Analysis Of The Arguments For Atheism
Theism or Atheism
By Sam Heney
This essay will discuss some of the arguments for theism and will rebutt them from an atheist s point
of view. Atheism is simply the rejection of the belief in the existence of deities whereas theism is the
opposite. There have been indications of theism stretching back to very early Homo sapiens with
evidence of rituals and superstitions. The dead were buried ceremoniously showing the belief in some
kind of afterlife. Atheism is seemingly a lot more uncommon throughout history with very little
evidence of our ancient ancestors ever lacking some kind of belief in a higher presence. This debate
has been going mainly since the Renaissance period but made great progress after the first and second
world wars. Between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I would write this essay with arguments for atheism but that would be counter productive as the entire
point of theism is that it is suggesting the existence of a deity and therefore it is a theist s burden to
provide evidence and/or proof of the deity s existence. Presented in this essay are four of some of the
most commonly used arguments for theism (not including arguments that rely purely on faith) and
rebuttals to each argument.
Firstly I will introduce a very popular argument for theism is that there can not be a causeless cause;
someone must have caused the universe to come into existence. Of course the natural response to this
is to ask; who caused God to come into existence? This argument is obviously internally inconsistent.
Next I will put forth an argument for theism known as the Argument from Design . This common
argument suggests that complex things such as watches and televisions are created by intelligent
people. Surely the intricacy of life spawning from simple DNA, as well as the other examples of
complexity in the universe also imply the influence of an intelligence? A rebuttal to this argument
would be that god is certainly complex, so who created him? If one says that he has always existed,
then why can t one instead say that the universe (and life) have always existed? Besides, there are
clear examples of lackluster design in nature. For example the human eye has a blind spot when it
could have been designed like the squid s (that doesn t have

Essay on Politics by Aristotle
The subject which the question focuses on is the view of Aristotle s ideal state. The distinction
between hierarchy and equality is at the heart of the understanding of Aristotle s ideal state. He claims
that an ideal state ought to be arranged to maximise the happiness of its citizens. So happiness
together with political action is the telos of human life. This end can be reached by living a better
ethical life. However, he endorses hierarchy over equality. On one hand we have the equality which
benefits everyone; on the other hand we have the distinction of classes meant in terms of diversities
and differences where the middle one appears to be the means through which the state is balanced.
Furthermore what is clear for Aristotle is that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will now start with the analysis of the relevance in an ideal state of ruling and being ruled. Aristotle s
view on this is clear, he says that citizens should rule and be ruled in turn. He claims that those who
rule and those who obey are the same. At this level, therefore, Aristotle seems to praise equality. He
says:
... it is obviously necessary on many grounds that all the citizens alike should take their turn of
governing and being governed. Equality consists in the same treatment of similar persons, and no
government can stand which is not founded upon justice. For if the government be unjust everyone in
the country unites with the governed in the desire to have a revolution ...
I strongly agree with this concept of the cyclical flow of power. I find it as a perfect way to achieve a
well spread equality in society and for this reason it is needed to have a more equal distribution of
justice. In addition to this he then argues that: ... for he who would learn to command well must [...]
first of all learn to obey. He thinks that those who were firstly ruled, when they have power they will
rule in a better way, because they will understand the meaning of being ruled. I once again agree with
this view, I believe that this mutual change of roles lets citizens think more carefully on the meaning
of ruling and being ruled. As a matter of fact, if we want to live in a state where justice is its main
feature we have to prevent the

Pan Am 103 By Max Gaines
Pan Am 103
Max Gaines
Middle Tennessee State University
Abstract
Pan Am flight 103 was just a normal routine transatlantic flight that took off from San Francisco and
was en route to London for its first layover. The flight took place on December 21st, 1988. Pan Am
flight 103 was on its transatlantic leg when it was blown into pieces by a bomb. The explosion killed
all 259 passengers on board and took 11 lives on the ground in Lockerbie, Scotland. Right after the
crash everyone believed it to be a terrorist attack. It took a three year investigation from the FBI until
they found the link to two Liberian nationalists. In 1999, Gaddafi finally handed over the two men for
trial. One of the men was sentenced to life in prison. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The airport only had one NOTAM that the crew needed to worry about there was some construction
going on the outer taxiway. This had no factor at all on the crew or the accident. The departure was
just like any other departure. Everything was routine and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. (NTSB,
1988)
The Boeing 747 took runaway 27R and began its route to New York Kennedy at 1825 hours Zulu, just
21 minutes after being pushed back from gate Kilo 14. When flight 103 took off they were tracking
the Burnham VOR. As they started to approach the Burnham VOR, the Boeing 747 changed to a
heading of 350 degrees. They were then cleared up to FL 120 and then to their cruising altitude of FL
310. Once the Boeing 747 obtained their cruising altitude of FL 310, they were North West of the Pole
Hill VOR about 26 minutes after takeoff. Approximately 7 minutes later, Shanwick Oceanic Control
transmitted the aircraft s oceanic clearance but this transmission was not acknowledged (NTSB,
1988). During the second transmission, flight 103 disappeared from the radar. The radar then picked
up two different trails of debris from the aircraft explosion. Some debris went as far as the east coast
of England. When the explosion occurred, the winds were between 250 degrees and 260 degrees and
were around 115 kts at FL 310. As the altitude decreased so did the wind strength. At FL 100 the

The Issue Of The Aboriginal Community
An Evolving Issue It is natural for many to ask, Why is this even an issue for society? Aren t most
Aboriginals in reserves? These type questions bring upon a new layer of difficulty to the issue. The
fact is the Aboriginal community is lashing back at the inability to sustain themselves. The reason the
issue is effecting every member and organization of society whether it be government, Canadian
businesses, or the common individual within society; whether they are Aboriginal or not is quite
complex. Although it is a complex issue, there are reasons for the issue being public and not private.
The first of which is the fact Aboriginals were put into reserves in the first place. This prevented them
from learning and growing along with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunate the stress on planning was not of adequate demand, very little help besides financial aid
was given to these Aboriginals coming from reserves. What makes this problem worse is the fact it is
not unique to Manitoba, many provinces deal with difficulties regarding the integration of Aboriginals
into society. These Aboriginals often find it difficult to fit into the society or find meaning work,
driving them to stagnate and become unresponsive to the society around them. This mixture of
Aboriginals moved to a society that doesn t understand or support them, along with economic
difficulties that require funding for reserves, causes tensions to boil over and develop conflict for all
parties involved.
Aboriginal Peoples Responsibilities
The responsibilities are of course split between all parties; Aboriginals as a whole must hold there end
of the weight with help from others in their new society. They (the Aboriginals) must strive for
autonomy within their native reserves and put individuals in power who will guide the reserves
forward, and away from the high levels of corruption that have plagued them for so long (Russell,
2012). Aboriginals must also demand more meaningful attention from Provincial and Federal
Government, although not in the form of financial aid as that is not an incentive. It merely holds the

