To be a successful coach one must be willing continue their education and seek out educational
opportunities. The interview and observation of Coach Payette turned out to be one of the best
educational opportunities I could imagine. I found many similarities between Coach Payette and
myself, but I also found a few areas that we were different. In the areas that we were different, I found
that I could learn to improve in my weaker areas, which will then help me reach the level of care that I

Evaluating Revenue Systems
Perry Christensen (2015) provide insight on the design and administration of a revenue system, as
well as how it is evaluated. A revenue system is a collection of sources that is used by the government
that are extracted through the means of tax and charges. Designing a revenue system is not merely
created from scratch; it is an older system that has been modified to comply with and be accepted by
society. These systems have been trending since the beginning of socioeconomic development and
continue to evolve. Revenue systems are evaluated through a set of criteria; economic efficiency,
equity, feasibility, and adequacy. It is noted that transparency is also part of the criteria, but it is a
separate criterion in itself. Research and evidence examine the set of criteria by focusing on the
income tax and how it has been the main source of revenue for the US Federal government. There
have been many innovations in the technology of tax collection that have been implemented in the US,
and have also been adopted globally by both developed and developing countries. Efforts to improve
current systems and policies are examined based on the set used to evaluate the revenue system. ...

The process of designing of a revenue system, as mentioned by Perry Christensen (2015), raises the
question of how stable can it be, if it will create enough revenue, and if it will be accepted politically.
There is no mention by Holzer Schwester (2015) on the design of a revenue system, but they do
discuss in depth the process by which government builds and plans it budget with the revenue that is
created through tax systems. Before any revenue system or budget can be implemented, it must be
evaluated in order for it to be accepted by taxpayers and how the changes in the economy will affect

My Childhood Dream Day Of The Zoo
I was at the front gate of the zoo. This is day marks the first year anniversary that I got hired to do my
childhood dream job. Everything about this job is fantastic. I get to take care all the wonderful
animals. I get to see all the little kid s wonder in their eyes when they watch their favorite animals
right in front of them. I love it.
Charlie my boss Linda waves me over. She looks worried or tired. I can t tell. Yes what is it? I ask her.
Charlie three of the animals escaped from their cages. I don t know what I m going to do. Well which
three is it? I ask. The white lion, Frost, the new baby elephant, Phineas, and one of the scarlet macaws,
I don t know which one though. Linda takes a deep breath. I ve decided to team up the zookeepers in
teams of three but we are missing the twins. So what do we do right now? I ask. Go to the break room
that s where everybody else is. I head to the break room. Charlie , my coworkers say in unison. I don t
talk, I just take a seat at the table rubbing my forehead. I m starting to get a headache due to all this
stress that was brought upon my shoulders. About ten minutes later one of my coworkers, Roseanne
gets a call from her walkie talkie from Linda. Roseanne, can you hear me Yes Linda I can Great, the
twins just arrived so I need everybody out and to circle around me.
Once we all got in a circle, Linda started to make groups of 3. So let s see if there s 18 of you then
there needs to be 6 groups of 3.

Benefits Of Going Into The Workforce
When one chooses to go to college, they are investing in their future career. Once a young adult leaves
high school they have a choice to either go to college or to go into the workforce. When deciding
which path they will take, they must look at both the benefits and disadvantages. The advantage to
going straight into the workforce is being able to immediately start their profession of choice and do
not have to pay off expensive college loans. The disadvantage to going straight into the workforce is
the fact that in today s job market, there are not many high paying jobs that do not require a degree.
However, the benefit of going to college is that careers that require a college degree are often high
paying and come with worker s benefits. College affords the student to develop and master academic
and social skills. Companies and employers are not willing to invest time and money into prospects
without those skills or a formal education. The disadvantage to going to college is brought upon
because college tuition has doubled in the past ten years, which makes college unaffordable without
being overwhelmed by student loans for the rest of one s life (Graff 179). The differences between
these two paths make the decision to go to college one of the most influential decisions of an
individual s entire life. Each of these paths have their advantages and disadvantages, but in the long
run, going to college is more beneficial than going straight into the workforce. Even if one

Education As A Motif In Shelley And Dickens
Education as a motif in Shelley and Dickens
Charles Dickens and Mary Shelley lived during the time of the Industrial Revolution. It was a time of
improvement and change that not everybody agreed was good. Charles Dickens Great Expectations
and Mary Shelley s Frankenstein both incorporate the reception of this change in their respective
novels. With change there comes a learning process of how all new inventions can become part of life
and how society is supposed to be. Furthermore, both authors chose education as a motif for
portraying not only the change in education but also the fear that comes with this New Age .While
Shelley lived and wrote at the rather beginning of the Industrial Revolution, Dickens work gives the

