PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
As a recent graduate that just earned my Business Management Degree, I am seeking a job position within a
flourishing company where I can use my skill set and character to make a substantial contribution to the profitability,
teamwork, and overall success of the company. Through hard work, my innate and learned abilities, and ethical practices,
I want to mutually help the company and myself to reach our maximum potential.
CORE ATTRIBUTES
Poised Under Pressure: A calm and steady demeanor, both when business proceeds as planned or in the event of an
unexpected turn, has provided me with a consistent, level-headed mindset to produce optimal results.
Outstanding People Skills: People buy from businesses that they like, respect, and trust. My management goal is to train
our team to be just that in the eye of the consumer by creating a business system that is streamlined and effective. I
would use innate leadership skills, respect for fellow team members, and my genuine nature to achieve this.
Proactive and Productive: When tasks need to be done I address them immediately in the appropriate order of priority. I
am a perfectionist with tasks that require the utmost attention to detail but I can also stand back and look at the
big picture to adjust priorities as needed. I prefer to be proactive, but I’m fully comfortable being adaptive, as needed.
Creative Thinker: Unique challenges require unique and creative solutions. I understand the boundaries and restrictions of
each scenario yet think outside of the box, helping me adapt to new situations or tasks efficiently. This combination
allows me to create solutions that are unique yet appropriate for the problem at hand.
Analytical and Discerning: I am keen and pay attention to detail so I can easily determine the critical issues at hand for my
customer and my team. Whether closing a sale with a customer, or managing a future team, decoding all the
information helps make it easy for me to assist and problem solve for quick and effective resolutions.
Resilient and Resourceful: Setbacks that might derail others are learning opportunities for me. Even when I don’t have the
tools traditionally required, my focus remains strong and disciplined, so I persevere until I reach my goal.
EXPERIENCE
Cinemark, Harker Heights, TX, February 2010 – August 2010
Working in a movie theatre improved my customer service skills. I upsold concessions and tickets and resolved conflicts
such as a non-paying customer or settling a dispute between customers over one answering a phone call during a movie.
I also received training working with my hands, having to clean up after customers and repair small equipment.
Nike, San Marcos, TX, March 2013 – Current
My customer service skills improved even more at Nike because of my encounters selling apparel and footwear to a
diverse base of customers from different countries. My success on the sales floor led to my quick upgrade to move to the
shipping and receiving department, where I learned about logistics, received more hands on experience, and learned
about inventory control. My consistent performance led to me receiving the highest raise possible and led me to train new
employees through shadow training and taking a bigger role in the warehouse as a leader.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University. I
attended school from August of 2010 and graduated December of 2014.
HONORS, AWARDS, AND MEMEBERSHIPS
AP Merit Scholar
 June 2010 - Scored a 3 or higher on at least 3 of my AP tests, demonstrating outstanding college level
achievement while still in high school.
Nike Employee of the Month
 September 2013 - Won the MVP award after just 6 months of working at Nike, which is approved by managers and
voted on by my peers, showing my commitment to all my teammates at all levels.
Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization
 January 2014 – December 2014 – Joined the club in order to network with young entrepreneurs such as myself,
and learned about how to run a business after hearing many presentations from local business owners.
Intramural Sports
 Co-Ed Basketball –January 2014 –March 2014–It was a fun experience that created a new group of close friends.
 Co-Ed Football –September 2014-Novemeber 2014- Made it to the championship round with my Nike teammates.