What Is The Theme Of Freedom In Barn Night
The novel portrays the american theme of freedom throughout the entire book. It is shown between
every character in the forms of spirit, adventure, new challenges, and through the past that brought
them to the boarding school. One major event in the novel applies to the theme of freedom and it is
what happens after the Barn Night prank. After the Barn Night prank was accomplished and the group
of pranksters had returned from the glory of the Smoking Hole, Alaska and Pudge fall asleep together
when she wakes up in the middle of the night to a phone call. Rushing off campus, the group wonders
where she could have gone only to realize the next morning that she had died in a car accident. The
car accident was uncertain as to whether it was a suicide or a accident, but was caused when Alaska
remembered the day of her mother s death and tried to get free to her gravesite. Freedom is a part of in
this portion of the novel because it shows how Alaska running after the spirit of her mother that was
left and the openness of the possibilities that remind her of how she forgot about her mother´s death.
Initiation is the aging or growing up of a person to establish independence or adulthood. Two of the
most important characters that showed the initiation in the book were Alaska Young and Miles
¨Pudge¨ Halter. Alaska Young expressed her maturity and independence through her actions of caring
less and being brave. During Barn Night, when they shot off fireworks to distract the Eagle from

The Hill By Sir William Drummond Stewart
In 1837, a wealthy Scottish nobleman named Sir William Drummond Stewart took Alfred Jacob
Miller on his outing to the Rockies. Stewart had previously been to the mountains in 1833. But due to
the failing health of his brother, Stewart thought that his journey into the American West might be his
last. So he hired Miller to pictorially record the journey. Hence, Miller became the first artist to cross
the continental divide at south past and thus, the first artist to portray the Rocky Mountains in great
detail. Stewart and Miller started out their journey from St. Louis and went across the plains of
Nebraska along the Platt River. [1] Stewart had hired Miller to paint pictures of their daily lives.
However, Miller being a son of a prosperous farmer and merchant was not accustomed to the
adversities of the journey and he quite often complained to Stewart about the hardships of the trail.
They were travelling 20 30 miles a day on their saddle so it was impossible for Miller to draw while
travelling. So, instead Miller began to sketch images with either pen or pencil during the noon hours
when they would have their large meal, as it required the least amount of time to dry before they
started heading towards their next stop. Despite the hardship of the journey he completed over 200
field sketches in both pencil and watercolor. Through the work of Miller, America got to see its
untouched beautiful wilderness composed of vast mountain ranges and winding rivers. For majority of

The Characters Of Maturity In John Updike s A P
In the short story A P, Sammy the main protagonist how he changes from a childish teen to a person
that stands up for what he believe is right. The theme in the story that stood out to me the most was
maturity. This story is a coming of age how Sammy grows though out the story. Sammy makes an
immature chose that he believes is the right to do. But, Sammy good action goes unnoticed by
Queenie and her friends. As a result he is left to deal with his chose that he has made. In A P, John
Updike shows that Sammy s immaturity stems from his crude personality, sexist beliefs, and
irresponsible attitude. To Start, Sammy first displays crudeness throughout the story is he
demonstrates little respect for experience and age. On one instance, he claims the fifty year old

have some respect for her, not only because of the principle that she is a elder but she is also a women.
Sammy claims that the only charastics between him and Stokesie , is that Stokesie has two babies
chalked up on his fuselage. His rude reference to Stokesie s manliness and his failure to acknowledge
his life experience displays Sammy s complete immaturity. When Sammy makes the impulsive choice

Functions of Retail Management
FUNCTIONS OF RETAIL MANAGEMENT
When attempting to start a business, having a keen understanding of the goals of management through
the main four management functions is one key to seeing success, both with the operation and with
employees. With this said, a vital part of planning of the management end will involve three important
activities.
The first stage, planning involves developing a systematic process for attaining the goals of the
organization...Leaders make change happen through planning instead of reacting to change (EntEd
2007).
The first of which will be to lay out the goals that will be set for the hypothetical sporting goods store
used as the example, the second will be to create a business plan since the development ... Show more

It will be important for them to realize how every task they complete connects to the goals or the
business plan so there is a sense of value and something at stake. Directing will not end at this stage or
even after the business is open, it will continue to be a necessary component that I must actively keep
up with in order for this sporting goods store to succeed.
Controlling goes hand in hand with directing as it will be important for me as a manager and owner to
match the tasks delegated with the business plan and goals so that I can keep firm tabs on how we are
progressing. This not only involves monitoring of progress but being vigilant so that if negative
changes are occurring I can resolve the issue. As Richman (2006) more succinctly puts it, when it
comes to controlling, in project management terms, it involves determining variances from the
approved plan, then taking action to correct those variances.
Through my fulfilling of these four important functions of management, I would be a permissive
leader. For a small business like this sporting goods store that has a very small number of employees
and only two other managers, it is necessary to allow everyone to have an equal hand in important
decisions. While directing is a large part of my responsibility, I would still like to allow employees
and managers a great deal of leeway concerning how they perform the tasks assigned and if those
decisions on how to work are not productive, only then will

1. Evaluate TMS s system of measuring, evaluating, and rewarding the performances of the regional
general managers. Be sure to identify the key issues related to managerial authority and financial
responsibility.
TMS s system of measuring, evaluating, and rewarding the performances of the regional general
managers was, as they called it, tiered . They started the rewards at the top, the general managers, and
allowed them to allocate the rewards throughout their salesmen based on sales, and when the sales
occurred. With TMS being the largest seller of import cars and trucks in the United States (with sales
over one million), they were evaluated based on the number of promotional vehicles they could sell in

They should start the change in some of their more profitable divisions of the company. They have
proved that they are profitable so they have the human resources, marketing and finance divisions in
line. They would need to have someone in to teach them about the port of entry division to make them
a solid solo division that is completely decentralized from TMC. From there they would need to
monitor the division to see where any possible issues may occur and iron them out. From there they
could begin implementing them in other more profitable divisions and slowly turn them all into
independent operations.
I suggested starting with the most profitable divisions first due to the fact that they are financially
stable and would be able to handle any issues that may arise during this transition. They would be the
most resilient to change and would be a good model for all the other division to see what is to come
and what changes to expect.
Case Analysis:
Key Issues:
Change was the main issue of this case. TMS was expected to change from a centralized company to a
decentralized company. They wanted their GM s to be more responsible for what was happening in
their divisions, not only their successes, but their failures to. The GM s were to take over the finance,
human resources, marketing, and port of entry operations. TMC felt that this would make them look at
long term goals,

Benefits of Military Service

can help one s character . More specifically it gives good tools so that people can work well in a team,

Theme Of Memory In Cinema Paradiso
The function of memory in Cinema Paradiso is to fill in the gap between past and present. The two are
inseparable for none of which cannot survive or exist on its own without the other. Suppose the theory
that Light takes millions of years to reach us from far off stars, then light which left stars that were
8000 light years away is reaching our eyes now, even if the stars are no longer there. Memories are
what sparks out from the supernova of our lives and it travels all those light years to emit brightness or
at time simply light to help us figure out the contours of things in front of us. They are a powerful
thing. As we are introduced to a successful grey hair director, Salvatore, memory is like a missing