Robin Gilmore writes in his article The Pursuit of Gentility about Dickens writing skills and his way
of describing the upperclass without really having been born into it. Dickens was able to incorporate
his experience into his novel Great Expectations when he describes the character Pip and how he
wants to become a gentleman (Gilmore 576 582). Furthermore, Gilmore adds an important argument
when he talks about the Victorian age and how people may be able to work themselves up to higher
classes but never manage to become equals to those who were born a gentleman . Classes of that time
were slowly merging together and this is the real reason why Pip was able to reach his status of a
gentleman in the end. However, people of that time were still aware of the discrepancy between
classes and were afraid of losing their status as wealthy and understood people of upper class. Pip s
guardian Mr. Jaggers once claims that you have to have a certain education, knowledge and behavior
in order to become accepted as a member of the upper class, It is considered that you must be better
educated in accordance with your altered position, and that you will be alive to the importance and
necessity of at once entering on that advantage (Dickens 110). This shows that education has a huge
impact on what you become. However, more importantly, the family you are born into decides
whether or not you will have the privilege of receiving this education of higher standards. Pip is
surrounded by a multi layered society that influences him throughout his life. All the circumstances of
ongoing change in society as well as technology etc. have a huge

A Day s Wait Short Story
Deception appearance versus reality. In the short story A Day s Wait, the author Ernest Hemingway
writes about a boy who has fallen ill and his journey through his illness. The boy in this short story
suffers from an illness known as influenza. Influenza is a highly contagious viral infection that causes
fever and severe aching. In the short story A Stolen Day, the author Sherwood Anderson writes about
another boy who also falls ill, but in a different manner. This boy claims that he has inflammatory
rheumatism which is a genetic disorder that makes joints, muscles, and tissues feel inflamed. Although
the boy acts like he has inflammatory rheumatism, he clearly does not have the disorder. These two
boys go through a journey of their sicknesses. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the quotes from the first story that has a similarity with the second story is, You go up to bed...
, (Hemingway 299). This quote shows that the boy was instructed to go up to his bed and rest. In the
story A Stolen Day, it says, She made me go ... and get into bed , (Anderson 306). This quote shows
that he was also instructed to go into the house and get in bed. These two quotes are similar because it
shows both boys getting told by their parents to get into their beds and rest. Another quote from A Day
s Wait is, You don t have to stay in here with me Papa, if it bothers you, (Hemingway 300 301). This
quote distinctly shows that the boy dismisses his father away from the room because he thinks it s
unbearable for his father to be watching him. Another quote from the second story is, ... I got up from
the table and ran upstairs, (Anderson 309). This quote shows that when the boy was at a table with all
his family there, he ran away and dismissed them talking to him. These two quotes are compatible
because they both have evidence that shows that each boy dismissed his family. One last quote from
the first story, A Day s Wait is, About what time do you think I m going to die, (Hemingway 302). This
quote states that the boy believes he is going to die from getting influenza. One last quote from the
second story A Stolen Day is, I might just suddenly die right here... , (Anderson 306).

Price Ceiling Bill
In light of Congress passing of the price ceiling bill, there has been a large amount of speculation and
fear mongering enforced by the media and opposing views. While the prospect of a price ceiling is
rather worrying, we are here to dispel any fears you may have. Yes, in some cases a price ceiling may
create a shortage of gasoline in the community, but with where our price shall be set, and with our
distribution of resources, we believe this issue can be resolved rather easily and with minimum
negative impact. Considering the effects of a price ceiling on the free market, the equilibrium of
supply and demand, or the set price decided on the natural process, is altered depending on whether
the price ceiling is above or below the equilibrium ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
High priority workers and commuters still get a portion of gas sufficient to sustain needs, and finally,
long distance drivers, I.E travelers, will get no privileges over other citizens. Reading this may be
disheartening to most, but I assure you that this is in a state of severe shortages, and as I mentioned
before, our price ceiling will much further above the equilibrium line, therefore the chances of that
being an issue are rather low. So to be clear on this, our price will be set at $2.80 maximum per gallon.
That way, the free market can continue to function, and will relieve a lot of stress on the average
consumer s wallet in reference to buying gasoline. And with the price of oil continuously declining,
and 60 90 years of fuel reserves at the current rate of consumption, gas prices shouldn t ever peak
above that with reasonable pricing in mind. While a price ceiling is an anti capitalist prospect, it
certainly shouldn t mean it s a negative enforcement. The Department of Energy will continue to serve
in the best interest of both consumers and

After Richard s Granny Case Study
I have several predictions for how things could end up after the events of this passage.
I predict that after Richard s granny falls down the stairs, she will get a really bad injury, like a broken
back or a really bad concussion, due to the fact that she is older so she is more prone to injuries. Then
she will have to go to the hospital due to the extent of her injuries. Meanwhile, the rest of Richard s
family would find out about what happened to Granny and how bad her injuries are, leading to the
whole family shuning Richard (Including his mother and Aunt Addie). After Granny gets well enough
to leave the hospital she will have to be under constant care by the family all the time, because the
damage from her injuries are permanent. Consequently

Tthe Role of Amoeba in Human Disease
Review the Role of Amoeba in Human Disease
Introduction
Free living amoebae (FLA) are eukaryotic organism found ubiquitously in nature. They are found in
soil (dust), air, water and air, which provide amoeba multiple opportunities to spread (c). These can be
pathogenic or non pathogenic. Pathogenic FLA can invade and cause opportunistic and non
opportunistic infections in humans, which are found in the genus Acanthamoeba, Balamuthia
mandrillaris, Naegleria fowleri, and Sappinia pedata (b). Hartmannella is a genus of amoeba which is
in water systems of drinking water, cooling towers and hospitals. They are capable of harbouring
micro organisms like bacteria or pathogenic yeasts. This helps the micro organisms to develop and
spread (d) (e). Discussion
In Mexico city, in a survey looking at pathogenic and FLA inhabiting swimming pool water it was
found that the most and least common species of amoeba was Naegleria gruberi Schardinger (
59.02%) , Naegleria fowleri (16.77%), Acanthamoeba castellanii (7.64%) and Thecamoeba verrucosa
(0.12%). (a)
Naegleria has 30 different species.Naegleria Fowleri species is a thermo tolerant ameobaflagellate,
which causes primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) that affects the Central Nervous System
(CNS). Children and young adults exposed to polluted fresh water after 1 to 2 days experience PAM.

