What are stakeholders
A stakeholder is anyone who is
involved in the welfare and success of
a school and its students, including
administrators, teachers, staff,
students, parents, community
members, school board members,
city councilors and state
representatives

Types of stakeholders
Internal stake
holders
are those who work within
the school system on a
daily basis and
who largely control what
goes on there. They include
school staff,students
External stake
holders
External stakeholders are those
outside the day-to-day work of
the schools who have a strong
interest in school outcomes

  • 3. What are stakeholders A stakeholder is anyone who is involved in the welfare and success of a school and its students, including administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents, community members, school board members, city councilors and state representatives 5 November 2016 3
  • 4. Types of stakeholders Internal stake holders are those who work within the school system on a daily basis and who largely control what goes on there. They include school staff,students External stake holders External stakeholders are those outside the day-to-day work of the schools who have a strong interest in school outcomes 5 November 2016 4

Key Educational Constituent Groups and their “Stakes” Students Personal success throughout school, future opportunity Parents Pride, success, and opportunity for the students they care about School staff Professional efficacy and job satisfaction School & district staff “Adequate yearly progress,” meeting accountability expectations 5 November 2016 6

Enrollment of students in school Enrollment of students in government schools is one of the major problems there are different causes these are People trust on private sector Lack of awareness about importance of education Poverty Social issues Gender discrimination Rural area problems 5 November 2016 7

Role in enrollment  The goal of any kind of activity that attempts to involve community and families/parents in education is to improve the educational delivery Stakeholders can contribute to education delivery through various channels. The following is a list of ways through which communities can contribute to the education delivery and enrollment of students 5 November 2016 8

School staff role advocating enrollment and education benefits Providing quality of education Providing child friendly environment ensuring students regular attendance and completion. Retention of enrolled students Work with dedication can improve enrollment Start admission compaigns as UPE &USE 5 November 2016 9

Higher authority role boosting morale of school staff. constructing, repairing, and improving school facilities. contributing in labor, materials, land and funds. recruiting and supporting teachers. making decisions about school locations and schedules.  Invest in what works, not what doesn’t.  Shifting resources to the programs or practices with the greatest evidence of effectiveness 5 November 2016 10

Role of policy makers and trainers Policy makers should have deep insight over the existing problems  Current need of education Policymakers can constantly evaluate all policies and practices that this policy or practice improving student outcomes and enrollment of students 5 November 2016 11

Role of trainers Trainings should be conducted to train the teachers in such away that they should be prepared to face the challenges of 21st century in this way quality education in school will increase enrollment. Latest techniques and strategies should be introduced to teachers 5 November 2016 12
  • 13. Parents role preparing children’s readiness for schooling by providing them with adequate nutrition and stimuli for their knowledge. Help in studying their young children at home ••••follow the progress of their own children talking with teachers and school leaders •• advocate at the school, district. Parents can guide other community members to enroll their students in 5 November 2016 13

Role of Community Members cooperate with school leaders to identify the variables they can influence which can make a difference in students enrollment. support and promote the improvement agenda of the schools and district. School council should help teachers in UPE and USE compaigns 5 November 2016 14

Collaboration of stakeholders  When schools, districts, parents and community groups collaborate and align their efforts around student achievement, more students will succeed and public education will be at its best and obviously enrollment will be increased.  Research and fieldwork show that parent-school-partnerships improve schools, strengthen families, build community support, and increase student achievement and enrollment5 November 2016 15
