ESG-ROADMAP
With the effects of climate change already upon us, the need to cut global greenhouse gas emissions is nothing less than urgent. It’s a daunting challenge, but the technologies and strategies to meet it exist today. A small set of ESG policies, designed and implemented well, can put us on the path to a low carbon future. ESG Key Performance Indicators are complex, so they must be sector specific, focused and cost-effective. One-size-fits-all approaches simply won’t get the job done. Sustainability managers need a clear, comprehensive resource that outlines the ESG policies that will have the biggest impact on our climate future, and describes how to implement these policies well within their own organisations.
We don’t need to wait for new technologies or strategies to create a low carbon future—and we can’t afford to. ESG-ROADMAP gives professionals the tools they need to select, design, and implement the policies that can put us on the path to a livable climate future.

David Hall presented on environmental standards and ISO 14001 certification. He explained that ISO 14001 establishes a framework for managing a business's environmental impact. Certification can help businesses improve efficiency, meet regulations, and gain customers. Implementing an environmental management system typically involves analyzing processes, planning documentation, training staff, and undergoing third-party audits to achieve certification.
- Energy management standards like ISO 50001 provide organizations with guidelines for improving energy efficiency. International groups like ISO and CEN develop these standards to benefit business and society. ISO 50001 has become the global best practice for energy management systems, helping companies save 5-37% on energy costs. Adopting ISO 50001 provides benefits like reduced costs and carbon emissions as well as increased credibility. Many successful companies have certified to ISO 50001 and achieved significant energy and financial savings as a result.

Julian Watts - The Value of Standards and why GIS and AM practitioners should...GeoEnable Limited
Standards provide recognized best practices and guidelines but exceeding standards can provide greater value. Three sentences:
Standards establish a baseline for asset management practices, processes, and systems but exceeding standards through proactive maintenance, predictive analytics, and integrated organization-wide systems allows organizations to optimize performance, manage risks, and achieve excellence in asset management. Integrating building information modeling (BIM) and asset management through the project lifecycle can improve long-term performance and reduce whole-life costs beyond what standards alone require. Adopting open standards for spatial data and common data protocols facilitates sharing of information and integration across organizations for better decision-making.
This document provides an overview and summary of key changes between ISO 9001:2008 and the newly published ISO 9001:2015 quality management system standard. Some of the main changes introduced in ISO 9001:2015 include a new structure based on Annex SL, a common framework for all ISO management system standards. There is also a stronger focus on leadership and engagement from top management in the quality management system. Other changes involve more robust requirements for understanding the organization's context, risks and opportunities, as well as the needs and expectations of interested parties. The revised standard aims to make quality management systems more strategic and applicable to a broader range of organizations.
FINAL IMS PPT - Read-Only - Compatibility Mode.pdfKShah24
The document provides information on changes to ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001. Some key changes include a new risk-based approach, increased emphasis on strategic planning and leadership responsibilities, common structures across standards, and terminology changes around documented information. The standards now focus on understanding organizational context, risks and opportunities, and improving performance and environmental protection. Documentation requirements are reduced in favor of risk-based controls.
The document provides an overview of integrated management systems (IMS) and their benefits for controlling organizational objectives. Key points include:
- An IMS combines all internal management practices into a single, coherent system rather than separate components. Linkages between processes allow for seamless integration.
- Common standards that can be integrated include ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 22301 (business continuity), ISO 14001 (environment), OHSAS 18001 (health and safety), ISO/IEC 27001 (information security), and others.
- Benefits of an IMS include consistency, improved communication, reduced duplication and costs, lower risk, and identification of conflicting objectives. Considerations for successful integration include organizational culture, competence levels
Public Service Partnership Maturity ModelNoel Hatch
The document describes a maturity model for public service ICT partnerships. It outlines 5 levels of maturity: 1) priority setting, 2) standardizing, 3) delivering, 4) performing, and 5) transforming. For each level, typical processes, characteristics, and capabilities of partnerships at that level are defined. The document also provides recommendations for how the described partnership can apply the maturity model to benchmark itself and identify areas for improvement.
This document provides a framework for developing innovative recommendations to shape urban planning. It outlines an approach involving systemic thinking, revisiting conventional wisdom, and framing key questions. The analysis examines sectors as complex systems, understands trends/forces, and assesses performance. A historical analysis is conducted. The current state, emerging issues, and a desired future vision are described. Recommendations are developed using a three horizons framework and solution design principles. Solutions are evaluated based on desirability, feasibility, viability, and impact.