Theme Of Nature Vs Nurture In Frankenstein
In Frankenstein, Mary Shelley explores the argument of nature versus nurture. The conflict of nature
versus nurture is displayed throughout the Gothic novel and in the development of the characters.
When looking at an argument such as nature versus nurture, the side one may want to assume is
difficult to find. Mary Shelley displays points in the novel to allow the reader to see both sides of the
argument, giving each side valid points. The shifts in tone and mood when nature is displayed shows
an immediate nurturing factor in the novel. The shifts allow the story to keep pace, and not become to
stagnant. The display of character development with a lack of nurturing shows that without nurturing,
humans are still able to develop with a sense of integrity. Mary Shelley displays the theme of nature
vs. nurture immediately with the development of Walton in the letters. Robert saving the stranger
outside of his ship from the cold and nursing him back to health shows a nurturing side from Robert.
When the mysterious man regains conscience and realizes what is happening, he is greeted by a crew
member who warns him, [h]ere is our captain, and he will allow you to perish on the open sea (Shelley
10). Walton and his crew take the man in and nurture him back to near full health. Walton shows an
immediate aspect of nurturing, I have persuaded him to remain in the cabin, for he is far too weak to
sustain the rawness of the atmosphere. (Shelley 12). The reader disconnects from

Slaughter From War Strikes Antietam Analysis
Slaughter from War Strikes Antietam!
On September 17th, The Battle of Antietam took place and is the bloodiest single day in American
History. Many men sacrificed their lives in this battle to protect what we hold dear in unity as a nation.
In this battle 23,000 casualties, dead, injured, and missing, were suffered in just 12 hours of
warfare(Staff 1).
The four men that lie dead in this photograph are all in an open field and all appear to be in Union
uniforms. These men were presumingly lined shoulder to shoulder, as is custom in war, while
advancing on the confederate soldiers lines. The fence behind these soldiers is missing many of its
planks suggesting that many bullets were fired at these soldiers as the advanced towards the
confederate lines. This fence is symbolic because with the fence post missing it truly shows the
amount of fire that these men were under as they marched their way across the battlefield(Battle of
Antietam 1).
This battle came after a brutal campaign by the South who had just won The 2nd Battle of Bull Run as
well as The Seven Days Battle. Lee s unprecedented plan to start invading the North was seen as
unorthodox because all the South needed to do was survive until the citizen s of the North got upset
with the war and lost the will to fight. Lee s plan to invade the North was to invade the Maryland
which remained loyal to the union and get a crushing blow in union territory. He was also hoping that
some dissenting slave owners in Maryland would join the Southern forces to help fight the North in
this battle. Unfortunately for Lee, when those that dissented saw the condition that his men were ...

Impact of Movies
IMPACT OF MOVIES
THE THREE BIG LIES
The three lies that often movies and movie makers say .....
1. It s only entertainment. It does not influence anybody.
2. We just reflect reality. Don t blame us; blame the society.
3. We give the public what it wants. If people don t like it they can always turn it off.
IMPACT OF
Among all media, movies play a major role in impacting the thinking pattern of the society. The
question is whether the influence is positive or negative?
As we all know if a super duper movie is released today then, tomorrow there will be a great demand
of dress of the actor which he wore in the movie. Day after tomorrow people will start coping the

Studies are finding that boys, like girls, may turn to smoking to lose weight. Even the
Bollywood/Hollywood fashion has a huge impact on the youth. When youngsters see their favorite
actors/actresses wearing fashionable clothes and accessories they imitate them. So, to copy their style
icons, they spend thousands to lakhs of rupees to have the same pair of shoes or dress. They don t
mind spending money, but they want to look just as perfect as their favorite movie star. In this way the
fashion statements set by celebrities lay a negative impact on youngsters. ALCOHOL, DRUGS,
SMOKING: Movies are spoiling the youth and children most because there is the competition
between youths to copy the style of the hero either it was good or bad. Children who watch a lot of
movies featuring alcohol are twice as likely to start drinking compared to other kids who watch
relatively few of such films, according to new research. The more smoking and drinking that young
teens see in movies, the more likely they are to start smoking or binge drink, according to a pair of
new studies. To find out more about movies influence on alcohol use in young teens, researchers
surveyed more than 16,000 adolescents ages 10 to 19. They randomly picked 50 box office hits from a
list of 655 films. They then asked the teens how often they had seen each movie, which was color

The Scientific Revolutions and Copernicus Book Essay
The Scientific Revolutions and Copernicus Book
In the sixteenth and seventeenth century a Scientific Revolution swept over Europe. The start of this
Scientific Revolution has been atributed to Nicolaus Copernicus and his Heliocentric Model of the
Universe.
Copernicus was born in Torun Poland on February 19, 1473. His parents both died when he was very
young so he was sent to live with his uncle who was a high ranking official in the Church. Copernicus
studied canon law, medicine, astronomy, Greek, philosophy, and mathematics. His diversified fields of
study led him to hold the positions of physician, teacher, member of parliament, and canon law expert
for the Church. At the age of twenty Copernicus left Poland for Italy for the ... Show more content on

