2. The Monetary System in Early America
The support, which Mr. Franklin s Modest Enquiry has raised, for a large addition of paper bills, to
the current circulating coinage, is alarming in of itself, and, added to the quickness with which the
commoner entrusts himself to Mr. Franklin s opinions, has the opportunity to bring ruin and
poverty upon our nation. His arguments for such a hasty addition are hinged upon the fact that this
nation is now in want of money. Is this true, fellow countrymen? Are we not a prosperous nation,
by the blessings of Him who sanctifies us with His dedications? Do we not receive pilgrims, from
the shores of the eastern world, who wish to share in our fortune? The honorable Mr. Franklin no
doubt intends well with his illustrious pamphlet; however, I find myself obligated to explain the
failings in his otherwise eloquent Enquiry. Firstly, Mr. Franklin s opening consideration reads as
follows, A great Want of Money in any Trading Country
, occasions Interest to be at a very high
Rate. As a foundation for this assertion, he argues that men, in a time that occasions severe
measures, are forced to demand high interest, even to eight and ten percent. In his resulting
argument, Mr. Franklin has made a hazardous error in overlooking an ostensibly obvious exemption
to his initial statement. Especially in times of monetary stress, the value of competition is realized.
For, of course, during such times, money lenders experience an increase in business, and, desiring
to surpass their competition,

3. B-25 Mitchell Research Papers
The B 25 Mitchell is a plane that was used as a medium bomber during World War II by The Army
Air Corp. The Reason for its creation was because of the need of a new and improved medium
bomber. This bomber went on to be a major role in The Doolittle Raid. The company known as
North American Aviation to date has created nearly 10,000 B 25 Mitchells. Over the four decades
of service the B 25 Mitchell came across many new and improved models such as the B 25A B
25H. The B 25 is one of the most well known bombers during World War II and is a symbol of just
how powerful America was in the war. In the year of 1938 the Army Air Corp was looking for a
new type of medium sized bomber. The Army Air Corp was looking for a bomber that could meet

Out of all theses models the most popular where the B 25A, B 25B, and the B 25C. When the B

operating gun turrets. After seeing that technology was becoming a big role in military, North
American Aviation took the B 25A back to the drawing board. After making a few minor
adjustments, the North American Aviation B 25B rolled off the assembly line. The all new B
25B had a brand new autopilot system aboard, while being able to accommodate a six man crew,
gaining to new power operated gun turrets but in the end losing the tail gunner. While the B 25B
was going into service North American Aviation was already back at it thinking of new and
improved ways to already make the aircraft better than it already was. This ended up leading to
the creation of the new structurally, and mechanically modified B 25C. How the new aircraft
was structurally modified is by the change in the aircraft s dihedral which lead to the aircraft
being more stable while in flight. The new and improved B 25C also included and new
plexiglass window for the navigator, new deicing components to keep ice from forming on the
wings, and also included heavier weaponry in the nose of the aircraft to help keep the B 25C

4. Antonio Tony Tony Montana
Antonio Tony Montana was born in Cuba on May 5, 1996, to a Cuban mother and an American
father. The marriage produced two children, Antonio and Gina, his little sister. Tony recalled
having a pretty good relationship with his father, who taught him English and took him to
American films where he saw such big stars as Humphrey Bogart. While Tony s father had a good
relation with his kids, he did not have an ideal relationship as a husband and head of the household.
One day Tony s father abandoned his family, so Mrs. Montana raises Tony and Gina alone.
However, Tony proves somewhat a copycat of his father, abandoning them 5 years. It was later
explained that one reason for the estragment was that Tony had admired the Cuban gangsters, who

how they transformed and developed through the years since 1760. II. Second Main Point:
Evolution of Jigsaw Puzzles through the Years A. Support: The 1800s 1. The name jigsaw came
from the use of using fretsaws, which were from the same category of jigsaws, to cut the puzzles

that drove the Allies to push for an armistice as opposed to an unconditional surrender. It will

