This document is Young Fine Gael's pre-budget submission for 2016. It proposes several measures to address issues affecting young people in Ireland such as unemployment, mental health, and third level accommodation. The key recommendations are to increase funding for mental health services, address the lack of student accommodation through incentives for student housing and tax relief for purpose-built accommodation, establish an independent budgetary office to cost opposition proposals, increase employment among graduates through mandatory work placements, standardize the minimum wage, remove certain business taxes, and introduce a recycling levy on bottles and cans. The submission aims to provide "a bright future for young Ireland."

The document appears to be a passage from the Bible where Paul is defending his right as an apostle to receive financial support from the churches he ministers to. In three sentences, he argues that as an apostle who has seen Jesus and works to further the gospel, he has the right to be supported materially by the churches, though he has chosen not to exercise this right so as not to hinder the spread of the gospel.
This document discusses the effects of privatizing education policy and school boards. It addresses three layers of privatization:
1) Organizational recalibration where private companies market policy solutions and school improvement services to schools.
2) Colonization of the infrastructure of policy where private sector representatives help create policy then export and disseminate those policies through various roles.
3) Global reach of education business where companies seek to expand into new international markets. Overall, the document argues that privatization has changed the nature of education policymaking and its implementation in schools.

Ireland's National Induction Programme for TeachersPaige Vitulli
This document summarizes a visit by two American teacher educators to St. Patrick's College Drumcondra in Dublin, Ireland to learn about Ireland's National Induction Programme for Teachers (NIPT). The NIPT requires all new teachers to complete 12 workshops on topics like classroom management, instruction, and working with parents over their first three years of teaching. Workshops are led by trained, practicing teachers and provide practical support. New teachers also receive school-based mentoring. The program aims to strengthen teacher quality and reduce attrition through highly structured, collaborative professional learning. The visit highlighted similarities to effective induction programs in other countries and gave the American educators new ideas to consider.

The document discusses India's new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The key highlights are:
1. NEP 2020 replaces the previous 1986 policy and aims to transform India's education system by 2040 with a focus on foundational literacy, critical thinking, and holistic development.
2. The policy principles include recognizing each student's capabilities, prioritizing foundational skills, promoting creativity/critical thinking, and ensuring equity and inclusion.
3. Some criticisms of NEP 2020 include concerns around promoting regional languages over English, a lack of democratic consultation, and challenges with implementation.
4. If implemented properly, NEP 2020 could help increase literacy and skills through improved access to education from early
So much of what we hear in the press is that this Congress is not accomplishing much if anything. In many ways, this applies to their work on education, too. But there has been some activity recently that is of importance to private school educators, including action by the U.S. Department of Education.
Please join us for a Capitol Hill Education Update webinar for private and religious schools. Participants will learn about all of the following changes and how they impact the implementation of federal education programs for students attending private schools:
Appropriation of funds
Passage of ESEA in the House
Bills for ESEA reauthorization introduced in the Senate
New guidance on the use of federal funds of technology
Guidance on new method of counting students for Title I
Extension of Waivers
The document outlines the UK government's draft structural reform plans to decentralize power and give more autonomy to schools, communities, and parents over education. Key aspects of the plan include giving all schools the ability to convert to academies, taking over underperforming schools, making it easier for new education providers to open schools, and introducing a pupil premium to provide extra funding for disadvantaged students. The goals are to improve the education system, drive innovation, reduce bureaucracy, and help close achievement gaps.
Education policy consists of the principles and policy decisions that influence the field of education, as well as the collection of laws and rules that govern the operation of education systems.[1] Education governance may be shared between the local, state, and federal government at varying levels. Some analysts see education policy in terms of social engineering.[2]
Education takes place in many forms for many purposes through many institutions. Examples of such educational institutions may include early childhood education centers, kindergarten to 12th grade schools, two- and four-year colleges or universities, graduate and professional education institutes, adult-education establishments, and job-training schemes. The educational goals of these institutions influence education policy.[3] Furthermore, these education policies can affect the education people engage in at all ages.Examples of areas subject to debate in education policy, specifically from the field of schools, include school size, class size, school choice, school privatization, police in schools, tracking, teacher selection, education and certification, teacher pay, teaching methods, curricular content, graduation requirements, school-infrastructure investment, and the values that schools are expected to uphold and model.
The document discusses a presentation given at Bournville College on unlocking funding opportunities for the third sector. It provides an overview of different funding streams such as social investment funds, grants from organizations like Big Lottery Fund, and an introduction to concepts of commissioning. The presentation advises organizations to diversify their services, funding sources, and commissioning relationships to be successful in applications. Support Solutions and Bournville College offer resources to help organizations strengthen their funding bids.