The Church felt that the earth as the center of the universe showed the special place that man had in
the eyes of God. The Church believed that this model was divine and therefore any criticism on the
Ptolmaic model coud be viewed as direct criticism on God. As a result of the Church s strong view
many scientists were scared from disagreeing with it for fear of being labled as a heretic and possibly
being excommunicated. Copernicus feared the Church so much that he left Italy and returned to
Poland so that he could continue his work without fear of persecution. No one seriously dismissed the
Ptolemaic theory of the universe until 1616 when Galileo began to teach the Heliocentric Model of the
Universe. Galileo proved Copernicus s theory to his students by showing them the planets through the
use of telescopes. The Ptolemaic Model of the Universe stated that the Earth was at the center of the
universe, the planets, stars rotated around the Earth in a perfect uniform circular motion, and that all of
the objects in the Heavens were made of perfect material that could not change.
Nicolaus Copernicus was not the first person to develop the theory of a sun centered universe.
Aristarchus of Samos was the first to propse the theory of a Heliocentric Universe in 200 B.C.. This
theory is very similar to the Ptolemic model of the universe. The major difference is that the sun not

The Importance Of Opportunity In America
Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776 for the citizens of the nation to
become strong and united. He hoped that equality, rights, liberty, opportunity, and democracy would
prosper and be sustained. The only question now is have Americans lived up to these ideals as
Jefferson intended us too? Well, although we Americans are moving closer to the ideal of opportunity,
we are also moving further from equality and rights. Opportunity has been constantly growing for
citizens, yet their rights have been diminishing. In addition, equality, specifically racial and gender,
has been causing many issues all around the world. Thomas Jefferson intended for Americans to live
up to all the five ideals, but that has yet to be completely done.
Opportunity has thrived for Americans for many years now, which is a major contrast from the 1930 s.
In the 1930 s, many Americans were going through a major economic collapse, also known as the
great depression. During the great depression, many people were jobless and living on the streets,
since their families were evicted from their homes. Not to mention that the average income dropped
about 40% during this harsh time period. Since many were not making any money, opportunity was
limited to them. As you can see from Place Card G, families were left very miserable and in deep
poverty. You can tell that the mother s clothes and face are very dirty in the picture, as are her children

Definition of Air Pollution
1. Definition of air pollution
Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particulate matter, or biological materials that cause
harm or discomfort to humans or other living organisms, or cause damage to the natural environment
or built environment, into the atmosphere.
The atmosphere is a complex dynamic natural gaseous system that is essential to support life on planet
Earth. Stratospheric ozone depletion due to air pollution has long been recognized as a threat to human
health as well as to the Earth s ecosystems.
Indoor air pollution and urban air quality are listed as two of the world s worst pollution problems in
the 2008 Blacksmith Institute World s Worst Polluted Places report.[1]

Within the NMVOCs, the aromatic compounds benzene, toluene and xylene are suspected carcinogens
and may lead to leukemia through prolonged exposure. 1,3 butadiene is another dangerous compound
which is often associated with industrial uses. * Particulate matter Particulates, alternatively referred
to as particulate matter (PM) or fine particles, are tiny particles of solid or liquid suspended in a gas.
In contrast, aerosol refers to particles and the gas together. Sources of particulate matter can be man
made or natural. Some particulates occur naturally, originating from volcanoes, dust storms, forest and
grassland fires, living vegetation, and sea spray. Human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels
in vehicles, power plants and various industrial processes also generate significant amounts of
aerosols. Averaged over the globe, anthropogenic aerosols those made by human activities currently
account for about 10 percent of the total amount of aerosols in our atmosphere. Increased levels of
fine particles in the air are linked to health hazards such as heart disease,[3] altered lung function and
lung cancer. * Persistent free radicals connected to airborne fine particles could cause
cardiopulmonary disease.[4][5] * Toxic metals, such as lead, cadmium and copper. *

Aristotle Research Paper
Aristotle
Eva Rodrigues
Aristotle was known as one of the three most important Greek philosophers along with Plato and
Socrates. Aristotle was born circa 384 B.C. in Stagira, Greece. He had siblings named Arimneste and
Arimnestus. His mother was Phaestis and his father was Nicomachus. Nicomachus was the court
physician to the Macedonian King Amynthas II. Aristotles parents died when he was young. His older
sister Arimneste and her husband took care of Aristotle.
Aristotle first studied medicine before he left and studied at Plato s Academy when he was 17.
Aristotle was a top student at the Academy. Aristotle then later stayed on at the Academy as an
instructor for 20 years. Although Aristotle was a valued member of the Academy he was not seen as
Plato s successor. This was because of some fundamental differences between their philosophies. Plato
believed that true knowledge could only be achieved through true reason. Aristotle preferred
experimentation with real objects. When Plato died, Aristotle didn t take over the school, he went back
to Macedonia where he was soon asked by King Phillip II to tutor his son, Alexander the Great.
Aristotle tutored him up until Alexander the Great became king. Aristotle the returned to Athens. ...

