Question 6- what have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
Pre-production
We are analysing what we have learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing our opening two minutes of our film. One of the first things we used
was the internet. We done this to research what age groups was the best for our film
and what audience group would be attracted to our film. We also done our surveys
on survey monkey. Then we put our survey online which really gets our surveys a lot
of results. By distributing our surveys online and putting them on social media then
we got a wide range of results. We knew by putting them on social media it would
help us with knowing what our target audience likes and wants.
We used emaz to create our questionnaire’s and after when done that then we would
get the embedded code form the site to then move the embed code to my blog to then
be able to post the questionnaire on my blog. I also got the embed codes from YouTube
to put on mu blog such as when we uploaded our camera footage on YouTube then we
had to get the embed code off of that to them be able to post it on our blogs.
We used Panasonic HC-V210 to video the interviews for our two main characters Carter
and Grace. I used word press for my blog which made my blog look formal and efficient.
There was many different things on my blog I done to make sure everything was in order
and to make sure everything was there it’s meant to be. The date and time was very
important because it made sure my blog was all in the correct order. I could change the
date and time of the posts that I posted to make sure that if I needed to change a post to
a different date or time then it was very easy to do so. Uploading and embedding was
very easy and it was very important because I had to make sure that everything was in
the right place and I had to make sure I had the embed code correct and in the correct
place. I also looked at different themes on my blog because that’s what made it affection
and formal.
Post production and Production
The main thing we had to do in post-production and production was use iMovie. We had to
important video clips off of our camera that we recorded our opening two minutes on to IMovie.
After it was then on iMovie then we had to make sure all of our clips that we recorded on that day
or on that week was on iMovie. Also you have to make sure the videos you want to use is in the
order you want them in. Then I have to start trimming clips down and putting them in the right
order and making sure that there’s no shaking of the camera at the end of clips.
We shorted out the pace of our shots to make sure that our pace was changed so some of our
shots could be more affective and reflect the action in genre. We added a pace on the shot of our
main character Crater when he was about to walk into the house. We cropped shots to make sure
that they fitted them frame properly.
Planning and research
All of our planning and all of our research has to go some were. So everyone in my class had
their own ‘edublog’ which meant everyone was able to post and show all of their work and
research they had done. On our blogs we could categories blog entries and also edit the date
and time when they are published. Also we learnt to upload photos and videos onto our blogs
and also add them to posts. By both drag and dropping them or by using the embed code to
make sure they has secure on our blogs.
The exhibition is were we get to show off our finished product. We used YouTube to upload
the final version of our opening two minute productions then submit the embed close to
publish it onto our blogs for everyone to see.

Question 6

  • 1. Question 6- what have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
  • 2. Pre-production We are analysing what we have learnt about technologies from the process of constructing our opening two minutes of our film. One of the first things we used was the internet. We done this to research what age groups was the best for our film and what audience group would be attracted to our film. We also done our surveys on survey monkey. Then we put our survey online which really gets our surveys a lot of results. By distributing our surveys online and putting them on social media then we got a wide range of results. We knew by putting them on social media it would help us with knowing what our target audience likes and wants.
  • 3. We used emaz to create our questionnaire’s and after when done that then we would get the embedded code form the site to then move the embed code to my blog to then be able to post the questionnaire on my blog. I also got the embed codes from YouTube to put on mu blog such as when we uploaded our camera footage on YouTube then we had to get the embed code off of that to them be able to post it on our blogs. We used Panasonic HC-V210 to video the interviews for our two main characters Carter and Grace. I used word press for my blog which made my blog look formal and efficient. There was many different things on my blog I done to make sure everything was in order and to make sure everything was there it’s meant to be. The date and time was very important because it made sure my blog was all in the correct order. I could change the date and time of the posts that I posted to make sure that if I needed to change a post to a different date or time then it was very easy to do so. Uploading and embedding was very easy and it was very important because I had to make sure that everything was in the right place and I had to make sure I had the embed code correct and in the correct place. I also looked at different themes on my blog because that’s what made it affection and formal.
  • 4. Post production and Production The main thing we had to do in post-production and production was use iMovie. We had to important video clips off of our camera that we recorded our opening two minutes on to IMovie. After it was then on iMovie then we had to make sure all of our clips that we recorded on that day or on that week was on iMovie. Also you have to make sure the videos you want to use is in the order you want them in. Then I have to start trimming clips down and putting them in the right order and making sure that there’s no shaking of the camera at the end of clips. We shorted out the pace of our shots to make sure that our pace was changed so some of our shots could be more affective and reflect the action in genre. We added a pace on the shot of our main character Crater when he was about to walk into the house. We cropped shots to make sure that they fitted them frame properly.
  • 5. Planning and research All of our planning and all of our research has to go some were. So everyone in my class had their own ‘edublog’ which meant everyone was able to post and show all of their work and research they had done. On our blogs we could categories blog entries and also edit the date and time when they are published. Also we learnt to upload photos and videos onto our blogs and also add them to posts. By both drag and dropping them or by using the embed code to make sure they has secure on our blogs. The exhibition is were we get to show off our finished product. We used YouTube to upload the final version of our opening two minute productions then submit the embed close to publish it onto our blogs for everyone to see.