Target Open Architecture for TOGAF and DMGopiMaren
The document describes how The Open Group developed, applied, and complied with its architecture principles. It developed principles by forming a cross-functional board to define them based on business principles, strategic goals/drivers, pain points, and best practices. Principles followed a standard template and covered business, data, application, technology, and governance architectures. The Open Group applied principles by disseminating them to staff, using them for decision making, establishing evaluation criteria, and defining requirements. It complied by assessing existing technologies and systems and governing changes to ensure ongoing alignment with principles.
Presented for ASQ India on 3/22/2016 7PM - 8PM IST (6.30 AM -7.30AM PST). Govind will briefly discuss key changes, new requirements and a high level transition plan. The new standard is more aligned with business than ever. However this new standard also bring challenges for auditing. As a QMS manager, auditor or even a practitioner you will be expected to apply this management system standard at work.
Presentation focusing on assisting corporate social investment practitioners on publishing information on community investment and development in sustainability reports.

(Q)SAR Assessment Framework: Guidance for Assessing (Q)SAR Models and Predict...hannahthabet
The webinar provided an overview of the new OECD (Q)SAR Assessment Framework for evaluating the scientific validity of (Q)SAR models, predictions, and results from multiple predictions. The QAF provides assessment elements for existing principles for evaluating models, as well as new principles for evaluating predictions and results. In addition to the principles, assessment elements, and guidance for evaluating each element, the QAF includes a checklist for reporting assessments.
This new Framework provides regulators with a consistent and transparent approach for reviewing the use of (Q)SAR predictions in a regulatory context and increases the confidence to accept alternative methods for evaluating chemical hazards. The OECD worked closely together with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Italy) and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), supported by a variety of international experts to develop a checklist of criteria and guidance for evaluating each criterion. The aim of the QAF is to help establish confidence in the use of (Q)SARs in evaluating chemical safety, and was designed to be applicable irrespective of the modelling technique used to build the model, the predicted endpoint, and the intended regulatory purpose.
The webinar provided an overview of the project and presented the main aspects of the framework for assessing models and results based on individual or multiple predictions.
Trichogramma spp. is an efficient egg parasitoids that potentially assist to manage the insect-pests from the field condition by parasiting the host eggs. To mass culture this egg parasitoids effectively, we need to culture another stored grain pest- Rice Meal Moth (Corcyra Cephalonica). After rearing this pest, the eggs of Corcyra will carry the potential Trichogramma spp., which is an Hymenopteran Wasp. The detailed Methodologies of rearing both Corcyra Cephalonica and Trichogramma spp. have described on this ppt.

15. WG1 – ISO 59004 - Framework for circular economy
implementation
• The proposed framework for Circular Economy (CE) implementation has been
designed as a flexible approach to guide the process of transition towards
circularity in an organization, which can operate at different levels from micro,
meso and macro levels.
• The framework is meant to be general enough to be adapted to the specific
needs and requirements of an organization while providing enough detail to
operationalize the concept of CE suggesting steps and stages into this transition
and encouraging the translation and embedding of CE principles into
organizational policies, practices and procedures.
• The framework is structured as an iterative process and the order of
implementation of the different stages can be altered and adapted to reflect the
reality of the organization.
16. WG1 – ISO 59004 – Framework / levels
• Framework for planning and implementing the CE that is comprehensive
and applicable to all kinds of organizations. Specifically, it will take into
account three system levels of organizations:
• System level area: cities, countries, municipalities, states, provinces and
international agencies;
• System level inter-organizations: all inter-industries and inter-firm networks;
• System level organization: this applies to any type of organization (e.g. government
agency, private, public or NGO).

