Respiration is an important process, Discuss this process and explain its importance to an organism, In your answer, be sure to: identify the organelle where this process occurs identify two raw materials necessary for this process Identify one energy-rich molecule that is produced by this process state how organisms use the energy-rich molecule that is produced state how a gas produced by this process is recycled in nature Solution Respiration is a process which provides body with oxygen for growth and other metabolic activities and removes waste products in the form of carbon dioxide gas. The two raw materials involved in respiration are Glucose and Oxygen and the three products are Carbon di oxide, water and heat. The organelle that is responsible for exchange of gases is the Lungs. The Lungs are the main organs involved in the respiration process. Air passes into the lungs through the process of inhalation through the nostrils and the air flows down the trachea into the lungs. The Lungs have alveoli which are small air sacs and is filled with tiny capillaries which are functional in the carrying of oxygen and carbondioxide back and forth from the heart to the lungs. During cellular respiration, the energy rich molelcule ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is produced. Cells do not use the energy from oxidation reactions as soon as it is released. Instead, they convert it into small, energy-rich molecules such as ATP and nicotinamide adeninedinucleotide (NADH), which can be used throughout the cell to power metabolism and construct new cellular components. The gas produced by respiration ,which is carbon dioxide, is the they type of gad that plants need to survive. The principles plants need to survive is carbon dioxide, water, and the sun\'s solar energy. And the things the give off is oxygen and natural sugar. While we need oxygen to be able to breath the need our carbon dioxide to survive as well, so it works in a cycle..