Everyone in that small Sicilian town had a memory of the cinema. It is where memory was created
and shared by the town people. They would gather together to watch the news, to fall in love, laugh
together at the pranks, get angry at the cutting of the kiss scenes, and sometimes joining in the guilty
pleasure of the prostitute s booth in the back corner. The reason behind having many character actors
instead of selected few is also easily recognizable ; the Neapolitan who later becomes the owner of
Nuevo cinema Paradiso, the illiterate ticket seller, the couple who meets in the theatre, the crazy man
who claims the square to be his property, the man who knows all the line to the films, these are all the
interesting townspeople who later appear at Alfredo s funeral. Seeing them still remaining in that old
town , yet changed in appearance with grey hairs only emphasizes what big parts of role they played
in Salvatore s memory. Each and every one of them was eccentric representatives of the town. While
the cinema continues as the prominent medium of entertainment and culture to the townspeople, the
progress and shift of time is inevitably shown throughout the movie. Over 40 or so years of time, the
theater undergoes many transitions. Black and white movies turn to colored movies and Ciccio

Arthurs was becoming increasingly forgetful. He was often unable to remember stock numbers, colour
codes, product lines, packaging modes, and other information essential for serving clients efficiently
and completing orders accurately. These problems were subtle in 1987, but became quite pronounced
and embarrassing over the next three years.
In May 1989, Arthurs and Jackson had a conflict relating to the purchase of a new company car.
According to Jackson, Arthurs presented him with a quotation for a car, which, in Jackson s view,
included $2,500 in unnecessary options. Jackson informed
Arthurs of his concerns and instructed him to find a car worth $13,000 instead of
$16,000. Jackson then left town on business and when he returned was distressed to find that Arthurs
had made his proposed car purchase with almost all of the unnecessary options. Jackson issued the
cheque to pay for the car, but also included a note to Arthurs saying that he had lost confidence in the
sales representative. It was about this time that
Jackson contemplated firing Arthurs, but decided instead to be a nice guy and overlook the matter.

Arthurs to another Western Agencies salesperson because the existing accounts had shown minimal
growth and no new accounts were being added.

My Consumption Of Soda By Coca Cola
I grew up in a home where nothing artificial was allowed, only organic and natural. If it came from a
garden or a field it usually made it to our table. We drank hot tea every day, there was never any
popcorn, pizza, or soda. I still remember the first time I had a slice of pizza and an ice cold glass of
Coca Cola in 1990. It was like a whole new world had opened up before me. I had fallen in love with
soda. I loved the sugary sweet stuff, with its carbonation dancing down your throat sip by sip. It was
heavenly. From that day on, no more hot tea, only soda all the way the colder the better. As the years
past my fondness of soda grew into an obsession. Somewhere in a twenty year span it became normal
for me to go to Walmart and buy 14 20 two liters of Coca Cola ever week and yes I did drink that
much soda every week.
My consumption of soda was so extreme that my friends and family regularly made fun of me for
having Coca Cola in my veins instead of blood and teasing me often by asking me if I wanted water to
thin it out some. It all came to ahead in the summer of 2010. I had just finished mowing the grass and
I was worn out and exhausted. I drank my soda with a lot of ice and started to feel even worse. That is
how my family found me on the couch, exhausted and white as a sheet. The only thing I could do was
look up at them, my limbs felt like lead. Both of my daughters, Jessica and Eileen, insisted I drink the
glass of water they had handed to me. My best friend, Trae,

Essay about Immigrants and Assimilation into American...
Immigrants and Assimilation into American Society
Several years ago, America was taught to be a melting pot, a place where immigrants of different
cultures or races form an integrated society, but now America is more of a salad bowl where instead of
forming an incorporated entity the people who make up the bowl are unwilling to unite as one.
America started as an immigrant nation and has continued to be so. People all over the world come to
America for several reasons. Most people come to America voluntarily, but very few come
unwillingly. For whatever reasons they may have for coming they all have to face exposure to
American society. When exposed to this new society they choose whether to assimilate or not.
Assimilation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another reason is that children learn a language by imitating the sounds they hear (mimicry) without
an accent. This enables children to obtain a correct diction. Here a child has a positive experience and
is able to assimilate with ease. On the other hand, an elderly person will find the learning process a
challenge and to a certain extent the situation might even be so burdensome that one loses interest in
learning. In Amy Tan?s speech My Mother?s English, she explains the difficulties her mother faced
because she (Tan?s mother) was unable to clearly express herself. She (Tan) also felt the effects of this
as a child. Not only did Tan?s mother find speaking English a barrier in the process of assimilation,
but Tan herself felt her mother limited her perception (Tan 45). Since Tan?s mother was unable to
speak English properly people would not give her good service and would not treat her seriously even
to the extant that people ?pretended not to understand her or even acted as if they did not hear her,?
(Tan 45). This is just one example of many that shows how some people have had negative
experiences assimilating into American society.
Language is not the only factor affecting the assimilation of people into American society, but one?s
traditions also have an effect on the willingness and on the degree to which one assimilates. Some
people have found that certain customs they have are not accepted in American culture and might

Biblical And Theological Basis Of A Transformational...
CHAPTER 4.
BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL BASIS
This project provides the theological basis for developing a transformational leadership certification.
In doing so, the research related to this project has three themes that are related to each other, the
problem, purpose statements, and theological basis:
Christian Change Agent
Servant Leadership
Shalom
Christian Change Agent Most processes are developed to serve a specific objective. However, over
time any process should be reviewed for effectiveness regardless of the risk of resistance to change.
Jesus taught this concept, when he said,
Now John s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, How is it
that John s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not? Jesus answered,
How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have
him with them. But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day
they will fast. No one sews a patch of un shrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece
will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins.
Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they
pour new wine into new wineskins (Mark 2:18 22).

