INTRODUCTION 
Curriculum includes curricular as well as co – curricular activities. Systematic 
study of the learning materials involved represents curricular activities ,where as 
experience through geographical planetarium, geology museum,sea shore etc are 
different that would supplement and enrich the curricular activities are know as co – 
curricular activities. These activities are not extra but an integral part of the curriculum 
and help in the all round development of the child. 
GEOLOGY MUSEUM 
Organization of geology museum can be taken up as a co-curricular 
activity.museums have agreat educative value.these are recreation centeres also.these 
contains non reading meterials,which presents, valuable information concening the past 
periods,events,persons, fossils etc.the museums can procure and maintain various 
meterials that could be effectively used in class room teaching.it is a reference file of real 
objects 
IMPORTENE OF MUSEUM 
1.Museum contains real objects,which makes learning dynamic,Lively,rich and realitics 
2.develope interest among learners to accumulate,preserve,classify and put on reference 
worth while informative material 
3.The teacher can take the students to the museum to observe relevant material if 
available,befor or after teaching a particular lesson 
4.it adds reality to teaching and makes children active it encourages curiosity and self 
education
5.it increces power for thinking and fosters imagination and creativity among students. 
GEOGRAPHICAL PLANITORIUM 
A planetorium consists essentially of a dome usually mounted on the certing of 
ahall to represent the sky.A special projector is used to display images of the celestial 
bodies on the dome.the viewers who are seated below can see the projected image that 
image that will appear to be very realistic 
The projector consists of various individual units for projecting the sun, the moon, the 
planets and the stars.Taped narration and sounded effects add the effectiveness of the 
presentation.
CONCLUTION 
Co-curricular activities like Geology museum, planetorium help a lot to make 
study more effective. it makes the beaching lively and provides direct experience .The 
Geology museum can motivate students to prepare exhibits and satisfy their urge fore 
construction and creativity

  • 2. INTRODUCTION Curriculum includes curricular as well as co – curricular activities. Systematic study of the learning materials involved represents curricular activities ,where as experience through geographical planetarium, geology museum,sea shore etc are different that would supplement and enrich the curricular activities are know as co – curricular activities. These activities are not extra but an integral part of the curriculum and help in the all round development of the child. GEOLOGY MUSEUM Organization of geology museum can be taken up as a co-curricular activity.museums have agreat educative value.these are recreation centeres also.these contains non reading meterials,which presents, valuable information concening the past periods,events,persons, fossils etc.the museums can procure and maintain various meterials that could be effectively used in class room teaching.it is a reference file of real objects IMPORTENE OF MUSEUM 1.Museum contains real objects,which makes learning dynamic,Lively,rich and realitics 2.develope interest among learners to accumulate,preserve,classify and put on reference worth while informative material 3.The teacher can take the students to the museum to observe relevant material if available,befor or after teaching a particular lesson 4.it adds reality to teaching and makes children active it encourages curiosity and self education
  • 3. 5.it increces power for thinking and fosters imagination and creativity among students. GEOGRAPHICAL PLANITORIUM A planetorium consists essentially of a dome usually mounted on the certing of ahall to represent the sky.A special projector is used to display images of the celestial bodies on the dome.the viewers who are seated below can see the projected image that image that will appear to be very realistic The projector consists of various individual units for projecting the sun, the moon, the planets and the stars.Taped narration and sounded effects add the effectiveness of the presentation.