Dental Cavities And Periodontal Disease
In my opinion, I believe that three most important social issues in dentistry today are the high rates of
dental cavities and periodontal disease in which are major causes of tooth loss. Worldwide majority of
school children and most adults have dental cavities. Dental cavities, also known as tooth decay, or
caries are the result bacteria in your mouth that then turns into acids. The bacteria, acids, food and
other debris combine to form plaque. The plaque sticks to the teeth and begins to dissolve the teeth
creating the holes that we call cavities. Dental cavities can cause pain and discomfort. Cavities are bad
because they can damage your teeth and even cause you to lose your teeth.
Periodontal disease is the infection and inflammation of tissues that support your teeth. Many adults
have some sort of form of the disease. Periodontal disease can ange from gum inflammation to a
serious disease that s causes damage to the tissues and even bone that support the teeth and can cause
teeth to be lost. Like cavities whatever is in our mouth turns into acid, and causes build up knowns as

When a tooth is lost, it lacks the stimulation to the surrounding bone that result in a decrease in the
tooth s density and dimension. Meaning there is a loss of width and height of the bone; like the jaw.
When teeth are lost the facial aging, process is more rapid. A decrease in face height occurs because of
the bone loss when teeth are lost. This results in many facial changes such as a decrease in the angle
next to the lips and deepening of the vertical lines of the lip creating a harsher appearance. As bone
loss progresses the chin rotates forward making one look unhappy with their mouth at rest. Another
effect is lower intake of foods due to trouble chewing. This reduces the nutritional intake and can
cause several more health problems like illness, debilitation and a shortened life

How The President Controls Foreign Relations
The president of the United States has many responsabilities like being the commander and chief of
the armed forces and the Chief Diplomat. Over the years the presdients job has gotten harder every
year starting with the expansion with the U.S and now having foreign relations. The president
however doesn t do all the work. The Judicial Branch created federal courts and impeaches and

Ronald Reagan Failures
In 1980, troubled by a unstable economy at home, a hostage crisis overseas, and the end of prior
administrations that were not trusted, America elected Ronald Reagan by a landslide margin of
victory. At sixty nine years old, he was the oldest President to be elected. He was born in a small town
in Illinois and served two terms as California governor starting in 1966. Reagan s track record proved
to be very strong and included welfare cuts, decreasing the number of state employees, and halting
radical student protesters. Like other GOP members, Reagan came into office promising to limit the
power of government and to strengthen American military power overseas. In this present crisis,
Reagan said in his inaugural address, government is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many critics saw Reagan s military tactics as illegitimate. They disagreed with the amount of funding
relegated to military efforts in Central America. These funds were used to intervene in Grenada and El
Salvador, and helped wage a covert war against the revolutionary government of Nicaragua.
(prenhall.com) As expected from a hesitant liberal Congress, funding for the Nicaraguan war was
blocked. Nonetheless, the National Security Council raised the money to finance the intervention.
Reagan saw the Soviets at the heart of every international dispute, from revolution in Central America
to international terrorism in the Middle East. To thwart the Soviets, Reagan called for the largest and
most expensive peacetime military buildup in American history (reaganfoundation). With his telegenic
features and extensive experience in front of a camera from his career in Hollywood, Reagan was
ideally suited for politics in a growing media age. Though intellectually unambitious and often
disengaged in his leadership style, he brilliantly articulated themes of patriotism, individualism, and
limited government that resonated with millions of Americans. The President worked tirelessly in
effort to propel his campaign for a second term. Reagan s victory in the 1984 presidential election
underscored his political popularity. Through his speeches he reiterated his anti Communist rhetoric,

obey or disobey? What is correct, what is incorrect? Questions like these go through people s minds
right before they are about to act. The law is there obviously for people to follow, but that is not

Without even going to court he started creating his own rules and made assumptions based on the few

The topic of climate change is an on going debate between organisations as it is the greatest long term
challenge facing the international community (Exhibit 11). And with a contribution of 25.9% of CO2
emissions, which is the highest amongst all sectors (Exhibit 11), it collides with Generation s
philosophy of maintaining investments within solely environmentally friendly companies.
However, although Generation s research includes climate change as major theme, other themes such
as poverty/real needs and human capital are also imperative issues when looking at investment
possibilities, and as coal is an inevitable power source for the country , an ethically green company
such as Generation could support future investments in building cleaner, more sustainable coal plants.
Additionally, ABB India offers turnkey systems and services for transmission and distributions for
power grid and power plants (Exhibit 8). These are implemented by the company to focus on energy
efficiency and improve performance showing a clear positive approach in enabling a less wasteful grid
system. As India is heavily dependent on coal, with forecasts portraying that is it the largest CO2
emitting country after the U.S and China, dedication to reduce CO2 levels is likely to be a slow
process. Also as increased international competition from other multinational companies is

As we come to the end of the term looking back at the previous diversity summaries I find that this
one in particular gave me more of an encouragement to think beyond what I already knew or didn t
know about religion, people s sexual orientation and disabilities. From my personal experience and
knowledge of other religions I was not expecting to see some that I have never even heard of before,
or how much a person s sexual orientation can have impacts on their lives. As for disabilities, I have a
brother who has a disability but it was a great learning experience, even with a short presentation on
people with other disabilities, to grasp a deeper recognition of what it means to be a disabled person in
the United States. Moving forward, I hope to summarize the presentations presented to the class on the
final diversity topics and include my insight on them as well. For this diversity topic, learning about
other religions should make us aware of the various world religions that exist. For us, these
presentation summaries give way to how each person interviewed is affected either by other in their
workplace or by society. We have five total presentations we can further our understanding for
different religions that we may have never thought of in the aspect of diversity and discrimination.

Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth of England
Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth of England
Sixteenth century England experienced a phenomenon sometimes referred to as the Age of Queens.
The decisive power of the country was placed in women s hands and their reigns were watched with a
reasonable doubt. There is contrast of rule in terms of reigns between Queen Mary and Queen
Elizabeth of England, both of whom were engaged in a protracted struggle for the English throne.
Beside the legitimacy of their claims, there are more significant considerations which predestined
them to either increase or lose their power. The rule and attitudes of the two monarchs bore significant
influence upon the times in which they lived, including social, political and legal precedents which
were being challenged and in some cases reversed. The fact that both Queens encountered situations
of striking similarity, serves as a suitable example for a remarkable comparison, helping to analyze the
lives of the two Queens and how their lives diverged as a result of such encounters and their actions
thereafter. They were both Queens, struggling for the throne, they were women as well as rivals; they
both had affairs with married men, however, one managed a narrow escape from the disgraceful
situation, while the other failed to do so. Mary grew to hate Anne Boleyn, mother of Elizabeth,
because he took the position of her mother Catharine as Queen of England. Before Elizabeth came to
the scene, Mary was loved and was the only child of King Henry VIII of

Developing Countries Supporting Afghanistan As A...
Introduction
Afghanistan is a developing country; the country has faced troubles and difficulties soon after its
independence. They have had problems in the development of constitutions and regulations. The
selection of leader was an issue and one of the major tasks was to prepare military for the defence as
well as the protection of the state. In order to resolve all these issues, finance was the significant need.
Despite problems the country is upgrading slowly and gradually. There are numerous countries
supporting Afghanistan in terms of finance and monetary forms, but the support provided by
International Monetary Fund is significant. International Monetary Fund along with World Bank is
serving Afghanistan since its partition and they both have lent a huge sum of finance to the
government so that they can continue with the progress and prosperity of the state.

relationship, and child and marital relationship. Different cultures have different family dynamics,
along with changes in their environment. For example, during the great depression many people
moved from small farms to cities in hopes of better pay jobs; technology has also changed the family
dynamic because many parents are relying on television to help raise their kids than ever before. Adult

Social Anxiety Disorder And Social Disorders
When people hear the word mental disorder most times their minds are turned towards people who are
different or they automatically think of somebody pretending something is wrong. The term social
anxiety is overlooked and seen as just severe shyness. The people that view it this way are heartless
people who view mental health illnesses as diseases that are made up and shouldn t even exist.
However mental illnesses do exist and they should not be overlooked. Similar to diabetes, Social
Anxiety Disorder is a disease that is very significant and plays a huge role in someone s health, but
can often be overlooked. Nonetheless just because something isn t seen doesn t mean that it isn t there.
Social Anxiety Disorder is a mental illnesses and it needs to be recognized that Social Anxiety
Disorder isn t just extreme shyness. According to Thomas A. Richards, the definition of Social
Anxiety disorder is the fear and the anxiety of being negatively judged and evaluated by other people
(Richards). It isn t uncommon for people to feel like they are being judged or evaluated by people.
More often than not people are judging and evaluating people they see every day. Judging by first
impressions happens all day everyday and everyone has done it. Sure enough, everyone has had these
feelings at one point or another and that is why it is often confused with just being extremely shy.
However, Social Anxiety is a chronic disease and unlike shyness it can not just be overcome. This
makes the question arise of what exactly it is that triggers someone to be susceptible to Social Anxiety
Disorder. Well, there are many factors that contribute in triggering Social Anxiety disorder. Some of
which include, the overuse of technology, they way parents raise their children, and also having been
extremely embarrassed at one point or another. According to Joseph Walsh who is an Associate
Professor at the school of Social Work says, Symptoms of the anxiety may begin in childhood (often
before age five) with another risk period just before puberty. The anxious child may demonstrate a
fear of strangers as early as seven months, and behavioral inhibitions may be observed at 21 to 31
months (Walsh). As children are growing and

Comparing The Representation Of Women s The Yellow...
Compare the representation of women in Gilman s The yellow wallpaper and Austen s pride and

expectations of women, more critically than Austen.
Both Austen and Gilman breakthrough the conformity of femininity at a time of rising feminism in a
bid to encourage the female viewpoint which was put down or rather shunned to be less valuable by
the society they lived in. Gilman however presents it in a more peculiar and violent way in making her
character fall into sanity to bring across women s right of voice. One could argue Austen, although
subtly hinting at the affects or mocking patriarchy, does not seem to have as much of an impact or
focus on exploring the harsh conventional expectations women faced and the effect it had on
restraining their creative conscience.
Both authors focus on the unequal status of women within marriage. Gilman explores, Women s
obligation to remain in the domestic sphere. She argues that it steals them of the expression of their
full powers of creativity and intelligence. Her character jane, mocks the rational masculine
explanation in not believing in faith but rather figures in comparison Elizabeth s reading in pride and

