There is a difference between project based learning and project based activities. Project based learning is an instructional approach that uses authentic real-world projects to engage students and help them learn. It is designed to answer a question or solve a problem similar to what people do outside the classroom. Project based activities on the other hand are simple exercises that students can complete using skills they already have. Project based learning requires students to take responsibility for their own learning and work cooperatively to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

As a part of the series of presentations by the teachers on various pedagogies suggested by NEP 2020, the fourth session dealt with Project Based Learning , where impactful
project based teaching strategies were shared by the group of teachers of Ram Ratna International School.
It showcased various elements of the Project based learning and a role of a teacher for effective PBL from planning to execution. Examples related to different subject and grades were presented during the session. Overall it was a perfect presentation on PBL pedagogy under the leadership of Ms Dhanashri Kotwal and by her teammates Mr. Nilesh Patil, Ms. Shabnam Shaikh and Ms. Soniya Robins.

I will be sharing this via Elluminate with teachers in Alabama who are part of the 21st Century Teaching and Learning project funded by a grant from Microsoft.
Problem based learning is one of the approaches used in presenting the lesson. In this presentation you will know the advantages of using this approach. This also tackles the models needed in implementing this strategy. I have provided an example problem for a more adequate learning.
This was presented at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Sotland, on 29th November 2007. The main focus is Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) but at the end I introduce Second Life and talk about my work with students in SL. Firstly I talked about what IBL is and then moved on to describe the work of the Centre for Inquiry Based Learning in the Arts and Social Sciences (CILASS) which is based at Sheffield University. I mentioned the level 1 module "Inquiry in Infrmation Management" (new last year), where I am part of the teaching team, and in particular I talked about the activity in Second Life with my first year "Information Literacy" class.

Problem-based Learning: PBL is any learning environment in which the problem drives the learning. That is, before students learn some knowledge they are given a problem. The problem is posed so that the students discover that they need to learn some new knowledge before they can solve the problem. Some example problem-based learning environments include:
•research projects
•engineering design projects that are more than a synthesis of previously learned knowledge
