What is it called? go home.
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this? it will be an
entertaining game with an important moral that will be forgotten because nobody really listens to
what’s being told to them.
Genre:
What sort of product is it? It is a game to either be relatable to a sad person or to teach those who
never suffered from depression
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here. It will be about an insomniac with a general sadness inside and issues relating
to psychosis
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person? Teens probably because they either are depressed
or pretend to be depressed to fit in with the ones who are depressed
Research and Planning:
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production? The product
will be very aimed at the ~17 age group, after being researched
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production? I will be using an asset
from the experimenting phase, which was a character.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? Themes will be very dark, but no on screen
death will occur.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? Yes. The age restriction will be for those of 18
years+ to play.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? There will be no mention or relation to specific
groups or people.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? I don’t need to, nobody is mentioned, and they can
see where the story is going throughout
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? No they wont be necessary
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? The closest thing to any other product will be the art style, which is already limited
by the pixel count.
