 My target audience for my media product is 17 to
25 year old males that enjoy indie music. Due to
the age range I have directed my product to I have
made it a low price so that I know they can afford
it, £4. My target audience would commonly shop at
places such as charity shops, Urban Outfitters,
SCRT, Stope etc. The life style they would live is
relaxed, they enjoy playing instruments, culture
and arts, drawing, watching live gigs.
 They would be describes as ‘Indie Scenesters’
they enjoy new music and searching for the
new things. They will search long and hard
for new artists so that they can say they have
heard of the artist/s after they become a hit.
They are willing to try new things and are
open to all genres of music. Normally they
will wear vintage or homemade clothes
although the will change their look depending
in the genre of music they are listening.
 Sam is a 17 Year old male from Lutterworth, in his spare
time Sam enjoys playing various instruments and
performing at local venues. He says that his inspiration for
music comes from a variety of artists that are not well
known, such as Hudson Taylor and Frank Turner. On Sam’s
phone you will all types of music genres as he enjoys
listening to the difference between genres. His style is very
important to him as he likes to be ahead of the trends,
often he will be wearing clothes from the charity shop,
ASOS or vintage this is because he does not want to fit in
with the majority, he wants to be a trend setter not a
follower. Sam works at a local tea room as he is being paid
a little above minimum wage he does not have a lot of
money to spend on himself, he uses his money to buy
music at HMV and buy music magazines so that he can
keep up to date with indie artists.