Masses of German troops shifted from the east to the west. It became evident that, with Germany
on the rise to power, American intervention was needed on behalf of the Allies. President Wilson
clung to neutrality, but the Bolshevik Revolution but a strain on the American people to intervene
in order to safeguard international democracy. With an estimated six months until British
surrender, the weary Allies waited for aid. America s mobilization for war demanded extreme
sacrifice of the American people; over 7.5 civilians were conscripted into the armed forces,
American factories broke all records for production, monetary aid flowed to the Allies, and
civilian consumption was cut drastically. The overstrained Germans met American troops in
September of 1918; the offensive proved to be more than the Germans could withstand and an

treat a peaceful German Republic more leniently than a militaristic empire. Kaiser William II was

7. Analysis of the Themes in Fight Club Essay
Analysis of the Themes in Fight Club
It is easy to understand how and why many who view Fight Club (Fincher, 1999) would argue
that is in essence a critique of post modern consumer culture within America or indeed the
western world. After all we are faced with Character(s) Jack (Edward Norton) who seems to gain
no cultural sustenance from the world in which he inhabits. More over it seems to do him harm in
the form of insomnia. This coupled with his obsession with Ikea and material goods leads to the
creation of Tyler (Brad Pit). Whose apparent goal is the destruction of the capitalist system? The
film seems littered with examples of anti consumer, anti capitalist motifs. The blowing up of ...

One of the key issues which Giroux raises is that Fight Club tries to suggest consumerism has
destabilized masculinity in effect masculinity has been emasculated. However the film does not
seem to concern itself with any details regarding this process of consumerism in terms of
economics or practical application. In this respect it is very vague, using what could easily be
described as sound bites especially from Tyler to fill the gap where debate could be. Fight Club
largely ignores issues surrounding the break up of labour unions, the slashing of the U.S.
workforce, extensive plant closings, downsizing, outsourcing, the elimination of the welfare state,
the attack on people of colour and growing disparities between rich and poor. (Giroux, 2000:8).
Fight Club seems content to portray consumerism as an all encompassing continuum, which only
those who are prepared to understand the world through binary acts of violence and sabotage will
be able to negate. This notion is problematic in itself as it implies that everybody within the
western world is blind to consumerism. But also the Character of Tyler who Jill Nelmes in Film

In the recording session, listening to all the tracks, I chose two different microphones from the
MXL 800 series the large and the small caps diaphragm. Both microphones were condenser
microphones. Listening to both microphones at the track I discovered few interesting facts between
them. First, I mange to listen to the smaller cap both on the recorded hammer part of the pianoand
the recorded strings and I find that both microphone had different sound. For the small cap that was
recorded on the hammer of the piano sound decent yet it sounded little muddy. It sounded like
when it had an insert plug in of a chorus or modulation that when the key was stroked the sound
was aggressively vibrating, the piano s sustain was little aggressive Picturing if there was a lot of
sound waves combined together. Also it sounded as if the piano was played in a small room which
the sound sounded much tied. Next, the smaller cap on string recording, sounded much more
balanced. It sounded tied yet the every note on the piano sounded realistic. Moreover, the dynamic
range was wide enough that it was easy to listen to especially it had good amount of bass and
harmonics of the piano. The microphone sound more open rather than narrow sound like the
hammered one.

on the strings of the piano, it can sound very muddy and bombarded with different frequencies.
Similarly with small caps on hammers can cause trouble when concentrates too much on one area
which it becomes a dominant sound overall of the recording. Furthermore, this I came to

9. Case Study Of Copthorne Holdings Ltd. V. Canada
This case (Copthorne Holdings Ltd. v. Canada) is similar to the case being analyzed (Groupe
Honco Inc. v. Her Majesty The Queen) in the fact that they both seem to be entering
amalgamations in order to receive a tax free benefit. In Copthorne Holdings Ltd. v. Canada, the
PUC of the previously known subsidiarybecame included in the PUC of the amalgamated
corporation. In Groupe Honco Inc. v. Her Majesty The Queen, the capital dividend account of Old
Supervac transferred to the amalgamated corporation New Supervac. In order to receive taxfree
benefits, the parent and subsidiary corporations in Copthorne Holdings became sister corporations
prior to amalgamation in order to have a larger PUC. When shares were redeemed and a payout
occurred to the non resident shareholder, it was much larger than it would have been had the
subsidiary PUC been cancelled upon amalgamation. In the Groupe Honco case, the acquirers of
the Old Supervac claimed to have no knowledge of the capital dividend account. When the CDA
came to light, they then tried to pay out a capital dividend from New Supervac to Groupe Honco
who then paid a capital dividend to Gestion Paul Lacasse. In both situations the parties are
disobeying the anti avoidance rule.
We can use the conclusion from this case to state that the acquisition of Old Supervac s shares
and declaration of a capital dividend form a part of the same series of transactions. When deciding
to elect the dividend being declared as a capital dividend,