This document discusses several key topics related to economics of education:
1) Recent UK policy has focused on broadening post-16 education options and vocational qualifications to improve skills.
2) Higher education has expanded due to increasing student numbers by reducing costs and shifting more costs to students.
3) Studies show graduates earn more on average than non-graduates, with some degree subjects conferring much higher earnings than others. Earnings premiums exist even after accounting for other factors.
Ireland, the changing role of the National Economic & Social Council - Rory O...EUROsociAL II
The document discusses the changing role of the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) in Ireland over time. It describes how NESC originally advised the government but took on a greater role in facilitating social partnership agreements from 1987 to 2008 that supported economic and social progress. However, challenges emerged such as fiscal issues being glossed over, and the 2008 crisis led to unilateral government action and the end of national partnerships. The document examines dimensions along which social and economic councils can differ and challenges facing such councils in the current context of "new governance" approaches and austerity.
The document discusses the impact of COVID-19 on education in India. It notes that over 1 billion students globally were affected by school closures. In India, all schools and colleges closed in March 2020 during a nationwide lockdown. This has caused learning losses and other issues. Solutions proposed include conducting surveys to assess learning gaps, re-teaching important concepts, developing skills, and collaborating across institutions to help students return to mainstream education as restrictions are lifted.

Supporting schools with better human resource policiesEduSkills OECD
The staff working in schools are the most important resource for today’s education systems, both educationally and financially. This report aims to provide guidance for the design of human resource policies that strengthen, recognise and preserve the positive impact that teachers, school leaders and other school staff have on their students. It offers an in-depth analysis of how human resource policies can make the best use of available resources to create supportive working environments and build both individual and collective professional capacity in schools. This includes the design of entry requirements, career structures, salary schedules and working time arrangements to attract, retain and motivate high-quality staff; the effective and equitable matching of staff with schools through fair and transparent staff funding and recruitment; and informed investments in professional learning, from initial preparation to continuing development. Throughout its analysis, the report looks at implementation challenges and considers under which conditions human resource policy reforms are most likely to have the desired effects on schools and their staff. This report is the third in a series of thematic comparative reports bringing together findings from the OECD School Resources Review.
The new National Education Policy 2020 aims to transform India's education system by 2040. It replaces the previous National Policy on Education from 1986. Some key principles of the new policy are developing good citizens with empathy and resilience, focusing on foundational literacy and numeracy, promoting conceptual learning over rote memorization, and ensuring equity and inclusion for all students. The policy covers school education, higher education, and vocational training. It has been criticized for its emphasis on local languages potentially limiting English education and for being developed without enough state input. If properly implemented, the policy could boost literacy, skills, and overall growth in India by 2040.
This document summarizes a breakfast briefing event that covered policy issues related to growth, education, and careers. The event included:
- An overview of the government's economic and education policy context including reforms underway across schools, FE, HE, and skills/apprenticeships.
- Discussion of the current economic challenges including high unemployment, slow growth, and the impact on education budgets and reforms.
- Three key policy areas were highlighted: addressing youth unemployment, developing the further education sector, and implementing the government's growth plan.
- Participants provided input through voting on questions related to the economy, education policies, and careers services. Research projects on careers guidance and enterprise education were also briefly presented.
The document discusses the crisis in teacher education in India. It notes that while education is valued, it has failed to become a national priority despite recommendations over 50 years ago to spend 6% of GDP on education. Currently, less than 3% is spent. Teacher training receives little attention and is in a dismal state with rampant commercialization and lack of funding. The four-year integrated B.Ed. program is proposed but will require significant government funding and commitment to higher education, which are currently lacking. Failure to prioritize and invest adequately in education will undermine India's long-term national goals and increase inequality.

This document summarizes key findings from the TALIS Starting Strong 2018 survey on diversity and quality in early childhood education. It finds that socioeconomic gaps in child development emerge early. While early childhood education can help disadvantaged children, quality varies between more and less diverse centers. More diverse centers often face greater shortages and lower parental involvement, though staff may have more diversity training and use adaptive practices. Ensuring resources for diverse centers, reducing diversity concentrations, and supporting family engagement could help reduce inequalities.

- PISA 2022 assessed the math performance of nearly 690,000 15-year-old students across 81 countries. It found the average math performance dropped by almost 15 score points across OECD countries since 2018, a larger decline than ever seen before.
- Factors like insufficient education resources, a shortage of qualified teachers, and more time spent on digital devices for leisure rather than learning were linked to lower math scores. However, stronger teacher support during remote learning and feeling prepared for independent learning were associated with higher performance and confidence.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
