This document provides instruction on changing sentences from the active to the passive voice in English. It explains that in the passive voice, the object of the active sentence becomes the subject and the subject becomes implied or omitted. Examples are given of changing sentences to the passive voice using the past participle of the verb combined with forms of to be. Exercises have students change sample active sentences to the passive voice.
