Public relations is concerned with maintaining public image for governments and organizations. Government relations involves engaging with government departments to influence policy making. In developing countries like India, communicating government programs, achievements, and expectations is important. The role of public relations in government is to inform, motivate, change mindsets, and seek public support to achieve organizational objectives. Functions of public relations in government include setting up exhibitions, press publicity, advertising, electronic media, budget and planning, and collecting feedback to keep the government informed. Public relations serves as an important link between the government and people.