Loan Of Loans Direct And Loan
You know you need a loan, but you don t quite know where to go for assistance. That dilemma faces
many people in the world. So many loan products are available that a consumer can get caught up and

from the lender to the borrower. Consumers have the option to go through loans direct or to conduct

The consumer works with one company, and that person knows what type of loan he or she is
borrowing.
What You Need to Know about Loans Direct
Most direct loans are for short periods of time. For example, the average lifespan of a payday loan is
about 14 days. The consumer usually has until the very next payday to give the proceeds back to the
lender. Instalment loans offer consumers a little more time than title loans offer them. Instalment loans
last for about 45 to 90, but some companies will stretch them out to a one year period. A title loan lasts
approximately 30 days. Lenders do not intend direct loans to be long term financing options. They
intend them to be temporary help for consumers who get into financial trouble.
Qualifying for Direct Advances
A consumer has to be at least 18 years of age to qualify for any short term advance because minors
cannot sign contracts. Different loan types have different criteria when it comes to earnings and
references. A title loan company may ask for up to seven references, and a payday lender may not ask
for any. A title lender may not ask for employment information since it has the vehicle title as
collateral. The payday lender will ask for employment information because it receives its money from
the borrower s paycheck.
Payday loan borrowers will most likely have to have a bank account in the area in which they live. A
bank account is necessary for the lender to send the requested funds.

Essay On Australian Federation
Between the first fleet landing in Australia until the year 1900, Australia had six different governments
enforcing different taxes, with their own militia trying to stay self sufficient and was not recognized as
a nation. Australia relied immensely on British support and the governments of Australia realised that
If there was any threat of war Australia would not be adept enough to protect itself. In 1901 the six
current British ruled colonies in Australia came together to create the Commonwealth of Australia,
these six colonies became the original six states of Australia. New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland,
South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania. I recently took a trip to Parliament house in
Canberra, ACT where I learnt about the process and power of the Federation from our local M.P.
Jamie Briggs. The federation of Australia was designed to allow the public to have a voice in the
matters brought to parliament. In my opinion the federation of Australia went on to develop and
become one of the world s fairest and most accepting governments. According the Australian
Constitution (the most important document in Australian federation history) the states are allowed to
self govern things that happen within their boundaries, (e.g. police, hospitals, education and public
transport ). Therefore the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mrs. Dalloway And The Good Soldier
Mrs. Dalloway/ The Good Soldier The Good Soldier and Mrs. Dalloway have many similarities, one
being both of the main characters belong to the upper class. But they have one major difference, The
Good Soldier only has one point of view, while Mrs. Dalloway has many different points of views
during the novel. In The Good Soldier, the story is only told through John Dowell s perspective, so
only his view is seen throughout the novel. He does not truly know how the other characters are
feeling, only what they tell him, even if it is their true feelings, John could have interpreted it
differently. In Mrs. Dalloway, there are multiple perspectives throughout the novel, showing multiple
viewpoints of the same situation, whether it happened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
John also did not know how Florence was feeling before her suicide. He waited to help her when she
called for help, which was one of the first times that he had waited and only of the only times that she
actually needed him, as she was committing suicide. He was also worried when he saw Florence run
up the stairs, as she could not run because of her heart condition. Nonetheless, John did not
immediately run and help Florence, he waited his time and that cost Florence her life. John did not
realize at first that she had committed suicide, he had thought it was an accidental death until Leonora
told him that it had been a suicide. John expressed how he felt from her death, but did not mention
how Leonora, who was friends with Florence, or Edward, who was having an affair with Florence felt
after her suicide. John had not mentioned it nor did he mention a conversation between him and
Leonora or Edward on the suicide, as afterwards he went to the United States to handle her estate.
Afterward, John does not share how Leonora or Nancy truly felt of Edward s suicide. It can be
inferred how Nancy felt based off of her current mental state but he did not know how Leonora felt
from her husband s suicide.
Mrs. Dalloway mentions many points of views. During the summer at Bourton, it shows both Clarissa
and Peter s points of views. When Peter proposed to Clarissa, it at first showed

Consumers unaware of the diner style atmosphere and quality food will not be willing to pay more or
wait longer for the dining experience. Steak ‘n Shake may not be a restaurant appealing to the health
conscious consumer. One original single Steak burger with cheese has 33 grams of fat, which is 51%
of the daily allowance. A hand dipped regular vanilla milkshake consists of 664 calories and 35 grams
of fat, which is 54% of the recommended daily allowance. Opportunities: Currently, Steak ‘n Shake
has 445 restaurants in 20 states. By 2010 they estimate having over 1000 restaurants nationwide. The
additional 550 restaurants will increase the brand recognition and develop brand loyalty. In 2008, they
are planning the addition of healthier menu items. Steak ‘n Shake hopes to capture the health
conscience consumer that may not currently be a patron of the restaurant. Steak ‘n Shake s
involvement in the community may generate additional revenues and raise consumers awareness.
They support local communities by sponsoring educational sporting events and advertising in school
yearbooks. Steak ‘n Shake also donates gift certificates to non profit events. Threats: Competitors
like Denny s and Red Robin have always been considered threats to Steak ‘n Shake. Other