10. Piaget Essay
Piaget s Theory of Cognitive Development
Jean Piaget was born on August9, 1896, in the French speaking part of Switzerland. At an early
age he developed an interest in biology, and by the time he had graduated from high school he had
already published a number of papers. After marrying in 1923, he had three children, whom he
studied from infancy. Piaget is best known for organizing cognitive development into a series of
stages the levels of development corresponding too infancy, childhood, and adolescence. These four
stages are labeled the Sensorimotor stage, which occurs from birth to age two, (children experience
through their senses), the Preoporational stage, which occurs from ages two to six, (motor ... Show

I remember as a child thinking that the sun and moon followed me as I took a walk. In addition,
the child s use of language is not as sophisticated as it might seem. Children have a tendency to
confuse words with the objects they represent. If a child calls a toy block a car and I use it to make a
house , the child may become upset. To children, the name of an object is as much a part of the
object as it s size, shape, and color. To the Preoperational child, insulting words may really hurt.
(Coon 107). Consider my preschooler calling each other baby . To the adult it is an innocent word,
but to the preschooler it is the worst thing they can think of.
Piaget s description of the Preoperational stage also focused on all the other things the preschool
aged child still cannot do. According to Piaget, egocentrism is a cognitive state in which the child
sees the world only from his own perspective, without awareness that there are other perspectives.
(Bee and Boyd 155). The child is not being selfish; rather, she simply assumes that everyone sees
the world as she does. I see many examples of ego egocentrism on a daily basis in the preschool
environment and at home. For example, my daughter, Meryl, who is almost five years old, gets a
phone call from her aunt. She begins asking Meryl questions.
Instead of saying yes or no , Meryl simply nods her head.

1)Many individuals have UE paresis after experiencing a stroke. This is why occupational therapy
service is needed; since they address many of the deficits, including stroke related motor
impairment of the UE. However, despite improved UE functional capacity, UE performance may
remain severely limited after stroke (Doman, Waddell, Bailey, Moore, Lang, 2016). There is a
difference between the function and the performance. For example, many individual after rehab are
able to have movement with their affected UE but, are not able to complete their activities of daily

12. Similarities Between V For Vendetta And 1984
Overcome, Perish, 1984 and V for Vendetta
Alan Moore and George Orwell s stylistic writing choices and parallels between fascist
governments and the methods used to oppose them in their pieces V for Vendetta and 1984 with
the use of rhymes and television to represent a biased sense of view and salvation left in history,
and how the Party uses their own symbols to repress that salvation.
1984 and V for Vendetta both take place in a Great Britain controlled by a totalitarianistic society
with non conformist characters who take on that society with a unique approach. Winston Smith
uses a private rebellion between himself and Julia as his nonconformity against the Inner Party. In
V for Vendetta, however, V s take on resisting the NorsefireParty is very direct and outspoken to
the public. In their own ways, they both hide their hatred for the Party. Winston himself keeps
his meetings with Julia hush hush in Mr. Charrington s room, while V s identity is never
revealed, always wearing a mask. Symbols play a key role in establishing the stories of Winston
and V. 1984 s chant for the Brotherhood is the Oranges and Lemons English nursery rhyme
refers to the bells of churches in London that extends on by people who matter to Winston; and
everyone who betrays him. Mr. Charrington gives him the first piece, but is revealed to be a part
of the Thought Police, Julia, who betrays him at the end of it all before her mental death, and O
Brian, who instead of his savior becomes his torturer. The Fifth of November is also a rhyme
that s based off real events, referencing Guy Fawkes s failed plan to blow up the English
Parliament on November 5th, 1605. Both rhymes are tied into Great Britain and a passion that
varies between the protagonists, providing them with their only link to the past. Television is
also a main symbol for the government s control both the telescreens in 1984 and the telly in V
for Vendetta broadcast only the Party s views and bias. Gordon, a side character in V for Vendetta,
airs his uncensored skit on television as an unintentional way of oppressing the glorification of
Chancellor Sutler, before being killed and dragged away from his own home. The slogans for both

benefits to travel alone. The biggest one is that each traveler can plan their own travels as they
like. For example, when I planned a seven day trip for Tohoku area in Japan I made a number of