20. WG2 – Guidelines on business models and value networks
(ISO 59010)
• This document [….] aims to provide guidance for organizations wishing
transform their business models and value networks to more circular
ones.
• In addition […] addresses the transformation of the value network surrounding the
organization, which is crucial to achieve an effective improvement.
• […..] a survey of existing business practices, and guidance (including
literature) was conducted to characterize the status quo and to obtain
insight on future directions. The results of the survey […] show that linear-
oriented resource conservation practices still dominate the world (e.g.,
basic recycling) and leaving many opportunities for transformative change.
21. WG2 – ISO 59010 - Scope
• This document provides guidelines for an organization or a group of
organizations seeking to transform its business models and value
networks from linear to circular ones including the externalities of the
organization and its business environment such as available social
infrastructure, political programs, and stakeholders.
• This document applies to any organization regardless of its size, sector or
region.
22. Architecture of
ISO 59010
• Clause 4 provides guidance on how to establish the project’s scope by setting the boundary that defines
organization’s operations as well as its value network.
• Clause 5 suggests how to assess the existing conditions, identify gaps and opportunities for
improvement, set goals, and determine overall strategies to achieve them.
• Clause 6 provides guidance on how to shift an organization’s value network to a circular business
ecosystem (i.e. a community of circular business models interlinked as a value network of mutually
beneficial and symbiotic organizations).
• Clause 7 suggests how to transform an organization’s business model from linear to circular.
• Clause 8 focuses on how to establish a process of continual improvement.
23. WG2 – ISO 59010 - Set the boundary - Map the value chain
and its associated value network
24. WG2 – ISO 59010 - Set the boundary
• To set an appropriate boundary, an organization may wish to take into
account its sphere of influence. The sphere of influence represents the
area of the value network where the organization can influence entities
within for improving circularity in the area as a whole
1. open-ended linear value chain that
extends from raw materials to
waste generation (left).
2. closing the loop, it becomes a
circular value chain (middle).
3. Then the organization can challenge
itself to connect multiple value
chains that in turn forms a wider
value network that becomes a
circular business ecosystem (right).
25. WG2 - ISO 59010 - Identify gaps and opportunities for
improvement + set the objectives
• To adequately assess current state/level of a business model and value network’s
circularity, it is recommended that key performance indicators (KPIs) be selected to
establish a baseline. [ ISO 59020]
• The organization should identify the gaps between the current status […]and that of the
desired future. These gaps […] lead to the identification of the hot spots in the value
network, which indicate opportunities for targeted action, leading to improvements in
circularity.
• The organization should determine its overall objectives reflecting KPIs […] and taking
into account the gaps and opportunities for improvement [….] […] as well as the
materiality for the organization.
• materiality analyses: A common method is to create a matrix with the vertical axis representing
stakeholder’s expectations of the organization and the horizontal axis representing the organization’s
own business priorities.
26. WG2 - ISO 59010 – overall strategy
• After the objectives are set, the next step is to develop a strategy to
achieve shift from current state to the desired state of circularity.
• Clause 6 discusses strategies designed to achieve eco-system circularity,
• Clause 7 focuses on strategies for transforming an organization’s business
model.
• A successful strategy should include timelines with expected interim
results and action plans.
27. WG2 - ISO 59010 -Transform the value network to a
circular business ecosystem
• Implement governance over the value network (Clarify rights, roles ,
responsibilities, Activate communication between internal and external
stakeholders, Ensure the transparency of decision-making processes,
Maintain impartiality and inclusivity of members, Facilitate innovation
through the collaboration among members)
• Establish common infrastructure (The value network should be
transformed to a circular business ecosystem: Mutual benefit sharing,
Innovation synergy between partners, Antitrust considerations)
• Achieve common objectives and strategy (including timelines with
expected interim results and action plans; KPI common and specific).
28. WG2 - ISO 59010 - Transform the business model
• Key components of business model:
• Patterns
• Elements
• Tools
• Address economic rationalization
• Address financing and investor
relations
• Determine objectives and strategy
• Transform business processes
29. WG2 - ISO 59010 - Continual improvement
• Improve the value network, with the revision of (e.g.)
• The performance achieved
• The size of the boundary
• The diversity of members
• The symbiotic relationship
• The governance performance and structure
• Improve the business model of the organization, with revision of the
strategy for (e.g)
• performance achieved
• business model patterns and elements
