1a. According to Watt, Defoe s transition from literary traditionalism to true individual experience
mostly distinguishes Defoe from earlier writers. Defoe also rejects the traditional plot series, which
sets him apart from writers like Chaucer, Spenser, Shakespeare, and Milton, who accepted the
general premise of their times that, since Nature is essentially complete and unchanging in records,
whether scriptural, legendary or historical, constitute[s] a definitive repertoire of human experience
(366). Meaning that Defoe did not just reiterate plots from previous literature, which turn out to be
romanticized versions of historical legends and periods in history.
1b. I believe that Watt is accurate and that Defoe distinguishes his writing from others by making an
emphasis on the individual character. Most of the earlier writers based their prose around a test of
faith or trial that the protagonist either passes or fails. Most of these characters signify bigger
themes, such as Una in The Faerie Queen, who stood for the one true faith of England, and other
characters were based around significant people in feudal system such as Queen Elizabeth I, or
Saint George: Patron of England. Every part of the stories signified something more significant,
whereas Defoe takes his novel and tells the story of Moll Flanders.

We were told the patient had oliguria which is low urine output, the patient passed 100ml in 24
hours which is well below the normal 750ml. This indicates some serious damage somewhere in the
genitourinary system but this does necessarily indicate a kidney prognosis and could be due to
other organ pathologies which cause low urine output such as prostatitis or a UTI (Klahr and

these factors point to inflammation as the cause of the damage as this would cause the deposition
of the hyaline material, lead to the exudate as vascular permeability is increased and also lead to the
infiltration of immune cells into the reactive tissue.

It is from my understanding as well for this scenario, the steps provided in the continuity plan for
evacuation has everyone reporting to the 1st floor no matter what. If the situation, fire, hazmat spill,
or anything else is on the first floor, then where are the personnel to evacuate to then? There should
not be a designated evacuation point inside the facility. Each individual office EW should have a
designated spot outside of the facility to report to for accountability. This would prevent personnel
from entering into a hazard that has occurred. There should be primary and alternate directions of
travel for the personnel to get to the designated location, and a primary and alternate designated
location. The EW should designate a person to take the accountability; at that time the EW can
contact the Operational Emergency Management Teams (OEMT s) while everyone else waits for
further instructions. The OEMT should also have an alternate designated location if the 1st floor is
unavailable or could be in the affected cordoned area. These steps should be just for short term
actions. For long term actions, there should be coordination with nearby facilities to conduct