In addition, the travelers do not have to follow this itinerary all the time in travelling. If there is
a something interesting in a real place, each one of the travelers is free to explore it, changing a

our teachers said Without the help of Google Map, you need to experience losing your way,
exploring what is on the real street on your own. There might be a nice bakery, which is not on a

in the real palace which they have never visited before unless they take some action. Of course, in
many cases, I cannot take any action there, but I should learn something good if I encourage
myself to take a step out of my shell. The increase of individual travelers shows that they
understand these advantages to travel alone, however, the others still hesitate in traveling alone

15. What Are The Three Main Types Of Conflicts
Conflict forms
According to Kurtzberg Mueller (2005), there are three main types of conflicts. The first type of
conflict they describe is process related conflict that is based on the work procedures, how well
work performance is and the obligations, roles, and responsibilities of teams. The second form of
conflict is relationship based conflict in which relationships and interaction play a major part
between team members and individuals. Finally, the third type of conflict is task related conflict
where differences about the work itself causes a misunderstanding. Kurtzberg Mueller (2005), states
that there is a linear correlation between team performance and task related conflicts and points out
that sometimes task related conflicts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most people don t realize that for every action there is a reaction and there was some type of
trigger that made this person act out in a certain way. Runde and Flanagan (2007) argues that
understanding one s own behavior and trying to reflect on others are key factors when trying to
prevent the outbreak of conflicts . Know how to control your own behavior and how to respond to
others can eliminate escalation between individuals. A conflict competent leader is aware about his
/hers hot buttons and in which situations they are triggered, therefore they are more prepared for
situations that are emotionally charged (Runde and Flanagan, 2007). Conflict Resolution
Even though conflict is prone to happen is organizations, there are always ways to solve these
problems and come up with some type of resolution. Rahim, Magner, Shapiro, (2000) argues justice
is one of the most important concerns for employee conflict resolution in an organization . Justice
in an organizations brings forth positive attitudes and lets employees know that management is
displaying fairness all around and have good conflict management skills. If employees feel that
they are being treated fairly and managers stay unbiased, they will be more obligated to
compromise and be more cooperative in situations. Rahim et al. (2000) divides justice into three

Suppliers would also be a factor to include when considering customers and competitors. There are
companies that suppliers are treated as partners because they have a close relationship with
organization. When the supplier has been providing raw materials or other products they become
part of the operation. For example, there are some Japanese firms that have partnered with their
suppliers. The community and special interest groups can also have some influence on the system
design for an organization. The influence they exert cannot be ignored. Being a corporate citizen in
a community can be important especially when managers live in those communities. Corporate
citizenship: For many, it remains a diffuse concept, but generally it speaks to companies voluntarily
adopting a triple bottom line, one that takes into account social, economic, and environmental
considerations as well as financial results (Richardson, 2007, p.92). When management designs a
system its strategy and goals and objectives it will include its plan to participate in the community.
These are areas that the organization can have some control and plan to integrate into its overall
corporate strategy. The amount of participation that can be provided ranges from supporting
individual employees to the company creating foundation to reach out to a larger audience.

In Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, Mr. Brown, the first missionary in Umuofia, was a kind
and respectful man. Not to say that Reverend James Smith was not, but his degree of kindness and
respect were present in a whole different level. They both wanted to convert the lost, all those in
Umuofia that were not in the church. Mr. Brown made friends with the clan and trod softly on his
faith, (pg.178) while Mr. Smith told them how things were in a harsh voice and tried to force his
religion on the people of Umuofia. The impacts the two had on the people and the church were

Mr. Smith, on the other, hand was very harsh and saw things as black and white. And black was

20. Essay on Terry Kay’s To Dance With The White Dog
Questionable Existence in Terry Kay s To Dance With The White Dog
In Terry Kay s novel, To Dance With The White Dog, the main character Sam Peek befriends a
snow white dog. The dog, affectionately called White Dog by Sam, helps to save Sam s life
many times. She is spoken of throughout the book by Sam s children as well as by Sam in his
journal entries. The main question throughout the book asks if White Dog is in fact real or is she
just an illusion? There are strong facts all through the book that support White Dog s realistic nature.
Many facts throughout the duration of this book support the theory of White Dog s existence. At
the beginning of the book no one but Sam can see White Dog; however, as the book ... Show more

This makes a very straightforward clue that White Dog is in fact real.
Although many facts support White Dog s existence, there are some which make White Dog seem
magical. One of the strongest suggestions in the book that supports this is the fact that White Dog
does not bark and the neighborhood dogs do not bark in response to him. Sam even admits this
oddity to him self as he lies in the hospital after his near death experience. Neelie makes a point to
the family about ghost dog never barking, during her visit with Sam at the hospital. After her visit
Sam begins to think back on his experience with White Dog and realizes I ve never heard White
Dog bark (Kay 89). Another fact that questions the realism of White Dog is how he escaped
from the house to get help for Sam. This fact is only mentioned by Sam, and is easily dismissed
by the chance that he accidentally left a door open. Towards the end of the book Sam tells his
youngest son James his thoughts about White Dog. He states to James That was your mama (Kay
177). This, however, does not disprove that White Dog is real, it is merely his feelings.
In the book, To Dance With The White Dog, White Dog s existence is neither confirmed nor
denied. The author leaves it to the reader to come to his or her own conclusions about the realism
of White Dog. The book merely gives context clues and abstract ideas to the audience so that they
can derive an idea. The reader can

22. Software Engineering And Inventions Of The 20th Century
Assignment Week One 1. As software becomes more pervasive, risks to the public become an
increasingly significant concern. In your own words, develop a realistic scenario where the
failure of a software could do great harm to humans (economically or otherwise). Software
Engineering and Computers are the most important and strange inventions of the 20th century.
These two things have solved many of our biggest problems and made our life very easy and
given us huge power to control the world. But, like everything these can also have some negative
effects. We have built huge machines and powerful instruments to help humanity but we have
also put our lives at greater risk. For example, computers help us to diagnose diseases in seconds,
but on the other hand they are responsible for producing new diseases through new viruses,
dangerous chemicals and new military devices. One such scenario could be as follows: NASA
spent a huge amount of money to send a rocket into space over an eight year time frame. This
project was designed to send a scientist to space for research. After eight years of work and $52
Billion the rocket was ready to launch and three important astronauts were on board. The
astronauts were prepared for a range of experiments to investigate life in space and the production
of gases in various locations. Countdown begins. Finally the rocket left the earth and everyone at

Social Media in the Twenty First Century The first social media site that was actively used,
Myspace, was created in 2003. In the upcoming years after this, numerous social media sites
were created, such as, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The effects of social media on people
have been researched for several years. Two authors, Shirley Lee and Eva Wiseman, have
similar and different views on social media. Using their views and persuasive methods, they
wrote an article on the outcomes of social media. The conclusion of social media, from both
authors, is that it can be useful in everyday life, damaging to teens mental health, and cause
lingering effects. Social media can be very useful in everyday lives. In Lee s view, she used her
Facebook application to send gifts to her friends she didn t get to see often in person. She insists
that Facebook is a cool app for sending gifts and I have 50 ongoing conversations on the app
(Lee 4). Facebook can help you keep in touch with distant family, or friends, by posting pictures
or status. Similarly, Wiseman states that young girls use it to stay connected. The author,
Wiseman, generalized that they post pictures, and status updates often throughout a day.
However, Wiseman s opposing view on using social media everyday is that it can put pressure
on teenagers because they feel as if they have to keep posting to stay pertinent. For example, a 13
year old that was interviewed said, It s like I m a brand..to stay relevant you have

