2. Is a verb tense that we use to talk about something that
happened in the past but has relevance in the present,
either because it happened very recently or because it is an
action that has not yet been completed.
It i formed with the verb have/
has and the past participle of
the main verb of the sentence,
thus:
Subeject + auxiliary verb + main verb + complement
past participle
We have traveled before to that city
Other examples:
• I have worked here for a year.
• He has been in London for six months now.

3. To form a negative setence in the present perfect simple,
you must add the conjunction not between the verb have
and the past participle of the main verb of the sentence.
Others examples:
• You have not (haven´t) said anything.
• She has not (hasn´t) talked to me.

4. To form a question in the present perfect simple tense,
precede the verb have/has before the subject of the
sentence. If you are going to use Wh Questions. Just
add the question to the sentence.

college?
• Have you eaten Indian food?

5. Remember that:
The verb have/ has is conjugated depending on the subject of
the sentence. Thus:

6. The past perfect is used to refer to an action that
ocurred in the past before another. In this case, the
first action is conjugated in past perfect, while the
second, more recent action is conjugated in past
simple.
Example:
• I had watched the movie before i read the book
It serves to talk about an action ocurred before a specfic
time in the past.
Example:
• I had fallen a sleep when the clock rang at 11 PM.
