Institution Question

2.  After looking on the internet and researching
a range of different media institutions I
decided I think my magazine could be
published by IPC media.Icp has over 60
media brands and is very popular with
adults. I feel that there is a space for my
magazine in their market.

3.  IPC also publish their magazines that are on
“multi platform media propositions this
would be perfect as my target audience are a
younger generation they will enjoy being
able to use different types of technology to
access my magazine such as being able to
have it on their smart phones.

4.  IPC has a large fan rate at the moment for
their current target audience such as 1.1
million fans per week this would mean that
by having my magazine as a new one for a
new target audience it would increase their
fan base and sales. Their current target
audience is 16-24 year olds on their music
magazine MNE I would be lowering this and
broadening their target audience

5.  ICP only has a couple of music and general magazines aimed at
young adults such as Teen now! This is very popular and I feel
that with more magazines that are specifically for teenagers
would sell quickly. Their music products are mainly rock
magazines. They do not currently sell any product that is like my
magazine therefor this could open up a new target audience for
them.

6.  They have a lot of women magazines (that are about fashion (look and
Now) and domestic magazines (ideal home and style at home).My
magazine is very girly and because there magazines are very popular with
women I feel that they could also be very popular with girls. My magazine
has fashion advice and beauty. Therefor they could have a younger adults
version of their already published magazines like look and now but that
contain more music based information and appropriate gossip for my
target audience that is young females (13-17)

7.  I also chose Ipc as it is still experienced in producing and
publishing music magazines that are successful. Many of
their magazines are aimed at men predominantly this is
shown by the dominance of men on their magazine covers
and them having a young males section as their target
audience. I feel my magazine could open doors for them
and broaden their marketing to different people.