Sight words: words that are automatically and effortlessly recognized without any conscious
application of decoding or word analysis strategies. o When teaching sight words to children you
should consider:
Words should appear frequently in print
Words should be in a reader s oral vocabulary
Words cannot be pronounces using phonic generalizations
High frequency words: approximately 200 words account for about 50% of the words in nearly
any reading selection, and 400 words make up about 70% of most writing.
After repeated experiences with such words in meaningful context, these words become sight
words.
A, about, after, again, be, because, call ,can, did, do, does don t, every, for, go, had, has, have,

These procedures help children see common words repeatedly and provide additional environmental
print.
Another common strategy is modeled writing, where teachers can draw attention to sight words
during a writing activity that models writing behavior. In this way, teachers can emerge several
instructional goals within the modeled writing activity.
Morpheme: the smallest unit of meaning in a word. o Free morpheme: can stand alone. EX: cat
contains a single morpheme and can stand alone. o Bound morpheme: cannot stand alone. EX: s in
cats means there is more than one cat, but s cannot stand alone without cat cannot stand alone
Morphemic analysis: involves looking at word parts, such as prefixes, suffixes, and root words, to
help determine a word s meaning. o Often used with English Learners or struggling readers to help
them build vocabulary, and the strategies presented in this book help all learners pronounce the
word parts associated with morphemic

justice, to show his solidarity, and to battle anti blackness in his own community before

for their own causes and change to hashtags like #LatinoLivesMatter , #NativeLivesMatter for

from BLM and erasing the origins and all the work that has been done to make this movement. All
the similar tags that were on social media with intentions of being in solidarity with Black
communities didn t really help the need of non Black people to consider the anti Blackness in their
neighborhoods. For us to be in solidarity with BLM means that we need to seriously and actively
interrogate the anti Blackness we find within our own Latino communities .

 Ramos
discussed the concept of race within different cultural frameworks. The dichotomy of Black and

Illuminati based novel Angels and Demons in the holy city of Catholics. Many others love to have
Illuminati base theories set within this important place. What people do not realize is that there is a

or not, there is no doubt that financial mismanagement existed. If there had been no
mismanagement, it would be very odd that Pope Francis created groups and hired others to help
with the finances and odd that he chastised employees for the debts. It seems that Pope Francis is
indeed what the leadership of the Catholics needed. He has begun changing the way things are in
social concerns as well. He focuses on changing the Vatican and the leadership of the faith for
the better. Financial corrections and the end of corruption is just one of the many ways he is
doing so. While it is not the deep conspiracy corruption many in the world fantasize about, the
financial troubles because of officials not wanting to pay so much or whatever truly happened is
still a troubling corruption in itself. Those who work for the papacy need to embody the traits that
believers would expect of someone who works for the Catholic faith. Pope Francis is the one who

They also have specific rules to follow for each community. The commercialization has also
affected the need for online secure and private places where employees can interact in a better

commercial pressures and react with measures such as downsizing and outsourcing,
(Hildreth,2004, vii) they have realised the need for creating communities which are virtual and
need to communicate with each other over large distances and different time zones. The reasons
for an online community for large business organizations is that they can get expert advice from
people who specialise in their fields and are appointed as online experts to help their sub
employees get maximum performance and their questions answered in faster way which will
directly help in their productivity. There can be announcements which can be posted and read

November 1, 2016 Risk Factors for Falls Among Geriatric Population Living in Nursing Facilities
Falls are a major problem in elderly population in the United States living in nursing facilities.
Statistics from Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) show that approximately
800,000 seniors fall each year and 1 in 3 of those will fall twice or one more time in a year.
(Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2012). Most falls are caused by a combination of risk
factors. The more risk factors a person has, the greater their chances of falling. Healthcare
providers can help cut down a person s risk by reducing the fall risk factors
(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2012). Serious injuries have resulted from the falls
such as hip fractures, concussions, decreased cognitive and functional abilities, and increased risk
of death. The cost of treatment resulting from falls is rising each year. According to CDC,
adjusted for inflation, the direct medical costs for fall injuries are $31 billion annually. (Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention,2016). Those who do not suffer severe injuries live with fear of
falling so they restrict their activities, which lead to increased comorbidities.