Three Dimensions Of Intelligence Quotient
Burnout is composed of three dimensions which are: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and
feelings of reduced personal accomplishment/achievement (Maslach Jackson, 1981). Emotional
exhaustion refers to a feeling of being emotionally debilitated by work so much that one feels
physically collapsed and being unable to recover to work or previous physical health any more (King
DeCicco, 2009). Depersonalization or Cynicism involves pessimism toward one s coworkers and job
which may lead to one s eagerness to quit his/her career (Maslach Leiter, 1997). And finally, lower
personal accomplishment is described as feeling of not being successful and competent enough and
believing that one s efforts are futile (Maslach Leiter, 1997). Burnout ... Show more content on

In this pyramid, the first intelligence is Physical Quotient, essential for babies in controlling their
bodies. The second one is Intelligence Quotient, necessary for developing linguistic and conceptual
skills. The third one is Emotional intelligence, required for handling interpersonal and intrapersonal
relationships, and the last one is Spiritual intelligence, needed for searching meaning in life. The last
two intelligences, emotional and spiritual intelligence, are suggested by Wigglesworth (2002) to be
interconnected and reinforcing each other. Validity of rigorous research in areas such as spirituality is
confirmed by studies in neuroscience in which brain is examined for providing scientific answers to
questions related to constructs such as spirituality (Cacioppo, Hawkley, Rickett, Masi, 2005). The idea
of God spot in the brain is introduced by Persinger (1996) and Ramachandran (1999) as a location in
the brain working as spiritual functioning. Scientific examinations of brain indicated that these neural
areas of the brain are activated whenever subjects are engaged in spiritual discussions, resulting into a
conclusion that human brain is predisposed with locations specifically for cognitive constructs such as
spirituality (Cited in Howard White,

Music Programs In Schools Essay
As parents influence their child s ability to be in music programs at schools, a child is developing
experience and new views within the arts program. In research, based in London, Sarazin observes a
program based for the purpose to improve the student s skill sets in certain areas. Although the
program did not improve the children s skill of teamwork and self discipline it shows educators and
parents their child s view in their eyes. Sarazin interviewed students such as Michael, So, my opinion
is that Claudia should be stricter (Sarazin, 2017, p. 10). Another student who is not allowed to take his

Whether the children who are involved in the music program grow up to become a parent or continue
their interest and turn it into a career. Seeing how music affects children, positively and negatively,
allows adults to see the best solution for lacking music programs. Although you must ask, Is the lack
of music programs a good thing? Avoiding the negative experience, such as the children s experience
in London, in paragraph 4, allows educators to understand the view that maybe the music program is
the issue, as well as our own teaching methods or skill levels. Having music programs obviously
expands a child s abilities in other cases, such as the children in juvenile centers, but what is the
solution? Should music programs be important, or do they not matter? As most parents agree a child s
interests are important, as well as being able to explore and find themselves. Music programs allow
students to explore a new side, that not only fulfills their interest, but develops social skills. As parents
raise their children supporting their interests and future, educators in music help push along the skills
each child is developing. Whether the government provides arts rich music programs in a school
determines how much these children can explore music, while staying busy instead of in

The Spiritual Assessment Of A Medical Caretaker
Spiritual Assessment Tool I, being a medical caretaker, have the aim of providing healing to the
patients whom I attend in my hospital. I, being a catholic have the strong faith that every human being
is of body, soul and mind. It is true that the developments in the medical field can provide healing to
the patient to a certain extent. But at the same it is true that one s spiritual dispositions are also
important in the process of healing. So when one medical caretaker attends a patient, it is a necessity
to attend the needs of his spiritual needs too. So I make the spiritual assessment of my patient. I use

Otherwise when it needs more time there is option for a long staying and make follow up visits.
Interview I would like to interview Mrs. Catherine Thomason aged 78. She is a house wife and widow
with three children. She is suffering from malfunctioning of her kidneys and is hospitalized for the last
5 days of dialysis and other problems concerned with breathing. I have chosen this person for my
interview because I have always found this patient as so pleasant and cheerful. This has attracted me a
lot. She is suffering from so much pain and difficulties. But nothing can be read from her face.
Question #1 Q : What is your Faith? Do you practice it? What things do you believe that give your life
meaning and purpose? A : I am a Christian by religion. I am a practicing Catholic. I used to go to
church everyday till I was sick. It was my strength. I believe that I have a purpose in this world and I
am fulfilling it living it everyday. Question #2 Q : How do you find your faith accompanying you in

Examining the RNA Interference Mechanism in the dpy 13 Gene in C. Elegans Through Feeding
Mehdi Misto

Introduction: RNA interference, or RNAi, is a biological process in which RNA molecules reduce the
gene expression of an organism. This is done typically by causing the destruction of specific mRNA
molecules. RNAs are direct products of genes, these small RNAs can bind to other mRNA molecules
to either increase or decrease their activity like in the example of preventing an mRNA from
producing a protein. There are two types of RNA molecules that are central to RNAi, these molecules
are, micro RNA (miRNA) and small interfering RNA (siRNA).
The RNAi mechanism is found in many different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This same procedure is repeated to transfer worms from the dpy 13 starter plate to the OP50 seeded
plate labeled dpy 13 . These plates are then both incubated upside down at 20˚C for 48 hours. This
incubation gives the worms time to grow in their new environment. In part 2 of the experiment we are
inducing RNAi through the process of feeding. To do so, a black pen is used to label the bottom of an
OP50 seeded plate with the date and wild type . Another OP50 seeded plate is labeled with the date
and dpy 13 . A black pen is then used to label the bottom of the plate seeded with dpy 13 RNAi
feeding strain with the date and wild type . Five L4 stage worms from the plate of wild type worms are
then picked and moved to the OP50 seeded plate labeled wild type . Any eggs or young larvae that
may have been accidentally transferred are to be picked off of the plate and then flamed in a Bunsen
burner. The same method is used to move five L4 wild type worms to the plate seeded with the dpy 13
RNAi feeding strain, and once again to move five L4 dpy 13 worms to the OP50 seeded plate labeled
dpy 13 . These plates are then incubated upside down at 20˚C. Part 3 of this experiment calls to isolate

From The Aeneid Analysis
As a student who is bestowed on Latin for three years, the works from nearly two thousand years ago
always held a fascination over me. Through Caesar s campaign of the Gallic War, the bravery and
astuteness of Caesar are portrayed incisively. I profoundly admire the art of Cicero s public oration
and rhetoric after reading The First Catilinarian Speech; the Dream of Scipio makes me contemplate
the meaning of life and the ultimate nature of the universe. From the Aeneid by Virgil, I am struck by
the arduous journey of Aeneas and the irresistible power of fortune. As I analyze the sentences and
phrases of these ancient wisdoms, the beauty of the structure and the subtle interpretation of phrases
interest me. And as I dive into the words and the stems, I am surprised at how sophisticated and in the
meanwhile how logical this language is. It is a quirk that people think Latin is a monotonous and dead

Double Consciousness and the Stranger Essay
Throughout history, Georg Simmel and W.E.B. Du Bois have had a significant influence on important
theories and ideas developed in the Social Sciences. Perhaps two of the most relevant and well known
concepts developed by both of these theorists are the concepts of double consciousness and the
stranger . In this paper I will be analyzing both of these pieces of work to draw upon differences and
similarities between the two. The similarities I will be elaborating on are the usage of the paradoxical
figure, which both Simmel and Du Bois discuss in their theories, and the coexisting feeling of division
from mainstream society. The difference between the two theories that I will be exploring is the
perception that mainstream society has of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is fixed within a certain spatial circle or within a group whose boundaries are analogous to spatial
boundaries but his position within it is fundamentally affected by the fact that he does not belong in it
initially and that he brings qualities into it that are not, and cannot be, indigenous to it (Simmel, 143).
Simmel defines the stranger as one that is both close and far; that is physically close, but socially
distant. He disassociates his concept from the understanding of the stranger as one who comes and
goes. Rather, the stranger he speaks of in this case is one who comes and stays, but has not been
socialized under the same conditions as mainstream society. Despite this, the stranger is not a person
who is withdrawn from society and is unaware of social norms. Rather, someone is inorganically
appended to the society, but still an organic member of the group (ibid, 149). The stranger is seen as
and valuable member of society because it is, in no way connected to any one individual. The stranger
holds a certain objectivity, and can be confessed to without the threat of judgment on the confessor
(ibid, 145). Simmel believes that the role of stranger is historically related to certain forms of
economic interaction, particularly trade. Because the role of the stranger is never the

