Q3
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Documentary
From feedback on the documentary I have learned that 100% of
people have understood and been able to follow it and that they
enjoyed different aspects of it such as: the interviews, cutaways and
opening title sequence. They also felt that the documentary was
easy to watch also the audience had the opinion that our
documentary was similar to real ones for reasons such as the
interviews and music were similar and the cutaways were realistic.
When put on Facebook and YouTube I learned that people thought it
was “Iikesomething I would actually see in TV” and “Thought it was
nicely edited, and well put together! The whole thing flowed really
well!” However they also said that some things could have been
improved, so I have learned that cutaways needed to be improved
on as one person didn‟t think they linked and that two people
believed the interviews went on for two long.
Radio Trailer
From feedback on the radio trailer I have understood that the
audience considered it to be of good quality as all of them
said they would not change a thing. They also stated that the
trailer made them want to watch the documentary for
reasons like the information was relevant to them and they
wanted to hear the answer to the questions posed in the
trailer, two people even said they really liked the music so
wanted to watch the documentary. 100% of people further
said that the music used in the trailer and the documentary
was effective as it was relevant to the topic after hearing it
in the film „The Social Network‟ (2010). One negative aspect
was that just under one third of people asked said the
voiceover for both radio and documentary was boring so I
have learned that next time a person more suited to narration
 should be the voiceover.
Print Advert
From receiving feedback on the print advert I now know that 9
of 9 people found they would want to watch the documentary
after seeing it. 4 because it was colorful, 3 because of the pun
and 2 because they thought it was clever. All 9 again said it was
aesthetically pleasing and colourful. When put on Facebook one
person said “Really clever the way you‟ve combined the idea
evolution and technology.” Finally I learned that all three
products would make the audience want to watch the
documentary for its entirety. They all stated that it was
intriguing. One third mentioned the print advert had a good pun
and 5 people said it linked well.