40. The Impact Of Social Media On Business Objectives
The use of social media to support business objectives is already a popular strategy among business
organizations, especially those that recognize social media has a useful tool for establishing and
maintaining profitable relations with the market. However, it is interesting to note that business
representations in traditional media, such as magazines, could be different from business
representations in the social media. Such differences in representation put emphasis on how the
features of social media impose certain requirements that businesses need to effectively satisfy, such
as the requirement on maintaining engaging communication with the target market. This report
evaluates the representations of Valentino, and compares such... Show more content on

In Vogue magazine, the reader is simply presented with text and images that directly come from the
company, based on what the company wants to show to the target customer. For example, Valentino
shows off its rights, such as handbags and sunglasses in ways that have been stylized and designed
based on the corporate ideals of the firm. The representations of the company in the social media are
similar because the company also provides images and textual information about its products. For
example, on Twitter, the company frequently shares images of its products, such as handbags and
dresses. However, the representations of the company on the social media are significantly different
from its representations in bold magazine. For example, in the social media, the company actually
uses considerable amounts of information coming from various sources. For example, on Twitter,
the company retweets information coming from other Twitter users. One could easily find
Valentino retweeting tweets from other users like MatchesFashion.com and Grazia_Live, and even
individual customers like Rosario Dawson. In this regard, while the company uses mainly company
sponsored information in representing itself through the traditional media like Vogue magazine, the
company uses information from other companies and individual people in addition to company
sponsored information on the social media, especially Twitter. This is

42. Analysis Of The Poem Utnapishtim Immortality
Matthew Loper Ms Teresa Wells World Lit 2423 363 September 21, 2015 Utnapishtim
Immortality Utnapishtim was granted immortality for the simple fact that Enlil hated him and
wanted to punish him with eternal life. Utnapishtim was told by Ea that the flood was coming,
and he knew that would be the end of mankind. Utnapishtim said to Ea Your command, my lord,
exactly as you said it, I shall faithfully execute. (pg73 line 33) Ultimately he developed a plan to
save himself and the people. His plan was to construct a huge boat and when the floods came the
people would be on the boat and not be killed. Utnapishtim knew he had to have a plan in order
for the construction of the boat to be completed. He was very smart with his plan and knew how
to bring the people together and for the boat to be finished in time. In order for his plan to work
he had to come up with a story to tell his people. He had to have a believable story so they would
follow him and not think he was crazy. He asked Ea for advice on this matter, and asked what he
should tell the people. He was told to tell the people that Enlil is angry with him and that he must
find a new place to live. The story works and the people stand blindly behind him. For seven days
straight Utnapishtim sacrificed a lamb or a bull in a celebratory manner and the people feasted
until the bellies were full. There was also plenty of beer and wine to keep the people happy. After
the 7 days the boat was complete. Enlil wanted to destroy

43. Hades, an Influence on Greek Society
Greek gods, the basis of Greek culture and religion, are the center of Greeks superstitions and
ways to worship. These relate to the god s origin and their deeds in their myths. Gods can either
show jealousy, courage, or kindness to mortals and other gods, so Greeks label the gods based on
their qualities. In most circumstances, the Greeks decide whether to worship or despise a god only
by whom or what they rule over. For example, Greeks show reluctance in worshipping Hades, the
Lord of the Underworld. Greeks hold celebrations and festivities to earn favor from the gods.
Greek gods can either have a positive or a negative impact on Greek culture. Most people believe

In other minor myths, Hades acts relenting and fair towards others. For example, after hearing
Orpheus pleas to save his wife, Eurydice, from the dead, Hades soft heart allowed him to do so.
Therefore, Hades does have a bit of kindness in his heart. He only presides over the dead and
maintains order. People focus only on Hades unlikeable qualities, and believe that Hades only
has evil in his mind and heart. However, he is fair and doesn t unnecessarily punish someone if
they don t deserve it. Gods and mortals show displeasure when confronted by Hades. Most
Greek myths situate him near to water at the edges of the earth, or the deepest depths of the
underground. In this way, most of Greek society ignore or try to avoid him. Hades doesn t get
involved in Olympus festivities and doesn t interfere in the normal world. Hades expresses
reluctance to show his face in public. He leaves the Underworld wearing a headgear that makes
him invisible (Taylor). Rarely worshipped by humans, Greek society believes Hades brings
unluckiness to whoever speaks his name. Worshipping the God of the Dead didn t sound good to
most of Greek society. Worshippers of Hades, who went to Eleusis, a temple, were outcasts and
often shunned by the normal worshippers because they didn t conform to the proper Greek culture.
As a result, followers of Hades worship in secret, usually in obscure locations where no one can