The Role Of Sterilization On The Individual
For many centuries, countries have used forced sterilization for various reasons for their cultures.
They have used this method of sterilization to help control their populations, help grow their
economies, and for their beliefs or laws within their countries. As for the United States, we have
depicted our country as the land of the free. Our nation was founded on the premise that all human
beings are created equal, stated Philip Roos, author of Psychological Impact of Sterilization on the
Individual, and possess inalienable rights (45). However, some people would disagree because of how
our country has changed since it has become a country. People do not have the freedom in which some
believe we should have. In addition, we have advanced beyond most other countries when it comes to
opportunities for our people.
According to the authors of Federally Funded Sterilization: Time to Rethink Policy, Sonya Borrero,
Nikki Zite, and Mitchell D. Creinin:
Female sterilization has been a popular method of contraception since the 1970 s. Despite the
relatively high utilization of sterilization in the United States, there is considerable evidence that there
is an unmet demand for the procedure among some segments of the United States population. In
particular, low income women may face significant system level barriers to obtaining a desired
sterilization procedure. (1822)
Forced sterilization no longer means just sterilization with the element of not being able to have

to have a worth of about 1.85 years of income, while the first born girl held a value of only about 0.43

help close the large income gap between first born boys and first born girls. This alternative solution
would allow for parents to keep girls and have the income that is often secured by first born boy. This
solution would also benefit families that have two children that are both boys and girls, she hoped she
would become a doctor, but her family only had enough money to send her brother to school; as a
man, he had a more likely chance of making money to support their family (Hayoun 2). Many families
may not have money to send both their children to school or college, so, sons are sent to school
because they are seen to have more opportunities and a higher income. The alternative solution will
help end gendercide and allow for girls to get a higher education. Overall, a financial incentive is a
more positive alternative solution rather than a child limiting policy due to the embracing of girls to

Hasty Generalization Fallacy
Fallacies are an error in reasoning, a fault in one s argument that does not have the correct evidence or
facts. Fallacies are something that we commit since we were young kids, arguing with your brothers
or sisters and into our adulthood arguing with our spouse or trying to make a point in our career fields.
Many of us even commit these fallacies without realizing what we are doing, it is a learning progress
for many to realize and understand when we are using fallacy and trigger our brain to think in a
different way to avoid the trickiness of fallacies. One fallacy that could be tricky and easy to use daily
would be Hasty Generalizations, which is a fallacy that is based on assumption, which we all know we
have done at some point in our lives and can see how easy it could be to use as an automatic reaction.
Hasty Generalization according to UNC is Making assumption about a whole group or range of cases
based on a sample that is inadequate stereotypes about people When committing a Hasty
Generalization fallacy, you are assuming a conclusion or assuming that one thing is the same as all of
them in a group without knowing the proper facts to back up why your conclusion is correct. You take
your own perspective on a subject and assume you know it all without doing the proper research to
prove to someone else that you do actually know it all. During a debate with a colleague or just a

Causes Of Junk Food
Anyone who has ever tried to eat healthy know that junk food is more convenient. These struggles
stem from the fact that most of the time parents while purchase junk food more often than healthy
food which makes junk food readily available. Small communities tend to have less accessibility to
healthy food because they are often further away from larger markets. Most of the time while
shopping people will notice that healthy foods are more expensive which is inconvenient for people
with lower budgets and then in turn pushes them to buy the less expensive food which is most likely
junk food. To truly understand the reasoning behind the choice to eat unhealthy lie within ones own
mentality and the fact that they don t think healthy food if worth the work, and that emotions play
such a big role in what people choose to do. There are many problems and causes surrounding eating
too much junk food. One of the major ones is emotional eating. Emotional eating happens when
someone eats to deal with certain emotions such as sadness or even stress. Most people gravitate
towards junk food while emotional eating because it never requires any preparations, is always there
and easily accessed. Boredom also leads to excessive excessive eating, this is because people will be
bored and not know what to with their hands and the easiest thing to do is to eat because there is
always going to be food there. For many people it can be hard for them to realize that they are eating
because of boredom

Mainstreaming Of Children With Disabilities
Mainstreaming of Children with Disabilities One of the most important factors in a well, social
functioning child with a disability is education. Proper education will offer a child the opportunity to
be successful on a higher level than a child without an education. When a child enters the school
system they are entering in an environment that is unfamiliar and challenging. Children with physical
disabilities and lack of full cognitive reasoning, sense their differences around other children.
According to Welsh, Parke, Widaman, O Neil, 2001; Social ability can have a significant impact on a
child s academic success in the classroom . Social skills are a very important factor when it comes to
educating children with disabilities. Lack of social skills could show feelings of anxiety and
depression which will affect their learning. A child with anxiety and or depression would probably be
noticeable to other children causing social awkwardness. Physical disabilities can also be a social
challenge in any setting, curiosity of the unknown by surrounding children can present insecurities for
a child with a physical disability. This may cause a child to retreat from social activities, because they
fear the questions, staring and difference of treatment. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
was signed into law on July 26, 1990, by President George H.W. Bush. This act was modeled after the

The Causes And Consequences Of Anxiety
Anxiety is defined as a condition, or unpleasant emotional state that involves feelings of worry,
tension and apprehension (Bekker et al, 2003). To attempt to discover the causes of anxiety, and what
areas of the brain are involved, Jeffrey Grays Behavioural Inhibition System (1982) will be discussed.
Following this, further exploration of these beliefs by Carver and White (1994) will be explored. In
addition to these, it is also suggested that anxiety is correlated to hippocampus and amygdala
formation and volume, therefore, this idea will also be explored, other factors that may influence
anxiety will also be discussed in order to consider other potential causes and consequences of anxiety.
After review and consideration of this evidence, the question To what extent can individual differences
in anxiety be explained by variation in the Behavioural Inhibition System will be explained.
Jeffrey Grays (1982) Behavioural Activation System (BAS) and Behavioural Inhibition System (BIS)
which are now occasionally referred to as Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory (RST) (Pickering and
Corr, 2008) are theories of personality, which believe that individual differences in personality are due
to neurobiological factors (Avila Barrós Loscertales, 2008). The Behavioural Activation System is
motivated by reward and motivation. Whereas the Behavioural Inhibition System is motivated by
sensitivity to punishment and avoidance (Goldberg et al, 2010) To test this theory, Carver and White

