Throughout producing a magazine, the student learned to use several new technologies: A Canon 600D camera to take clear photos and adjust lighting for effects, Photoshop to edit images by adjusting qualities and removing imperfections, and the Internet and YouTube for research and tutorials on using the software and camera.

1. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?

2. Throughout the process of my production I used a lot of technologies
that I had never used before. I have learned ways to use this
technology in order to have the best possible outcome for my
production.
The technologies that I used for my production were:
. Cannon 600D camera
. Lighting
. Imac
. Microsoft Powerpoint
. Adobe Photoshop
. Internet explorer
. YouTube

3. CAMERA AND LIGHTING
I used the cannon 600D camera to take the photos for my production. I
was able to see the image on the screen so it was easy to see what
lighting needed adjusting in order to get the right amount of light and
shadow on my models face. It was also easy to adjust the focus of the
camera so that my images would be as clear as possible.
I learned to use the lighting to adjust it to create the perfect lighting for
the effect I wanted for my magazine, I was able to create lighting that
highlighted all of the key features and get an image that popped.

4. PHOTOSHOP
Through using photoshop I was able to edit my images making them
the best quality possible. I was able to adjust the brightness, focus, I
could also manipulate the images getting rid of any imperfections by
using the skin healing tool and the blur tool. Photoshop was also good
for layering different images and texts. I was able to make sure all of
the text I used was perfectly aligned so it all looked tidy and nice to look
at.

5. INTERNET EXPLORER AND YOUTUBE
I used the internet and youtube for the research part of my production
and to access my blog. I was able to find information on other
magazines and discover different codes and conventions of music
magazines that I was then able to use to help create my magazine.
I used youtube to look at tutorials for learning how to use the camera
and photoshop etc.
