This document provides instructions for configuring PC routing and Squid proxy server on a Linux system. It describes how to enable IP forwarding and NAT, install and configure Squid, set up directories for caching and blocking files, input blocked site keywords, reload the configuration, and set NAT rules to redirect port 80 traffic to the Squid proxy port 3128.

1. PC ROUTING
Set IP FORWARDING
- nano /etc/sysctl.conf
- #hapustandapagarpada ipv4 dan ipv6 forward=1
Set NAT
- nano /etc/rc.local
- #ketik di atas “exit0”
iptables –t nat –A POSTROUTING –o eth0 –j MASQUERADE
CONFIGURATION SQUID
Installing Squid
- apt-get install squid
backup squid.conf
- cp /etc/squid3/squid.conf /etc/squid/squid.conf.bak
configure squid.conf
- nano /etc/squid3/squid.conf
make directory for cache squid proxy
- mkdir /cache
- chownproxy:proxy /cache
- chownproxy:proxy /etc/squid3/squid.conf
make directory for blokir file
- mkdir /etc/squid3/blokir/
- chmod 777 –R /etc/squid3/blokir/blokir.txt
input keyword for forbidden site
- nano /etc/squid3/blokir/blokir.txt
- type any keyword, example : 4shared
- save & exit
reload configuration
- squid3 –k reconfigure
- /etc/init.d/squid3 restart
Set NAT for transparent redirect destination port 80 to 3128
- Nano /etc/rc.local
- type up side exit0
- iptables –t nat –A PREROUTING –p tcp –m tcp –dport 80 –j
REDIRECT –-to-port 3128
- save & exit
- rebootchownproxy:proxy /