Descriptive Essay On Destitute Beauty
Destitute Beauty In the large city of New York, there are many beautiful people. I am not one of them.
I can pass hours away sitting in a coffee shop in a tall seat next to the window, watching the beauties
pass, seeing my reflection against them even more bloated and lumpy than normal. Some of them
notice me. Most of them don t. It doesn t matter. Like I said, New York is a large city, I ll never see
them again. And anyway, I m sure they re used to people staring. How could they not be, they draw
people with their large, black rimmed eyes and lean figures and cutting jawbones like dogs to the
enticing smell of meat. I am just another dog, one they will forget in moments. And when the sun sets,
and the beautiful people fade away and the crowd becomes faceless and intoxicated, that s when I
leave, and where I stay until the sun rises, becoming one with the pulse and throb of the mass.
Promising myself that the next day, yes, the next day, I ll get a job, ignore the cold, gorgeous people,
succeed even with my lumps, and papery skin, and eyes that are just a little too far apart. And the next
day, with my headache, I return. Today is yesterday and the day before. The sun is especially bright
now, almost passive aggressively bright, shining smugly through the haze that buries the city,
bouncing into the small cafe in which I spend most of my time. It s supposed to be homey, with nearly
dead plants hanging skeletal by the windows and overstuffed couches near a coffee table. I sit in the
uncomfortable seat that s almost comically tall, at the only table next to a window. The barista Ellen is
chatting happily with a customer, she barely notices me anymore. Which is fine by me. A woman, with
long legs and hollows under her cheekbones, struts past the café, a mere foot away from me. She
doesn t notice my stare. It s a funny thing. People talk all they want about feeling when people stare at
them, getting goosebumps and looking around frantically for their admirer. But either it isn t true, or I
m not important enough for my stare to mean anything, hold any weight. Searching through the

age of reason. Yet now that I am older and possess the ability to logically reason and make choices for
myself, I choose God for myself. I have seen proof of God s existence in my own life, but many may
consider me bias because I am a born and raised Catholic. What about those who were not born into
this faith? How will they ever believe in the existence of God? They cannot be open to Someone who
they believe does not exist. That is where Saint Thomas ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This world is incredible. Just look at the intricate fibers that a dandelion consists of, the unique
configurations of each and every snowflake, or the way in which innumerable different organisms
coexist in relative harmony on earth. This world, with all its elaborate details, could not have just
happened. It is so well organized, so masterfully designed, that everyone, religious or not, cannot help
but conclude that there must be a designer: God. Furthermore, why do all of us, religious or not,
possess this intrinsic desire for something more of which we do not know? We are all moving towards
an end, whether we like it or not, and this cannot be by sheer chance. Some intelligent being exists by
whom all natural things are directed to their end (Gracyk

The Importance Of Weather In Florida
When many people look at Florida, they tend to think of the hotness of the water as they entered the
beaches; as well as the clubs that are right across the street from these beaches. They don t tend to
remember the bipolar weather that comes into play as they cross that Georgia to Florida line. Florida
although bipolar in its weather patterns, has become a very popular tourist destination and retirement
spot for millions of Americans. But, little do they know, Florida is not what it is cracked up to be.
Although Florida s weather is very hot; but we do have very much rain. In fact, the state has the
highest number of thunderstorms in the U.S. Average rainfall, for most of the state is between 50 and
60 inches from water (Florida Traveler

Dr. Samenow Analysis
Dr. Samenow for example says that teens look for acceptance and love not found at home .He also
says gangs resemble family solutions( gang of a lack of family structure) such as friendship , love, and
family. Concerning gangs, Samenow points out that not all families living in gang infested
neighborhoods have children who get involved in the gangs. It s common to refer to them as
unsocialized, but the dyssocial sociopath does socialize to the mores and values of a dyssocial
outgroup, like a gang. That these teens and young adults socialize with similar minded peers leads to
self reinforcing affinity groups without real boundaries or structures, since the older gang leaders are
dead or imprisoned and no longer on the street.Though their

Tex Wash Bridge Research Paper
The Tex Wash Bridge
The Tex Wash Bridge was built in 1967, listed as functionally obsolete in 2014, and failed do to
collapsing in July of 2015. After 2014 inspections were made and no flaws were detected so it was left
unchanged. In 1967, the construction crew had the task of spanning the Tex Wash to connect the
freeway between California and Arizona along the Chuckwalla Mountains. They decided the best, and
most cost effective, way of doing this is by channeling a dry riverbed and narrowing it where the
bridge was to stand. The columns of the bridge were to stand on their foundations which was sitting
on the soil and the banks of the bridges were given large rocks to protect their foundation from being
washed away (Kelman).

They can be caused by several different events including the undercutting a slope, or wearing away at
the base of a hill from underground, because of stream erosion, or heavy or lengthy rainfall, rapid
snowmelts, quick changes in groundwater. Other causes are seismic activity from construction or
earthquakes or placing to much weight at the top of a hill. Some types of soil, such as clay or silt, are
more prone to landslides than others so you must always learn more about the local geology and use
geological mapping to detect slope hazards before building. There are multiple types of landslides

Systematic Observation Is More Than Casual People Watching
Observations:
Systematic observation is more than casual people watching. It is used to observe specific behaviors
related to the topic being studied are recorded. Further, attempts are made to eliminate bias of any
kind that could skew the observation s findings by tasking multiple observers with watching for the
same behaviors and also repeating the observation.
Systematic observation is often used as the starting point for research. You need to know something
before you can decide whether it needs further research. The biggest disadvantage is the fact that it is
very time consuming and that people often change their behavior when they know they are being
watched. This means, you could observe them without them knowing it or you should

The Epidemic Of The Ebola Outbreak Of West Africa
Crisis is a word used to describe a situation that has reached a critical phase. In order to minimize the
effects after an incident occurs, a crisis manager sets out to indemnify the area. A crisis can be globally
felt and personally felt. One major global crisis in recent history was the Ebola virus outbreak, and one
personal crisis I have experienced is a bipolar crisis. The Ebola outbreak in West Africa first broke the
news in March 2014. Considered an epidemic, this outbreak killed five times more than any other
Ebola outbreak combined. The virus is traced back to a two year old toddler who died in a south
eastern Guinea small village in December 2013. It took nearly three months for the health officials to
identify the cause of people s illness was Ebola. At that point, the virus had already spread and was set
to explode around the world. West Africa was not prepared for this type of epidemic, the clinics had
never managed this type of case, there was no laboratory to diagnose the patients, and the government
had never witnessed that type of upheaval. The people initially denied the crisis because they didn t
understand why, how, or what had hit them.
The past outbreaks were in rural areas with few cases in highly populated areas, and the major fix was
the isolate the infected. Since the virus was so widely spread the control could no longer be isolation,
supportive care was the new aim. Basic public health, however, was not easily found in the three

