during the process
• During the process of making our film, I used a lot of different
technologies I’d never used before to research and produce the film
as well as possible.

• These technologies included the blogging website to present all our
tasks and iMovie and YouTube, to produce and present the film.
Also, websites such as Glogster, Prezi and SkyDrive to present written
information.
• These technologies made the process more simple and the overall
products look better.

3. Editing Software iMovie
iMovie was a simple piece
of software to edit on as
everything was laid out
very simple making it easy
to use. Using iMovie on a
Mac meant we didn’t
have to downgrade the
footage to a lower quality
which we would have had
to do had we used a
normal computer and
Adobe.
I had never used iMovie
properly before this
project and although I was
not the editor, I found it
easy to use when I
needed to.

4. Using YouTube to present the film
In order for our film to
be able to be
viewed, I had to
upload it to YouTube
to get an embed
code for my blog. As
it’s a school piece it
had to be set to
private.
YouTube is a simple
website to use and
provides an embed
code so is the easiest
way for our film to be
viewed.

5. Blogging website
To upload all the
research leading up to
the production of the
film, I had to use a
blogging website linked
to Gmail. I’d never used
any type of blogging
website before this so
struggled with choosing
the right HTML
codes/embed codes
etc. However, by the
end I found it very simple
to use and a really nice
easy way to present
everything with the
labels and being able to
edit the blog to how you
wanted it to look.

6. Presenting websites
I used many different
websites to present the
written information I needed
to for the production. A few
of these included Prezi,
Glogster and PowToon, none
of which I had used prior to
this production. Since I had
never used anything like
these before I struggles a lot
to begin with. However once
I learnt to use them I found
the much simpler and a
really good way of
presenting quite long written
information in a more
interesting creative way.

7. SlideShare and SkyDrive
I used programmes such as
SlideShare and SkyDrive to
upload some of documents
before getting an embed
code for my blog. Some
programmes I made my
research tasks etc on didn’t
provide an embed code, or
when they did it made the
pictures very grainy when I
uploaded it to my blog.
SlideShare and SkyDrive
allowed the good quality to
be kept and gave an
embed code.
