members of a high social class pursuing careers in theatre, Stanislavski maintained the courage to

followed by a review of Stanislavski s career in theatre. Finally, the paper will discuss Stanislavski
s impact on modern theatre direction and why he is viewed as one of the most influential directors

Gass, Sydorenko, Winke (2013) investigated foreign language learners behavior on captioned
videos. Their investigation aroused from various previous studies that showed positive evidence of
the effectiveness of captioned video in improving learners skill. However, many of prior studies did
not provide exact measurement on which part(s) learners paid attention to when they watched
captioned and non captioned video. The absence of precise measurement limited the finding of the
previous studies (Gass, Sydorenko, Winke 2013). Therefore, using eye tracking device, they wanted
to observe how often foreign languagelearners read captions on captioned videos. They also
intended to investigate whether specific foreign language and the familiarity of the video content
play role in learners attention to the captions.
Thirty three college level foreign language learners who are in their fourth semester were
included in this study. They are English speaker learners of Arabic (n = 7), Chinese (n = 7),

and philosophies. Bronfenbrenner s theory of systems, Vygotsky s social development theory,
Marcia s theory of the identity, Arnett s theory of emerging adulthood, and Kraft s theory of the
family system are all seen throughout Craig s life. Urie Bronfenbrenner presented his theory of
ecological systems in 1979. In his theory, Bronfenbrenner claims that there are four systems that
work in concert with one another to affect the behavior of an individual (Lobb, 2016). The four
systems that Bronfenbrenner posed were the microsystem, relatable to one s home, the mesosystem,
considered one s home and school, the exosystem, which are organizations outside of school, and
