This document describes several different printing techniques: etching uses metal plates and acid to engrave an image; linocut involves carving an image into linoleum with a knife; screen printing uses a stencil and ink on a frame to print the image; lithography uses a printing plate covered in water and ink; letterpress involves relief printing using blocks of wood; gravure uses tiny holes in a printing plate filled with ink; screen process applies ink to a surface to print the non-inked areas; and photocopying allows copying and enlarging/reducing images using a photocopier.
