In case of humanities, social sciences and other interdisciplinary
faculties, Research plan indicating the broad areas and nature of Field
work and research sought to be done:-
When we talk about ‘the humanities’, we refer to the study of how people experience,
understand and describe the world and their place in it. In a college setting, ‘the humanities’
involve research and teaching areas concerned with humans and everything that they do.
The humanities investigate human cultures, values and beliefs. The major areas in the field of
Humanities and Social Sciences are Constitution, Legal Environment for Startups, Professional
Ethics, Human Values, Intellectual Property Rights, Management Science, Managerial
Economics and Financial Accounting Analysis.
Often research topics are interdisciplinary and may include multiple subject areas and methods
from more than just one discipline. Although research methods differ among the Humanities,
the Social Sciences, and the Sciences, any research project in any discipline starts with curiosity
and a hypothesis.
A hallmark of humanistic study is that research is approached differently than in the natural
and social sciences, where data and hard evidence are required to draw conclusions. Because
the human experience cannot be adequately captured by facts and figures alone, humanities
research employs methods that are historical, interpretive and analytical in nature.
Professors and Students who engage in humanities research are often posing questions about
common assumptions, uncovering new meanings in Startup works, or finding new ways to
understand cultural interactions. This type of inquiry can produce clearer pictures of the past,
uncover the many insights that we can draw from our forbears, and in turn, help us better to
prepare for the future.
Professors in the humanities are often associated with their teaching, which is an important
part of their work; but they also conduct research and publish their findings in academic
journals and books.
Humanities rely on both field research data and databases but rarely have the means necessary
