Raj Rewal is an Indian architect born in 1934 in Hoshiyarpur, Punjab. He received his education in India and the UK. After working in London and Paris, he returned to New Delhi in 1962 to start his own architectural practice. Some of Rewal's notable works include the Asian Games Village, Sheikh Sarai Housing Complex, and the State Trading Corporation building. His designs were influenced by traditional Indian urban planning and architecture, featuring elements like courtyards, streets, and open spaces. He sought to incorporate local styles and materials while applying modern construction techniques.
