Film Four would be a good media institution to distribute the film because they support micro-budget films like the one being proposed. Film Four has previously backed and shown micro-budget films on their channel, like the film Shifty, giving those films exposure to audiences. Social media marketing of posters, trailers on sites like YouTube and interactions on Twitter and Facebook would help promote the film and get audience feedback. These modern digital methods are effective because most adults and teens now use social networking sites. The proposed film is similar to the micro-budget British film Shifty that gained distribution through Film Four.

I think that the media institution who may distribute our film is Film Four. The reason as to why I select
Film Four is because they distribute micro budget films which ours is and they go ahead to invest in
he film if they see it has a lot of potential. Examples where they have done this is with the film shifty it
was a micro budget film. Film Four backed this film and showed in on their channel so that the
audience had an opportunity to see the film.

3. WHY FILM FOUR
Why I chose Film Four was because they support the micro budget films, they give the opportunity to let the
audience see our films while others wouldn’t such as companies from the big six such 20th century Fox
because there is no one known in the film such as big actors.

4. MARKETING
The marketing that we could do with our film is that we could put posters up around places where people
could see the film, it would stand out to them as we could use eye catching posters so people stop to look
at them and think they would have to give the film a watch. Also on top of this we will put a trailer up so
people can see beforehand and they will be prepared as to what they could expect to see. Also we would
make social networking sites such as twitter, face book so we can interact with the audience and see what
they have to say.

5. WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR DISTRIBUTING YOUR
FILMS BY THESE METHODS?
These methods were chosen because now a days adults and teenagersknow how to use social networking
sites. By using this method the audience as said before can interact with us and tell us what they thought of
the film and if they liked it or not. Youtube is a good source to see the trailer as anyone can access it and
come across the trailer so they may come across it unexpectedly and may even like it.

6. COMPARE OUR FILM TO REAL EXAMPLES
In comparing our film it is similar to Shifty. The reason for this is that as Shifty was a micro budget film which
then was shown on Film Four. This is the same as our film as it too is also a micro budget film which I think
could go on to be show on Film Four.
