Reflective writing involves examining a personal experience, connecting it to relevant theories and literature, and identifying lessons learned and how to improve future performance. It is not simply describing an event but using evidence and analysis to reflect on strengths and weaknesses. Reflective writing promotes deep learning and helps make connections between theory and real-world experiences by analyzing what went well, what didn't, and how to do things differently next time. It is usually structured with an introduction, body paragraphs analyzing key issues, and a conclusion summarizing lessons learned.
