The document discusses the effectiveness of linking together a main music product (album) and ancillary materials (digipak, poster, music video).
Key points made:
- The digipak, poster, and music video were designed to link through consistent use of color palette, font, imagery, and monochrome style.
- Black, white, and grey were used to focus on song lyrics and convey negative emotions. Monochrome style also links the digipak and video.
- Layout of poster highlights album cover and digipak highlights front/back covers of singer to make them recognizable.
The creator believes the materials successfully link through synergy of color and design while still

Agile Isn't What You Do (It's What You Think)Derek W. Wade
As Martin Fowler pointed out at keynote for Agile Tour Toronto 2010, there are 1900's-era mental models in use which affect software development today.
I go into a bit more depth about mental models, and propose an alternate to help guide Agile work -- in IT or in other domains.
We finish with the InnovationGame(tm) "Give Them A Hot Tub" to help attendees solidify the benefits of a model other than Taylorism.
My evaluation question 2, talking about how my my digipak and poster fit the conventions of something or other. Basically done it so that I can complete the A-level and hopefully get something out of my life which probably won't happen as I have no idea of what I am doing but hey, lets live in the moment and not worry about the future until you're there. Then you can break down and cry as you still haven't figured out what you're doing!

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
1. How effective is the combination of
your main product and the ancillary
texts?
Rachel Beck
2. ● I tried to make the three tasks link as much as
possible when I was creating them. I did this by
linking the colours, font, and lighting.
● I realised that it was important that the target
audience knew and could see the link between
the three tasks
3. Images
● The images which I took
look similar. This is
because I took the
images in a photography
studio, making them look
more professional due to
the lighting, angles and
the control over the
location and the colours.
● I took multiple images in
the studio so I had a
variety.
4. Colour Scheme
● I kept the digipak, music video and the
poster quite simple with a small colour
palette. I used the colours black, grey
and white to bring the focus mainly on
the song lyrics and what they convey.
● The colour black connotes death and
other negative emotions as opposed to
the colour white which connotes
positivity.
● The grey brings balance to the cover as
it is a balanced colour. Furthermore, the
colour is often assosiated with
depression which is what the song is
about.
5. Text
● I used the same font to create
synergy between the texts.
● The cursive font was used as
the band name and the title of
the songs on the digipak. It was
also used on the poster as extra
information. I changed the text
size so it was smaller. This
highlighted the album name on
the poster.
● The plain font was used to write
the ablum name and the song
lyrics on different pages of the
digipak. I kept the album name
in the same font on the poster.
However, I changed the size to
make it bigger in order to make
it the most prominent text.
6. Design
● I believe my texts have synergy with each other
due to the specific way they were constructed
● Each text shows the lead singer who will be
easily recognisable to the fans of the band.
● The back cover of the digipak is in
monochrome which links to the video as it is
also in monochrome. In addition to this, the
poster also contains the colours black and
white which are the main colours throughout
the three texts.
7. Layout
● The layout
of the poster
highlights
the album
cover as the
main focus.
It is over
half of the
page with
additional
information,
such as the
release
date,
website and
the social
media links.
● The layout of the digipak
highlights the lead singer in
both the front and back
covers which will make the
artist more recognisable to
more people. The hands on
the inside cover represent
the artist and how he is
clinging onto his life, this is
represented in the song
“Goner”.
8. Successful?
● I think they are successful as they show a clear link of synergy through the
use of colour and design.
● I am very happy with my digipak and my poster as I think they link very
well. This is predominantly due to the colour scheme and the layout of both
texts.
● Due to the cover of the ablum being the main focus on the poster, it will be
very easily recognizable to audiences when it is on sale in shops.
● The colour of the poster is black whoch contrasts against the white of the
ablum cover. Furthermore, the social media links are shown at the bottom
of the poster so the audience can get further updates from the band. They
can also see that the ablum is “coming soon” which creates anticipation
with the audience.
● Although I do like how my music video turned out, it wasn't my initial idea,
which I believe would've worked better to link the ancillary tasks to the
music video. To compinsate for the changed idea, I changed the color of
the video to make it almost colourless or with a tint of colour.
9. Theory
A realist narrative is shown in my music video
when the performer is practicing in the
recording studio. This contrasts to the ani-
realist narrative when he is singing next to the
river. It implies to the audience that the singer
finds escape in performing.
● The non-linear narrative is also shown in my
video as the sequence of the singer performing
is interrupted by the almost dream like
sequence when he's singing by the river.