  • 3. Evaluating Revenue Systems Perry Christensen (2015) provide insight on the design and administration of a revenue system, as well as how it is evaluated. A revenue system is a collection of sources that is used by the government that are extracted through the means of tax and charges. Designing a revenue system is not merely created from scratch; it is an older system that has been modified to comply with and be accepted by society. These systems have been trending since the beginning of socioeconomic development and continue to evolve. Revenue systems are evaluated through a set of criteria; economic efficiency, equity, feasibility, and adequacy. It is noted that transparency is also part of the criteria, but it is a separate criterion in itself. Research and evidence examine the set of criteria by focusing on the income tax and how it has been the main source of revenue for the US Federal government. There have been many innovations in the technology of tax collection that have been implemented in the US, and have also been adopted globally by both developed and developing countries. Efforts to improve current systems and policies are examined based on the set used to evaluate the revenue system. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Benefits Of Going Into The Workforce When one chooses to go to college, they are investing in their future career. Once a young adult leaves high school they have a choice to either go to college or to go into the workforce. When deciding which path they will take, they must look at both the benefits and disadvantages. The advantage to going straight into the workforce is being able to immediately start their profession of choice and do not have to pay off expensive college loans. The disadvantage to going straight into the workforce is the fact that in today s job market, there are not many high paying jobs that do not require a degree. However, the benefit of going to college is that careers that require a college degree are often high paying and come with worker s benefits. College affords the student to develop and master academic and social skills. Companies and employers are not willing to invest time and money into prospects without those skills or a formal education. The disadvantage to going to college is brought upon because college tuition has doubled in the past ten years, which makes college unaffordable without being overwhelmed by student loans for the rest of one s life (Graff 179). The differences between these two paths make the decision to go to college one of the most influential decisions of an individual s entire life. Each of these paths have their advantages and disadvantages, but in the long run, going to college is more beneficial than going straight into the workforce. Even if one ... It was a time of improvement and change that not everybody agreed was good. Charles Dickens Great Expectations and Mary Shelley s Frankenstein both incorporate the reception of this change in their respective novels. With change there comes a learning process of how all new inventions can become part of life and how society is supposed to be. Robin Gilmore writes in his article The Pursuit of Gentility about Dickens writing skills and his way of describing the upperclass without really having been born into it. Dickens was able to incorporate his experience into his novel Great Expectations when he describes the character Pip and how he wants to become a gentleman (Gilmore 576 582). Furthermore, Gilmore adds an important argument when he talks about the Victorian age and how people may be able to work themselves up to higher classes but never manage to become equals to those who were born a gentleman . Classes of that time were slowly merging together and this is the real reason why Pip was able to reach his status of a gentleman in the end. However, people of that time were still aware of the discrepancy between classes and were afraid of losing their status as wealthy and understood people of upper class. Pip s guardian Mr. Jaggers once claims that you have to have a certain education, knowledge and behavior in order to become accepted as a member of the upper class, It is considered that you must be better educated in accordance with your altered position, and that you will be alive to the importance and necessity of at once entering on that advantage (Dickens 110). This shows that education has a huge impact on what you become. However, more importantly, the family you are born into decides whether or not you will have the privilege of receiving this education of higher standards. • 14. Theme Of Nature Vs Nurture In Frankenstein In Frankenstein, Mary Shelley explores the argument of nature versus nurture. The conflict of nature versus nurture is displayed throughout the Gothic novel and in the development of the characters. When looking at an argument such as nature versus nurture, the side one may want to assume is difficult to find. Mary Shelley displays points in the novel to allow the reader to see both sides of the argument, giving each side valid points. The shifts in tone and mood when nature is displayed shows an immediate nurturing factor in the novel. The shifts allow the story to keep pace, and not become to stagnant. The display of character development with a lack of nurturing shows that without nurturing, humans are still able to develop with a sense of integrity. Mary Shelley displays the theme of nature vs. nurture immediately with the development of Walton in the letters. Robert saving the stranger outside of his ship from the cold and nursing him back to health shows a nurturing side from Robert. When the mysterious man regains conscience and realizes what is happening, he is greeted by a crew member who warns him, [h]ere is our captain, and he will allow you to perish on the open sea (Shelley 10). Walton and his crew take the man in and nurture him back to near full health. Many men sacrificed their lives in this battle to protect what we hold dear in unity as a nation. In this battle 23,000 casualties, dead, injured, and missing, were suffered in just 12 hours of warfare(Staff 1). The four men that lie dead in this photograph are all in an open field and all appear to be in Union uniforms. These men were presumingly lined shoulder to shoulder, as is custom in war, while advancing on the confederate soldiers lines. The fence behind these soldiers is missing many of its planks suggesting that many bullets were fired at these soldiers as the advanced towards the confederate lines. This fence is symbolic because with the fence post missing it truly shows the amount of fire that these men were under as they marched their way across the battlefield(Battle of Antietam 1). This battle came after a brutal campaign by the South who had just won The 2nd Battle of Bull Run as well as The Seven Days Battle. He hoped that equality, rights, liberty, opportunity, and democracy would prosper and be sustained. The only question now is have Americans lived up to these ideals as Jefferson intended us too? Well, although we Americans are moving closer to the ideal of opportunity, we are also moving further from equality and rights. Dental Cavities And Periodontal Disease In my opinion, I believe that three most important social issues in dentistry today are the high rates of dental cavities and periodontal disease in which are major causes of tooth loss.
