The document discusses selecting the Bauer Media Group to distribute a proposed magazine called Smoov, which focuses on R&B music. The Bauer Media Group is a large international media company that distributes over 600 magazines worldwide. It was chosen because Bauer does not currently have a magazine targeting the urban music genre, like R&B, leaving a gap in their niche market that Smoov could fill. Distributing Smoov through the Bauer Media Group would provide access to their existing successful brands and wide retail and digital distribution channels, helping Smoov reach a broader audience internationally.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Question 3
1. Question 3
What kind of media institution
might distribute your media
product and why?
Afeez Akintoye
2. Initial Research
I did some initial research, in order to find a
media institution that will be very suitable for
my media product. Now I’ve ended up in
selecting the Bauer Media Group to distribute
my magazine.
3. The Bauer Media Group
Bauer Media Group is a large and
international media institution from Europe,
head-quartered in Hamburg, Germany.The
multi-platform collects around two main
divisions: Magazines and Radio. It manages a
portfolio of more than 600 magazines, over
400 digital products and 50 radio andTV
stations around the world.
4. These are all the
brands in the
Bauer Media
Group.
Some of their very
recognised
magazines are
Kerrang, Q, MOJO,
GRAZIA etc.
5. The Bauer Media Group distributes a magazine, called Q
that focuses on the majority of mainstream genres and
film, but it is mostly made up of reviews. Also, most
magazines that the media institution releases are devoted
to rock e.g. MOJO.This causes them to have a target
market made up with a greater number of adults and lack
of a proper urban music magazine.
6. I strongly feel that the Bauer Media Group would benefit
from distributing my magazine, as they haven't got a
circulation that focuses on urban music like R&B alone.
Smoov will help fill this gap in their niche market. R&B
music is a mainstream genre that is very popular by
today's generation, including there will be less competition
with any of their other multi-platform media in the media
group, as each focuses on something different.
7. Furthermore when Smoov is surrounded by all of their
successful brands that the institution distributes (e.g.
MOJO and KISS), my magazine will blossom in sales and
will create the Bauer Media Group with a much higher
audience ranging from older teenager and young adults
and so increase the sales and profits made by the
company.
8. Where/How Smoov would be distributed
My magazine, Smoov would be distributed into retail
outlets, for exampleWH Smith, supermarkets such as Asda
andTesco who have a partnership with the Bauer Media
Group, including convenience stores, newsstands and
bookstores across the country.
9. The Bauer Media Group also supports its brands
with digital, so their audience are able to visit the
websites of all of their magazines through the
internet. My magazine has on each footer, its
website shown for them to remember my
magazine’s website. Reaching my magazine
through online as well, will enable it to reach a
wider audience worldwide.Also my target
audience who are always on their smart phones or
on their computer will be able to have access
through my magazine when surfing through the
internet or on the go.
