (CSC, 2013). The PSR approach to recovery
incorporates more than just eliminating the signs and symptoms of the illness, is
based on understanding the patients voice and experiences and encouraging
