 around inner organs, such as liver.

 More likely to have a fat liver.

Healthy BMI 18.5~25

• Healthy BMI      18.5~25
• Overweight BMI   25~29
• Obese BMI        30~40



Health risks from excess weight begin when
BMI is 25 or more
However,
BMI is crude estimate of body fatness—BMI of 25 to 30 is a
marker of overweight

But not necessarily a marker of overfat:
• It does not apply older adults, pregnant or lactating women.
• Many men have extra muscle tissues.



BMI alone should not be used to diagnose overweight or
obesity.
