Healing is the bodyโs response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 2. ๏ฝ Today, I have uploaded the images of the blueprints which we are going to use in our opening. ๏ฝ During our opening, the blueprints are moved around and pointed at, suggesting planning. This is common in crime films, particularly those focusing on organised crime, as the characters often plan out jobs and heists with maps and blueprints. We did this to make our opening more suited to the genre. ๏ฝ This task helped me to understand what kind of crime film opening we were going for in more depth, as the blueprints make our opening more realistic for a crime genre.
- 3. ๏ฝ Today, we looked at other film openings to determine what order our titles will appear in. Depending on the situation and the film, some titles appear in different orders- e.g., sometimes the director or producer will be first, whereas other films will show the cast first, sometimes in order of appearance (although this most often appears in the end credits rather than the titles) and in some cases the management for the actors themselves will ask that the actors appear higher up in the credits or titles. ๏ฝ This task was beneficial as we can now see how to produce our titles and in what order.
- 4. ๏ฝ Today, we have chosen to add an extra scene onto the end of our opening to elongate it and give a better insight into the plot of the rest of the film. In this extra scene, a man in smart clothing will watch from behind a tree/some shrubbery as an exchange occurs between the hit man and the boss. We concluded that this should take place in daylight to make it seem more domestic, and that the exchange should be payment for the job we see completed in the first part of the opening. ๏ฝ This task was beneficial as it made me realise that our opening at the moment isn't quite long enough and that by adding in a few more scenes that it will add to our enigma.
- 5. ๏ฝ Today we found this music which is could be used as a possible choice for our opening. ๏ฝ This music we have found is the closest we've come to finding suitable for our opening and what we want to use. We like the idea of having it start very slow and simple at the beginning, during the outside shot, as the music increases in tempo during the montage shots of our opening. The increase in the tempo will mimic the audiences heart rate as they will feel the tension arising and would begin to worry about what's going to happen. ๏ฝ This task was helpful as we have now found some un-copyrighted music which we could potentially use for our opening.
- 6. ๏ฝ Today, I created a timeline we created for our opening, showing us where our titles are going to go and how long they will last for. ๏ฝ This task was beneficial as we can now see exactly how long each title needs to be and how to go about doing this in the most suitable way, therefore adding to our enigma.
- 7. ๏ฝ Today, we have decided to include two institution logos in our opening, as our research showed us that most films had more than one institution involved in their production. On top of our first logo, we decided to have our second one fade to darkness, to set up the opening more smoothly, as the first shot can then fade in from black. ๏ฝ This task was beneficial as we have now thought up of our second institution logo which will work very well with the bright red blame of the match, contrasting with the fade to blacking, therefore adding further enigma to our opening as the red from the match could suggest blood and death to some of our target audience.
- 8. ๏ฝ Today, we filmed our second institution logo. We decided to use an image of a pipe, as it is a British company and we wanted to use a quintessentially British item, leading to the choice of a pipe. We then made the link of naming it Pipeline productions. We also chose this image because it has the link to the smoking scene in the beginning of our opening, and has connotations of importance and organised crime. ๏ฝ This task was successful as the filming of our institution logo looks professional adding further mystery to the opening as the red from the blame could suggest an underlying meaning of blood and danger to the audience, therefore gripping them into our opening from the start.
- 9. ๏ฝ Today, we did a side by side comparison of our movie opening alongside James Bond. Throughout our movie planning process we took many inspirations from this movie. James bond is a movie which has a similar story line and plot to ours. These screenshots both show close ups of the Protagonist. ๏ฝ This task was successful as from looking into James Bond we can see that what we learnt at the BFI came in handy as our opening using typical stereotypical conventions of film openings.