  • 2. Analysis Of The Arguments For Atheism Theism or Atheism By Sam Heney This essay will discuss some of the arguments for theism and will rebutt them from an atheist s point of view. Atheism is simply the rejection of the belief in the existence of deities whereas theism is the opposite. There have been indications of theism stretching back to very early Homo sapiens with evidence of rituals and superstitions. The dead were buried ceremoniously showing the belief in some kind of afterlife. Atheism is seemingly a lot more uncommon throughout history with very little evidence of our ancient ancestors ever lacking some kind of belief in a higher presence. This debate has been going mainly since the Renaissance period but made great progress after the first and second world wars. Between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I would write this essay with arguments for atheism but that would be counter productive as the entire point of theism is that it is suggesting the existence of a deity and therefore it is a theist s burden to provide evidence and/or proof of the deity s existence. Presented in this essay are four of some of the most commonly used arguments for theism (not including arguments that rely purely on faith) and rebuttals to each argument. Firstly I will introduce a very popular argument for theism is that there can not be a causeless cause; someone must have caused the universe to come into existence. Of course the natural response to this is to ask; who caused God to come into existence? This argument is obviously internally inconsistent. Next I will put forth an argument for theism known as the Argument from Design . This common argument suggests that complex things such as watches and televisions are created by intelligent people. Surely the intricacy of life spawning from simple DNA, as well as the other examples of complexity in the universe also imply the influence of an intelligence? A rebuttal to this argument would be that god is certainly complex, so who created him? If one says that he has always existed, then why can t one instead say that the universe (and life) have always existed? Besides, there are clear examples of lackluster design in nature. For example the human eye has a blind spot when it could have been designed like the squid s (that doesn t have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay on Politics by Aristotle The subject which the question focuses on is the view of Aristotle s ideal state. The distinction between hierarchy and equality is at the heart of the understanding of Aristotle s ideal state. He claims that an ideal state ought to be arranged to maximise the happiness of its citizens. So happiness together with political action is the telos of human life. This end can be reached by living a better ethical life. However, he endorses hierarchy over equality. On one hand we have the equality which benefits everyone; on the other hand we have the distinction of classes meant in terms of diversities and differences where the middle one appears to be the means through which the state is balanced. Furthermore what is clear for Aristotle is that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will now start with the analysis of the relevance in an ideal state of ruling and being ruled. Aristotle s view on this is clear, he says that citizens should rule and be ruled in turn. He claims that those who rule and those who obey are the same. At this level, therefore, Aristotle seems to praise equality. He says: ... it is obviously necessary on many grounds that all the citizens alike should take their turn of governing and being governed. Equality consists in the same treatment of similar persons, and no government can stand which is not founded upon justice. For if the government be unjust everyone in the country unites with the governed in the desire to have a revolution ... I strongly agree with this concept of the cyclical flow of power. I find it as a perfect way to achieve a well spread equality in society and for this reason it is needed to have a more equal distribution of justice. In addition to this he then argues that: ... for he who would learn to command well must [...] first of all learn to obey. He thinks that those who were firstly ruled, when they have power they will rule in a better way, because they will understand the meaning of being ruled. I once again agree with this view, I believe that this mutual change of roles lets citizens think more carefully on the meaning of ruling and being ruled. As a matter of fact, if we want to live in a state where justice is its main feature we have to prevent the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These type questions bring upon a new layer of difficulty to the issue. The fact is the Aboriginal community is lashing back at the inability to sustain themselves. The reason the issue is effecting every member and organization of society whether it be government, Canadian businesses, or the common individual within society; whether they are Aboriginal or not is quite complex. Although it is a complex issue, there are reasons for the issue being public and not private. The first of which is the fact Aboriginals were put into reserves in the first place. This prevented them from learning and growing along with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunate the stress on planning was not of adequate demand, very little help besides financial aid was given to these Aboriginals coming from reserves. What makes this problem worse is the fact it is not unique to Manitoba, many provinces deal with difficulties regarding the integration of Aboriginals into society. These Aboriginals often find it difficult to fit into the society or find meaning work, driving them to stagnate and become unresponsive to the society around them. This mixture of Aboriginals moved to a society that doesn t understand or support them, along with economic difficulties that require funding for reserves, causes tensions to boil over and develop conflict for all parties involved. Aboriginal Peoples Responsibilities The responsibilities are of course split between all parties; Aboriginals as a whole must hold there end of the weight with help from others in their new society. They (the Aboriginals) must strive for autonomy within their native reserves and put individuals in power who will guide the reserves forward, and away from the high levels of corruption that have plagued them for so long (Russell, 2012). Aboriginals must also demand more meaningful attention from Provincial and Federal Government, although not in the form of financial aid as that is not an incentive. It merely holds the ... Controlling goes hand in hand with directing as it will be important for me as a manager and owner to match the tasks delegated with the business plan and goals so that I can keep firm tabs on how we are progressing. This not only involves monitoring of progress but being vigilant so that if negative changes are occurring I can resolve the issue. As Richman (2006) more succinctly puts it, when it comes to controlling, in project management terms, it involves determining variances from the approved plan, then taking action to correct those variances. Through my fulfilling of these four important functions of management, I would be a permissive leader. For a small business like this sporting goods store that has a very small number of employees and only two other managers, it is necessary to allow everyone to have an equal hand in important decisions. I suggested starting with the most profitable divisions first due to the fact that they are financially stable and would be able to handle any issues that may arise during this transition. We drank hot tea every day, there was never any popcorn, pizza, or soda. I still remember the first time I had a slice of pizza and an ice cold glass of Coca Cola in 1990. It was like a whole new world had opened up before me. I had fallen in love with soda. I loved the sugary sweet stuff, with its carbonation dancing down your throat sip by sip. It was heavenly. Immigrants and Assimilation into American Society Several years ago, America was taught to be a melting pot, a place where immigrants of different cultures or races form an integrated society, but now America is more of a salad bowl where instead of forming an incorporated entity the people who make up the bowl are unwilling to unite as one. America started as an immigrant nation and has continued to be so. People all over the world come to America for several reasons. Most people come to America voluntarily, but very few come unwillingly. For whatever reasons they may have for coming they all have to face exposure to American society. When exposed to this new society they choose whether to assimilate or not. Assimilation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Amy Tan?s speech My Mother?s English, she explains the difficulties her mother faced because she (Tan?s mother) was unable to clearly express herself. She (Tan) also felt the effects of this as a child. Not only did Tan?s mother find speaking English a barrier in the process of assimilation, but Tan herself felt her mother limited her perception (Tan 45). However, over time any process should be reviewed for effectiveness regardless of the risk of resistance to change. Jesus taught this concept, when he said, Now John s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, How is it that John s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not? Avoiding the negative experience, such as the children s experience in London, in paragraph 4, allows educators to understand the view that maybe the music program is the issue, as well as our own teaching