- 3. For my front cover there has been a dramatic difference in comparison of the magazines. Creating the school magazine gave me an understanding of how to use programs for my music magazine. It gave me some practice of how to use Indesign and Photoshop ect. I had to play around with Photoshop and gain some practice because I didn't edit my images that much on my school magazine. I have edited the front cover image on my music magazine to make it look a lot more professional compared to my school magazine, which I didn’t edit. As you can see the background on my music magazine is completely white unlike the school magazine, it has shadows. I also didn't ask the target audience for what they wanted the magazine to look like. This meant that I was only limited to my ideas and what I preferred. However, for my music magazine, I made a lot more research and questions to what appealed to my target audience in a music magazine. I also took inspiration from other professional music magazines such as ‘Q magazine’. By doing this I was more clear and understanding on how to create a professional look at a higher standard music magazine.

Overall with the text on the front cover, my music magazine looks a lot more creative and interesting compared to my school magazine e.g instead of just plain writing by the sides of the school magazine, I have used boxes that includes text on my music magazine. The text on my school magazine looks a lot more boring. I have learnt to be a lot more creative with my music magazine then the School magazine, as well with the models used on the front cover. The masthead on my music magazine looks a lot more bold and creative unlike the school mast head. The colours I also used on the front cover of the school magazine is a light colour and doesn't stand out at all. That was a major improvement I made o my music magazine.
- 6. Comparing the both contents page of my magazines, you can tell straight away that my music magazine looked a lot more professional. The layout looks a lot more professional on my music magazine. My school magazine looks very simply and is not very attractive. It looks boring to read and only contains 2 images. For every story on my music magazine on the content page includes an image. This is more eye appealing for the target audience. Comparing the images taken on the school magazine to my music magazine, they are all good quality images. However, I did not edit the images in the school magazine but on my music magazine I edited the background of the images. The colours used (as I mentioned on my front cover) on the school magazine are very light, making it harder to read, and not eye catching.
- 7. I had a lot more time to work on my final magazine (music magazine) then my school magazine, giving me more time to edit and work on it to make it look like a more professional magazine. We also had time to create a DPS for our magazine. I found this page quite simple to create since I got a lot of experience making it from designing the front cover and content page. It enquired a lot of text which was simple and I could be very creative with that I wrote about which I had fun creating this page. I also learnt a lot about using columns for designing this page. This was the only page which I had to cut the writing to make it go round the images, e.g. In the box with Lily, the writing had to go round the shape of her body.