44. Vibrio Cholera Essay
Vibrio cholerae, the Human Immune System, and Vaccines
Cholera remains a drastically severe disease, killing hundreds of people each outbreak. When
ingested, it attaches to the mucosal lining of the intestines and disrupts the normal flow of ions so
that there is more sodium, chloride, and water in the intestinal lumen than normal and results in
massive diarrhea. Cholera has made a global impact and been endemic in almost all parts of the
world. Cholera control strongly emphasizes sanitation, clean drinking water, isolation, and careful
food preparation. Two ways our body works against cholera as a self limiting disease are sloughing
cells and the secretory immunoglobulin (sIgA) antibody produced by mucus throughout our body.

Although the mucosa itself does not appear to be damaged by CT, the net flow of Na+ into
tissue is decreased and the net flow of Cl and water out of tissue is increased so as a result, there
is more Na+, Cl , and water in the lumen than there should be. This leads to massive diarrhea and
great electrolyte imbalance. A patient with severe cholera can lose up to 20L of water a day
(Salyers A., Abigail, 141). At times, diarrhea becomes so dilute it is almost clear, containing
flecks of mucus that it is called rice water stool because of its watery consistency (Salyers A.,
Abigail, 142). This rapid rate of water loss and dehydration is tremendously fatal. At its most
extreme, symptoms emerge in 3 4 hours, previously healthy patients can die within 6 8 hours of
infection, and more commonly go into shock 6 12 hours after infection and die within 18 hours
(Weekly Epidemiological Record, 6). Cholera s level of severity is very life threatening and
remains a big problem even in our world today. Almost 100 countries worldwide are still affected
by cholera and it s virtually impossible to completely prevent an outbreak. If left alone, this rapidly
infectious disease can cause many fatalities. However, improved methods for surveillance,
diagnosis, and treatment, paired with higher standards of sanitation and personal

Bomb(Fallout) Shelters In the 1950 s during Dwight D. Eisenhower s presidency which was also
the peak of the Cold War, The Soviet Union s development and testing of WMD s (Atomic,
Nuclear and H Bomb) raised fears of war around the world. The Soviet Union started to expand
their idea of communism to democratic nations in Europe, this raised tensions with the U.S. which
heighten fear and anxiety of the American public of an imminent nuclear/Atom/H Bomb war
between the super powers. The Federal Civil DefenseAdministration created by President Harry
Truman launched an aggressive campaign educating the American public especially those in the
suburbs on how to survive, the government believed that cities would be the primary targets and
people leaving near needed to know how to survive. According to an article titled U.S. H Bomb

46. Character Analysis Of June Cleaver
After several days spent meticulously filtering and interpreting the poorly translated web of
psychological theories, Katharine Cook Briggs finally decides to unwind on her recliner. She
calls her daughter, Isabel, eager to hear about the newest rendition of the Myers Briggs Type
Indicator, test form D, but she is unavailable ( A Guide to... ). She turns on the television,
interested to hear the latest news updates on the deteriorating geopolitics of the late 1950s.
Instead, she receives an unappreciated surprise in the form of the perky, gleeful face of
stereotypical housewife June Cleaver on Leave it to Beaver as she thoughtlessly cleans, cooks, and
cares for the family, all the while indoctrinating the audience on domestic female roles that
Katharine finds both diminutive and regressive. June Cleaver may not have been the news
Katharine was anticipating, but it was equally informative. She very well could have been a June
type mother, or worse, her daughter could have been. This comedic television trope of the average
housewife reinvigorates Katharine, a constant reminder of her good fortune growing up in an
intellectually supportive environment. She turns off the television, opens Psychologische Typen
von C.G. Jung, and continues to comb through the pages, endlessly searching for the key to unlock
the complexities of personality ( Myers and...). Most mothers pass down jewelry. Katharine Cook
