What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing
this product.

2. PHOTOGRAPHY
In constructing this media product, I was able to learn how to use the
Cannon EOS 60D camera. It is a very nice product, and I was able to
take very clear and high definition photographs for my magazine, I was
able to learn how to change the ISO of the camera, which tells the
camera how much light is should let in or not, to make the picture bright
if it is being shot in a dark environment. I was also able to learn different
focusing techniques, like a pull focus or shallow focus.

3. PHOTOGRAPHY
I also used the Canon EOS 60D to record the interview that I constructed and
took part in by asking my friend questions about my magazine. It was easy to
record on the camera has it had built in microphone and I also had the
advantage of being able to change the “ISO”, how much light the camera
lets into the lens. I was also able to manually adjust the focus of the lens.

4. LIGHTING
When I took my photo’s of my models, the lighting was not from professional lighting equipment,
all that was required for me to get the type of light I need to my photo’s was a fluorescent light
tube. Although there was professional lighting equipment available for me to use, where I took
my picture was just to perfect for me that I did bother anymore to use it anymore. The white
background of where I took my photo’s help contribute to the bright lighting of my photo’s that
I took. However on Photoshop, I was able to enhance the lighting of some of my photo’s using
the image tool curves .

5. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Although I have previously use Photoshop, I have learnt how to use a lot of it’s
tools that I have not used before. I learnt how to use the magic wand tool to
cut a person out of the image there in and place them in another image or
background of my like. I was also able to learn the clipping effect, which allow
me to clip any image of my liking on top of the font I am using to make it look
like the font is part of the image.
I have also learnt how to use effects like inner shadow and drop shadow
which made my magazine look so good and different. I also learnt how to use
filter, like Gaussian blur, and I also learnt how to use the image adjustment
tools like curves, which help in adjusting the image brightness and contrast.

6. SOFTWARE
I have used various software and web application to create the
document for my evaluation, and to make my evaluation as
creative as possible. I have use software and web applications like
Prezi, PowerPoint, Word, SlideShare and Scribd. Some of the
application named, I have never used before, however since
creating this product, I have learnt how to use them and the
animation and effect I am able to do to document.

7. SOFTWARE
I also use and online video creator called stupeflix, which allows people to
create a video by uploading images, recorded videos and adding animations
and text to them. The website gives several different templates that users will
be able to do. Some of those templates will be free for the free users, and
some are for the users who have a premium account which is paid for. The
video creator/ editor is very easy to use and allows you to preview how the
video would like whilst still adding more to it .
