3. INTRODUCTION
The national policy on education(NPE) is a policy formulated by the
government of India to promote education amongst India’s people. The
policy covers elementary education to colleges in both rural and urban
India. The first NPE was promulgated in 1968 by the government of Prime
Minister Indira Gandhi and the second by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in
1986.

5. AIM OF EDUCATION ACCORDING TO NPE

Education is essential for all.
The goals of socialism, secularism and democracy enshrined in our
constitution.
Education should develop manpower for different levels of economy.

6. PEDAGOGY ACCORDING TO NPE 1986
Pedagogy refers to science of teaching.
In other words it may called as curriculum transaction.
Curriculum indicates the content, concept, aims, topic,
activities etc: where as pedagogy focus on how to transact
these content, concept and principles.

9. INTRODUCTION
The NCF 2005 is one of the four national curriculum frameworks published
in 1975, 1988, 2000 and 2005 by the NCERT in India.
NCF 2005 has been translated into 22 language and influenced the syllabus
in 17 states.
The framework provides for making syllabus, textbooks and teaching
practices within the school education programs with India.