methods or skill levels. Having music programs obviously expands a child s abilities in other cases, such as the children in juvenile centers, but what is the solution? Should music programs be important, or do they not matter? As most parents agree a child s interests are important, as well as being able to explore and find themselves. Music programs allow students to explore a new side, that not only fulfills their interest, but develops social skills. As parents raise their children supporting their interests and future, educators in music help push along the skills each child is developing. This is done typically by causing the destruction of specific mRNA molecules. RNAs are direct products of genes, these small RNAs can bind to other mRNA molecules to either increase or decrease their activity like in the example of preventing an mRNA from producing a protein. Perhaps two of the most relevant and well known concepts developed by both of these theorists are the concepts of double consciousness and the stranger . In this paper I will be analyzing both of these pieces of work to draw upon differences and similarities between the two. Simmel defines the stranger as one that is both close and far; that is physically close, but socially distant. He disassociates his concept from the understanding of the stranger as one who comes and goes. Rather, the stranger he speaks of in this case is one who comes and stays, but has not been socialized under the same conditions as mainstream society. Despite this, the stranger is not a person who is withdrawn from society and is unaware of social norms. Rather, someone is inorganically appended to the society, but still an organic member of the group (ibid, 149). The stranger is seen as and valuable member of society because it is, in no way connected to any one individual. The stranger holds a certain objectivity, and can be confessed to without the threat of judgment on the confessor (ibid, 145). They have used this method of sterilization to help control their populations, help grow their economies, and for their beliefs or laws within their countries. As for the United States, we have depicted our country as the land of the free. Our nation was founded on the premise that all human beings are created equal, stated Philip Roos, author of Psychological Impact of Sterilization on the Individual, and possess inalienable rights (45). However, some people would disagree because of how our country has changed since it has become a country. People do not have the freedom in which some believe we should have. In addition, we have advanced beyond most other countries when it comes to opportunities for our people. According to the authors of Federally Funded Sterilization: Time to Rethink Policy, Sonya Borrero, Nikki Zite, and Mitchell D. Creinin: Female sterilization has been a popular method of contraception since the 1970 s. Despite the relatively high utilization of sterilization in the United States, there is considerable evidence that there is an unmet demand for the procedure among some segments of the United States population. In particular, low income women may face significant system level barriers to obtaining a desired sterilization procedure. Proper education will offer a child the opportunity to be successful on a higher level than a child without an education. When a child enters the school system they are entering in an environment that is unfamiliar and challenging. Children with physical disabilities and lack of full cognitive reasoning, sense their differences around other children. According to Welsh, Parke, Widaman, O Neil, 2001; Social ability can have a significant impact on a child s academic success in the classroom . Social skills are a very important factor when it comes to educating children with disabilities. Lack of social skills could show feelings of anxiety and depression which will affect their learning. A child with anxiety and or depression would probably be noticeable to other children causing social awkwardness. Physical disabilities can also be a social challenge in any setting, curiosity of the unknown by surrounding children can present insecurities for a child with a physical disability. This may cause a child to retreat from social activities, because they fear the questions, staring and difference of treatment. • 41. Dr. Samenow Analysis Dr. Samenow for example says that teens look for acceptance and love not found at home .He also says gangs resemble family solutions( gang of a lack of family structure) such as friendship , love, and family. Concerning gangs, Samenow points out that not all families living in gang infested neighborhoods have children who get involved in the gangs. It s common to refer to them as unsocialized, but the dyssocial sociopath does socialize to the mores and values of a dyssocial outgroup, like a gang. That these teens and young adults socialize with similar minded peers leads to self reinforcing affinity groups without real boundaries or structures, since the older gang leaders are dead or imprisoned and no longer on the street.Though their ... After 2014 inspections were made and no flaws were detected so it was left unchanged. In 1967, the construction crew had the task of spanning the Tex Wash to connect the freeway between California and Arizona along the Chuckwalla Mountains. They decided the best, and most cost effective, way of doing this is by channeling a dry riverbed and narrowing it where the bridge was to stand. The columns of the bridge were to stand on their foundations which was sitting on the soil and the banks of the bridges were given large rocks to protect their foundation from being washed away (Kelman). They can be caused by several different events including the undercutting a slope, or wearing away at the base of a hill from underground, because of stream erosion, or heavy or lengthy rainfall, rapid snowmelts, quick changes in groundwater. Other causes are seismic activity from construction or earthquakes or placing to much weight at the top of a hill. Some types of soil, such as clay or silt, are more prone to landslides than others so you must always learn more about the local geology and use geological mapping to detect slope hazards before building. There are multiple types of landslides (ADD PICTURES OF EACH AND MOVE TEXT ACCORDINGLY) like a slide, parallel movement along weak planes, a creep, slow movement of debris over a long period, a slump, ground falling in on itself in some places and moving downhill, a topple, objects tumbling end over end, a fall, falling objects possibly caused by a stream undercutting a bank or cliff, a flow, a mass moving in a water like fashion downhill, or a torrent, which is a random rapid release of water and other material (BC Geological Survey of the B.C. It is used to observe specific behaviors related to the topic being studied are recorded. Further, attempts are made to eliminate bias of any kind that could skew the observation s findings by tasking multiple observers with watching for the same behaviors and also repeating the observation. Systematic observation is often used as the starting point for research. You need to know something before you can decide whether it needs further research. The biggest disadvantage is the fact that it is very time consuming and that people often change their behavior when they know they are being watched. This means, you could observe them without them knowing it or you should ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the most important aspects of 3G wireless technology is its ability to unify existing cellular standards, such as CDMA, GSM, and TDMA, under one umbrella. It improves the efficiency of data can be transferred through the cellular phone. The data transfer rates for third generation mobile telecommunications is up to 2 Megabits per second. Aside from this feature, 3G cellular phones also have conventional voice, fax and data services, as well as high resolution video and multimedia services which can be used while on the move. It also includes mobile office services such as virtual banking and online billing, video conferencing, online entertainment and access to the Internet. • 45. The Epidemic Of The Ebola Outbreak Of West Africa Crisis is a word used to describe a situation that has reached a critical phase. In order to minimize the effects after an incident occurs, a crisis manager sets out to indemnify the area. A crisis can be globally felt and personally felt. One major global crisis in recent history was the Ebola virus outbreak, and one personal crisis I have experienced is a bipolar crisis. The Ebola outbreak in West Africa first broke the news in March 2014. Considered an epidemic, this outbreak killed five times more than any other Ebola outbreak combined. The virus is traced back to a two year old toddler who died in a south eastern Guinea small village in December 2013. It took nearly three months for the health officials to identify the cause of people s illness was Ebola. At that point, the virus had already spread and was set to explode around the world. West Africa was not prepared for this type of epidemic, the clinics had never managed this type of case, there was no laboratory to diagnose the patients, and the government had never witnessed that type of upheaval. The people initially denied the crisis because they didn t understand why, how, or what had hit them. The past outbreaks were in rural areas with few cases in highly populated areas, and the major fix was the isolate the infected. Since the virus was so widely spread the control could no longer be isolation, supportive care was the new aim. Basic public health, however, was not easily found in the three ...
